Crispy prosciutto carbonara was amazing! Ella was so helpful with suggestions for food and drinks!

I don't normally write reviews that are negative but I felt I wanted to write this review as I had a disappointing VERY expensive meal at Zizzi Dorchester. It was my daughter's birthday, we had a voucher from buy a gift to redeem against our meal. The atmosphere was lovely and most of the staff were lovely and helpful. We had just a main which I have to say came out very quickly which was great. Food very nice. 4 meals & 4 drinks £85. The price of food here has shot up. The average price for a main meal was £15/16. Drinks were around £6-£9 each! 🤦 We had no complimentary dishes on the table and could see everyone else did. We didn't ask as we were not that bothered. What bothered me was the male server who came up to us and asked if we would like a dessert, to which we said no thank you. He then replied, no problem, I will get your bill as I need your table back in less than 10 minutes. 😮😮😮😮🤦 We had been at the table for 55 minutes. I feel that we have been shoved off our table at the quickest possible moment. I've worked and run restaurants in my life and totally understand the need for turnover but this guy was rude. Will I eat there again.......no.

We went here to celebrate a birthday and it was amazing as always. The service from Ella was second to none. Very polite and attentive, she even went the extra mile by starting a rendition of happy birthday. The food was perfect, clean plates all round. Lovely atmosphere.

Very busy so had to wait outside for 15 minutes, service quite slow.

Weekday evening dinner out turned fantastic due to the amazing service from Adam! He was looking after our every need and nothing was too much trouble. The only downside, there was no obvious way to tip! Zizzi claims it's cashless but then tips can't be added retrospectively so sadly he wasn't rewarded. To the on owners of zizzi, please change this so your fantastic staff can be rewarded properly!

Amazing food and amazing service

Nice food but let down by abysmal service every time we have been here. This time and the last time we visited, our booked table was not ready on time. They apologised but after that, rushed us to order and then spent so long at the end to bring a bill, that we almost left out of sheer boredom. Over 30 mins to bring a bill?! Avoid.

We had a lovely set menu and everything was perfect. Special thanks to Adam whose service was fantastic!

Food absolutely delicious and very generous portions. Extremely friendly staff. There is only one minus regarding zillioners coupons as it doesn't really go well when you go with few friends and all of you got any coupons. I was a bit surprised there was no possibility to split the check so everyone could accordingly use their coupons. Anyway would strongly recommend this place.

Visited on a weekday at lunchtime, so it wasn't too busy. Chose the three course festive menu, which was good value for money. The food was very tasty and the service prompt. The restaurant has nice decor and a pleasant atmosphere. Our waiter, George, was friendly and efficient.

Very stressed young waiter. He didn’t bring us the usual crisps to nibble. I asked for a jug of water. We were given 1 glass to share. Not 2 glasses and a jug. We did already have wine !! After we had finished our main. He came and took away our plates and did not ask us if we would like to see the dessert menu or even ask if everything was okay with our meal. He just walked off. !! Better service at a roadside cafe 😂. This young waiter let you down Zizzi. Not what we are used too at your restaurant

Ordered takeaway. The good: honeycombe vegan fudge cake... amazing! Chips.. awesome. The bad: the pizza... the vegan garden pizza didn't resemble the pictures on menu... nothing much on top just a few aubergines .. the pizza was so thin and overcooked it was more like a poppadom. Sorry guys but the vegan cheese is horrible... like a thin cheese sauce with no taste. There are loads of amazing vegan cheese out there but not that,!

We had a lovely dinner here. Service was quite fast and we sat outside which was lovely and a pretty view over the square. Food was okay - the pasta wasn’t very flavourful and the pizzas were slightly cold but other than that it was a lovely evening.

Cold and undercooked food which arrived within 5 minutes of ordering. Waiters seemed uninterested when we complained.

They have done it again! The food was great and the staff both friendly and helpful 😃. I know Zizzi is a chain but it's still worth going to.

Looks quite classy and well presented but actually supermarket grade, low flavour ingredients and no class. Very expensive for small portions. Bad service. If you want a good dining experience, go elsewhere.

