I wasn’t really visiting the pub - I was just returning home with my car that had been in the garage - they hadn’t latched the bonnet properly so I pulled into the car park to close it - the pub was closed, and what I assume to be the landlady came out to have a go at me for being on private property - I turned the car around and wound the window down to tell her what I was doing and she started telling me I was rude - maybe she is on drugs or something - I hadn’t said a word!

First impressions from the outside are really off putting. The front carpark is partially blocked by an old estate car and the back carpark almost full of scrap delapidated vehicles of all types. There are fridge and washing machine and kegs scattered about the grounds as well. This may have something to do with storm damage that’s mentioned but it should be cleared away completely not left to walk past on way to restaurant. Why the owners would want this as a reflection of their business beggars belief. Inside it’s supposed to be in the process of renovation but from the front entrance onwards the decor is very tatty and once again sets a poor impresssion. The food is ok but as someone else has mentioned the green veg is a mishmash of sorts and left a pool of water at bottom of plate. It’s needs bringing up to date fast and the carpark cleared to become a venue that you would like to return to.

Our OAP care group were dropped off by carers who can drive and once we were seated, we had the most marvellous time and near the lavatories to boot! So to the venue. Easy parking, clean and super friendly welcome. We went all in for the full 'monty', and every plate was cleared and scored top marks. OJ’s and great coffee rounded off a terrific visit. Just a warning that this is a cash only establishment, which is a dying breed these days, however fun to meet the cash rich section of society. Thank you again we loved our visit

Takeaway delivery service for 4 people via Just Eat. Placed order at 7ish and given time of 19:45-20:05. We live about 1/3 mile away. At 20:20 we tried to call, but the Just Eat number is incorrect. Searched and found correct number and were told 5 mins. Delivery eventually arrived at 20:35, so a full 30 mins after the latest advised time! The food was tasty but almost cold and the portions maybe a little smaller than other places locally. Haven’t used this place for some years and hoped to be impressed, sadly was a bit lame.

The restaurant is lovely, set in the cloisters, the staff are attentive, very smartly dressed and the quality is good – possibly bordering on very good. However, the prices are now top end and higher than many London restaurants, for example, a fillet steak with a sauce and chips is priced at over £55 and this is before you include the 12.5% tip. That’s too much. A modest three course dinner, with a glass of wine, is starting to nudge £100 a head. I fear they are pricing themselves out of the market.

Poor Chinese that is overpriced and portions fairly small. Unfortunately only one other option in the area which is just as poor. Oxted residents pay it as may be they do not realise how poor it is compared to other Chinese take always in London and elsewhere . Not going here again. I would recommend you avoid it unless desperate for a Chinese and can’t be bothered to cook a decent meal. Disappointing really

Ordered food at 6:20pm and food was delivered 9:30 pm. I called several times to ask about the food and they said Mother’s Day rush. Food delayed for hours and food came and it terrible. Ordered for my sister and I and we both couldn’t eat because I don’t know why the food was tasteless and the beef sauce was watery. Never again.

Service was shocking by a girl, I asked meat and chips with garlic sauce and salad, that’s was a big mistake by me, she said she working here from last three months she didn’t see me, they don’t do salad with meat and chips, at end served tough chicken without garlic sauce and price was £ 11.50

I visited the Whyteleafe Park Pavilion on 14/11/22 with a couple of friends. Excellent hidden gem for good food and coffee. We had coffee, a bit of carrott cake and tried their Christmas panini - all of it was brilliant. Would thoroughly recommend as a place to visit for a coffee/cake/lunch, before walking round the park or heading up to the beautiful Riddlesdown Common.

We've been twice this week, it's so lovely. The decor is beautiful, the service is great and the prices are very reasonable. There is also a huge selection to choose from on the menu. The Mr Whippy ice cream is one of the best I've ever had, I would definitely recommend!

We (family of 4 or just us as a couple) used to visit fairly often - maybe once a month ish. However, we decided on the last occasion that we wouldn’t be returning anymore which is a real shame as we used to love it and we hoped it would become a bit of a tradition with the children. Unfortunately, there’s a few reasons - the quality and portion size has reduced whilst the pricing has increased. I’m all for paying an appropriate price for good quality food but one slice of basic toast with half an avocado and an egg isn’t it. They used to offer sourdough which is our favourite but no longer do. The full breakfast is, to be fair, a decent size and the boys are usually relatively happy with it (minus the super basic bread/toast) but the last time they had it, the scrambled egg was bland and unseasoned. We also ordered a side of bacon for 2 of our meals and I kid you not, we were charged £3 for ONE piece each. The coffee is also really poor (always has been but we overlooked it as the breakfast used to be fab). Generally it comes out at 1,000 degrees so the milk has burnt the espresso and there’s absolutely no difference in the flat white, latte and cappuccino. The atmosphere is always lovely and I’ve therefore marked that as 5 stars as the clientele are cheery and friendly. Sadly let down by the gentleman who is usually on the till or serving as he always seems rather miserable/ unhelpful and like he doesn’t want to be there. There’s also a lady that serves who’s pleasant though and the younger ones are always lovely and sweet. I think this little place could be a real gem if a bit more thought and effort was put in but for now, we’re trying to find somewhere new for our breakfast tradition.
