THE CAFFEINE DRIP
City Centre, Edinburgh, City of
03/09/2018: The best coffee in town! Fabulous place with African menu. Great atmosphere, staff, food, coffee and music. We can’t fault this place. Top marks!
04/03/2018: I visited The Caffeine Drip South African café for breakfast with my brother during my holiday to Edinburgh. We had the French toast with banana and tomatoes, which tasted lovely.

C & W's African Experience
Westgate, Gloucester, 20-30£
12/12/2018: Website doesn’t work and can’t make a booking. This was once a fantastic place to enjoy good food so not sure how the rating is so high. Some of the reviewers also seem remarkably well traveled
09/06/2018: Although the food is packed full of flavour and is authentic it is also greasy and a bit fatty. It doesn’t feel like a restaurant more like a family get together. When I went it didn’t have a license to sell alcohol and the lights were too bright. Not sure about some of the reviews as most seem to spend their life traveling the globe.

Corarima

15/02/2024: Amazing atmosphere, service and most of all food. Phenomenal flavours!!! Corarima food was so full of flavour and not too spicy (I am a wimp with hot spicy food).
Would definitely recommend and would definitely come back.
14/01/2024: Fantastic food and wonderful attentive service. We will definitely be returning. Really can’t rate this highly enough.

Africfood
Market, Cambridge
27/10/2019: We travelled to Cambridge and my young son was extremely keen to try Africfood given the reviews. What a terrible experience. For £7.50 you get one piece of goat ' meat' ( bone surrounded by a minuscule amount of meat) with a lot of rice. He was extremely disappointed and I was kind of furious. This is really a bit of a scam. In a market with lots of amazing food stalls, why would anyone spend their money here for a ridiculous amount of goat curry.
20/10/2019: Only one piece of goat meat was in my container. This piece had hardly any meat on it, and was mostly just bone and gristle. At £7.50; what an absolute rip off.

Lula's Ethiopian and Eritrean Cuisine
Carfax, Oxford
22/02/2024: Small portions, expensive for what you get and although made by Ethiopian's, it's a western slant on the food. Bit disappointed.
20/02/2024: Lula's in Oxford is a flavorful journey to East Africa. The aromatic spices and authentic Ethiopian dishes create a delightful culinary experience. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff enhance the charm. While the menu is fantastic, a tad more variety would be welcomed. Overall, a solid four stars for an exotic dining adventure.

Nkono
Halliwell, Bolton
13/01/2024: The food from here is amazing.
I am currently working in Bolton and was told to try this place. I am glad I did, it’s that good I took my work mates the day after and everyone was made up.
Also very friendly service.
07/12/2023: I am heartbroken because I don't live in Bolton because I would be eating here all the time. Oxtail stew and jollof rice was bursting with flavour and honestly one of the nicest things I've ever eaten. Taste explosion 😁

Shamrock Restaurant
Nechells, Birmingham
30/10/2020: Absolutely loved my experience at this restaurant. The food always hits the spot and the staff are very attentive and so so friendly. I am vegan and there are lots of great options for me to try. I had the vegetarian platter and asked about having yellow lentils, they kindly whipped some up for me on request. I will definitely be coming back here more often.
12/09/2020: We've been there twice in the last month. The first time thanks to #eatouttohelpout and the second time in September.
Both times everything has been perfect. All delicious and the staff were lovely. Totally worth the visit.

The service was great! Staff attentive & smiley.
Highly recommend :)
07/08/2021: We attended a wedding reception here. The surroundings, the ambience, the restaurant feel, the live music, the food and finally, the staff were all amazing. Aidan is an amazing chef, Harry and Alex and Holly the photographer made us all welcome. A place that we would certainly recommend.

Abyssinia Kitchen
Heswall, Wirral
29/01/2021: Amazing food, our kids especially love the lentils!! The food is beautiful, full of flavour. The Injera, Doro Wot and Miser Wot are probably our favourites, but everything we have tried has been delicious.
Delivery was on time and food hot.
Thank you.
11/01/2021: We have eaten in the restaurant previously and loved it! Ordered from the takeaway menu this weekend and it was equally delicious :) The injera is our favourite and we were given plenty of it, as a vegan there is plenty of options to choose from and we will be ordering again for sure!

26/04/2019: This is the 4th time I have visited. I always have the vegetarian platter followed by coffee. The chef roasts the beans herself while you are eating. Wonderful variety of tastes. Well worth the visit!!
22/12/2018: This was the first time we had visited this restaurant and we all agreed that this restaurant was a delight to eat in. The food was extremely tasty with a lovely host and authentic flavours from Ethiopia. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a enjoyable atmosphere and delicious food to match.

Cafe Olive
De Beauvoir, Hackney
14/01/2016: Dropped in here for a bite to eat on the way to a business meeting. The staff were helpful, friendly and attentive and the food was good - hot sandwiches just what we needed as our winter finally starts to show its face. Couldn't have asked for more.
20/07/2015: We'd passed this place a few times and read good reviews. So first we stopped for coffee (always a measure of how good a place will be) and made friends with the little dog. The coffee was excellent, so we booked dinner. The food was tasty, home made, middle eastern cooking, served from a short but sufficient menu that included two veggie dishes. There were good non veggie options and my Persian chicken was delicious. The meal was three courses and included a lovely salad and pancakes and all for around £15 a head, served with warmth and friendliness in an intimate setting. A fabulous find. We'll be going back.

Acacus
Marylebone High Street, City of London,Westminster
04/02/2024: Amazing Libyan food and staff lovely. Have to come. Authentic and flavoursome with great service. Recommend to everyone.
14/09/2023: Great service, not the prettiest of plates but MY GOD the lamb was fall off the bone, the full colours did not translate to dull flavours, tender, wonderfully spiced - do NOT understand why this place is quiet everytime I walk past it…. A gem
