Terrible food suprised its not cats and dogs need to be shut down asap

Ordered katsu fries and sesame prawn toast. Katsu fries were not great and expensive so wouldn't order again. The prawn toast was what was really disgusting and i have no clue what they sent me. No prawn just this weird mushy tasting green filling with a pesto taste. No idea what happened here but revolting and went straight in the bin

Does this look like prawn pad Thai to you ??? Absolutely useless🤢

Had Firecracker chicken with Edamame egg fried rice. Love the flavour of this dish, and it was cooked fresh to order. Friendly staff, would definitely recommend 🙂

There is bad, then very bad and then there is zing zing… enough said! Bad food, rude staff. Cannot recommend at all…

When the delivery guy arrives, he has the wrong order. We had to wait another 20 minutes for our food. But the sad thing is that the food that was delivered was uneatable. The most disgusting experience in food that I have ever had.

Worst Chinese food I have ever tasted, I wouldn’t even give it to a dog if I had one. It all ended up in the bin, where it belonged. I later looked at the hygiene rating for this takeaway and it was 0 out of 5. I think that says a lot. There are better Chinese takeaways in the area that are 100 times better.

This is the worst Chinese food that I’ve ever tasted. It’s not fit for a dog. There was only one place for this so called Chinese food and that was the dustbin. Absolute waste of money. The food had been reheated and was therefore not edible. The owner was not interested in feedback at the time.

Used to live Zing Zing/Green but I’m not sure what’s happened - food is so greasy, almost inedible, cauliflower kind of ok but tasted far from fresh. So sad, it used to be such a beautiful go-to. We will be spending our hard earned money on takeaway treats elsewhere.

I used to order from here every week for years but since they switched to deliveroo only, I haven't order once. The prices have gone up by a 3rd and I don't have the option to order for collection on their website. Feels very impersonalbe now compared to how they used to represent themselve. I do really like the food but it's not worth the value anymore. Also it's pretty dissapointing to remove the rewards system.

Ordered for delivery and after an hour it did not turn up… when i phoned the staff member was very rude… what so you expect we are busy… people like you should be more patient! Not sure who people like me are?? When the food did arrive it was cold / congealed and unappetising… a waste……Anyway a big miss for me..

Very Delicious and fresh Asian food, I had my meal in and I saw the chefs cooking....very welcoming people and big portion.

Hidden Deliveroo fees in menu items in addition to service and delivery fees is unwelcome.

Very rude staff who took our order like they were doing us a favour, when the food came the chicken was undercooked, salty and oily. It tasted like the some dishes had been reheated.

Please do not waste your money. The food came cold, was greasy and very salty. On complaining the manager yelled abuse.

I ordered a vegan tofu black bean curry takaway and was given beef instead 🙄 Definitely stay away from here if you have dietary requirements of any kind

Had a takeaway last night and whilst great flavours except the over spiced with 5 spice seaweed the firecracker beef and squid was all a bit stodgy and soggy as if it had been made for ages and sat around.

Ordered tofu in black bean sauce, Korean hot wings, spring rolls and katsu fries. Tofu was great, Korean hot wings were AWFUL - described as “crisp” on the menu so I assumed they were fried. They weren’t, they were slimy. The “katsu fries” were basically cold oven chips with curry sauce. The spring rolls were also cold, and bad. I usually don’t post bad reviews because I know times are tough and people are trying their best but the sheer price of this compelled me to. I paid over £30 and could barely eat any of it. FEWMIN!!

It’s my local takeaway Chinese restaurant. Decent food, however, prices went to the roof (not the pandemic though, it was getting more and more expensive prior to that)

Terrible Chinese. Chow mein missing from the order, completely burnt prawn toast, undercooked chicken wings. It’s on the expensive end even for a good Chinese let alone this disaster of a meal.

Been ordering from these guys for a while now for all our team events, even helped us out at Xmas time for our virtual party. Always have had great dishes and great service. Try the firecracker cauliflower!

I’ve previously had good meals from Zing Zing but the recent meal I had was awful. Cheap greasy cold overpriced food that could be bought for a fraction of the price they are charging. Paid £6.50 for extra wings and got 3. I could buy a fully cooked chicken for £6.50 so getting 3 wings was an insult.

I ordered via deliveroo delivery and very very disappointed! Its like they tossed mains, side dish and dessert all in black bean sauce! Initially the zing box contains enough but not if you're hungry. I decided to order separately and the price for main is same as a zing box so have to also order side like rice/noodles. Thought would be better portion too for the price. Despite the spilled food, I tried egg fried rice but it was full of salt! Like literally mouthful off salt!!! Do you not try your food before handling to customers??? Also better up on sizes for mains plus change of containers used for main dishes. Cling flim don't hold sauces and is still plastic!

Super tasty and great portion size. Despite the Friday rush, when we opened the box the noodles are still hot! Also loved the chocolate spring roll and very environmental friendly packaging! Would definitely order again!

