Zak's Kebabs in Conwy

New self-order system. Ordered a chicken doner and chips and can of cold drink. When eventually called forward to collect my meal I asked for some sauce (as standard in kebab shops) and was told I needed to pre-order sauce on the kiosk, I made it clear that the kiosk did not supply this option when ordering a meal but instead you could order sauce as a “side dish” for a premium of £1 which was silly for a splodge of sauce, I made it clear that I’d not received my drink as ordered and the staff suggested that I take the sauce ‘for free’ and forgo my drink which I had paid for. Shocking service, think they have had an order system forced upon them but don’t have the common sense to use it properly. Terrible service will not be going back

Food was ok however person serving didn't speak very good English so ordering was quite difficult

Spent £30 online through just eat and didn't receive it.

Went there after 147 guy behind the counter was raging already waited 20 minutes for food one item finally came, I asked where’s the rest and gave him my receipt, he went back came back with no answer, I asked again and he said where is your receipt to which I’d already given him tried explaining it to him and he kicked me out took my money got no food, horrible place was disgusting food on floor anyway do not go

Just had a meal from here absolutely rubbish… will not ever go here again ….. and I am a local…. Of which I am telling anyone don’t go here

Disgusting, dry cold food. Don't waste your money.

Ordered 2 Donor kebabs stated with salad, cheeseburger with trimmings and pizza. Donors were awful no salad and was so thin there was no taste was like eating fried potato skins. Disgusting. Burger had no salad. Rang back straight away to complain was told they had no drivers to send replacement. Told to ring back next day. Well I did but spoke to manager Who tryed to say I was the only person who as complained about his kebabs. And I should have stated that we wanted salad even though it's says comes with salad and dressing. Please see menu for yourself in picture I have put on here plus picture of the state of the kebabs. Would not refund or send replacement. Don't order from here. The attitude of the manager was totally unacceptably. Will be reporting to food standards.

Great place to get a quick takeaway. The owner I presume Zak is not the friendliest person but seemed to understand my allergy to seafood and fish but did not seem to be taking us seriously at first. The kebab was way better than expected and was loaded with meat and salad and a wonderful tasting. We asked them to cut it in half a first for Zac. The fries were hot and crunchy. A most get the garlic bread it was so tasty. Definitely stop the food is good and and 2 plastic tables are available to eat there.

Very rude management and poor service

Rubbish customer service, very rude management, the food quality is not good at all. I spenr £90 and when I complained about the service instead of apology and promise to better their service the manger told me that you people always complain. I don't know what he meant by YOU PEOPLE. I will never go there again and will not respond it to anyone.

Food was cold and over priced they need to clean the benches outside they was filthy. I would not recommend.

Every time we visit Llandudno we go here after a night out, good choice on menu.

Meal a bit skimpy, overall. We can't live on air and a misleading justest order confirmation!. Atmosphere was pretty dead - empty, dark inside, no staff, door looked which is a tad unfriendly. Service literally non-existent, as for value, depends if we get our refund. Shame as my partner was quite excited about the kebab in garlic bread. Garlic Bread! I've seen it (not from here, not wrapped round kebab), it's the future!

This is the best kebab shop in llandudno hands down. I can only imagine that the people who wrote the bad reviews on here are fake profiles. I've never had a bad experience,and I've been going here for years.

Excellent I come here nearly everyday. And it is the best takeaway i have ever had. I do reccomend. Chips are lovely garlic bread really nice and the staff are nice. Very friendly

Awful. The worst kebab ever. Overcooked chicken and raw onions with some chilli sauce. Never ever again. I’d rather go without. Shut your shop down save us all the hassle. Disgusting !!!

ordered a garlic bread, chicken and sweetcorn pizza and chips witha small amount of ketchup. The garlic bread was at least half an inch thick and no taste, the pizza they had put spiced chicken- think it was tandoori on and again at least an inch thick and the chips were inedible with that much ketchup on,pizza was ruined by the chicken they used, if i had wanted spicy chicken i would have ordered spicy checken. will not be retuning.

