The best restaurants in Scarborough Yorkshire and The Humber

3 of us went to this Manadarin in July 2024 as well as May and April. We had not been in years because lasr time was not a good experience with empty trays, cold food and poor service. All 3 times this year were excellent. The trays were always filled and the food hot with a large selection of various dishes as well as salad bar and huge selection of desserts. we made reservations since we were going on Sat afternoons and it gets busy. Service was friendly and prompt, It is so good to have a Manadarin closer to go to again with great food, selection and service. So happy you have improved and all 3 times were excellent. The value is good too. WE get to try so many different dishes and enjoy a lunch together with friends and family. keep up the good work. Thanks John.

Called in for a quick snack. Clean restaurant with friendly staff. We ordered coffee, which was very nice . However, the Bacon and Egg sandwich was very poor. The Bacon was clearly of a cheaper quality and was very tough and hard to consume. I did not complain, i did not feel it was correct to voice my opinion whilst other people were in earshot.

Great atmosphere & the most friendly staff. Cocktails were so nice and so many to choose from !! I will definitely be returning.

What’s really interesting about this cafe is that it’s part of the now closed second funicular tram at the top. Loved the Yorkshire owner of the cafe ☕️. Great bacon rolls before we checked into The Grand next door 🚪 (which we liked ❤️ too)

If you like lumpy mashed potato, tasteless veg and watery gravy, you will like this place. I have never seen a more sorry looking carvery in my life.

Came in for a couple of meals over the long weekend. First visit both had the Parmo, one being the spicy Parmo. Both very nice & extremely filling. Second visit on Steak night, 2 steak meals with a bottle of wine for £30. Had a side order of garlic king prawns which were very nice with the perfectly cooked steaks. The Resolution is consistently good value for money & the staff are great, you can always have a laugh with them.

Excellent takeaway while staying in Scarborough. Quick delivery service with lovely driver, nice and hot food, tasty too, good price. Would highly recommend.

I came here during each visit from Canada and we were just getting ready to return again. I am just shocked to find out that they have closed permanently and I can only live with my memories. I wanted to bring my wife there for what I hoped would be another incredible weekend. Here for lunch for sandwiches. A minor thing perhaps but they were not good, in fact, poor. Just expect more from a once fine hotel with a beautiful setting. needs to get their house in order.

We visited the waterfall on Saturday the 27th July 24. My husband is Diebetic and his numbers was low so we decided to pop into the pub for a drink. Unfortunatly the pub was closed due to an electrical issue and the young man that was there went and got my husband and I a couple of cokes free of charge to help with his blood sugar levels. Just this kind act says everything about this pub and we will ensure on our next visit we will pop in for some food. Thank you again to the young member of staff for helping someone in need.

Not only does this place sell belting tea/coffee (husband said it was the best coffee he'd had all week) and cold drinks. They are kind and helpful beyond words... on 29th Oct 24 we decided to visit Staithes and it didn't disappoint, an absolutely stunningly, breathe taking place. My only gripe is that we didn't get a proper mooch as our trip was cut very short when my kids were playing on the beach and a wave came in quick, my son ran 1 way and another boy ran another way with a spade in the air, which resulted in my 6 year old little boy bleeding heavily from a gash in his face... there was so much blood I couldn't even see where he was bleeding from... the amazing lady from the sea drift cafe was first to come and see if he was okay... she then offered us advice and care as a first aider and a lift straight to the car park which was at least a 15 mins walk and gave us directions to the nearest hospital, where he was treated in urgent care. Would highly recommend this place even if it is just to get a dose of what actual, kind humanity looks like again, in this crazy fast paced world! My daughter organised afternoon tea to be delivered to my home for my birthday as a surprise. Stepney Hill weren't really doing deliveries at this time but still agreed to do it as my daughter lives in Liverpool and wasn't able to see me on my birthday. The tea was lovely and the staff went above and beyond to do this for us. Thank you Stepney Hill X

Visited Filey today and wanted Fish and Chips. What a stroke of luck to come across Dicky Bees, takeaway. Had one cod chips and peas and one cod chips and curry. Wow the fish was as good as we have ever had. Large meaty with a nice batter, not too thick. The chips and sides were tasty. The cost of £21.00 or both I didn't feel was over the top for the quality and quantity. Next time I visit Filey I will be going again.

My friend and I called in today. It was a cold, wet bleak day and we just wanted to get away from the weather and have something to eat. The young lady who greeted us was polite and friendly. We ordered two vegetarian breakfasts and drinks. The food arrived very promptly, was piping hot and very tasty. Nothing was too much trouble. Shout out to Kate and Andy for amazing service. Just before posting a review I checked out other reviews, we had a totally different experience than some of the reviews, trust me we are fussy! Only didnt give 5 because it was a little chilly . BUT We will be back.
