A warm welcome awaits you at the Manor Inn.
My husband and I stayed here for two nights with our two dogs. Kathleen, Mick and their team were so lovely and our room was plenty big enough for the four of us. Some lovely little touches were included, bed was comfortable and the shower was hot with good pressure.
We arrived on the Sunday in time for Sunday Lunch, which was delicious. Nothing was to much trouble… we struggled to chose between the roast or a steak, as they are renowned for them, and were offered a compromise in that we could have a steak with all the roast trimmings… perfect! Good roasties, beautifully cooked veg, plenty of gravy and all served on a hot plate! Puddings were good too.
We were advised where we could walk the dogs, choosing to head up to Brubber hill where the views didn’t disappoint and it’s part of the Wolds Way… the pub sits at the halfway point so a perfect resting place for those walking.
On the Monday we drove out to nearby Bridlington beach, which is dog friendly, and enjoyed a good walk in the sunshine. Highly recommend a visit.

Me and my family on day trip to sheerness we struggled to find good food around. Then we came cross THE WALNUT TREE bar and restaurant. Hidden in village beauty. Best lamb shank I have ever tasted great atmosphere indoors and outdoor also little chicken coop. Hen was really interesting in people around. Best day
Not just the best paninis in the area, but perhaps the best paninis anywhere. High praise you may say but they really are great. Also easy to drop into normally spots outside to just pull up.
Quick one can you bring back the meatball, my daughter is missing it.
We didn't eat here, but the most lovely girl opened the seating area for us to sit in while hiding from the rain and eating our bacon rolls. I'll definitely be back for the food soon as it smelt amazing, it was a shame we were in the area a bit to early. Thank you again to that girl. You're an angel
My wife and I visited with two other couples after a riverside walk, initially for a drink and then we ordered food.
The bar is quite small but recently and well renovated, and with a welcoming vibe from staff and regulars alike.
Food is very reasonably priced, and was well received: two steak pies were tasty, but could have been improved if served with more gravy; three fish and chips were also tasty, but irregularly cooked; the veg tart was delicious. Apple crumble desserts were really enjoyed and appreciated.
We threw my mums surprise 60th birthday party at the Oddfellows Arms. Jamie made it so easy and stress free to arrange and the bar staff were amazing the whole night. It’s such a great venue. Thanks Jamie and team!
Nice part of Spital, and privately quiet in old Aberdeen, it has an upstairs bar for privacy too, nice old school royal green surgical 💚 leather seating against the walls too.