Visited last week as me and the partner fancied some chips and cheese. The man was rude when taking our order, but we got the food rather fast, didnt think anything of it. Sat on the beach and realised he had gone next door and gave us chippy chips that where cold, bad and tasted absolutely disgusting. The food went straight in the bin where it belonged. Wouldn't recommend!!

Pita kebab in plastic bag no nana

The bald man behind the counter spoke very rudely and made it very hostile environment - terrible customer service. I saw the cook rub his sweaty dirty armpits then sniff his hands then proceed to handle the food - dirty bugger. The owner showed absolutely no remorse for these actions - shame on you zak

Wait was 25mins and kebab was cold and over cooked. Salad was dry and not fresh. Service was bad man very rude and abrupt when I asked for tomatoes please .Go next door, cannot get any worse than Saks kebabs.

I asked for dubel meat for one kebab and they fuk ed US dubbel price for same size kebab we paid 16 fakin Marks for 2 kebaba and it was not even good just avoid this place

Waited so long for 2 pieces of chicken & curry sauce & chips ! Guy kept saying 1 minute, 1 minute. Never again ! Awful food when I did arrive

Absolutely terrible .Ordered 2 chicken kebabs ,both came with no salad ,even though I had asked for salad .The nan bread was burnt and uneatable .The chicken was just tasteless .These are new onwers and have hiked up all the prices ,this was classed as a medium kebab but was tiny .Most of both meals went in the bin .This is such a shame as the previous owners , provided excellent food and cheap .I have read a few reviews now about this takeaway and it seems like I am not the only one who has had issues .Just go else where ,do not waste your money .

Terrible food, chicken kebabs burnt and bread was hard and burnt. No salad, only realised when got home, would never go back. Went straight in the bin, my advice would be to avoid it.

Went here last night. Ordered two kebabs. Whilst cooking, the man, in dirty jogging bottoms and sweatshirt, wiped his nose on his sleeve. The other man working there constantly stroked his beard by the food they were preparing. The place is filthy inside and out. Threw my food straight in the bin when I returned home!

medium donor with nan bread it says..was looking forward to it..when it came it was a pitta bread I explained this to the guy serving..was not interested, I said you cant advertise one thing then serve another, expensive for what it was, and please don't insult my intelligence I do know the difference between nan and pitta.

We ordered a takeaway this evening, and used Zaks. As a family we have ordered from there frequently but this evening we have been disgusted with the service and the quality of food. We ordered our takeaway at 7.10pm and was told it would take half an hour. 2 hours later after several calls of chasing it arrived, I complained and said I was refusing to pay full price for a meal that was so late, we had lost our appetite waiting, also advised we had children waiting for the meal, the manager apologised and said they had been extremely busy, I did say they should have contacted us if they couldn’t fulfil the order, and agreed to charge us half price. When we opened the takeaway we were disappointed further, with one meal missing, (chicken kebab)pizzas over cooked and dry after being left standing in a hot oven no doubt, one of the chefs special missing 2 out of the 4 meats, and the other chef special missing doner meat. Food was dry and over cooked. Won’t be returning for a takeaway again. In hindsight wish we had told the manager when he delivered to stick his order, most of it has gone in the bin.

I went in yesterday after I couldn't find any chip shops open and one of my favourite kebab places in llandudno was shut until febuarary so I went here. I should of carried on walking.. £5.50 is the normal price of a chicken kofta kebab, a chicken kofta kebab normally comes on a pitta or naan with salad and sauce. Firstly,I was given a small portion tray when I paid for a medium. Secondly, after walking a few meters down the street I realised how light the tray felt, opened it up and saw 5 pieces of charcoaled chicken on the smallest pitta I've ever seen. After travelling by coach for 4 hours I was hungry and not in the mood to be messed around with, especially when it comes to food, I like my food! So I went back in and said that can't be what I paid for, there's no salad or sauce. I want lettuce, onions and garlic mayo please and the guy serving didn't look impressed but quickly tossed a few leaves on top of my kebab with a squit of something that didn't taste like garlic mayo. Obviously scrannned it on the beach as I was too far gone without food and just grateful for what I had (I did want to mention the small tray I got instead of a medium but maybe they will see honest reviews and change!) Thirdly, no flavour. Just tasted like charcoal chicken, I could of bought a barbie and done my own on the beach! (Not serious as I'd of got blown to bits and it's bad on environment but still)

