Zari in Flintshire

Visited in my own for a mid week treat. A couple of families in but generally quiet. Lots of take aways going out though. Very warm welcome to the restaurant which was warm and comfortable The food was delicious and made to the required heat spice. The four course early menu was well worth the money. So much food I took some home with me. Would definitely visit again

Went for our friends boys 21st birthday there was 30 of us and what a fab night ! Food was amazing prompt service although I do wonder how they managed it with so many all at once ! Staff so friendly , prices very reasonable ! Would definatly recommend to anyone !

Mister Ali and Miah are great hosts and chefs, always a warm welcome. The food is unbeatable in terms of quality and price. There’s a meal deal (check for details) at certain times and days, and with no licenced bar you can take your own alcohol, which helps customers make a saving on eating out. The bar does still offer soft drinks though. The menu is extensive, lots of chefs specials, plenty of variety. The restaurant is often fairly quiet, which is great for me and the people I go with, as I don’t like a school dinners racket tbh, when eating out. The main thing though of course is the food, and the quality is unsurpassable. Always fresh ingredients, top quality meats, and spices. All the breads and rices are very good, and the starters are superb. Highly recommended.

Terrible experience. Waited 30mins in an empty restaurant to be acknowledged and longer to be asked for drinks. All soft drinks were flat and when we asked we were told 'what do you want us to do about it no they're not'. One staff member doing everything and not friendly at all. Depressing environment. Special family meal, should have gone somewhere else!!!

Order arrived. I could have swam in the amount of oil in the curry. It would have been okay otherwise. Definitely need to reduced the amount of oil.

My eldest grandaughter Nemo (Nia), is off to Uni in Birmingham on Saturday. Twenty of us, differing generations, gathered at Zari to wish her good luck. We have a lot of family history with Miah and his staff. Miah did us proud. The food and service was excellent. Everyone chose from the menu, and there were no complaints. I had lamb/chicken Pathia with 2 parathas, absolutely delicious. Nemo had her first curry at Zari (6 months, thanks Uncl Al) and has had numerous curries since. Thank you again Miah for a great evening.

Chef Ali never fails to please, he’s a really great cook and always looks after us, he even gets to serve us occasionally, as throughout Lockdown, their takeaway business geared up a notch. As we like to dine in early though, we often have a quite and very comfortable delicious meal. We like the new BYO (dinks) style also. I can totally recommend the amazing quality and value of the Zari.

Never had a bad meal from this place. Been having deliveries and eating in at this restaurant since day 1 and will continue forever! The food is fresh and the portions are great! Thank you miah, and all the staff.

Great tasty food. Good quality and generous portions. Fresh ingredients and made to suit taste. (Made our passanda madras hot to request ) Fast delivery and excellent friendly customer service. Would definitely order again

I ordered a takeaway for my birthday treat.whoever I spoke on phone was asking me €17.50 even though it did not come to that and I said the early bird offer is £13.50 which he eventually agreed to.after30 min.overdue (I only live a mile away) I ra g a d said the delivery driver could not find house even though my phone number was given !They said they would reheat it and I said I'm not paying for reheated food so I was told I could have it for half price which I agreed to .an hour late the guy turned ex up asked for full payment as his boss had overruled him !I should have said forget it but I was so hungry by that stage I reluctantly paid the full price !Never will I use the ZARI again .No apology ,no nothing !

Have never tasted such a delicious Prawn Curry....the prawns in their shells kept their moist texture and flavour. A delight and highly recommended. Shame there are yellow lines on the road directly outside, which precludes a sudden car stop....but a laybye nearby is worth pulling into...a brilliant menu at very affordable prices........especially if you catch their Early Bird menu. Friendly service from Peter added to a great night out with friends.

the quality and choice is very good but the english waiter/barman is a pain, always wanting to gab to you, he trys to hard.

