Zada Restaurant in South Kesteven

I would love to be able to review the actual food but unfortunately after 3 hours and multiple phone calls it did not arrive until 30 minutes after we called and cancelled and started cooking....

We’ve just had a takeaway from Zada. Oh my goodness I’m am blown away!! It was absolutely delicious and the portion sizes were incredibly generous. Thank you for a lovely meal! We will be ordering again!

Hubby and I had a takeaway from our favourite restaurant in Stamford and was as good as eating in! Great service, great food and we look forward to dining in again after the lockdown has ended.

So in a bid to support local restaurants we have been ordering takeaways as we can't eat in due to covid and knowing things would be tough for them..we used to eat in regular at Zada and it was pretty good.So after paying £90 for a takeaway for New Years eve. (yes £90!) We waited 2 hours despite pre ordering that afternoon so we gave them a few hours for the orderDelivery hadn't arrived 2 hours after we had asked it for, we assumed they were very busy. When we called they had totally forgot our order (despite us already paying the £90)Food arrived another 40mins later. No rice on any dishes, food very dry and tough.Complained and the owner said he would arrange a voucher. Nothing happened, we messaged in face book twice,no answer, called, told someone would call back, no contact.We now find ourselves putting a bad review sadly, they seriously need to start looking after the local customers. It will be a long time till we visit again, and will NEVER trust them with takeaways again. Too expensive for the risk, lots of other excellent takeaways locally at a fraction of the price. Must do better.

This is 100 percent a must try restaurant, I am without a doubt a foodie I dont eat to live I live to eat and this restaurant was one of, if not the best food ive had in my life! Can't recommend enough.

Food is gorgeous, tasty and juicy meat, portions are very big guys, be please careful with ordering something extra for sharing, because later it will be a problem to manage all that food. Service nice and friendly, simple cafe, nothing extraordinary but food is very nice, big thanks.

My husband and I LOVE Zada! The food is delicious and the staff are always really friendly. We have eaten in a couple of times before lockdown and had take away twice since. They give the most humongous portions so some is saved for lunch the next day. I recommend this place to everyone.

Placed an order with Zada, ordered a yavash special menu for ONE at 5:40pm. It arrived half an hour late at 7:07pm.Delivery driver comes to the door, with no apology for being late, I hand over £40 as I've ordered the meal deal for ONE at £36.95 tell him to keep the change. He then tells me it's £71.... I've then said I've ordered for one person how does that work, not to mention your late? He then goes on to tell me that that dish is for a minimum of two. Ok, no where on the menu does it state that its for a minimum of two. And also I requested on the phone that it was for ONE! So now I'm sat here with no food. A very disappointing experience considering I've just moved to the area and was excited to try your supposedly delicious food. The member of staff I spoke to on the phone clearly needs to brush up on his knowledge of the menu or listen to what the customer is saying. Even better update your menu and state that its for two persons. And not per person. I will not come back to your restaurant or be recommending you to anyone. Good day.

Booked a surprise meal for my self & my long suffering girlfriend, the food was incredible service great just too much food, we went for the set menu, the bread was incredible all dips were super tasty & the calamari & Halumi were to die for! Had the Shish lamb & chicken which was melt in the mouth amazing.

So happy we were able to visit Zada again before the second lockdown it was so lovely, amazing service and food! Highly recommend the mix sheesh for main too and the baklava for dessert too! The portion size is so good too! 10/10 - a must visit in Stamford!

The food was incredibly delicious. My friends and I really enjoyed our meal. The staffs are lovely and the place is cozy. We were seating by the windows. The place was busy so it’s better if you book A table. We will definitely coming back.

We've been meaning to try Zada or for so long as it always smells amazing when you walk past, we went for the first time last night and it was everything we hoped for. The restaurant was busy and had a great energy, the staff were quick and helpful. Service was a little slow but it was a busy Friday night, and honestly when you eat the food you forgive the wait! Huge portions off deliciousness... Can't wait to go back!

First visit here and would definitely recommend it to others. The food was delicious and portion sizes are not for the faint hearted! The staff were friendly and helpful despite the restaurant being full and very busy.

Went this week first time, incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Great food and great value. Would recommend consulting staff on portion sizes as you are likely to order too much, but you can always take home what is left as you will not want to let it go to waste.

First visit on a busy Friday night, service slow at times which is understandable but food great quality and great value. Can’t wait to come and try something different soon!