Awful awful awful , treated me and my partner to a kebab from here as we always do, the staff that used to work here where amazing no faults with them, but the new staff are rude, when we had our delivery the pizza was burnt and the mozzerlla sticks where inedible, so I phoned them up and told them this and the rude man on the phone said he couldn’t do anything,no apology or offer to sort the problem , he just said “ I can’t do nothing” , if that’s was me I would offer a discount next time we order , we spent £26 which was wasted as we couldn’t eat half the order , I will not be returning after the awful food and awful customer service , bring back the old zaks staff

Not good. Food was cold. Went to Kings next door. Much better.

New ownership again. Absolute dogshite. Dont bother. Product different from menu and use security to ask you to leave if mistakes are challenged. Will never use again and will advise people accordingly.

Just had a delivery and was all wrong, and paid over£10 Was missing kebab meat and cheese on the chips won't go there again

Went there while visiting and we got our little girl a small pizza. Had to go back next night for a large one as it was so good. He even gave my little girl a fruit shoot while we was waiting. Great food and great service

I use to love this kebaby but since new owners have taken over its terrible. 3 times ive been over charged. The most recent was today. Will not be using again

Had the chicken and lamb donner mixed with large chips and loads of chilli and garlic sauce delivered. Always fast service and some of the best donner meat I had. Certainly better than Bay Grill.

Got a mixed grill kebab and a beef curry late evening on a Saturday. It was fairly busy but the staff were both friendly and efficient. The meat and naan was cooked perfectly and the kofte pieces were really good. The beef in the curry was cooked just right and the sauce was good for what is basically a takeaway cafe. Plenty of seating inside and out so a good place to stop off when you are wandering around Llandudno.

Decent kabab, not the cleanest place ive visited, but the staff were friendly and the food was good, and very reasonable prices.

Muchos platos sabrosos a precios bajos y ofertas de comida de valor familiar. Recomiendo especialmente kebabs de cordero con ajo, chile dulce o salsa de ají picante. Muy decepcionado. Pedí dos kebabs en una niñera con ensalada. El tipo era amable y el lugar estaba limpio y ordenado, pero pusieron la ensalada en el fondo de una bandeja, luego la carne de donner en la parte superior de la ensalada y luego un pan de pita en la parte superior de la carne. No era una niñera como se le había pedido, y en vez de la carne y la ensalada de donner dentro de la pitta / nann, todo fue simplemente arrojado a la bandeja por separado, cerrado y envuelto. La carne de Donner era muy dura y sabía menos. La pitta era dura como la piedra, pero la ensalada era agradable y fresca? Sería claro y no malgastes tu dinero y tu tiempo. Nunca más. Ambos kebabs terminaron en el contenedor. Vergüenza.

Cost was way too much for what we received, quality of food was below standards in my opinion. Then was up all night with a bad stomach(not sure if the food caused this) I'd never visit again.

Lovely seafood pizza and nice people

Estaba deseando compartir un doner kebab en el paseo marítimo con la otra mitad para completar una gran noche en el último día de nuestro descanso de fin de semana. Pidió un gran doner kebab con una muy pequeña cantidad de ajo mayonesa y salsa de chile. Cuando abrimos la caja estaba empapada de salsas, no había un pitta empapado en pan plano y frío como una piedra. Fue verdaderamente el kebeb más horrible que hemos tenido. Bueno, yo digo que sí! En realidad entró en el contenedor.

El personal fue muy amigable. Fuimos con la oferta de kebab, que fue una gran relación calidad-precio. Era demasiado comida para dos (pero comimos de todos modos porque era muy agradable). Había dos kebabs con ensalada, dos porciones de patatas fritas y dos bebidas. Hubo algunos asientos donde se sentía cómodo para disfrutar de nuestras comidas.

