🚇 Tooting 🍺 £5.95 Pravha The Goringe Park is located on the border between Tooting and Mitcham in Southwest London. The nearest station is Tooting mainline, the nearest Tube is Tooting Broadway. The Gorringe Park dates back to 1879, taking its name from the nearby Gorringe Park Estate which is long since been swallowed up by suburbia. This was originally a Young and Co pub, Charles Wells Pub Company purchased it from Youngs in 2012. This is a vibrant and spacious multiroom pub which is set out over three floors. The main bar is located on the ground floor and is set out in a “J” shape around a centrally located servery. The decor is bold, mixing bright colours, eclectic furniture and traditional fireplaces. In the basement is a Cinema room, upstairs is a function room called The Library which has a small bar and a contemporary decorative feel. At the back of the pub is a walled beer garden with a tiki hut. The beer line up was broad and featured familiar brands, two cask ales and beers from @brewpointuk which I’ve not seen in London before. I kept it simple and ordered a Pravha, my pint was great, price point was average. The food menu was predominantly burgers with a few traditional pub grub options, Fish & Chips costs £13.95. I arrived just after opening at 12pm and was the first punter through the doors. I was greeted by the Guv’nor who was welcoming, friendly and personable. He was kind enough to give me a tour of the pub, and he told me all about the history of the pub and what they have on. Unfortunately this pub shut its doors in the summer and it is not clear what the next step is or what the future holds. One thing is for certain, pubs are closing at a phenomenal rate across the country and need as much support as they can get. Utilities companies, landlords and the government need to do a lot more. Our first time at this lovely, friendly and amazing pub. The garden was set in beautiful surroundings. Staff were friendly and polite. The food was amazing and the price unbelievable. Two courses for £10. Chicken supreme , the best I've ever tasted. We certainly shall be returning ♥️Very dog friendly too♥️

A noisy, overpriced, expensive, unkempt bar. A good clean would not go amiss as would a smile or two from the staff. Noisy, and if you are not keen on dogs do not go. They may be occupying your seat! One table of loud ugly drunks unapprehended by staff! Must be locals. Not for me again.

First time visit and definitely will be back Mothers day treat from my family and it was fabulous staff were very attentive surroundings pleasant and restaurant is well run and friendly Menu was exactly what I was hoping for lots of choice. Food was excellent and well presented and really tasty. Thanks for making my Mother’s Day extra special.

Had set meal fish, chips and peas £7 was really nice fish was beautiful so was chips altogether really great

While the food was very good. This Chinese all you can eat restaurant should be called the Chinese eat what the manager says you can eat restaurant .He came to our parties table with an aggressive and loud voice saying we had ordered to many dishes and to be aware of the £7a dish charge for uneaten food letting not just us but the whole know , so embarrassing and as a result members of our party left feeling hungry and at £25 per head this was not on . Will definitely never use this place again and could never recommend to anyone

Nos fuimos esperando 35 minutos para los sándwiches - bien cuatro en un plato enorme y muy pequeño, el té llegó 10 minutos después de que nos sentamos. Después de preguntar lo que estaba sucediendo fue informado de que la taza de sopa se había agotado y podríamos tener los bocadillos primero - no es ideal, pero fuimos con él. De nuevo Luke cálido y promedio no puedo llamarlo un rollo de salchicha que no era más grande que mi uña del pulgar. ¡Cuando llegaron los pasteles estaban listos para el servicio nocturno! Tuvimos una pizarra con feliz cumpleaños y nos dieron una caja para llevárnosla en caso de que estuviéramos llenos y luego nos pidieron pagar. Cuando dijimos cómo sentimos que a la recepcionista grosera no le gustó lo que dijimos - solo dijimos que estábamos decepcionados - £ 150 para 2 personas con un vaso de pastel rosa cada £ 10 de la cuenta era para agua embotellada. Definitivamente NO llamaría a esto un té de la tarde, en mi opinión personal no malgastes tu dinero hay mucho mejor y mucho más barato por ejemplo el Ritz

Wow, all I can say is this pub is very expensive. £14.40 for a not very nice glass of wine and a real ale. Pubs close by offer better value for money. I wouldn't use again. Go elsewhere

My local for three years. Although I travel in to town for beers. I long for them to sell a more contemporary hazy pale. Get a Burnt Mill tap on or some cans in the fridge. Then mebbe I can come down and watch the footy.

Beergarden surprises with comfort and space. The service was impeccable

For a 4 star I expected better. The staff were very welcoming but the rented apartment was cold, literally and figuratively and very poorly insulated. The heaters were not working. Sewage smells in the bathroom. The terrace at the back is used for storing rubbish of all kinds. Positive points: close to the center, very spacious and top bedding!

Fantastic welcome at this cosy pub, with a lovely garden area, including undercover plus great food. Generous reasonably priced tasty food. We certainly plan to return for a family meal.

Very nice, helpful lady on the bar with long straight blondey hair. Great traditional pub food, big portions. Had a lovely time. Also they do nice bottled drinks instead of watered down ones and those lovely floater coffees which are lush after a roast and hard to come by these days. Thank you. 🤩
