It's about 3 years since I last visited - pre covid and wow how it has changed. The outside space had been totally transformed with fountains and fairy lights. The little herb garden is full of flowers that you can see have been lovingly home grown, not bought from a garden centre for show. And that reflects the food too. A great selection of healthy vegan food with care taken to make it look good before you even taste it. Great friendly welcome without pretention. I defy anyone not to love the relaxing outside spaces. I am very pleased to once again give this little place a big rating.

I have often eaten at zen after a yoga or sound bath workshop and found that the food is delicious with plenty of choice and lots of advice to take home if your going to rustle something up yourself at home. Gluten and wheat free options are available to. ZEN has a laid back chill out atmosphere with alfresco dining for those summer breezy months and chill out couches inside for those who may want a little time on their own or a catch up with friends. A great place for business meeting. open weekdays and evening to. Very reasonably priced with great service to. Enjoy. LADYBUG

Visited Zen with my daughters for lunch as a birthday treat and it certainly was. I'd seen all the reviews and was eager to try it out. Well, I couldn't fault it. Friendly and welcoming with an extensive choice of vegetarian food cooked to order! The mushroom soup was not of the creamy clawing sort; it was a rich, fragrant peppery concoction like nothing I'd ever tasted before. We had three courses and two coffees each for three of us for £36. In a different league altogether with interesting combination dishes, a treat to the taste buds. A varied selection of teas and coffees and homemade cakes and bread. Very central being opposite the leisure centre and rail station. Well worth a visit even for meat eaters.

I'm not vegetarian but it doesn't bother me to eat vegetarian. However it does limit who I can take with me as some of my friends will only eat meat. For my part it is a lovely place with great atmosphere and relaxed informal dining. Great attention to detail and presentation though it is basically home cooking style. I have visited the therapy centre that it is attached to before for several things (they have lots of talks and things) and it is just what was needed to make a great hoistic experience and a great place for talks. Sorry to learn I missed the cholesterol talk.

A beautiful warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. I found lots of interesting up and coming events being held here. The food was healthy and delicious; salads, soup and herbal tea. The prices are excellent value for money. I strongly recommend this place. I will be back time and time again.

A relaxing cosy corner. this is a small cafe witha big friendly atmosphere. You can choose to sit with the bhudda in the settee area or at tables or in the walled garden and even in front of the cafe that is set back from the street under a veranda. We sat inside. You ae encouraged to relax and take it easy and the staff are very friendly and will chat to you. the food is imaginative and good value for money. As it's part of a therapy centre the emphasis tends to be on healthy food so lots of salads - I had a plater of salad and my friend had thick delicious soup.

We visited at lunch time and were impressed by the choices of where to sit in this small cafe. I mean there was a little walled garden to the side, room at the front under the verander but inside was fantastic with a high Bhudda plaque and comfy settees around it or hand painted tables. The kitchen was open plan so that you could see inside and looked clean and tidy. Everything was made freshly upon requesting your choice from the menu. My friend had soup and it was thick and home-made - really delicious and I had a plate of different salads. The price was right. Best of all was the friendly welcome we got. One of the owners is a nutritonal therapist so was happy to take the time to discuss some questions I had about diet and nothing was too much trouble. Be sure to take a peek in the toilets not only clean but entertaining. I will definately be dragging some more friends in for an evening meal.

An amazing dining experience at Roots in Ramsbottom. We opted for the wine flight to accompany each course too. The whole evening was fantastic; food, wine, ambience and service!

Very spoilt for mothers day and belated 60th birthday presant. The staff were very attentive especially Peter, who kept my wine glass full. A special shout out to Simon the train driver who kept the train steady with no spilled gravy.
