Zizzi - Camberley in Surrey Heath

We had a great evening out with friends for dinner at Zizzi. The food was all fresh and came in good time, the staff were very friendly and it was all clean. The only mishap we encountered was a problem with one of our orders - the wrong button was pushed on the electronic ordering system, so one of us had to wait a little while to have a main cooked again. To their credit, it was fresh and hot from the kitchen, and all our food was nice, but we didn't all get served at quite the same time. The servers were apologetic and very nice about it, and these things happen, it didn't spoil the evening. I'm sure we would have a 5 star experience next time.

Told two members of staff that my super zucca salad was tastless, dry and looked old. Bit of orange humous smear was dried abs had dripped down side of plate and separated as if it had been warned then left to go cold. I left over a 1/3 of it as just couldn't eat anymore it has zero flavour the menu boasted about. Neither of the serving staff acknowledged my comments nor commented . They ignored me one was male, doing all the work, which the other, female who talked all the time to other female staff, largely ignored our group . The place was mainly empty, it was early. Five ish. We had to call staff to be served , get water, get cleared and get the bill. We left as soon as we Could. Maybe the chef should taste his/her food before sending as very little of our five meals had any flavour, & were not worth the money charged . .

Quite a large Zizi. Nice decor and the usual Italian esq menu. Wasn't busy at all Easter Sunday evening.

We went for lunch midweek and the food was tasty! The waitresses were nice and helpful and our food came out on time. Always good food at Zizzis and this didn't disappoint

Food wasn't totally bad just found it a bit tasteless..had my expectations high and got a bit disappointed...service was friendly atmosphere could improve slightly as we could here all the time a lot of noise (what seemed like cutlery baskets )coming from the kitchen and becomes a bit unpleasant when you're trying to enjoy your night.

A terrific evening out with super food served with care and in good time, by a charming team who are friendly, diligent, and attentive.

I love zizzis it was ok they were too busy my order came out wrong then was rectified and was still missing some ingredients so that was disappointing the staff seemed stretched and were only keen to take payment.

The dish I chose was not available, along with the new potatoes, but the chef did a side dish of mixed vegetables which was delicious. As was the alternative main choice of chicken in a harissa sauce.

Food was great but as it got busy service took quite a long time. Staff were lovely and really attentive, they just needed an extra person. Would defo go back.

Terrible experience from start to finish. It was for my branches Xmas party. It was unbelievable hard to first get an invoice out of them to prepay for the meal when I finally did sent it to my finance team who paid it. Turn up tonight and they tell me they have no record it’s been paid for and really seemed like they couldn’t be bothered to dig any deeper than it says on my screen it’s not been paid for……. Shocking. Well so I’ve now had to pay on my personal card so I look forward to trying to sort out refunds ect on Monday. Service was terrible from the manager and a handful of the staff. Had to keep getting the attention of someone for drinks otherwise you would just be left sitting there. Then issues with the puddings that I won’t go in too. Shame because I have always had good things to say out Zizzi’s but the Camberley has really let you down.

Good restaurant for family with kids. Enough space for pushchairs. Music not too loud. Staff are nice and helpful, give children menu, drawing paper and pens, change to children spoon and fork without asking. Food is tasty.

Very attentive staff but not OTT, normal Zizzi fare so no problems. Very good care taken of children. One of the better Zizzis. Enough said.

Asked if we could use Blue Light card for free starters, lady said yes but was told when bill arrived we couldn’t. All the pizzas were soggy in the middle suggesting undercooked. The table didn’t have all the cutlery and the service by 2 of the staff was unprofessional for their chosen trade; the 3rd lady was lovey and attentive. The gentleman at the end added a service charge without asking first which wasn’t realised until afterwards. All in all the whole experiences was far too expensive for the service provided. I would strongly advice you to find a different restaurant.

The restaurant overall is huge and widely spaced which I like however I did find it a bit on the warm side making me sweat a bit. I was served by a Polish waitress. I thought she was very friendly, kind and helpful. Customer service was faultless. The food I was a bit underwhelmed and disappointed. I found the portion size to be on the small side and I found my chorizo carbonara bland and runny even with the cheese on top. The garlic bread on the other hand I liked. Overall, there are some positives I found however some things I would have liked to see.

