Zoilo in City of London, Westminster

My goodness , what a real treat and an absolute find. This is simply a beautiful restaurant from start to finish. I booked for a business meal and had a colleague over from Australia who knew ‘her steak’ to I wanted something that would not disappoint. The restaurant feels discreet and chic. It is dark and moody inside yet. It feels warm, intimate and classy. From the beginning to the end, the service was excellent and attentive but not intrusive. Marianna our server and Marco the team leader, were excellent. The food was exceptional, fresh and vibrant. The wine list is excellent and yet really accessible- lots of wines around £40/50 a bottle, something of a rarity in London these days. I walked away with 3 very happy and content guests who were thoroughly impressed and felt looked after . I really will be back and there was nothing I would change. I hope Zoilo does well - London needs more independent restaurants and this is up there amongst the best.

Well, this place is proper decent. The meat was lovely, the sides immense and the staff friendly and knowledgeable. Thoroughly enjoyable experience

Our dinner here was a memorable experience from the moment we entered. The venue offers a wonderfully intimate upmarket brassiere vibe and its polished staff deliver consistently warm and impeccable service. The menu is limited but exceptional in quality. Three of us dined here for dinner. Two had steak cooked to perfection while a third cooked to the same temperature was a fraction too firm. The broccoli side was an excellent addition and we can’t praise the truffle béarnaise sauce highly enough. The impressive wine list was filled with a curated collection of memorable South American wines. A velvety 2018 Matias Riccitelli Old Vines Merlot we selected went perfectly with our meal. The only disappointing aspect all evening was the music volume. At times our table struggled to been heard over the music. It was a real shame given the venue’s wonderfully romantic ambiance.

Set lunch with a friend. Mushroom soup was very tasty, followed by a 200g rib eye. Lovely bottle of Cabernet Franc.

I think this cozy restaurant is a hidden gem in the city center. It gives you nice vibes and good food, that is ultimately what you are looking for, right? The menu is mainly meat based with some vegetarian options. I loved the sweetbread! I tried the agnolotti and, as Italian, I can tell they were delicious. Lovely the petit fours at the end of the meal.

By far the best restaurant we are at in London. From start to finish .. it was excellent. Service was impeccable. Great!!

This place never fails to impress me! I’ve been here quite a few times and the food is excellent , the service very good and the ambience is perfect - always busy but not too loud so conversation is easy.

Mal wieder im Zoilo hatten wir Glück einen Tisch bekommen zu haben. Wir hatten alle! Vorspeisen, eine besser als die andere, und verschiedenstes Fleisch als Hauptspeise. Wie auch die Weine war alles vorzüglich und preislich absolut angemessen. Immer wieder zu empfehlen.

Feels like a local gem yet just down from Selfridges and busy Oxford Street . We had the fixed price lunch menu (£24.95) , which was exceptional value for the quality of food . Lovely wine list too, with some relatively inexpensive Argentinian options, and great service . This was our second visit and been fabulous both times .

Visited Zoilo Saturday. I tried their prix fixed menu. The empanada was excellent. They usually fry it, but I requested oven made since I do not like fried food. Next I had the beef and bone marrow burger. Delicious. Cooked to perfection. Medium rear. Lastly for dessert I had their banana and dulce de leche ice cream with chocolate chips. Magnificent. They have a very complete selection of the best wines from Argentina. Excellent location. Very convenient. The service was outstanding. The manager was very professional and attentive. Great flexibility responding to my requests. High class service indeed. It is truly a pleasure to taste gourmet Argentine cuisine made by Argentines.

Hidden gem at the little corner of London. We love every bite of our meal from ceviche starter to main course Ribeye and sirloin steak and ended our night with the best crème brûlée. Highly recommended to stop by for a drink enjoy supper club ambience and for sure add this restaurant to your list for lunch or dinner no regret.