I have visited Zacks for many years and have always received top quality service with a friendly attitude. I recommend anyone who loves a nice kebab to give them a try.

Always a place to eat from when we stay in Llandudno. Usually go for the chicken kebab of cheeseburgers and always great quality and well made. Had pizzas from here at times too and excellent value and quality too.

Myself and my wife visited here last week after we had been out, At £7 pound odd for a large doner and chips I would of certainly expected at least some kind of pitta bread or in some cases even a nan bread, when I got back to my room, all I had was a small white tray with a layer of chips and just enough doner meat to cover them, guys if your not sure what people have ordered just check again with the customer, we don't mind, don't guess, because that what I think you did in this case, in saying that my wife's pizza was ok which we shared, sorry cant review well on this after this service

Mi pareja y vaya aquí la mayoría de las noches de la semana y conseguir lo mismo, 12' carne de ternera picante fiesta de Pizza sin. El hombre joven hace la pizza encantadora, por desgracia la mujer que realiza nuestra pizza esta noche poner casi ningún coberturas en la pizza. Por £10 normalmente nos dan una pizza con un montón de ingredientes, algo que en realidad masticar. Por desgracia, esta noche no recibir esto.

Pizza llegó fría pero era agradable y la climatizada una vez hamburguesas eran normales. Ojalá nos hubiéramos esperado una hora para nuestra habitual para llevar abierta, aunque. . .

Un básico, directamente a la clase punto de comida para llevar. Hamburguesas, pescado y patatas fritas, pizzas, pollo, etc., para la venta. La comida estaba bien, caliente a la llegada. El servicio estaba bien también.

Staff great food OK owner not all there read the reviews like a duck squeeked when he walked worked there but not worth doing 2 hours was hoping do 3 nights but he had someone doing Wednesday so thought OK always had to deal with kick offs inside made me pay for my food which not normal if you work there gave my notice since then 5 months later been barred hence this review owner not all there in head and very rude ......

Went there with friends on Saturday after being in town, the staff so abusive and abnoxious and the food was incorrect order, when asked to change was manhandled out of the establishment!, avoid at all costs .......

Can't fault the Staff in here but the food is awful! The doner meat was hard and cold and was thrown in the bin, The chips were greasy and the salad limp...won't be going here again in a hurry!!!

We went for tea on the Tuesday evening. The staff were friendly and the food was lovely. We ate in. My hubby and I had chicken kebab and chips and daughter had pizza. It didn't take long for the food to be cooked and it was lovely and hot. Would go again.

4 of us ordered asked for a 1/4 pounder with lettuce onion and mayo it came plain nothing on it at all asked for a garlic bread no cheese as my gf doesn't like cheese and it came with cheese orderd another 1/4 pounder cheese burger with salad and tomato sauce no cheese on it and way too mutch tomato sauce, sisters brother had a donna kebab half of it was black burnt!!! Looked like it was chewed and spat back out again!!!! am a local and will be warning everyone in the future not to touch the place!!!!!!

Living in the area we normally go here for food on the way home after a night out. I purchased chips and cheese and the chips were hollow and full of grease, the taste was grease and nothing else. I went back to the counter and told them they were not right and explained why, for the staff to offer them to the security bloke on the door and offer no refund! I know this would not have happened had Zak have been there himself, your staff were rude and in no way bothered about customer service. Will go to the kebab house next door from now on!!! Avoid like the plague!!! Even the chips my sister bought were thrown in the bin and her pizza uncooked.

A bit too spicy for anyone. Not very yummy. Not posh. Very doner type run down kind of environment. They're honest about what's halal and what's not which is great. Avoid if u can.

Went past as it was last and was feeling very hungry, went for a mixed meat kebab. All in all it was a typical kebab basically, they all seem to look and taste the same, at least I know what to expect anyway.

Always open late on a weekend, fast service aswell. Great for a kebab or a pizza after closing time in the local bars.