Soooo salty. I ordered Singapore Noodles. It said chicken with prawns. NO PRAWNS!!! 3 small bites of chicken. Huge portion of vermicelli. Very bad! Never again. Also ordered mushroom toast. It was toasted alright, burned, flamed. Horrible!!!!

The app said the food was delivered at 19:55 - but nothing had arrived at that time. I called the restaurant several times but there was no answer. I called just eat and there was only a recorded message. I contacted just eat via their chat service and someone said they were going to look into it for me but they never replied. The food finally arrived at 20:35 - 40 minutes after it said it had been delivered. As we had had no response from just eat or the restaurant we had already ordered another takeaway from elsewhere. The food was pretty disappointing and lacking in flavour - the cauliflower was not crispy and tasted a little bitter. The seaweed did not have that “umami” taste. The aubergine was cut too big and not cooked through. All in all it was a disappointing experience all round and terrible value for money.

Food was really good quality. OH loved his portion, mine was nice but wasn't a fan of the crispy beef personally (but that's just me, not the food!)

How can all the meal are so salty!!! I tried 3 of the box meal and each time I ended up drinking 3L water in 1 hr. NEVER gonna order again.

Will never again order from a company which tries to grow by making sweeping false generalisations and stamping on an entire community's culture. Complete ignorance and lack of respect. You state you strive for authentic Chinese food yet you combine multiple East asian cuisines and pass it off as authentic. That hurtful copy may no longer be on your website but a lot of us have already seen it and have been incredibly burnt.

Racist and upsetting website that claims other chinese restaurants have "bad hygiene", enforcing nasty stereotypes. Go elsewhere for legit chinese food actually cooked by chinese folk. 👍I'd recommend xian impressions in highbury if you want the real deal.

They didn't send the skinny ginger chicken, instead they sent a vegetarian version with tofu.

The food was good, rice a little dry, but the container for the beef had burst and sauce had leaked all over the bag and other boxes

Fast delivery even on a friday night, both chicken meal box dishes were very tasty, katsu fries likewise. Hot and well packaged and included an unexpected free dessert and ginger shot drink! Will order again.

Cant give it no stars unfortunately. Terrible service 3 hours late. Rang up and kept being told it's on it's way. The food was cold, tasteless and to be honest discussing.. I would recommend everyone to avoid this place

Succulent and tasty. It is not the cheapest you can find, but the few pounds difference buys you some of the best food I have ever had. Top marks through and through!

The food was really good. My only complaint is that the duck was cold, oh and you could add a few more vegetables to the duck pancakes. As a suggestion have another think about the containers for the main dishes. The heat from my chicken main dish disfigured the polysterine container, so as I was removing it from the bag, most of the sauce was spilled. The prices are a little high but the portions are quite large. Overall, I am really happy and I will give it another try, hopefully the issues with the duck were just a mishap.

My vegan noodles came with egg in them. Emailed about this, no response. This is the second time they've put egg/fish in something that's meant to be vegan.

Katsu curry is a bit bland, wings nice, but not spicy and kinda small. Mongolian beef and egg fried rice were really good.

On Deliveroo they have a 4.5 rating. I don’t know how - the food is very poor - cheap ingredients and overcooked, beef was inedible, all tasted the same mostly of salt and low quality off the shelf sauce.

No taste, quite bland noodles, very dry and veg was hard, perhaps not cooked thoroughly. Was meant to be noodles with veg and white meat but it was all dry noodles until the bottom of the box where the veg was. Will not order this dish again.

Have ordered before and the food was fine. This time ordered quarter Crispy Duck (not crispy at all,) l had Chicken Katsu which was awful. Not tender. Rock hard. I was surprised it only took 10 muns to get here.(thus Duck not crispy,) Will not order from Zing Zing Again.

Disgusting. Chile beef strips box was essentially big lumps of rubbery, tasteless meat floating in oil. Flushed the whole thing down the toilet (with some fairy liquid to get rid of the oil).

Delicious food, great value for money

Ordered the meals and boxes came with just rice without the main bits. When calling to let them know they made a mistake and food is missing they said there isn’t much they can do as they don’t have drivers and I can only complain through Uber eats ... after arguing with them they magically found a driver who can deliver to me 10 mins away on a bike . Terrible service . They also go under the name of “Shwang “ on Uber eats

Well The portions of the mains was small! Than any other Chinese restaurants. The meat was dry and hard to chew. Am very disappointed!

No allergens given on online menu. No option to give allergens in notes . Food arrived to discover that I couldn't eat half the dishes. Super disappointed. This restaurant is not friendly to people with allergies. The food that I could eat was 2stars. Won't be returning

My housemates and I ordered around £80 worth of food from Zing Zing tonight and when the driver arrived we only received three small dishes. We were trying to call the restaurant for about 15 minutes before someone finally picked up. After explaining we were missing two thirds of our order we were told there was nothing they could do about it by a very unhelpful member of staff... so I would be weary if you're getting a large order in it could be money wasted!