Arriving in Stamford late evening, during a time of covid all restaurants were closing their doors and kitchens before 9 pm. As a family of four having been turned away from 6 local establishments, not only did this lovely restaurant bring us rice , bread and starters from the kitchen in takeaway containers. But they refused to let us pay for this kindness. The food was delicious, warm , subtly flavoured. And we will give this wonderful restaurant our full and committed custom again, as soon as we can . Thankyou so much.

Came for an evening meal on Tuesday. The atmosphere is great when you walk in and the staff are friendly and attentive the entire time of the visit. The menu had amazing variety, with many amazing things to choose from. The food was unbelievable! So tasty and good portion sizes too - lots of food! Would recommend to anyone looking for a lovely evening out.

What a lovely gem of a restaurant ! Covid friendly and hygienic, Zada offers good value Turkish food with delicious dips. The staff are on hand to make sure you feel welcome and comfortable. The lamb shish is not to be missed and the mixed meze starter included the best Baba ganousch I have ever had. Will definitely be back. 10/10 ....brb off for a food coma

Me and my friends visited Zada for a meal and we were blown away by the warm welcome and how pretty the restaurant was. Then the food arrived... and we were wowed! The portion sizes were amazing and the food was simply divine. The restaurant was very clean and Covid friendly, we checked in as we walked in and there was sanitiser and all tables were distanced. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and I will definitely be back soon! Thank you so much Zada for a lovely evening with amazing food and fab service!!

After calling & messaging & receiving confirmation via phone & email for a table reserved for 18:00 for a meal out during a break away for my 10th wedding anniversary (which I had mentioned), my name “wasn’t on the list” on our arrival...despite no apology for the mix-up & no mention of a congratulations, we were led to a spare table...not a great start & set the tone of things to come...Firstly, upon taking our order, I requested if I could swap 1 starter dish for another that wasn’t included on the “mixed meze” option we had chosen, adding that I didn’t mind paying more for the swap...to which I was bluntly told “no, it’s a fixed price”.The food arrived, & was very good, however we finished our drinks & no top up was offered. We decided we would like dessert & another drink to end the meal, but instead were presented with the bill when it wasn’t requested & told the table was needed & that we needed to leave & furthermore that “we should’ve asked if we wanted another drink or dessert.” After complaining at the prospect of being thrown off our table on our anniversary meal after just 1 hour & 15mins, we were shown to a dark table in the corner near the stacked empty glasses. Deciding we would just have a quick coffee & Turkish tea & dessert rather than another drink in response to our new less-than-desirable location, we were further disappointed to see we had still been charged full price for the coffee, tea & dessert...still with no apology.Shame as the food & decor was very pleasant, let down by the poor customer service.

Visited Zada for the very first time while staying in Stamford, as a 50th birthday surprise for my husband. The food was fantastic and large portions. The staff were very polite and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will certainly return. Well done Zada!

Amazing, stumbled on this gem of a restaurant walking around Stamford, although booked up the manager squeezed us in, then treated to the most wonderful meal and fantastic service, would highly recommend to anyone.

We had our first visit to Zada and I’m sorry to say we won’t be rushing back. We were a party of 4 and had prebooked a table. We ordered the set menu, meze platter, choice of main and desert.The waitress came back after we ordered and tried to tell us that deserts were no longer part of the set menu and if we wanted them we would have to pay more, I kindly pointed out we would have what was stated on the menu.The meze was served, bowls of hummus, taramasalata, tzatziki with one slice of cucumber per person, one slice of tomato and half a pitta bread. There was not enough accompaniments for the dishes. The dishes themselves were very lack lustre...akin to supermarket versions.Our main courses came, I had a lamb dish in tomato sauce, which tasted like a tin of tomato soup, there was hardly any lamb in the dish but what was there was over cooked, it was bulked out with mushrooms. My husband had a mixed shish, the chicken was very nice but again the lamb was over cooked and chewy. When the deserts came we were given a few slices of fruit, and 2 Turkish style deserts which were rather underwhelming. Then to finish off once we had finished eating, the waitress cleared our table whilst we were chatting and took the bottle wine which was just under half full! We complained and they did replace it, but it should not have been taken to begin with.We had such high hopes for our first visit to Zada but came away very disappointed.

Had the most amazing meal this evening. Service was great, restaurant was busy but staff smiling with their eyes as wearing masks. Decor is great .... definitely recommend this restaurant Portion sizes big .... most people leaving with doggie bags ...

This is my go to place for their incredible hummus and pita bread. The atmosphere is great and the service is sublime!

