The best restaurants in East of England

Saturday night dinner for 2. Starters were lovely, lasagne was nice but pizza not appetising at all. We did not eat pizza & the staff were aware but it still appeared on the bill. The manager took it off the bill at our request but his customer service advice was next time you come, don’t order the pizza. Next time ……?!!

Pretty nice place to go to on a weekend morning. My friends and I enjoyed browsing through the records in the basement, not bad coffee

Enjoyed our visit to beach street. Food drinks and the ferris wheel and beach not far!

Had the best Sunday roast we have had for years. What a lovely friendly pub. Even our dog was welcome in the bar area.

Paella night on a Thursday is definitely an experience. We arrived early and was seated almost immediately. And the Paella.....go and try it for yourself....best I have had since Fuerteventura last year. Good food at a fair price. Staff are lovely too. Update: Back after 5 years for our 4th Anniversary , still fantastic food ,pictures speak for themselves. Deliciousness in the making. Staff are as lovely as they have always been. Wont leave it 5 years before returning. 😜💞. Update : Thursday night is Paella night. Lovely food in a relaxed atmosphere. Perfect.😊

Terrible food! Not visited for a few years and was very disappointed with the portion sizing and quality of food Used to be the go to place but standards have completely changed Will not be visting again!

Great food and service. As it is a small place, we did find it noisy so may avoid at the weekend in future but would definitely come back on a quieter night.

Well that was a great find. Been really difficult to find a restaurant in or around bury st Edmunds that does a decent Sunday lunch. Absolutely fabulous. Compliments to the chef. Service was exceptional too. Our new ‘go to’ place.

This place never disappoints. Warm welcome, cosy environment. Good choices on the menu, something for everyone. Great service too and imho, not expensive! Plan ahead and book, it’s understandably popular

Ate there a couple days ago. Food was edible, nothing out of this world, atmosphere was OK, also, nothing eye-catching or particularly interesting Quite expensive. I was served by a lovely American redhead girl. So that is why I gave a five star review for service, she was absolutely wonderful.

Relaxed place with good food. Vegan and vegetarian options were good so all our group were well catered for. I don't know what the rest of the staff are like but Karolina, Andrea and Annabel are all excellent!

The Two Magpies is simply legendary. Many thanks to Chris and Julie. A fabulous pizza night. And the new Bee Sting Pizza is yum yum yum!
