Service was extremely slow. We watched people who came in way after us get served their food shortly after we got served and we had Waited quite a long time for food . Food wasn't that great . Chips was over salted. Overall a waste of time comming here

Visited after a day out in Brighton. Pre-booked our table which was very easily done on the website. Place didn’t have a huge amount of atmosphere. Waiter was friendly enough although seemed very rushed. The food portions in my opinion are very small! £15 for a bolognaise which had at most one large spoonful of sauce which was 90% tomato and very little amount of meat at all. Pizza was better value. I personally I wouldn’t rush to go back. Not due to this particular site but zizzi at all.

Just had a nice lunch there with my husband. He had a rustic pizza with nduja, spicy salami, mushrooms, mascarpone and rocket. It was very tasty. I had the beef and chianti ragu with mafaldine pasta, it was an excellent dish. So flavoursome and very authentic. I definitely recommend it 👌🏻

Worst service I have ever seen! No drinks order taken until 15 mins later and staff allowing one poor girl to do all the work. We left before making an order to go elsewhere! Embarrassing

We went in hoping to eat Italian, but there was nothing Italian. The pasta was overcooked, the sauce too liquid.

This was not a pleasant experience. We were rudely turned away by a man with pink hair claiming they were fully booked on a Tuesday evening. However, to no surprise given the abundance of empty tables, were able to make a booking online for 15 minutes after we arrived. Unfriendly staff who should not be turning away paying customers.

Standard zizzi restaurant, quick service great food choice and nice atmosphere in busy restaurant

All I can say is WOW. Even though I had booked I advance it took 10 minutes to get a table. Another 10 before we got the waiter. We left. On the way out I explained to the manager that we are leaving due to bad service. I even explained that I had been poor reviews on this store. She did not give a cr@p. She just said 'whatever'. This is a new low level of service I have experienced.

The waiter was unfriendly, forced us to tip, very rude facial expressions. Did not feel very welcome.

So many things wrong with this place. Be warned, if you have an allergy or intolerance the waitresses are Incapable of taking your order and you have to scan a code, fill in all your details and order separately to your group which seemed totally absurd and as a result my food came out after everyone else’s, it was also burnt. Our drinks took almost half hour to come, and not a single waitress checked on us for the entire two hours we were there (it wasn’t even busy). Having worked in fast paced restaurants myself, never have I ever seen people with intolerances/allergies have to go through such weirdness just to order. Service was trash.

Completely unfriendly waitress who doesn't even say hello and prefers not to be disturbed by the guests while looking at her mobile phone. Only 20 minutes after placing our order were we told that some ingredients were missing, so unfortunately I had to order something else. Annoying, because I only chose this restaurant because of the pasta with salmon. So my husband and the children ate alone and when everyone had finished, my food arrived. Even with dessert, half of the dishes on the menu couldn't be ordered because ingredients were missing, for example chocolate (I can't understand why such a simple ingredient can't simply be procured). On a positive note, the waiter/chef is super friendly and the food is really delicious when it arrives.

Some of our group had cold food, all the food arrived at different times, staff were not very friendly and extremely unhelpful when we were trying to pay

It was freezing cold . Service was very very slow. Staff don't work as part of a team . It was a lot of money for mediocre experience.

A pretty poor visit. We had a late lunch, booked for 2pm and it was fairly quiet. Tiny table for 4 people when they serve food on massive wooden platters. Garlic bread came with main meals instead of as starters, one garlic bread was room temperature. Sweet potato fries had to be sent back, they were fridge cold. Server didn't care, no apology. She couldn't wait to get off shift. Maybe it had been a bad day. Atmosphere was pretty non-existence. Music came on and then went off.

Food was Luke warm and was busy but lack of staff caused service to be slow.

My dish was bland. Spaghetti Chorizo Carbonara. No seasoning. It was Spaghetti in a bowl of oil/melted butter. No creamy Carbonara sauce or even a hint of parmesan cheese. My husbands pizza was very good. The Hostess on the door was very rude, but the wait staff were friendly and attentive. It was a first for me to use a knife and fork to eat dessert - Brownie & Honeycomb Pizzette (delicious) but the base was very tough. Overall quite a disappointing dining experience.

Bad experience They served one of us before everyone else The mains took a really long time to come out despite not appearing to be overly busy. The home made pasta had a weird gummy texture - really unpleasant Worst experience: The guy serving us the drinks mocked one of us for ordering a non alcoholic beer. I get it was attempt at humour and not intended to offend, but pretty inappropriate and could have been upsetting to someone in recovery.

Amazing service...amazing tasty food and great prices too. If you have tastecard please use it !! Went there again yesterday 5/October/23 and had the most amazing hostess called Mayzee ! Zizzi Brighton is the best !!!