Awful service. Ordered a pizza. Order given to someone else. They then complain and im interrigated by a security guard. They then moan that the person next to me hasnt given them a ticket. I had my ticket. Yet they give my pizza to someone else. No sense. And i was accused of giving the staff a headace with my moaning. I was told that my order was given away. But im not allowed to be a bit annoyed. Not angry. Not shouting. Just unhappy.

Ordered my tea for my wife and two sons was told to pick up in 15 minutes.went to pick up 20 minutes later and when I went in the I saw he had only just put my food on the griddle!!!! I said I have made a telephone order 20 minutes ago!!! The bloke shouted into the back telephone order, a bkoke popped his head round with a face full of food and said its there on the griddle 15 minutes!!!!!!! I said to the bloke I ordered so I wouldnt have to wait and your telling me another 15 minutes!!!! I cant believe how just laid back he was, I walked out and told him to stick his food, I was planning on getting my food and sitting up on the orme with the wife and kids. I phoned zacs up when I left explained I ordered food as I had two small children so I wouldnt have to wait, the man said ..... sorry Boss I am not the the Boss, to be fair it was him that took the order but he must of passed it to the bloke who was stuffing his face in the back. I wont be going here again.

Hands down...I love Zaks. I think the people who have written these bad reviews expect fine dining. Don't go in drunk or with an attitude and you'll get all smiles and good conversation. Being from Amsterdam I know the difference between good and bad donner. And Zaks has darn good donner. I was surprised to see a naan in the box instead of a pita, but the difference made a nice change. Good garlic sauce too. Not eye watering, and not too tame. Just right. The service is impeccable. Very friendly people. Yesterday I had the donner, today I had the meat feast pizza, and both times I had no complaints. Two thumbs up from the Amsterdam guy fellas!

Went there b4 I went.home after a stay in llandudno people where very rude food tasted awfull only eat a little of it few hours later a was rushing to toilet which lasted all night NEVER AGAIN

Stopped off after a night in the pubs for a pizza. Excellent toppings. 10 out of 10. Went back to the hotel and had a late supper in the room watching the sea roll in from the storms

By far the worst kabab i have ever had and that is really saying something. Everything from taste to service was poor, and needless to say i will not return no matter how many ales i have consumed. Also, there is no way all the reviews on here are genuine. Zaks, come on people arnt stupid.

On the way home from working I thought I'd pop into Zaks on the way home. After the staff giggled at me trying to open the door I ordered a pizza. As soon as I had ordered it felt that I was in the middle of an "in joke".Got the pizza and came home. It was disgusting. Never again.

On a recent session in llandudno we visited zaks twice in one day.Chicken and chips in the afternoon and chefs special at night.Iwould admit that we were a little worse for ware in the evening ,but we ate it all.As i have said in past reviews zaks is the best and allways our first port of call.

llandudno is lacking in a good central kebab shop, this one is really disappointing. Looking at previous reviews some of doesn't seem genuine. The service is poor (even during quiet times) and the food isn't nice, apart maybe from the chicken which is let down by the salad and stale pitta. I would avoid.

What a waste of money! Worst mixed kebab I've ever eaten. Stay away if u value your stomach! Meat was like leatherette!

We used the kebab shop twice during our visit - the food was really nice but the service was quite differing - different people serving each time, and a trainee working who was struggling to make a kebab! Good value and tastes, just be prepared for the service to be a bit steady....

So good to see that other people love the delights of the great zak.We will soon get this emporium of gastronomic delight to number one in llandudno.Will be back in ludo in august along with four keebab monsters,you can guess where we will be going .Great people of llandudno, support zaks letts get him to number one.

I always have the chicken kebab with sweet chilli sauce and loads of salad at £3.50..a portion of chips at £1.20...Where else can you get a lovely meal at a reasonable price...I love it!

called in here on a friday night,i spoke to the new owner who assures me that zaks wiil continue to provide the best takeaway experiance in north wales .We tried a special keebab it was good.Zak still the best in britain

With all the current nonesense about horse meat in burgers and keebabs it is good to know that zak only uses the best cuts. how refreshing that the great zak,can find these special cuts and still provide a top tasting gem every time.We love you zak ,keep up the great work.