This was my second time eating at Zada and they did not disappoint. As a table we ordered a medley of different mezze platters and other starters to share. Loved every single plate/dip. Our entrees were just as delicious. On top of this the service was spot on. We never had to ask for a drink, food came out in great time, and dirty plates were quickly cleared as we devoured the food! Thanks again to the Zada staff for being so great and for using safe COVID protocols to keep us safe!

Go to this restaurant if you are hungry. Indeed, it would be best not to eat all day to prepare yourself.But don't go expecting a gastronomic treat. Nothing that we had was unpleasant, but much of the food lacked the tastiness and "zing" of the many other Mediterranean restaurants which I have enjoyed more than this one. I enjoyed the falafel best. At least they were crunchy.Service was a bit variable, too. One or two staff seemed to find out hard to make eye contact, let alone smile...

A day trip to Stamford, last minute booking and the best Turkish food we have eaten by far. Excellent staff and atmosphere. Definitely recommended and we’ll be back soon!!

Another fabulous evening here with my staff as a thank you for their support during the pandemic. The food here is always exceptional and the Zada staff are always very accommodating. Whether it’s a romantic meal for two or a slightly bigger party they accommodate you and your party extremely well. Great atmosphere

First time visitor to Stamford and TA reviews led us to Zada. Everything was perfect - attentive service, lovely decor and atmosphere and food was oh so tasty. Generous portions, well presented and reasonable prices. What's not to like... Can't wait to revisit sometime.

Returned to Zada to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday and it was an absolutely beautifull meal. From the moment we arrived until we squeezed ourselves out the door to go home we were treated like royalty! The staff - without exception - could not do enough for us, serving up gorgeous, perfectly prepared and presented food in what seemed like an endless stream of delights. The wonderful selection of dips and dishes in the mixed mezze was almost a meal in itself and the mixed grill provided enough protein for around a week. So good we booked up to return next week, just need to think of a new reason to celebrate now!

Looked for a recommendation for a good meal in Stamford on TA. Zada Came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Tried to get in Saturday but fully booked and we can see why. Choice, quality and service all excellent. The food was delicious and varied with lots of new flavours for us to try. The staff were lovely chatting to us about the food and ingredients even gave us some of the amazing garlic sauce to take away as a gift. Excellent atmosphere even on a Tuesday night. Price was good and reasonable for the quality and quantity of food we received. We Would highly recommend and definitely visit again. Thanks guys a great night!

The environment of Zada is very aesthetic, it’s a very classy restaurant perfect for a a date. The food is amazing and the presentation was also on par. The customer service was phenomenal and the prices were fair for the amount of food and quality you get! Definitively will be back!

This fantastic restaurant never fails. Friendly staff and fantastic food on all three occasions that I have had the pleasure to visit.

We arrived and were asked to queue outside for our table, no issue in the current climate, when inside we were seated at a table for 6 , we waited a while for any service , the restaurant was busy but all at a safe distance. We were then asked to move tables so they could seat another party , we were offered our first drinks for free as an apology for the inconvenience.On ordering the drinks, everything we asked for was upgraded glasses of wine where automatically offered into bottles, beers where turned into 2 bottles of beers.The order was then taken promptly and was delivered in good time. The food was outstanding and generous in size, all the food was flavourful and beautifully presented. The service from all was flawless and they made us feel as if we were at home. On hearing that it was an anniversary for some of our party we were then treated to baklava and home made turkish delights which were stunning. I cannot reccomend this place highly enough and cannot wait to go back .

I took my stunning wife to be here for a quick bite to eat. Was so surprised with the food and the host, he was witty, funny and great table manners. I shall be eating here again.

Lovely evening at Zada for my birthday with a group of friends. Great food, great drinks, great interior and we stayed in a cool ‘VIP booth’. All staff were wearing face masks and hand sanitizer on arrival - felt very safe. Thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting great food in a safe and friendly environment.

We love Zada so when our wedding was postponed we planned to have a lovely day out ending in Zada. Little did we know that my bridesmaids had been liaising with the staff to arrange a lovely surprise.When we arrived and got taken to our table, it was decorated with roses and confetti and they brought over prosecco paid for by my bridesmaids. They treated us like royalty and really made our evening special. The waiters were brilliant as was the food and at the end we found out my friends had paid for the meal.Thanks Zada for making what could have been an awful day so nice and special for us. It meant a lot xx

I can honestly say it’s a 10/10 restaurant, the service was excellent , staff were very friendly and the food was beyond good. Top Turkish restaurant, will 100% be back.