I have actually never left a post for a bad experience. If I had known this was a chain I wouldn’t have gone. I love authentic Italian. We arrived it’s our last night ordered appies and they took an hour. Only one came out then30 minutes the other. The server didn’t even know when our food was coming due to being backed up with take out. (That was more important) A table next to use had food delivered to their table which wasn’t there’s and they waited an hour. Turns out it was ours and we never saw it. Their food came and look of disgust on their face all 4 of them were complaining. Seeing that we actually left behind them. Along with a few other tables. I would not recommend this place at all. We ended up going to this cute Italian place same side just around the corner with this amazing lighted patio and service and authentic food.

Came in over 2 hours before closing and was told the restaurant will now be closing down early. We left and then came back and asked for a takeaway (for some weird reason they never mentioned this was an option). We managed to get a takeaway but judging from his tone it seemed they were more or less wanting to rush to go home early then to provide actual good customer service. What made it worse was when we got our pizzas it wasnt even cut into slices 🙃 Wouldnt bother returning again, better hospitality elsewhere with staff who are more welcoming!

Food was okay but extremely bland and the chicken milanese was described as coming with garlic spinach... I had one spinach leaf!! We were served by a young girl initially who was very friendly and helpful but then the female manager took over and the service was non existent. She didn't check in to ask how our food was at all; I had to chase her down for the bill and then sat there trying to get her attention with my credit card on the table while she walked passed innumerable times. I only managed to finally pay when I went to the bar and asked if I could pay the barman. Overall, this restaurant is so bog standard that I really would not bother when there are so many other better options. If you want to eat somewhere where your custom is valued and the staff care about what they are feeding you, this is not the place!!

I went with a group of 7 others and we loved the food, service and atmosphere. I'm gluten intolerant (not celiac) and so ordered the GF pizza. It was the best gf pizza base I've ever had! Tasted just like a traditional Italian pizza base. The staff were super nice, friendly and helpful. We had a great evening here, highly recommend.

I think this restaurant is clearly racist here. Me and my son were led into a small, messy corner. It was dinner time, but the lights on our table were broken and didn't work. The plate of the pasta ordered was served with a mess around it. All the food we ordered was also bad, so we were hungry, but we had no choice but to leave it all behind. It was the worst experience of my trip to England.

Not even worthy of 1 star let alone 5. Waited 20 minutes to be asked what drinks we would like. We ordered mains with the drinks as god knows how much longer we’d wait. 45 minutes later… no food. I asked after 50 minutes how much longer it would be. To be told there’s a delay in the kitchen but they are cooking it so 5 more minutes. Another 20 minutes went by, no food. In this whole time waiting, we wasn’t asked if we wanted more drinks etc. awful service. 3 other tables had come in and ordered over 30 minutes after us and had their mains and starters. So I don’t understand what the ‘delay in kitchen’ was. Disgusting service. We got up paid the drinks and left without the mains even arriving to the table as it was laughable how long it was taking. Won’t return. Don’t usually eat at chain restaurants and today I got reminded why.

My family visited Zizzi on the Sunday of the August bank holiday. We booked in advance but at 12pm it was still very quiet, so walk-ins were probably accepted. We were greeted when we entered and given a choice of tables. My 2-year-old was occupied with the menu that doubles as a colouring-in sheet. He also enjoyed the complimentary pasta crisps. My wife and I chose the Italian Garden. I had meatless meatballs on mine as I quite like the sound of these. Our son had the little soul breads and lentil ragu. The sauce on the pizzas was delicious and it is always great being able to see the pizza oven. It was a shame there were not more vegan pizzas on offer as the Zizzi ones available in supermarkets are tasty so it is surprising they didn't do these in the actual restaurant. I'm not sure why but service was efficient but not friendly. There was no check to see if we were ok with our meal and when we asked for the ragu pasta to be boxed up we were just given the box. I feel this is something that could have been done for us. We just felt invisible. Signage for the toilets was not clear but it was down some steps. We found as we were leaving the accessible toilets and baby changing. Unfortunately, this was too late for us as I had already changed my son on the floor outside the downstairs toilets.

Lovely. Good for wheelchairs. Nice staff. Good gluten free. Lovely food.

Estive recentemente em no restaurante dia 24/08/2023 . Vi como uma das atendentes ignorava um rapaz que trabalha com delivery , estava chovendo o rapaz esperou pacientemente do lado de fora na chuva ela o ignorava . Uma pessoa que trata qualquer pessoa dessa forma não está prepara para lidar com o público . Me coloquei no lugar do delivery , me senti muito mal por isso .

