The meat dishes are not good quality. If you’ve had authentic Ethiopian food then you will be bitterly disappointed.

The food here is fantastic, authentic and delicious. Portion sizes are very big and the team who run the restaurant are very friendly. The sharing plates are ideal.

Fantastic Ethiopian Food! We love Ethiopian and usually hit up a spot any time we travel to a new city. This place is legit! So good and the service is also great. It’s a little ways out there as most Ethiopian places tend to be..but it’s easily worth the trip! This easily deserves all the hype and positive reviews.

I had somehow never had Ethiopian food before and I loved this place. I heard about it on the Infatuation and glad I took the recommendation. Would recommend a reservation even on a weeknight because this seems to be a popular spot for people the catch up in the neighborhood. Overall really enjoyed the dinner for two option with a little taste of everything. Also the tea was yummy.

Highly recommend if you are looking for Ethiopian food in south London

The staff here are wonderful. They take the time to explain dishes. The frankincense burning in the air makes you feel like you’re almost about to eat at a friends house. We ended up getting 2 platters between 4 people and for the variety that you get I would say it’s good value. You can tell how proud the team are of what they do. The starter we had I’ve forgotten the name but it was an amazing crispy bit of bread , with a smoked pepper-iness to , different yo any flavour I’ve had before. All the parts of the platter were wonderful and it was nice to try so much , the staff top you up on injera too so eat away!

Traditional Ethiopian restaurants, had a the combo for one with beef , chicken two side veggies and a salad for £17.99. The food arrived cold and not spicy , the side veggies was different than what I ordered. Had the spicy Ethiopian tea which I loved and it was hot and cost £2.99. Complained about the food but nothing done about it.

Amazing food and the staff were lovely. Prepare to eat the Ethiopian way…the Ethiopian beer was very good too, I had the St George’s my wife had Hebetha beer. Both great.

Great place! Delicious food and beautifully decorated restaurant. Mains are a good size - I would maybe even share one. The side salads are smaller. For vegetarians there is only one option for the large dishes with injera, but it was very good. I will definitely be back.

The food here is incredible this is my partner and my favourite Ethiopian restaurant in London. I've eaten here three times now and have had the vegan platter each time, it never disappoints. There's a nice buzz to the restaurant but enough space between tables to not be distracted by other people's. The staff and owner are friendly and accommodating. Not many restaurants that are this consistently great!

Loved the vibe and the food was yummy. Really tasty and authentic. The c service was slow so that's the only thing but will go back because the people were lovely. If you are into a laid back atmosphere where people take their time to enjoy the food and life, go and visit. It's worth it.

Was well looked after, welcomed and had the menu explained to me perfectly. Food was very unique to me but was a great introduction to Ethiopian food and it felt fresh, healthy & tasty.

Wonderful. Some of the best and most authentic Ethiopian food in London. The misir wot, the shiro, the alecha and the awaze lamb tibs should be triedm The staff were very friendly and attentive, but didn't make us feel rushed. They even sell their own cookbook! Thank you for a lovely meal!

Everything was amazing!! From the food to their service, Tafi was very welcoming and a great help in selecting traditional dishes and drinks for us to try. Definitely will be going again!

The food was very tasty and plentiful. Fast service - with friendly staff who were attentive to our needs. The decor is simple but creates a cool, intimate vibe. Our second visit here and we highly recommend.

An authentic experience! Fantastic service here at this hidden gem! Very authentic and delicious selection of food. The service is great and the staff are so welcoming from start to finish of your meal and extremely accommodating. They patiently explained the different options and suggested what would be best for us to try as first timers. Eating with your hands and getting stuck in was also part of the overall experience. Also such great portions and extremely reasonable prices!

Food is delicious every time, so warm and nourishing with that perfectly sour injera. Very generous portions, incredible value. And of course the lovely ladies that run the place!! Perfect spot for a relaxed dinner with friends :)

Tucked away in an unsuspecting place, this is food worth making the effort to reach. We had the special dish that showcases much of the menu but other dishes looked great too. The beer was decent. Prices are excellent for the top quality, flavour infused food. If you need your gill of Ethiopian food in London, just come here as you won’t be disappointed. Was fairly busy at 3pm on a Saturday so you know it’s going to be good when it can pull punters in at that hour.

Would 100% recommend Zeret. Beautiful music (Ethiopian jazz), mood, food and service. Having eaten at quite a few Ethiopian restaurants, I have to say Zeret is up there. We had the combination for 2 and also some lamb. Would definitely also recommend the bread dipped in butter and chili oil starter, the honey wine was also amazing, subtle and not too sweet! Decor and atmosphere was perfect, I reckon Zeret would be a good date spot while also having a wholesome cultural appeal. Service was also lovely, we felt very taken care of.

Insanely good, never tried Ethiopian food, the Ethiopian honey wine was so nice!!! Waiters were overall very hospitable. Some customers were very disruptive and loud but that’s not to the fault of the restaurant, just a note. Would love some music too.

El lugar es agradable y tranquilo. La comida es muy buena, especialmente las opciones vegetarianas. Hay que saber que, los platillos están servidos sobre una enorme tortilla (más como una crepa muy suave y extendida sobre un plato llano y grande) y no se usan cubiertos; se corta un trozo de la "tortillota" y se pellizca uno de los guisados y se come. Como mexicano he de decir que el picor de los platillos es muy soportable pero tengan cuidado con algunas ensaladas que tienen trozos de una especie de chile serrano que es EXTREMADAMENTE enchiloso. Así que fíjense y con cuidado. El precio de los productos es bastante normal y la atención de los empleados es muy buena. Lo recomiendo mucho y volvería sin problemas.

Food: It was our first foray into Ethiopian cuisine and me and my friend both felt that it made a solid impression on us. The starter bread was also really good and it was a good spice level. Unfortunately, after finishing the bread and having the platter, my dinner guest ended up feeling a bit sick but we couldn't pinpoint the reason. Service: The waitresses there very attentive and good at their jobs! They seated us where we wanted to be as well which was a big plus! Atmosphere: Really good atmosphere overall! Everyone looked like they were having a wonderful experience!

As always, it is a pleasure to dine at Zeret Kitchen. They have the best Ethiopian food in London. Delicious food and excellent service. What more could you want?