This is my third disappointing visit to a Zizzi in a row. I don't know why Zizzi removed so many veggie and vegan options from the menu, it's so backwards. As there was very little choice for me, I ended up having the bruschetta (as always), then had to make my own pizza - vegan margarita with chillies and meatless meatballs. It was ok. The bruschetta portion was smaller than normal, and when I asked for balsamic vinegar for the table, I was given one small pot of it, so had to ask again. They used to bring a bottle of balsamic and a bottle of chilli oil to the table. Zizzi are obviously cutting back to save their overheads. In terms of service, it wasn't particularly busy yet our service was quite slow. I had to ask for water for the table twice as our waiter seemed to forget the first time and as mentioned, the balsamic vinegar was annoying. My partner had ordered mushrooms for his pizza which never appeared and there were no pasta crisps for the table when we were seated. We spent over £200 (there were 8 of us), so it's not a small amount to spend on an evening out. Zizzi used to be our preferred restaurant as there was a lot of choice, but I think we'll find somewhere new now.

Superb service from start to finish. Food was really good, but the key was lovely service. Attentive without being intrusive. My son with ASC was happy, even given the echoey, busy nature of the room. Very happy and I will be back.

Had a big group come for dinner at Zizzi Dorchester this evening and the service was amazing! Super efficient and understanding. My mum wasn’t so keen on her meal and they immediately changed it for her! The waitress that helped was so so lovely and accommodated to us! She’s is a super start! Very greatful! The food was also very yummy!

Awful, this was for a takeaway, but leaving review as the issue was all with the food! The 'special' pasta was definitely microwaved as it was completely Rock hard and all stuck in clumps, also had mould in places 🤢🤢 the pizza was also so underdone and tiny compared to what we normally have... not worth it, we will never be going back that's for sure! I don't normally do reviews, but this was so BAD!

Visited last night for my husband and I's wedding anniversary meal. Great food, attentive staff, genderless toilets in separate booths (more places need to do this!), brilliant all round. We unwittingly entered the building from the exit (up the steps), so we were told to go to the queue at the entrance (which meant we had to go outside and re-enter!), which all felt very disjointed, but once we were seated everything was excellent. Unfortunately we didn't catch the name of the lady who served us but she was very friendly and chatty - thanks for a great meal!

Great easy eating experience, good atmosphere and service.

Stopped in for lunch on a very wet Friday afternoon. Not many people eating but service was excellent, fixing three issues with our dishes very promptly and adjusting an item to be alcohol free with no fuss. Child's 3 course menu was particularly good value at £7.95.

Had a lovely meal at Zizzi Dorchester last week. Food was really nice, atmosphere was good (I was surprised to see so many people there on a Sunday). Our server/waitress was so helpful and was on the go all the time, nothing seemed to be too much trouble for her with customers. We ate indoors and I found the restaurant to have good wheelchair access. Would recommend.

Expensive for what is is. King prawn pasta - two prawns 😪. Lack of topping. Didn't like the service charge, think it should be discretionary not just added on. 😡

Had to wait ages to be seated but there were only a few staff on and were based at the other end of the restaurant, there are two entrances. Food was very nice, allergies were enquired about. Busy and noisy.

Popped in after watching a film, and although they were busy they found us a table. We've been to this Zizzi quite a few times and it's always been great.

Said it would deliver, waited 20/30 minutes and then said it was unable to take my delivery.

Rarely like chains, but decided to use up Tesco vouchers. Pleasantly surprised. Enjoyable food and great staff.

My partner and I dined on Sunday evening 25/06/23 and did not have the best experience. Upon entering we were told that the only avalible tables were outside as the front of the restaurant (which was completely empty) was 'closed'. In fairness we had not booked a table, but would have like the option to sit inside. We ordered the calamari to start which was very nice. For main course I ordered the truffle salami rustica pizza which came without the crispy sage, and my partner ordered spaghetti bolognese, and was not offered any grated cheese. We called the waitress aside and asked for some cheese, but she never came back. We decided just to eat while the food was hot. The bolognese was pretty bland without the cheese, and the sage on the rustica makes it so much better - if you've had it you know.

Staff were patient, helpful and kind and that was just sorting out my phone to obtain a membership number. My wife and I had a brilliant lunch today and couldn’t have asked for anything more. Thanks to all staff especially the poor souls who helped me sort my phone out. Good news guys I have now managed to load my Zizzi club card into my wallet .

Great food and lovely place to sit outside where apparently no smoking is allowed. However although the staff are friendly the service is very slow.

It didn't meet my expectations. Nothing special. What I enjoyed most is a nice view from terrace.