Very slow service 45 mins on a Tuesday night wasn't packed either. Chips were pure greasy couldn't eat(didn't charge us). Pizza was good. Salad was about one leaf with dressing and very overpriced @4.15. Teenage grandaughters had mocktails @ 5 each and were very underwhelming! Disappointed won't try Zizzi again.

Cardboard thin greasy pizza, clearly been frozen. No taste. Staff were sweaty but kind. Very poor hygiene in the kitchen by the looks of it

Went for my dad's birthday :) food was really good and came out in good time. Not too long to wait between courses. A full restaurant and fairly seamless service in spite of that. My only query was that we were Asked via online booking if we were celebrating an occasion and yet nothing was acknowledged. I'm not criticising as I understand they were busy but it seems pointless to include that in the booking process 🙃

Myself and my wife came down to Brighton and picked Zizzi’s for our birthday dinner. We are not ones to usually complain but had a terribly rude waiter, who ignored us most of the time. Didn’t come and check if our food was okay. Didn’t say I hope you enjoy your meal. I had to get up and ask a waitress for a dessert. The guy could see we were waiting for the bill for ages but he continued to ignore us. This is unacceptable and made us feel extremely unwelcome and better customer service skills are required by staff to prevent other customers feeling this way!

This is a tourist's pizza restaurant. Yes, (part of) the staff is Italian, the pizzas were quite good and the rainbow lasagne was a brilliant idea - but served too cold. It was replaced (thank you!) but the replacement could not be called hot either. I do understand the technical reasons for that, but stil, we were not left with a "Wow!"-feeling. Still, go here, by all means. It's safe, good food, fast service, your dog is allowed outside (where there are heaters) and maybe I'm just being difficult. But they did not have mismatched tableware, and the waiter did not raise an irritated eyebrow when my wife ordered a Latte with her pizza. It's the little things, you know...

Me and my partner went for a meal out. We got sat near the bar with bright lights where they were playing drum and bass music and throwing forks into a tray. We actually couldn’t even talk the atmosphere was unbearable. We asked to move and they moved us to a lovelt bit of the restraunt with nice music and soft lighting and we had a different Waitress. Who was LOVELy! Made our evening (she was young with high up braids ) and the food was really nice. So it was a good experience after the moving of seats. And thanks to the waitress :)

They are so late and some of the food not tasty

We had dinner last night with my two children and husband. I had the chicken and prosciutto salad, and 2 hours later I fell very unwell with food poisoning. It ruined our trip to Brighton, as I spent the night until this morning being very sick. We had to cut our trip short so that I could come home and rest.

40minute wait for 2 under cooked pasta plates, grumpy waiters, and the fryer didn't even work. Below than average experience.

Terrible experience. We were a table of 10 and the service was shocking. It took ages to get drinks, two of the starters came out so late that everyone else had eaten theirs. The staff made rude comments and were clearly didn’t want to be there. It was so disappointing, I would not recommend!

What can I say it was somewhat of a disappointment. Ordered our drinks and they were left too long at the bar so just tasted of ice water when arrived. Asked for them be redone which took longer than expected. Then our starters came out at all different times, so one of us was eating alone while two of us were waiting. One of the starters was completely forgotten about so one of us had to eat alone again. The starters weren't really that great. Took them ages to clear our table even though they kept walking past. The mains were disappointing we had the pork belly which was cooked lovely, but all of the other elements were dry/lacked flavour. The beef ragu wasn't a very beefy taste like you would expect it to be nor had any substance to it. The pizza was super thin and was like a crisp so most of the toppings just fell off, but had a good flavour. Just overall flat nothing exciting, won't be going back. Which is shame because I remembered it being a yummy place and now it's just meh.

Really bad attention, we been with a kid and his food was the last after ask in three opportunities for the food. Not Italian taste and the value between the food and the quality it’s really poor.

The cost of the food for what you get is pretty disappointing I mean I can't complain about the food but I have had much better Pizza for much less the cost. Drinks are cost like a joke too.

If you have an intolerance or allergy they force you to download and use an incredibly slow and awkward app. All that money and not proper table service- whoever decided this was a good idea! Terrible!

