This is the best curry house around. It's consistently well run with immaculate service and excellent cuisine. The management take great care that everything is good for you. £65 for two, popadoms, chutney, samosas, main course curries with rice, beers. Love this place.

The India Grill delivered an exceptional dining experience! The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly The India Grill Special—it came out sizzling, full of flavour, and left us completely impressed. The Maharaja curry was another standout, offering a rich and unique taste unlike anything we've ever tried before. It had the perfect balance of spices... And the naan? Prebooked for my friends birthday, no welcoming on arrival, not allowed to sit in the main restaurant area. Meal of Steak, chips and side salad was awful, and instead of peppercorn sauce (which is what I ordered) I was given what seemed to be Red wine gravy or something. I told the person that asked if everything was ok but she didn't seem to care at all. Our desert of Sticky toffee pudding was burnt. We were not made to feel welcome at all. We really wanted to see the Sea Shanty group that we saw advertised that Monday evening, but we were shunted to eat at the front of the pub seemingly because we weren't regulars.

My colleagues, friends and I always love to go to this restaurant to celebrate birthdays and special occassion. They have good food, however we will not come back again for the CUSTOMER SERVICE that we had. It was my leaving do. I reserved a table and made a deposit for 12 people (£10/person), unfortunately 8 people only arrived as people were sick (we are all nurses from the hospital). Even though we consumed food that was good for 12 people and the restaurant was not as full on that night, they charged us £40 for the people who did not come in and said that it was for the reservation. My colleagues spoke to the manager, who was resistant and argumentative, saying that the deposit cannot be refunded or used for people who did not attend. Hence, they will be keeping it. It was quite a long discussion until one of my senior colleagues spoke to him, and gave back our deposit. The waitresses were rude and not understanding either, after the discussion happened they did not stop badgering me about the deposit. One waitress apologised to her friend’s friend, who is one of my colleagues, however she did not stop talking and staring until I left. I had a wonderful and memorable dinner with my colleagues, however it ended up badly on how we got treated on this restaurant when a problem arised.

Visited today and had a lovely meal. I had a full rack of ribs and they were the best I’ve ever had. My wife had the pulled pork and she said the same thing and said the meat was lovely with no fatty bits you usually get. Staff were very friendly and we loved the light system for service. See you again soon.

Good food with moderate portions so nothing was wasted. A great place for a meal out in walking distance from the town centre

Fabulous Sunday lunch- we hadn’t booked but we’re found a dog friendly table. Water immediately offered for us and her. The fish & risotto was perfectly cooked & flavoured, the pork chop & belly delicious in every way. Treacle tart was not heavy and the crème brûlée had a satisfying crack and was easily finished!

Ideal restaurant for families or to have a work lunch. Food Is fresh and tasty. Beers are in bottles. Prices are high compated with similar restaurant.

Freya was very attentive and provided great service to our bottomless brunch, will definitely be booking again!