Well this is a nice spot, restaurant and the staff are friendly. I enjoyed my Spaghetti Bolognese. Floor plan is friendly spaced out, but loos are nice and they are clean. A quick shout to Dean(thanx),and the young lady and the chef at the time of my visit. 😊

Last night we went to Zizzi for a surprise Anniversary meal. We waited outside to be seated, eventually after 15mins we were shown to our table. Drinks and food order was taken. On two occasions we were brought garlic bread which I stated had not been ordered. Basically when it was returned we overheard the waitress saying that we no longer wanted it so placing the blame on us. The staff and chef were having arguments between themselves which could be seen and heard, not very professional. Our food was bought to us but no cutlery or drinks arrived so this had to be asked for. The food was disappointing and not very hot. Advise to check your bill as we were charged for the garlic bread which I queried, the waitress admitted it was her mistake and would try and get it removed. This was such a disappointing evening as it was a special meal for two couples celebrating their anniversaries. Toilets need a good clean also, floor covered in toilet roll is not very good ..

Been to Zizzi on a few different occasions. Always nice food, and prices you expect from a high street restaurant. Staff in Dorchester are often friendly and helpful. Had different experiences of wait time, and service, which is most likely down to time of day. Recommend for those who love Italian food.

Dissapointed. The restaurant was nearly empty but we didn't make a reservation as it was Tuesday night but apparently they had no tables. Fortunately the lovely staff in pizza express had a table for us and we had a fantastic meal. We, walked passed zizzi on the way back to our hotel and it was still empty so they missed out on 2 meals a about £100 Not sure why the didn't want customers only they will no the answer.

Our food was terrific, and our waitress was so nice.

Ordered a collect for 19.45... food was luke warm, pizza + chips were soggy. I'm sure it wouldn't have been as bad had our pizzas been sliced and we could have eaten them on the way home. Very disappointed considering the cost.

Visited on Good Friday for 2 adults and 2 children, food options were the same as when we visited a year ago which was a little disappointing. For although slightly overpriced was tasty amd the service was excellent. 3 star review was down to the toilets being disgusting, I would sort of expect this condition from a seaside council toilet not a restaurant charging £20 per person. I mentioned the condition to a member of staff who commented that they always seem to be that way even when they are being checked! and other reviews also.menrion this.

Great location and super friendly staff. Food quality was good and the dinning experience was also good. The restaurant has had a recent refresh and looks good. The toilets let this restaurant down, they weren't very clean and really messy. Clealrly missed the refurb from the main areas. The staff made the evening enjoyable though.

The restaurant is nice, the atmosphere is lovely and the staff too…the food not so much.I had a non alcoholic cocktail which was not more than juice with soda and a mint leaf….very plain, very disappointing.For dinner chicken Milanese.The fries were delicious fresh and crispy but the chicken was very greasy, the carrots had no taste and the spinach was anything but fresh.I would only recommend their pizza.

Oh my what a tasty selection of delicious food. We had pizza and pasta and shared. Sign up for the rewards - we got a free garlic bread too - which was the best I've had... Mmmm and the chilli oil!!

Good quality of food and good service but everything I suppose comes with a price... and it was a bit pricey.

We visited here Saturday night for dinner, we phoned ahead and booked a table with plety of time however on arrival there was another party who had also booked who were waiting also, we had to stand awkwardly in the doorway while a table became available, I'm not sure what the point in booking is if they're not able to ensure a table is free at the agreed time. Once there was space we were seated in a very traffic heavy area which meant we were a little on edge throughout the whole meal, having people constantly walking around you whilst eating isn't ideal. The food however was good, the service was really great, the (I think the head) waitress was really knowledgable about the food and informative, her service made things a lot better, the price was a little high, dinner for two and two drinks came to £70, we left feeling satisfied and would most likely return but probably a week day evening or lunchtime to avoid the busy time. Our second visit was during lunchtime on a Friday, it was a mostly empty restaurant and the guy who greeted us and took our drinks order was very friendly and helpful, food was delivered very quickly and was very hot and fresh. I guess there was a shift change during this time as a female staff member took over, we were the only customers at this point and yet she was very abrupt and quite frankly unpleasant. We ordered deserts with her and asked for the bill, she had very little in way of customer service and tried to over charge us for two items. She also loudly berated the chef in front of us which was uncomfortable. The whole experience wasn't bad but we left with a bad taste in our mouths after dealing with her, I can tell she's put on the quiet day shift for a reason.

Always excellent food and service when we go for a meal here. Love this restaurant!

The food was over flavored. Trying too hard. Risotto was undercooked and pizza was exceptionally greasy.
