I’ve been meaning to leave a review for a while. Had another excellent takeaway tonight from the bengal tiger. After a recent takeover it’s back with a bang. An excellent chicken tikka jalfrezi with lovely onion rice My missus also had vegetable korma. plenty fresh veg and sauce and she raves about it. Previous owners were diabolical with veggie dishes. Perfect takeaway right on our doorstep won’t hesitate now to invite friends round for a takeaway.

Purchased take away Fish and Chips. Fish was okay. Maybe 8/10. Chips were poor. Cold, hard, dry with the impression they had been fried some time earlier and were lying in hot tray or similar. Maybe 4/10. Also no lemon slices available. Cost cutting?? Certainly a drop in standards since my previous visit. Wouldn’t recommend on basis of June 2024 visit.

Had a lovely evening meal at the Forbes Arms Hotel in The Bridge of Alford. The food was excellent and good variety and good quality, nice portions. Service was really good, friendly, and well cared for. Good value and nice atmosphere. They have really spent a lot on bringing this old hotel to a first class place to dine or stay.

Great bar with nice friendly staff but let down by the horrible stench of Vape smokers, shame because it puts many people off going in !

We came for dinner on Wednesday evening. The place looked spotlessly clean. The service was first class. The food was delicious. I would recommend the fish & chips, and the wife would recommend the seabass. We will definitely come back again.

Disappointed with our meal, both my partner and myself had to ask if they would top up the buffet selection. We both got a first plate of food but by the time we were ready for a 2nd a lot of the trays were empty! We waited just short of 40 minutes for fresh food to be put out and then we had to ask for a sweet and more drinks. The staff were not busy only 3 tables of couples in the restaurant yet they seemed reluctant to actually serve us. We will not be in a hurry to return here which is a shame as it would have been a treat had the service been better.

Over priced cafe £2.50 for the smallest pot of tea I have ever seen I know they have overheads but how much does it cost to make a cuppa

Cafe is in a building which is half hairdresser and half cafe. This is okay but there isnt a lot of seats and the seats/tables they do have are very close so you cant help but overhear any conversations at the next tables. if you sit in the corner table you would need to get table behind to move a little bit in order to get out of the chair. Food was okay - think it would be a nice place to go for a morning coffee and a croissant.

After many recommendations decided to give New Moon a try. Superb, delicious three courses. Staff friendly and showed great attention to detail, smart decor throughout.

The service was fantastic from the staff, really helpful & friendly over the Easter weekend. The food is also really good quality. Particular shout-outs to the homemade split pea soup, scones & bread rolls which were some of the best we’ve had at a cafe in ages.