We placed our order at just before 7pm and were given a delivery time of 7:45pm. When the food didn't arrive by then, I used the justeat platform to ask where it was. We were then given an updated delivery time of 8:40pm. At 8:45pm I requested a partial refund (but still to get the food) via the justeat platform. At 8:55 I called the restaurant to see where the food was. They didn't know and said they'd call back in 5 minutes. They didn't. At 9pm I called them back and was told they thought I had cancelled the order, were having problems with the justeat platform, but if I still wanted to get the food they would send it out to me. On both occasions when I spoke to staff they were rude and unhelpful - unwilling to accept responsibility for my food being late, or to offer any sort of apology. At 9:30 the food finally arrived - 2 and a half hours after we ordered it. We were exhausted after a long week and absolutely starving. We will never be ordering from Zing Zing again.

Crispy duck pancakes were ok but not enough cucumber to go with the duck and I think it is overpriced for the portion size. I normally get a headache when eating MSG, so was surprised when one came on overnight as they claim no MSG. Could be coincidence but feels not-perhaps in the sauces if not made on premise? They forgot my paid for prawn crackers and when I called to ask for them they said they couldn't be delivered as only 1 item so it would have to be refunded (which goes on JustEat account, not proper refund). They were not apologetic in the slightest and the customer service was terrible. I will not order from them again.

We ordered Szechuan Aubergine Zing Box, Coconut Dusted Cauliflower, Sweet Sesame Tofu and some steamed rice online via Deliveroo. The food was amazing!

It was really late. My first email said it would arrive by 7.35. The food arrived around 2040.

Food very tasty, slightly later than should have been delivered however was still lovely and warm and tasted delicious!!

The food is good but it’s over priced

Meal was never delivered despite phoning direct 45minutes after it should have been delivered and then promised to send it as soon as possible. We should have received the meal by 9.30pm but I’m writing this at 11.15pm with still no sign of a meal or a refund of our money. NO STARS FOR ANYTHING, this place is the worst takeaway in the world!!

It's just such pot luck whether the meal will be good or bad. It's very inconsistent. I ordered duck pancakes. Sometimes these can be very small. Mine had huge chunks of fat and little meat. My main bugbear is that they are always so stingy with the sauce. They take 1 small circular container and it's usually only half full, sometimes just a 1/3. It's enough to use sparingly on half the duck. Why guys?

Best Chinese takeaway I’ve had in London. Full of flavour, tastes fresh, quick delivery polite and helpful on phone order to Finsbury Park location. Zing boxes are amazingly good value. Thanks guys.

I never normally order any dessert from a Chinese restaurant but honestly the Nutella banana spring rolls were absolutely delicious. The main dishes were also really lovely. Would definitely recommend and will be ordering from here again soon.

Zing Zing - What’s happened?? Your food used to be authentic and amazing. It’s now shocking and each dish tastes same packed with cheap onions and peppers. Bring back the old chef. Will never order again

Disgusting, brown, old, dry , and possibly re heated from frozen food. So salty and vile. Literally inedible. Also, the food took 2 hours to arrive , they don’t answer the phone either. My food had clearly been sitting on the side for an hour because it was stone cold, I had to throw the whole £50 order in the bin. This place needs to be closed down already.

The food is always fresh, hot and delicious. I’ve used Zing Zing a few times and they never disappoint.

As other reviewer said burnt to a cinder. The piece my partner tried tasted weird. They couldn’t get away with this in a restaurant. There was no contact number on the website to get a replacement.

It was ok - but really - just not that good - the food tastes like it’s been out on an ”all you can eat” buffet all day - warmed up and put in pretty packaging - dry meat in overly sweet sauce - not the first time I’ve tried zing zing - and never been impressed- have made up my mind now - it will be the last - soz. Worth mentioning though - that the packaging was all paper and cardboard bar a little plastic sauce pot. Wish other companies would follow their example on packaging. We should all boycott the black plastic food trays - non recyclebar... used much too often.

The delivery person simply left the food on the doorstep - didn’t ring the bell at all. The food was as disappointingly only just average - certainly no where near as good as previous orders - hopefully not a sign of things to come. Had many previous orders from zing zing - and they were great - not this one.

Yummy Chinese food. Great delivery times and going green on it's packaging. Great veggie options too. Never disappoints.

Didn’t receive food and restaurant ignoring calls

Great food but second time in a row smaller boxes badly leaking and tipped onto sides. Restaurant needs to review its packaging system.

Unfortunately the food was inedible because it was dry and old, perhaps reheated. We’ve had good delivery from here in the past so it was disappointing. Expensive for sub standard food.

No slightest knowledge about servicing: No napkins! No chopsticks, nothing. Plain teared 2 boxes of 2 meals. It was to be ashamed of.

Unbelievable food will definitely be returning. The glazed sesame chicken was easily the best I’ve had.
