Really disappointing to see what has become of this place. What used to be so friendly and full of life now feels like a soulless cash grab. NFTs? Really? I don't understand what has happened over the past year or two. This café has squandered its once great community and become something unrecognisable. Sure, the board games are still there, and the food is serviceable. But compared to what it was, that's just not enough for me anymore.

Only drinks available here on Sunday. Felt rather uncomfortable when we walked in as literally everyone turned around as we entered. Perhaps we took someone’s seat? Anyway we had drinks and left as felt very unwelcome. Toilets not great but functional

We had a special event here for my partners menu. Hengata was absolutely incredible! They prepared a totally new tasting menu for the occasion which was much better value for money than anywhere else in Harborne. The food was perfect and the chefs and the waiting team couldn’t have looked after us better. Thank you to the Hengata team!

Been to restaurant about 6 times prior to tonight and always been fantastic so booked for my niece’s 13th birthday. My whole family went, they were so impressed with everything, the food the staff are amazing 🤩 They even got balloons and banners. The prices are brilliant and you can take your own drink which is an added bonus, couldn’t praise them enough 🙌🏻

We caught the last opening day of this delightful small walled garden nursery. The cafe is set within the garden with some tables spread amongst the flower beds. Quality of food was very good. The venue is a place for loyal locals and visiting horticultural enthusiasts alike. Will definitely visit again when it reopens in the Spring.

Stopped by on way back from some work locally. Wow what a find, from the service, to the food to the 90s play list on the sound system. A real find.

Went into Solihull solely for house items shopping, but our eyes caught this ‘hole in the wall’ and on a sunny day they had outdoor seating! :) My girlfriend and I were Greeted and so warmly spoken to by such a smilingly glowing woman. Smashing sandwiches too!!! THANK YOU

Having visited as a couple for tea and cake & as a group of 7 for afternoon tea, I would strongly recommend it. I’ve had many afternoon teas and the balance of what was provided was perfect and one of the best I’ve had. It was great quality and the ladies that work there are lovely. We all felt so welcome and everyone enjoyed the experience. A real gem .

Took my kids here for ice creams. Ordered one in a tub as my 5 year old is coeliac so can't have a cone. Asked if the ice cream contains gluten and the girl serving said she didn't know. Asked if she could check in ingredients and she said she couldn't. Asked if she had any allergen information and she reluctantly picked up a pile of paperwork and said it didn't say. Decided to take the risk as ice cream is usually ok. She then presented me with an ice cream in a cone. Reminded her that I asked for a tub. She then turned her back to me, but craning my neck I was able to see that she just tipped the (now contaminated with gluten) ice cream into a tub and tried giving it to me. I asked for a fresh one without any contamination and was then presented with a lump of ice cream the size of a small egg. "Is that all you get?" I asked. "Yep. One scoop." Came the helpful reply. "Jeez" I answered. This prompted another member of staff to have a go at me saying "Leave her alone, she's just doing her best." "Yes but she's just not listening!" Said the lady behind me in the queue, who had obviously witnessed this terrible service. My 5 year old was really disappointed with the pitiful lump of ice cream, so we had to go to a pub called De Koffee Pot just down the road where they had a whole gluten free menu and the staff were really friendly and totally understood the importance of allergens. The ice cream there came in proper portion sizes and was actually much nicer too, and you get to sit overlooking the river. Wish we'd gone there first! So anyway, if you've got coeliac disease, give this place a miss. If you've got any serious allergies, DEFINITELY AVOID or you could end up seriously ill.

Been a WV1 corporate season ticket holder for over 5 years and in that time I have taken many clients to games. In the last couple of years the team have been very successful on the pitch so that has added to the experience. The turnover of staff in WV1 bar is high but the excellent Rachel, Ash and Gangun constant ensure the standard of bar service is superb. Catering is a bit hit and miss and choice is limited. Waiting times can also vary. I think the club have a job of work to do to sort out this side of the bar. This is my only complaint. Overall I love going in WV1 though and I have made many new friends in there. My clients love it too and many want to return on a regular basis.

To experience a coffee shop that doesn't feel like a chain, or a "fast food joint" like some (big red coffee shop) have become (I should know, I work for one) for somewhere to ACTUALLY relax, enjoy an actual handcrafted coffee and chat to the staff.... Coffee #1 is where I want to go. Dog Friendly too!