When I requested a spoon to twirl my linguine at the Italian restaurant, they only provided spoons if you ask for them. I was informed by the owner that they refuse to offer spoons due to the dishwasher's workload. I encountered the owner and discovered that this restaurant is unequivocally not worthwhile. A repugnant encounter with the manager and owner further solidified my recommendation against this restaurant. However, the Romanian server was extremely accommodating during this unpleasant experience that occurred approximately two months ago.

10/10. We went during the daytime when it was very quiet. The layout and atmosphere of the restaurant is immaculate! We were served by Cristian, very friendly and wonderful waiter. The food is the best part! The garlic bread with mozzarella was heavenly and we both demolished our main dishes. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Not local to this resturant and was approached by a very rude waitress. No 'hello', but just said that door is for delivery drivers only. We was sat at a table and decided we was not staying and left. We felt there was no need for her to say anything as we was already in and it wasnt busy. Looking at the door there was no sign stating 'No entry' to customers only that deliveries were to be picked up from that entrance. If you dont want customers using that door then you need to make it more clear.

We visited for dinner for my partners birthday, with our two children. We were greeted by an Eastern European lady and seated (not shown to a table but handed menus and told to pick where we wanted to sit) quickly enough. She took our orders after about 10 minutes later. Ten minutes after that our garlic bread arrived and she told us or calamari would be out shortly. She then stopped to chat at length with people I can only assume were her friends at the table next to us, for about ten minutes. Meanwhile we'd finished our garlic bread and wondering where our calamari was. All the while she's just chatting away! Eventually male server, who I later discovered was a manager brought our calamari and said that he didn't realise that we hadn't got it and that it mains we're also ready if we wanted them. We said we wanted to eat the starters first. Eventually the starter plate was taken and our mains, which had been sat on the counter all that time came out, warm but definitely not fresh out of the oven! My calzone was bland and had barely any cheese in it. My partner's pizza was also bland. All in all very disappointing. The eastern European lady server picked up our plates, didn't ask at all if everything was ok but just asked if we'd like a takeaway box for the leftovers. When she came back and she still didn't ask, I told her we weren't satisfied with our meal. She just said I'll get a manager, no apology, nothing. The manager (who was very nice) was apologetic, said he'd take my calzone off the bill, but ended up taking the majority of the food off. I can't help feeling like he knows things are not good there and feels bad about it!

Good 3 course set menu for kids. Good service and no tips added on bill. Nice place to eat. Main pizza and pasta pretty expensive at almost £16 each. The pizza is allot thinner than it used to be. Almost like paper. Ketchup wasn't Heinz Tables could be a bit bigger, especially with a family of 4 we had to put some stuff on the floor as there wasn't room.

We always have nothing but issues at this particular restaurant - We only ever return as it’s our local and the food is so nice. We also wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt as they’ve recently redecorated however, the service was appalling! It took a good 10 minutes of standing at the door until seen too. I was parched by the wait for a drink. Our food never came so I chased it and suddenly appeared a minute later stone cold! We had to send it back and wait for it to be re-made (in a rush) Although the waiter was very apologetic and rectified issues, the whole experience wasn’t satisfactory. Other tables were complaining around us. The new decor includes a board showing the staff which I don’t think does them any favours as you can see how little staff they’re running on… also a huge staff turnover. Always different staff every visit. upsetting but I don’t think this branch will be here much longer!

Pretty shocking service and “company policy”… went in for dinner, was seated and given menus, to then be told they only now accept card payments. I said that I don’t have a bank card. They said I couldn’t eat there. No alternative offered. We left and went over to Pizza Express next door. Service was spectacular, and they were more than happy to accept my legal tender! Reason given for not accepting cash at Zizzi is because they apparently don’t do bank runs anymore. Another cashless venue that we will not be visiting again. Bravo to Pizza Express!! 👏🏻

Shame on you Zizzi! We have always eaten here and now you won’t take our cash! You have lost our custom. We now go Pizza Express 💪🏻 Bring cash payments back!

Visited today, nobody was at the door. When finally got a table, waited for 20 minutes but nobody came. I finally stopped one of the waiters and was told he would come back. He didn’t so we left and nobody even noticed! Terrible!

