Grill Room

Betws-y-Coed, Conwy
13/12/2018: Have visited here for coffee and cake during the week in the hotel section and was always Ok so decided to try the festive menu with family and friends. The set out is Ok though we did think the music was slightly too loud for lunch and tables a little basic . Waitress was a little inexperience due to taking our order and not remembering who had ordered it when it was eventually brought to the table,. Food was ok ( Turkey very nice ) poor miniature spouts and kale....not sure that`s a traditional veg . Had to ask for Cranberry sauce which when arrived was just hard berries in a little jelly and they had no apple sauce ?? Dessert was the worse. Christmas pudding sauce was like water, the Bara Brith Panna Cotta looked like cat food and was awful along with the hard tasteless mullied fruit. When the waitress came to collect the dirty plates she tried juggling all the plates in one right next to one of our guests, what happened to taking 2 plates away at a time and not disturbing the diners.Would not return even though was are all local. Need I say more.
19/11/2018: Always eat at this restaurant when staying in the area, never fails, excellent service and food. I would recommend the welsh lamb or mix grill if you are feeling particularly hungry,

The Crown Hotel

Corwen, Denbighshire
12/12/2018: Very friendly staff and the food was of a good pub standard. It was a bit noisy where the television was and sound echoed. There is a separate dining room but sat in the bar as it was full.
09/12/2018: Very disappointed, great old coaching inn.

Granville's

Criccieth, Gwynedd, >100£
10/09/2015: Fantastic food, but you need to book! Great selection and not bad price for the quality. Shame it's so far from home or we would be regulars!
09/09/2015: El servicio y la comida era buena. se sirve una botella abierta de vino que no sabía muy bien (no estaba abierto por mesa y no nos dieron la posibilidad de ensayo). El conocimiento del vino y la comida desde el camarero no era la mejor.

01/09/2017: We are staying at the camp ground that this place is in so it was a short walk to get dinner . Apart from the staff being very friendly the chef is good at his job . I had a steak with pepper sauce loved every bit of it .My wife had chimichanga chicken and scored it a 10 Although it is basically a Mexican place you can get other styles of food and kids meals as well

Hog Roast

Offa, Wrexham
04/09/2016: One of the best tasting any succulent hog roasts I have ever eaten. Quality of extras provided were great. Bap was very fresh an light which on a Sunday pm is difficult to find. The addition of corn on the cob was magic.