We could not visit Zari to sit in the restaurant today, so I popped in for a takeaway. Miah the owner was welcoming as usual. I ordered out takeaway while drinking a cold bottle of 1664. I ordered mixed ta doori starter, cauliflower cheese side, lamb/chicken Haryali, a sli ach and mint dish. Also a garlic naan and pilau rice. My wife and I shared this at home. The portions were plentiful, and the meal delicious. Zari is a lovely welcoming restaurant.

Wow. What a hidden gem. A last minute decision to eat out led us here. The menu is not your usual 'seen it all before' menu but also has some great classics as well as fusions. The food was stunning and all our plates were emptied. Drinks were reasonably priced too. With 2 couples having starters, mains and a mix of proseccos, gins and beers the total bill was only £83!!!! See you again soon.

I organised a Charity evening on the 13th November in aid of Deeside Rotary.The evening was organised as a buffet. 30 people sat down for the meal and everyone enjoyed the food. There was a choice of 3 starters and 2 main courses plus a veg side dish.Poppadoms, naan bread and pilau rice completed our fayre.One of our chaps ordered an English main as he doesnt like Indian food. I tempted him with the starters potato pakora and shish kebab which he thoroughly enjoyed. So all in all a good night was had by all and the Rotary charities will benefit from any funds raised. A big thank you to Miah, Ali, Peter and their staff

We love coming here, everyone is so nice, they always remember us and what we like. The food is delicious, In our opinion it's the best Indian around Such value for money especially the early bird, can't go wrong with 4 courses for £12.95

This is my regular curry house. just been reading the negative reviews and I disagree with all of them. The currys are spicy and very tasty. I think I have tried all of them on the menue so far. early bird menue is very good value and can't be beaten. canned beer is the only fault with this place. You can't please every one.jef and pearl (jefs lawnmowers)

We have been visiting this restaurant for a number of years now and it offers super food, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere with very reasonable prices. It us child friendly and many of the staff have been there a while now and you are always greeted nicely. The curries are lovely and the naan breads and poppadoms are gorgeous!

We have visited Zari a number of times. The friendly staff and good value food keeps bringing my wife and I back.

Good food, prices reasonable. Service very good. Decor and environment fine.Was quiet on an early Sunday evening.

A restaurant we use on a regular occasion and also the takeaway service. The food is always cooked to the highest standards. We have never had a bad meal hear or delivered! Huge portions, fresh and full of flavour. This restaurant is a must if you enjoy your food. Don't take my word for it though. Try it for yourself, you won't be disappointed!

2 takeaway curries, prawn bhuna and chicken tikka rogan josh, both watery, little meat and absolutely no spice to either - it was like eating prawn stew, quite horrible, most thrown away. Rice ok and so were naans - poppadoms tasted of stale oil. Won't be using again

Visited here for a family tea. Food was of excellent quality and staff were very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back in the near future

First time that I'd used these guys - Sunday opening hours being more favourable than the rest. Food was very good and the delivery driver was something else!! He was very well dressed and very well spoken - bit like having Parker from Thunderbirds at your door! Will definitely order again.

Ordered two types of chicken Tikka but the meat was brown and the rice was decent, pashwari nan was decent also

Was an hour for delivery, plus 30 mins late. If they had called to advise would have been better.

Had a lamb madras with pilau rice as a weekend treat. It was very nice, the meat was tender and the sauce was spicy! This is vindaloo-hotat other places, so be warned. I would recommend this place, and will use it again.

Lovely fresh tasty food and plentiful. Only negative was I asked for delivery at 18.00 at it arrived at 5.15

Chips were cold and awful look and tasted disgusting but everything else was delicious

Lovely food from here. We had the set meal for 2. Normally I don't bother eating the lamb kofta that comes with the starter as it's usually incredibly dry. This one was lovely. We've definitely found our Indian of choice!

Ordered from your own App this evening as I was told to by your delivery driver last time. Ordered the chicken tikka biryani option along with other items but unfortunately no chicken tikka biryani came! I was left with pieces of chicken tikka, a portion of pilau rice and what I think was a massala sauce. I phoned to explain and was told I had ordered a chicken tikka main (which it does say on the email). I went back on the app adamant I had ordered a biryani and to check what it shows as when you select the option and yes when you select chicken tikka biryani it just shows as chicken tikka on the order?? I don't see how this is my fault and was offered only an apology to compensate. Your app definitely needs looking at!