This place is simply wonderful. Some of the best quality (and best cooked) steaks I have ever had in London. Impeccable service as well. By far the best sweetbreads / risk de veau I have ever had in London. And family also delighted with the sea bass. This is a true restaurant. Thank you to all the staff at Zoilo. Friendly welcome and good SD. Lovely Winter Warmer cocktails to start. Starter of crab on toast and a selection of homemade baked bread delivered a fabulous start to our meal. For mains we ordered ribeye and Asado flank which is where it all fell apart. Both cuts of meat were cooked well but lacked any beefy flavour. Sides of chips and broccoli where delicious and wine we chose was good. A let down on the meat. Our expectations for Argentinian beef are high but this was a huge let down. Our waiter on paying had no interest in our feedback, sounded quite bored. Also, earlier on my partner did query leaving as she watched one of the chefs prepping food, progressing to put some in his mouth, continue to prep, wipe his nose and continue to prep, all without washing his hands. Perhaps at this point we should have left before having starters and mains?? We will not be returning, an expensive experience at £160 for two.

We were there for an easy lunch and we absolutely loved it. Great food, nice atmosphere, professional staff and great prices for the food you get.

Acabo de leer una reseña reciente (menos que amable) sobre este restaurante que me destacó la importancia de compartir experiencias positivas para contrarrestar cualquier negativa. Especialmente durante un momento tan difícil para la industria de la restauración. Así que quería compartir mi experiencia (previa al covid) de encontrarme con este increíble lugar para comer algo espontáneamente con un amigo en el bar, dar una fiesta en su comedor privado (de nuevo antes del covid) y frecuentarlo con amigos la esperanza de que se enamoraran del lugar tanto como yo. El interior, la mesa, la comida, el servicio era perfecto. El chef cumplió con los requisitos dietéticos y realmente no me puedo quejar de la comida, el vino y los cócteles. Habiendo vivido y comido en Londres toda mi vida, esta es una verdadera joya y espero volver pronto.

Me enteré de este restaurante en Londres y lo reservé para cenar con amigos, ya que no encuentro ningún restaurante argentino realmente bueno para que mis amigos conozcan la cocina de mi país. El lugar es realmente lindo y acogedor, el servicio profesional y la comida buena, pero para ser honesto, lo único típico argentino que encontré allí fue la carta de vinos, algunas fotos en la pared de bailarines de tango y mi propia imagen reflejada en el espejo cuando fui a los baños.No me malinterpreten, la comida era buena y algunos platos eran deliciosos en sabor y presentación, pero no comida argentina en absoluto. El lugar puede ser en cualquier parte y en ninguna parte, la música tampoco ayudó (ni tango fusión, milongas ni folclore, solo otro estilo jazzístico de Spotify). Al salir del lugar les comenté a mis amigos, linda pero no memorable velada y al fin y al cabo, no porque venda un bife y dulce de leche va a ser comida argentina. Que se le va a hacer. . .

Excellente adresse au service impeccable ! Les conseils sont vraiment excellents, les plats délicieux et copieux (le Rib eye steak etait parfait pour nous deux), les vins top et servis au verre. Le tout avec une musique d’ambiance discrète mais composée exclusivement de standards et de pépites jazz / blues de connaisseurs !Ne peut que recommander très chaudement.

Buena comida, pero un poco caro, personal agradable y excelente servicio. La razón por la que no volvería es porque era demasiado ruidoso. Podemos manejar algo de ruido y en muchos restaurantes, es un caso, pero aquí no nos entendemos porque la acústica es muy mala.

We were going to to Wagamama.... and then we saw Zoilo and the lovely set lunch menu!We'd been to the Wallace Collection and planned to have lunch prior to collecting our luggage at the hotel and taking the HEX to LHR for our flight home. It didn't take much for our minds to be changed and in we went to have a wonderful, relaxing, thoughtful lunch at Zoilo.Perfect service, wonderful atmosphere, well thought menu and food which was obviously prepared with care and thoughtfulness and was full of flavours. Delicious. So we lingered a little longer than we should and had to run for our train..... so worth it!

We visited Zoilio at 8.45 pm on a Sat night. There were four empty tables but we were still told the restaurant was fully booked. We came out and checked in OpenTable to find that a table was availabe for 9 pm. Inexperienced staff clearly do not know how to handle bookings on a busy evening. Nothing worst than stumbling into a robot repeating "we are fullybooked" when tables are clearly available and OpenTable proves the oposite too.We used to love this place and we were regular clients. We were always accommodated in the bar or told to wait s few minutes to get a table by reasonable staff knowing how to run a restaurant. Sadly we'll not come back Zoilo snd come to visit other Argentineans in London where we feel more welcome and are run by experienced staff

We went here to celebrate our engagement. So glad we did. Beautiful food, wine and setting. The staff were so pleasant and very eager to please.