Popped into Zizzi’s without pre-booking. very welcoming staff and accommodating. Service was very prompt and we could order drinks and food quickly. Sarah was exceedingly courteous and very helpful from the minute we arrived.

they served the pizza very spicy, although we ordered not spicy, since we were in a hurry and were very hungry, we had to hollow out the hot pepper and eat it. I have never seen such terrible service, neither cutlery nor knives, they didn't even put napkins, I had to tell the waiter to bring them. I was in this pizzeria for the first time and the last time. I understand they always say that people are wrong, but not like that... I do not recommend!!!!👎👎👎👎

Ordered collection for 8pm dident get it till 8.20pm Lasagna was beautiful however the chips and cheesy garlic bread was stone cold Order was £30 and only £15 was we’ll spend The waiter who gave me the food and waitress who greeting me at the door was very polite tho

Visited early evening last Thursday. Food was lovely and service was fantastic. Very refreshing to receive great customer service and hospitality, particularly from the guy in the red checked shirt, he may have been the Manager? More frequently these days I come across staff in the retail or hospitality industry that visibly just look like they can't be bothered, don't want to be in the job and frankly give poor service. Not here, all staff spoke politely and with a smile. Really lovely meal and we will return again.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere,our server Sarah, couldn’t do enough,she was so friendly and attentive. We were a table of 9 out celebrating my nieces 18th and all had a lovely time with lovely food and great service.

My family has been going to this zizzi’s for years and are yet to have a bad experience. Always lovely staff and even lovely-er food. Today we got it to go and they gave us complementary donuts… 10/10 amazing place.

Absolutely shocked by the rudness of the blonde long hair waiter today! I didn’t think lunch would be busy and met with a friend for lunch. Being gentlemen we let a mother and child go in front. They were seated. This rude, patronising young waitress told us there are no more tables for 2. I confronted her and she said tables are booked. But the two women behind us with a child had no booking either! Yet they were seated! I also think the waitress had a problem with me and my friend talking in a foreign language! This is going to the head office for sure! And I just emailed my complaint this is how furious I am! This restaurant is worst week by week! During a friend birthdays a few months back we waited an hour for the drinks to arrive. I will not return! Ever! By the way the churn of staff is a bad sign of a dying business! This is why staff is able to be rude to customers! We had a very pleasant meal in the end ay Wagamama served by lovely waiters and waitresess without attitude like the employees of Zizzi Camberley! Gone are the days when I knew at least couple of the waitresses by first name and they used to remember what I liked and always gave me a choice of tables. Now Zizzi staff is untrained and plain rude!

Food were not as good as the one in Bracknell. Calamari was particularly tasteless. Took 40mins to get our food after ordering. Service was okay though.

Food was good,we only ordered small plates as we didn't have much time, restaurant is clean and tidy and popular for a Tuesday night! Service was a bit slow but you be fair they were busy and didn't appear to have as much wait staff as maybe needed. Staff were super friendly and helpful where they could be.

Really fancied the prawn skewer so took myself to Zizzi. In town visiting and staying in a nearby hotel. The restaurant is nicely laid out so you don’t feel in top of other tables and I was seated at a nice table even without a reservation. Service was very good. My waiter was Robbie and he had a very nice professional manner. Friendly and funny but not jumping out of the woodwork every mouthful asking if everything was okay. We seemed to have the same sense of humour. Prompt service and very nice food. I had the prawn skewer (natch) and the pancetta and truffle carbonara. Apparently they were out of the advertised pasta but I was not bothered but I felt Robbie geared up for an argument and disgruntled customer … not I! Pasta is past, more or less. I hope I don’t offend Italians reading this. It was very tasty. Heavy on the truffle, and very very creamy. Lovely slice of crispy prosciutto on top. But the prawns were delish. Really tasty with some nice bread to mop up the garlic sauce. I could have had that a few more times Very pleasant meal

Quite disappointing, feels like it’s gone downhill in recent years. Understaffed, grubby furniture and cheesy smelling toilets. The food wasn’t great either - calamari just tasted of batter and salt while all the pizzas were smothered in cheese. It used to be nice.