Sieciowa włoska restauracja Zizzi z przepysznymi specjałami podawanymi na drewnianych tacach. Przepiękne, przytulne i przestronne wnętrze, takie lekkie w wystroju, nie przesadzone, w naturalnych kolorach i dekoracjach. Restauracja, znajduje się w sercu zabytkowej dzielnicy Lanes w Brighton przy 7 Prince Albert ST. bajecznego labiryntu krętych uliczek, sklepów z antykami i butików. Jedzenie można zamówić na miejscu, na wynos i z dowozem. Wchodząc od razu wyczuć można zapach jedzenia. A to dobry znak. Zamówiłam Calzone Pollo Spinaci. Do tego lampkę wytrawnego wina. Ciasto miękkie i delikatne, nie opadało za bardzo przy podnoszeniu. A to co było w pieroga to przechodzi ludzkie pojęcie. Połączenie kurczaka, szpinaku, sera mozzarella, szynki prosciutto, grzybów z kremowym sosem beszamelowym było doskonałe. Dodatkiem do potrawy była prawdziwa oliwa z oliwek smakowa z chilli,która była nieziemska. Takiej dobrej jeszcze nigdy nie jadłam. Była delikatna i bez gorzkiej goryczy, a zarazem ostra. Serdecznie polecam to miejsce.

Went for a meal with hen do party. Service was dreadful. Waiter made a very unprofessional comment when I asked for a glass to be changed as it was dirty. Made a member of the group who is a coeliac feel very uncomfortable. A dessert was missed out. General service not good.

Who ever made my salad should give up cooking. My greens. rockets and sweet peas were fresh and delicious but fried prosciutto? Really? And a few slices of avocado with a few cubes of chicken? I counted, 3 cherry tomatoes and some cheep ranchero dressing, for that I paid around £15, realistically, more likely to be worth £7-8. Anyway, some sliced goat’s cheese, shredded chicken,fresh prosciutto and balsamic dressing with a touch of lemon juice, olive oil, pepper and salt would be worth the price that I paid for. However, the girl who was serving was absolute gem, overall not too bad.

I went to Zizzi's in Brighton lanes yesterday evening with my family and boyfriend to celebrate my mum's birthday. When we arrive we were greeted by a blonde haired lady with a cream coloured cardigan who asked if you had any allergies. I said eat gluten-free and vegan she told me to order through the app to make sure the order was right. There was a lot of confusion around it, which I don't think was addressed properly, but that wasn't the main issue. We sat down and only I had to order through the app, even though my mum also declared she was gluten-free and vegetarian she didn't have to order through the app (same reason l'm gluten free) she got to order to the waitress. I sent in my order though the app the same time as the rest of the tables order was taken by a waitress. My order came out 15/20 mins before everyone else's did and it arrived with very obviously normal cheese on it even though ordered through the app to make sure the " allergies" were dealt with properly. I mentioned it to the waitress asking if this was vegan cheese and she went no l'll get re made and "apparently the system messes up sometimes". So not only my food was delivered way before everyone else's was, it was also made with an ingredient that shouldn't be on it due to the reasons why I was made to order through the app. The whole table felt like the staff didn't care and was treating us un-welcomely. Not only that drinks were forgotten, the attitude when taking orders felt uncomfortable even though the restaurant was basically empty with only very few deliveries. Over all our experience was very stressful and unpleasant. Even my partner there who works at a different company branch connected to ZIZIs was shocked about the treatment we received.

The food was completely tasteless. We ordered King Prawn Linguine and Casareccia Pollo Picante. There were barely any pieces of chicken or prawn on the plate. I do not recommend.

Tasteless pasta, cheese grated on your lap and staff members that really struggled to do their job. You get it all in Brighton, probably thinking: 'they're tourists, they're never going to come back, so... who cares!'

Service from staff was horrendous. Completely ignored at door for 5 minutes despite being with an elergy individual with a walking stick. Had to sit ourselves down at a messy table in the end. When the manageress finally came over she was very disrespectful and didn't apologise. She was very short with us despite the restaurant not being busy. It was clear that they were understaffed in the front and inexperienced as they were prioritising cleaning than taking orders and addressing customers.

Was on a date night with my partner, our first in what feels like forever!! Great experience, really friendly staff, food was brilliant and some great vegan choices! Oh and maybe not to everyone's taste (and not always mine), but the music was pleasuring us with some slightly older dance music so really have an upbeat vibe. Loved it!!

Half term is always a busy time and they were a staff member down but the servers were still attentive. I really enjoyed the food and would eat here again.

I took my two young children in here in the evening. Ordered Margarita pizza and it took a while to get to the table and there was too many staff standing around chatting and ignoring customers. Also some were sat at tables eating take aways in-front of customers. Lots of plastic plant decor and washing line's suspended from the ceilings with women's underwear! Pizza was ok and fresh.

Amazing experience, waiters were all lovely and gave great service. I had something in my wine glass and they were more than happy to replace the drink and the glass and even apologised on the way out as well!

Decent Italian restaurant. Didn’t like the behavior of one staff member. We ordered King Prawn Linguine, Burrata Caprese Salad and Zillionaire’s Fudge Cake. That cake was SO delicious. Would go back in for the dessert but there are better options our there. In terms of service and variety.