I have eaten at this gem of an Argentinian restaurant at lunch and at dinner on tables, in the downstairs private dining room with a party of 9 and on the counter top and every time the service and food have been outstanding. Since my last visit the long bar has been reduced by half and the rear area now has more tables which is a significant improvement.Started with fabulous Veal Sweetbreads (£14.80) and guests with Crab on Toast (£12.90) which they rated highly for flavour and freshness. I had the popular Asado of beef flank (£24.90) medium rare with delicious chimichurri sauce and superb chips provencal (£4.90). These were large, soft in the middle but wonderfully crisp on the outside. Of course like 90% of diners, the first chip was taken in my fingers to trial. Just perfection. Guests opted for the Ancho de Bife 400gms (Ribeye at £32.90) again medium rare and again cooked to perfection. Superb flavour of well hung meat from the Pampas contrasted with my bland steak at an English steakhouse earlier in the week. A glass of house Malbec (£11.00) was fruity and not too heavy for a lunchtime.Strongly recommended as an antidote to the many steakhouse chains littering the London streets. Que aproveche.

We took time out whilst our son was away for a treat meal. Easy to book, friendly service and a great ambience. Food beautifully cooked. I had the set lunch whilst my husband had a starter and main. Starters were faultless: he had the beetroot and mozzarella and I had beef carpaccio- which was so good I wanted to lick the plate! An excellent carafe to accompany our mains and a good cheese to wrap the meal up . Delicious

Fantastic date night dinner here. We were seated right near the window - not many of these seats, but would highly recommend them. Great atmosphere and service. Ordered the lamb sweetbreads (to share), rib eye (a must!!), chips and broccoli. Only thing we'd do differently next time is get a lamb sweetbreads each - they were out of this world. Wine we shared a bottle of red that our excellent waiter recommend - mixture of Malbec, Cab Sauv, and Cab Franc. Would be back here in a flash. Thanks for an incredible night, team ZOILO!!

We were a group of 5 coming for a relatively late dinner on a Wednesday night and we had a great time! Despite us being quite loud, the staff were very patient and enthusiastic and the food was excellent - not exactly traditional Argentinian fare (much to the annoyance of our Argentinian friends) but a tasty modern London twist on it.

A relatively small, informal restaurant serving Argentine food and wine. Service was good and the menu was small but varied. Baked provolone cheese was a great starter and between us we tried both steak options. The Flank Steak was small but very tasty, the Rib Eye was was good (but not Gaucho standard). Tried a beautiful Argentine Chardonnay and an average Malbec. Highlight was the recommended pudding - Creme Brûlée - it was superb!

Algo inaceptable para un trozo que vale 32 pounds. El acompañamiento, 6 pounds extras, algo que llamaban “King” Mushrooms pero eran tres slices mínusculos de cetas que parecían goma de mascar. No es algo para acompañar un buen bistec, reclamé que era incomible (no me los comí de hecho) pero no les importó. El vino fue una copa Malbec Las Piedras muy bueno. Mi marido un ceviche liviano y sin tanto limón (se agradece). Lo mejor de todo la panera que traía entre su selección de panes una joya: pan de queso, tradicional de Brasil, el mejor que me he comido nunca. No dejen de pedirlo. Pedí también chimichurri, que es algo que me gusta mucho de la comida argentina, pero nos trajeron un pocillo lleno de aceite, una decepción. Extraño lugar. Puntos muy altos y muy bajos al mismo tiempo.

Nice Little Restaurant in Westminster with an absolute perfect cooked beef! Very attentive waiters. A very good argentine wine with a chateaubriand roasted to the desired and Perfect point. The Price for the food was absolutely justified- will come again for sure!