We were a table of 12. We were seated in an area (inside) that was really cold. We all kept our coats on the whole of the way through the meal. Even with our coats on we were still uncomfortably cold. They had plug in mobile heaters but we couldn't feel any heat even though they were pointed directly at us. It kind of tarnished the whole meal. We'd have left and gone somewhere else but would have been tricky to find another restaurant that could take a table for 12 with no notice. Food was hit and miss. My food was great but others in my group weren't happy with theirs. On the whole it seems like a nice restaurant, nice layout and atmosphere. The staff were nice too. But just freezing cold and food is a lottery. Probably safer to go in the summer.

Came in for lunch with colleagues from work. Server with welcoming and pleasant. Food was very nice hot and great taste will definitely come back great price not overpriced.

Restaurant’s heating was broken and it was being heated by few portable small heaters. To be honest this wasn’t enough and they shouldn’t have bothered opening. Service was hit and miss. No one came to take our drinks orders. We ordered our drinks with food order in the end and then the water we ordered was not brought out. The food prices have increased fair bit in last few years but unfortunately the quality has majorly gone down hill. The “large” calamari was extremely overpriced for what we got. Other restaurants give you much better quality calamari and same size portion or half of what zizzis were charging. Seriously disappointing!!! Our mains were bit cold (guessing due to heating issues) but otherwise tasted ok but not quite worth the price. Even with 30% off the food was no where near worth what we paid. Staff were friendly, it’s a shame the prices gone through roof and food quality gone downhill as zizzis used to be one of my favourite restaurants.

I thought that Zizi was a good chain for food, oh how wrong was I. I ordered my pizza for delivery and it was cold, soggy and downright disgusting. Having to put my 15 pound pizza in the microwave is an outrage, if I wanted this I could’ve just put a supermarket pizza in the oven. Alex, the manager, was blaming me for the problem with the food he is serving. The customer service is poor at this restaurant. Do not buy food from here.

Was here really early, just after they opened. Friendly helpful staff, excellent menu, as always. Quickly took order and drink arrived quickly, along with a glass of water and some complimentary "nibbles". Sit back and relax. Ordered the Calzone Carne Piccante, well cooked, great ingrediants and "spicy". Really good. Washed down with a large Merlot. £23. Just what was needed before going round the shops. Place filled up quite quickly and plenty of staff around.

Friday night and the restaurant wasn’t very busy, however the service was very very slow. Starters arrived before our drinks, which was fine however when we ordered our next drinks we had to ask 3 different members of staff and wait 25 mins until they came- all we had asked for was a jug of water and a coke! It seems we asked one person who then told another, another made the drinks and then a 4th member of staff bought us the drinks- no continuity. We ordered a spaghetti carbonara and when it arrived it was not spaghetti but pasta and when we asked if this was correct the waitress said no it’s wrong and then looked at us and waited for us to ask for it to be corrected. When we got our cutlery for our dessert (after the dessert had been bought to the table) we got given a dirty spoon and again had to wait a substantial amount of time for a new one to be bought over.

Cutting back to save cost and charging the customer more for the privilege. Food was cold and missing toppings. Disappointing to see standards drop so far.

They are back - !! — for a while there I thought Zizzi would not return to their high standard but at last I can safely say that the quality of service and food was outstanding.

Just left the worst dining experience ever, I had belly pork which I had years ago and loved, this time it was awful, I'd say it resembled a pork chop, it was dry, chewy and small, plate was filled with veg which was also dry, loads of diced potatoes which had been microwaved as they burnt my mouth but nothing else was that hot, daughter had six layer lasagne which was covered in pesto and no mention of this on the menu, she hates pesto, had to ask for the bill three times the guy in the plad shirt just kept saying in a minute, will never return I'm just annoyed at myself for not sending it back oh yeah the wife's pizza was barely warm, all meals came out in around 10 minutes which should have waved a red flag to me, bloody awful

Popped on at 5.15 and asked for a table for 2. Fully booked cant fit you in!! Well it wasn't full when I left Pizza Expres at 6pm!! Disappointing.

The food was the only good thing about it. We went there for a 39th wedding anniversary meal which was a bit tainted by our drinks taking an hour to arrive ( how long should it take to get the top off a bottle) and constant mistakes like bringing a pizza when we ordered calzone and 3 times a waiter bringing a bottle of wine that I never ordered. They were very apologetic but its fine to say sorry for one mistake but they just kept getting it wrong all evening. They did compensate me with a free bottle of beer and a cocktail plus 25% off the bill and that's fine but I would rather have a trouble free evening.
