Friendly pub a few minutes walk from the Wallace monument. 2 wines for under £9 good value for Stirling. Lovely strong smell of bleach as we walked in .

Hadn't been in here before and entered the lounge, we were asked to go through to the bar to sit as we were not having food. No indication that this is a restaurant, it's a pub lounge, but we went through to the bar. There were 6 regulars in the bar. We were joined by folks we had been with earlier and a singer/guitarist in the company started to play Caledonia, a lovely Scottish song. She was asked to desist by the female behind the bar, who said someone had complained, although who it was was a mystery as no-one in the bar had done so. The way it was conveyed was very rude and we all decided to leave the premises(approx 20 of us). One of the regulars apologised to us as we were leaving. It is a sad day when a Scottish song cannot be tolerated in a Scottish pub and even more ironic given the name of this Inn and the fact it is at Bannockburn. Disgusted doesn't cover it, I'll never darken their doorstep again. Foul attitude.

En route to Samyeling Temple we stopped for lunch and had viewed their type of menu on web, but did not realise that the Sunday Roast Lunch was to be booked, and it was very busy. We managed to get a table but there was not enough of the roast dinner to go around but offered us soup which we were grateful for as don't think there are any other places to go for lunch near hand? My parsnip soup was lovely but my sisters vegetable and red lentil she tasted had a sour taste and I had to agree with her so she spoke to a waiter who offered to change it to the parsnip soup which was a good outcome. Lovely two slices of brown bread and two butters but I opted for the cheese scone, a wee bit dearer, but I must say was very good indeed. Usually cheese scones are not cheesy enough for me but this was good and they agreed to warm it through for me. I complimented the chef who made them who was very humble. We did not realise this is more of a community hub and not just a cafe, which must be great for the immediate locals with a place to go. It sounds an interesting place and stop off point for cyclists. Would definitely recommend going here, accept what they have to offer and enjoy.

Fortunate to get reservations at O'CONNORS last minute. Management kindly helped us out. My background is in hospitality, and I can Honestly say this my favourite restaurant to date. Excellent looking menu, reasonably priced. Quirky, warm & welcoming place, with excellent staff. In view of the kitchen, watching the chef's dishing up there delicious creations. Armagh lady was serving us, a delight to speak to. Starters, chicken wings & japanse style gougons. Unreal, Perfect starters, large portions 2 Ribeyes, cooked to our likely, mouthwatering is an understatement. Make Reservations for this place.. Unfortunately no photos left our phones at home, on date night. Thankyou yo all staff front & back of house. M Tohill

Came across this place by accident on our way to the National Museum. The place was jam-packed, which is always a good sign. The spicy Sichuan hotpot was absolutely incredible, I could eat it every day forever. Blew my friend's head off with the spice, but if ever anything was worth losing your head over, this would be it!

We had an Itison voucher so came in here for lunch and to taste Lithuanian food. Very interesting and different menu. Didn't seem to serve wine but the litres of Lithuanian craft beer were great- around £9-11 a bottle. Opted for a selection of food - layered herring salad at £7.40, octopus bites at £8.95 and a beer platter at £16.90 containing fried bread and cheese and others.. Food was very very filling and I think we over-ordered. Finished with a pud at £6.50 so think we managed most of the tastes. Lovely couple running the restaurant. Very friendly and helpful. Would recommend as something different.

I moved in and due to this corono stuff they don't give you fresh towels and only change and clean your room once a week.. This won't work for me so it's to the council tommorow to get emergency viris corono19 funds to buy towels but if they don't allow you acsees to washing facilitys then it's buy use once and bin. Like the council tells to to wash hands and keep clean but then you have to use dirty towels . Apart from that my room is OK needs a paint...
