Yummy Kitchen in Cardiff

Been coming to this takeaway for a number of years, but haven’t been of late due to being out of the country. I decided to try tonight and was disappointed to note that the chicken balls were pink instead the place now looks grubby and rundown. Will not return ever again.

Average at best, far better in the area. Chips were about the only decent part of the meal sadly. Curry was bland and the meat in the special curry left a lot to be desired.

Easily one of the best Chinese in the area, the staff lady is always nice and friendly plus the food is amazing. Fab!

Put a order in over £30 pound and was told only prawn crackers free over £60 pounds told them local Chinese take a away was only £20 for free crackers management was very rude won't ever use this place again, people avoid this Chinese 😡

Updated: 2022. They have barriers up and the staff are just as nice as ever, the food is still amazing and their tray deal is god tier. A Proper pogger.

Live the 4 in 1 tray deal here. Always good food. One of the staff there needs to smile more. But they are a friendly bunch

Well first visit the sign said only 3 customers at a time inside, good safety measure but we counted 5 and we just ended up walking away . No point sticking safety signs up I'd your not going to control them .

Great Chinese all the time, still hot even when delivered. Would definitely recommend.

Poor quality food at this place. The chow mein was mediocre and the chicken and sweet Corn soup tasted like washing up liquid. Very disappointed, the owner needs to address the quality of the food here as I won't be eating here again.

Just popped in just before they closed to grab something for dinner to be told that they were closed and there was nothing left when I could see the cabinet had at least 6 different items in there, so by the looks of it they be in there till they open at 6 tonight.... Nice

I like their chicken curry and chips, yummy, ( no pun intended ). Their staff are friendly and service fast, well every time I've been there anyway. But overall a nice takeaway.

Absolutely brilliant local Chinese/Fish and chip shop, they have a wide variety of set meals and food plus the staff are really easy to talk to and helpful. Very friendly even if you are not a local and the prices are perfect for the amount of food you get within your order.

I have always had great food here but a few nights ago l had a meal for one but the chicken balls were hard on the outside and brittle and dry in the centre, the ones l had had been hanging around for sometime and reheated which means they were not cooked to order as l have had them before and they have been cooked well with a light crispy batter with tender soft chicken inside... this has really put me off and have gone from 5 stars down to 3 stars ...message to the staff don't let this happen again

Ordered a meal tonight and although very tasty the main meal was not very hot so disapointed.

Have been using this Chinese takeaway for over a decade and it has always been top class with only one or two minor issues in all that time ! However lately they have lost one of my orders failed to deliver one order at all and taken more than 2 hours to deliver 2 orders when I phone it is always 15 minutes away already out for delivery !!! I live 4 minutes away by car for the delivery drivers both times they turned up and assured me they came straight to me less than five mins ! In short they have lost their way with organisation and don't care enough about loyal customers to not worry about making up rubish stories to cover their mistakes ! I could have put up with the drop in quality of the food if it wasn't coupled with the bad attitude

Food was nice stored it properly for the next morning was being sick and I'll for 2 days never again.

Very good, havent been there for a decade, (moved away back for a visit) still top Mark's, Chinese of choice.

Had chicken rice and curry was served within 5 mins and looked like it had been sat for hours,,chicken was ovbiosly precooked then reheated in microwave . Put it all in the bin ,wont be going there again

The food is cheap but tastes amazing, can get very busy in the evenings due to location near student housing area and university.

Just had 2 meals from Yummy Kitchen really bad cold in edible, I went back in told the guy really wasn't bothered. Stay away it used to be good but not anymore.

One of my go to takeaways. Do the best chips I've found had around the Pontypridd area and always return here. All at a more than reasonable price too!

Lovely food and reasonably pricex

My favourite Chinese takeaway AND it's a proper chip shop too... No refried frozen chips here. Very good hygiene rating and it shows in the quality. Set menu starts at 4.50 for a tray meal with chips, rice, chow mein and chicken balls with sauces. I'd definitely recommend the crispy beef and the spare ribs. We get crispy need, plain chow main, chicken curry and a regular bag of chips (Very generous portion) and sweet and sour sauce for £14 ish.

Curry & rice was nice enough but pretty poor chips & no better with the fish sadly. More batter than actual fish & tasted, well, old. Despite large portion of chips a lot were really inedible.

Food is cheap quality and either under or overcooked, unhelpful staff. Not a good place to eat from unless you are very drunk and if this is the case check your change as they will try to short change you or charge you for something you gave not ordered or got.

This was by far the worst meal we have had from yummy kitchen.it took hour and half to arrive it was cold and horrible over half went in the bin and not so much as a sorry from them won't be ordering again.

If I could I would of given 0 stars when from good to really bad ordered food waited 30 minutes for 2 3 in ones got home it's was like a spoon full of rice wish it was burned and about 10 chips wouldn't recommend this dump to eny body would rather go to golden sea

Disgusted I order from here on a regular basis and it went from brilliant to awful I have placed two orders I have paid for and not recieved what I asked when I call them they refuse to deliver what they owe me even though I paid because I live too far will not be ordering from them again terrible customer service should deliver what people have paid for 😡

My food came burnt so I phoned up and they say how burnt is it and they really couldn't be bothered to deal with it I will never order from here again