Away on business i always try a curry house. i was disapointed by Zari Indian Restaurant as it had good reviews.. I had naga chicken. 6 pieces of chicken in a thick sauce. That was it.. poor quality Naga as it did not have the smell and taste you usually have with a naga. portion poor. Naga poooooor and would not recommend. another lost mentioned the pints of cobra flowing.. Fistly no pints and secondly £3:30 for a small bottle is expensive.. Would not reccomend or return.

Poppadoms and chutneys to start , any starter off the menu and any main dish off the menu , unlike other which are selected only , then a wide selection of rices or nanns etc followed by icecream or irish coffee , great tasting food , served in a pleasent atmosphere , well worth a visit

No poppadoms delivered with the meal but got charged for them meal not as nice as last time we ordered

We had a lovely meal, the staff are great and the atmosphere is so friendly. We had Christmas day lunch there this year and it was outstanding. The prices are brilliant too.

Called in on Saturday night for a meal with my wife. Not been for a while but we were not disappointed. Early bird meal deal is a must. Great value and nice food. No rush and a pleasant atmosphere . Can't wait to return. Jef and pearl.

very late delivery, nearly 45 mins late. food was luke warm on arrival. rang restaurant and was told that there was nothing they could do about it. bearing in mind I had ordered by 6pm!

We have been ordering food from Zari for a two years now and we never go elsewhere for our Indian Takeaway. The quality of the food, the service from the staff and the delivery is always fab and on time and in most cases earlier than the said delivery time. Its always the food we ordered, never had a mistake and it's always piping hot on arrival. Great service and I 100% recommend.

Would usually order from ambia but wanted to try somewhere different. Much much better! I quite a wuss and don't like spicy food, my korma was made beautifully and was sweet and creamy.

The chips we received where saturated in grease they went straight in the bin. My saag dish was mostly dry, no sauce and bland no heat at all. Both the naan breads were under cooked on 1 side making them wet and inedible. I had no cheese in my cheese naan. I ate a few fork full and the rest was binned. I will not order from here again. I can accept an 80% OK take away but this was a very poor meal.

To be fair, ive never had a bad meal from Zari, either eat in or takeaway but on this occasion, I was really disappointed with delivery service. Ordered meal at 6.45pm, informed delivery for 8pm. Didn't arrive til well after 8.30pm and was cold and despite repeated attempts I also was unable to get any answer when I rang. To be fair, it probably won't stop me from ordering from there again because the quality of the food is great but I will have to rethink that idea if I have to wait that long next time!

Took hour and half to be delivered and food was cold on arrival.

Tried this place for the first time this week and unfortunately everything was tasteless - really disappointing. Service was great though and delivery guy was really polite. Overall the food just had very little taste and we won't be going back because of this.

Visited Chester and looked for somewhere too eat near our hotel, found this place through Google and decided to go with it as it was open early. Easy to find right on the main road with plenty of on street parking. Walked in and the place was empty, we were made to feel welcome and seated. The service was great and even though we were the only guest in it didn't feel like we were, the food was really good hot and full of flavor, I would highly recommend this place couldn't fault the service or the food.

Great food!! Order was expected for 20:05 and it arrived 10 mins late but I wasn't bothered by this at all, still thought the food arrived in great time for a bank holiday Saturday with the first episode of the new series of X Factor on.

Delivered before the estimated time food was piping hot

Went with 40+ others to a charity night buffet at Zari's. The whole evening exceptionally well. The buffet food was of high quality and plenty to eat. The starters; popadoms, chicken tikka, Bombay potatoes and onion bhaji. Mains chicken tikka masala, chicken and chick pea curry with nann and rice, were all very tasty, aromatic and really very good. All washed down by plenty of wine and cobra. A great evening. Thank you.

The Nan bread wasn't cooked properly and they forgot the rice not impressed £35 is a lot for a takeaway that wasn't complete or cooked properly