Just had to come back to this restaurant after a four year absence. We had been in Buenos Aires recently, in the Palermo district, and ate at their best asadores , none are as good as this place. Sweatbreads with burnt orange, fabulous, then a sea bass ceviche which with an intense lemon flavour was truly superb. Great meat as you would expect. Really enjoyed our meal here. Small and very atmospheric restaurant just behind selfridges. Great attentive but not intrusive service and well priced Argentinian steaks to die for. Very authentic Argentinian dining experience.

Excellent dinner here with family on a weekday eveing. Luckily we booked because the restaurant was just about full. They were very busy and it took awhile before our order was taken, but no complaints from there on. Food was outstanding. We started with the empanadas - they were so good we should have had two each. For main course we had the asado and a sirloin steak.with provenzal fries. Wonderful. Will return to try the desert.

Very good service. I’ve tried the chorizo steak and it was really well done, just like I love it, rare and without blood. I hadn’t the opportunity to taste anything else as I was dining alone, but it’s a place to come back for sure.

Friendly service and great food. My only comment is they could order the menu better. There is no traditional division between starters and mains. Might be better to have a small plate starter menu to allow people to sample more and then have a mix of mains from the grill etc for mains. Steak was amazing

Went yesterday for dinner with a friend! Fantastic appetizers (empanadas & provoleta), outstanding service (they even moved us the two of us to a 4-person table to give us some more space) and the rib eye was FANTASTIC!!! Unfortunately, we did not have any more room to try out the desserts but that's for next time! Already looking forward to that!! TWO THUMBS UP!!!

Small, attractive, Argentinian Restaurant close to Oxford Street. Good atmosphere and friendly and efficient waiters.

We were catching up with friends and wanted a lunch spot in Mayfair, close to work that would be relaxed, quiet enough to talk while offering good food and great value.

This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience! The food was tremendous, we had empanadas and iberico croquettes as a starter, the Asado as main course and chocolate mousse and creme brulee as dessert. The complete experience at Zoilo: great food, excellent wines and a super friendly team of waiters, made this evening for my wife and me an exceptional gastronomic experience. When in London, make a reservation and enjoy this restaurant, not cheap but worth every penny you pay. Many thanks to the waiters and kitchen team of Zoilo.

Honestly one of the best dinners I’ve had in London - every dish was delicious, the service was lovely, and they had a unique Argentinian wine list as well. I fully recommend this place!

My friends and I booked a table at the bar just for enjoyed some cocktail (the bartender Nino was superb! Polite, kind and always looked after us) we started with a rivisited Martini.. after that we chooses to have a look at the food menu and under suggestions of Nino we ordered croquettes with iberico ham and provoletta cheese ..no words for describe it!

We really enjoyed our meal at Zoilo. We started with empanadas which were very testy - one each is enough as a starter. the main course steaks were excellent we tried both the sirloin and the rib-eye both were very tasty and tender - wonderful fries as well.

fantastic! came for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. great location - just off Oxford Street and the crowds. Close to Marylebone if you wanna go for a stroll to Lisson Gallery or Alfie's antiques market. Starters were perfect - the baked provolone cheese with almonds and honey was one of the best dishes I've had in a while. Stunning. Well thought out portion sizes and friendly staff. Will come back for sure - set lunch looked great.

Came here mainly for the beef & bone marrow burger as it was highly recommended. Unfortunately I found it to be average. The burger is smaller than a usual burger and it lacked taste despite all the ingredients. The fries were also tasteless. The desserts were good.

This is an off-the-beaten track, cosy Argentine restaurant just north of some of the busiest London streets (Oxford Street...). Warm and welcoming with attractively simple and classic decor.

Brilliant menu, brilliant staff, brilliant atmosphere, you definitely get what you pay for here. We were four with one celiac and one dairy-free and the manager took the time to go over the menu with each of them. The food was declicious, and the wine was excellent. Will be visiting again as soon as I can.

El menú fijo cambia a menudo, pero siempre es excelente (y nunca me he sentido con poco cambio o hambre después de dos cursos). Es acogedor e íntimo para un grupo pequeño, pero ideal para grupos más grandes (la habitación privada es una joya escondida en la planta baja, frente a la cocina). Bravo Roberto y su equipo!
