The best restaurants serving British food in London

AVOID AVOID AVOID. This is an absolute scam. Myself and my friends paid £40 for our tickets, rocked up only to see the shutters down along with an eviction notice attached to the front door. If you buy a ticket and turn up you won’t be enjoying brunch, it literally doesn’t even exist.

It was a great evening at this fantastic place. Their coffee tastes so nice thanks to the cute bartender Bishnu. All their staff were so nice and kind . Very good service I will defenately visit here again because of the environment. Last but not the least server Hasan was a good man and very good story teller for his good service I had to post this big review.

Viaje en familia a Londres y nos coincide con el Madrid-Barça, por lo que nos pusimos en contacto para ver si era posible verlo allí. Nos contestaron que no retrasmitían LaLiga y cancelamos la reserva. Unos días antes del partido tuvieron el detalle de contactar con nosotros para informarnos que finalmente si lo echarían, por lo que volvimos a resevarlo. La noche de la reserva estuvimos ubicados en una situación reservada para ver el partido, mientras tomábamos cervezas en un pub inglés tradicional, con un ambiente esoectacular y saludable. La cena también muy buena, hamburguesas riquísimas. En cuanto al trato del personal inmejorable, con unos camareros muy atentos y simpáticos. Muchas gracias por todo, el día que volvamos a Londres iremos de nuevo sin dudar!

The ambience is not pleasant. We waited over an hour for our food. With around 15 guests in the store it was abysmal. The waiter wasn't particularly friendly. The fries were really bad, the burger was ok, but of a manageable size. No recommendation for this store.

Best fish and chips we had in London. It’s a little off the beaten path but very busy. I highly recommend it. Have the waitress tell you the story of why it’s haunted.

Fabulous place, down to earth with lovely and helpful staff and owner. And so tasty- quite possibly the best BBQ oyster I’ve ever had! Highly recommended.

Curry in a Pub. What more could you ask for? Even my in-laws over from Canada (who hate curry) stated how Marvelous the food was.

My son and his new wife had their London wedding celebration here and it was wonderful! Amber helped us with all the planning and gave great advice. The food was delicious and plentiful and the service was slick with lovely helpful staff. It looked wonderful on the day and having the garden was a real bonus on the day. It was a joyous day in a relaxed venue and we all had a wonderful day. Happy to recommend if you are looking for a relaxed venue who really know how to deliver!

Wonderful 9th century coaching house that specialises in mead

A lot of Very rude male staff. not a kid friendly place to stay. Front desk male staff who assisted checking out had a know-it-all atittude. Big male staff wearing coat in the dining hall was loud, strong and unkind to my kid. Even threatened to put my kid in a dark room. The waiter during the wedding we attended banged the wine bottle on our table for no reason. All female staff were kind and nice. Very POOR Customer service from MALE STAFF. Place was very nice but because of the experience from the staff and big man wearing coat our stay became a nightmare.

DO NOT DO THE BOTTOMLESS BRUNCH! If I could give this place no stars I would. The service, attitude of the staff and the food and drink were diabolical. We booked a bottomless brunch for a hen do, to which half of the food menu was not available at 12pm! We didn’t have a first full round of drinks until an hour in to our two hour session. We were told there was no cranberry juice, which is the base of most cocktails, to which we ask what can they do and they went to the shop and bought some. Out of the three non alcoholic cocktails they could only make one even though they were on the menu. To top the whole lot off one of the chicken burgers was EXTREMELY RAW and this was given to a pregnant woman. We were told by the person behind the bar that this was not the first time this has happened either. We highly recommend that they do not serve bottomless brunch anymore as the service cannot be provided.
