Yum Yum in City of London, Westminster

I hadn't ordered from Yum Yum Pimlico for a couple of years so with family from overseas and Yum Yum just around the corner I thought that it would be worth doing a takeaway order as the food would still be hot on arrival and the food was always good. That was a mistake I won't make again. I ordered £56 of food to be delivered, after ordering it I received a call asking if I could collect it instead, which I did. Upon getting home with the order I and my family were appalled with the quality of the food. Three portions of egg fried rice which were completely brown from what I am guessing was soy sauce were inedible, mushy and devoid of anything looking like egg. The spicy garlic chicken was bland and more onions and bamboo shoot, I expected the onions and bamboo just not the lack of spice or flavour. The bbq ribs weren't very good. The meat was dry and the bbq sauce bland and it left my hands stained yellow, rather like turmeric would. The cashew chicken was more onions than chicken but apart from that not particularly objectionable. The sweet and sour chicken was sour. Far too much vinegar and nothing to sweeten the tang with a few token pieces of tinned pineapple for appearances. The spring rolls had been cooked almost to mummification. We threw the lot in the bin. After trying it all, looking for something that might redeem it we chalked the effort and cost up to experience and went out for dinner. Only the cashew chicken put up a gastronomic fight but was clearly not in the running for a happy meal award. I am embarrassed in the eyes of my family and utterly disappointed because I used to love their food, how close it was and quickly delivered. Never again.

If the salt and pepper chicken wasn’t bad enough, this “restaurant” decided to cancel our order and reorder for us without asking. Stating they couldn’t get through on the EXACT number I used to call them. When our box of cardboard finally arrived (30 mins late) we were missing our 2 egg fried rice. We called the number on Deliveroo, of which it doesn’t work (clearly a fake number) so rung the number on the website to speak to quite honestly the most rude and condescending woman. - “sorry darling we’ve done your order twice so it’s not our problem you need to take it up with Deliveroo” - having read all the other orders I’m quietly frankly disappointed in ourself that we didn’t consult trip advisor as clearly the 4.4/5 stars on Deliveroo are FAKE. These guys are con artists, liars and clearly not chefs. Whilst we only lost £10 in money we lost way more in dignity and taste buds. STAY CLEAR AND REPORT THEM.

This place is clueless ripped us off and didn't apologise when we called them out about their brazen cheating of our monies and their pathetic excuses added insult. Disgusted by this place and their lack of integrity. Avoid this place they are thieves and liars

Wish I had read the reviews before. They simply lie. Ordered on Just Eat. Food never arrived but they said it was on the way every time I called. It is as bad and u reliable as previews reviews suggest

Ordered online food never arrived. Wouldnt refund after calling to complain. Said it was our mistake that the driver couldn't find our house.

Order arrived late, cold and incorrect. Rang to complain and was told, quite bluntly, they they would neither replace the incorrect items, nor refund me. I was promised a "free dish" next time that I order, but I certainly will not be spending my money in this establishment ever again

This is my 3rd visit and Very tasty and amazing taste and delivered on time ! Under new management . i would say lemon chicken is my fev dish.

Like all of the other feedback, we too had a shocking experience. Food was an hour late and freezing cold and inedible. Save your money and don’t order from these guys. Truly awful.

Please avoid this place. Food is horrible, not fresh Chicken undercook. Nothing nice. Don't ever order any food from them. So expensive and discussing.

I wish I'd read the reviews on here before I ordered a takeaway on Just Eat...the ribs were dry and tasteless,the lamb with pancakes was revolting and the chicken mee goreng had a very strange tang to it...plus it was 25 minutes late ... avoid at all costs

Curry was not terribly "curry'ish" in taste ? No heat or flavour But everything else was awesome

We ordered a Chinese on a Saturday evening. Unfortunately the meal ended up being 50 minutes later than we were told. Whilst we tried calling the restaurant many many times, they refused to answer our calls and instead picked the phone up each time before hanging up without saying anything. Very unprofessional and frustrating. We will never use this place again.

Placed an order last night of 3 items and when the delivery arrived none of the purchased items where there only 1 non ordered item which contained ingredients I am allergic to. When I called to sort out the mistake they refused to answer my calls and have today had to go in to complain. Even after even going in they refused to do anything about their blatant error and I would advise anyone who is considering ordering from here to look elsewhere for their food

Tuvimos que tirar lo que compramos, era horroroso. Pedimos unos noodles de pollo que tenian gusto de gamba y restos quemados, y unos noodles vegetales que estaban duros. Incomestible.

The spring rolls are ok, anything else is rubbish. I have been through the entire menu and it is best worth ordering elsewhere. Service when you ring is abysmal but the delivery guys are nice.

Just ordered for the first time and certainly the last. Drink is missing, food is absolutely dry and salty. No cutlery. Dont bother

All I wanted was a simple Chinese takeaway, and I thought the negative reviews on here must have been exaggerated. Let me tell you, they were not. I had the blandest and the greasiest meal ever, that sat heavy on me all night. I wish I had played safe and gone to somewhere like Wagamama's. Avoid at all costs.

The chilli beef wasn't spicy, and had a lot of sauce. Singapore noodles were decent, but again not spicy.

The app does not update where the delivery man is. I tried to text them but I didn’t get a timely response.

The food was due to arrive at 8:30 having ordered at 7:45. It turned up at 9:20 and was cold. Each dish was tasteless and poor due to the length of time it took to arrive. I called to chase and was told that Just Eat were to blame because we were 25 minutes away. A terrible excuse for sub standard food. We won’t be ordering from here again

Very tasty, still hot and on time.

The dumplings were undercooked - in fact they were hard. There was no egg in the egg fried rice and it was lacking taste The noodles were completely tasteless - salt or Maggie would not have gone a miss. The coconut rice did not taste of coconut or resemble the taste of coconut in any way and had sweetcorn on top of it. The site informed we would get a free coconut or pineapple ice cream for an order over £30 and we did not receive it. For an order that was 20 minutes late it was highly disappointing to not be able to enjoy the food. It was not worth it. We had to bin most of it and the parts we did eat is because we were starving. This place really needs to review their chef and determine how they can make the food taste better because it was almost inedible. Taste really matters and customers deserve better. We will not be ordering from here again.

Food was great. Yummy and exactly what I was after. Only problem was the change of delivery time, and then it was slightly delayed.

Had it earlier in week, was great, second time was not good. Squid was rock solid, complete joke, like leftovers, soup all in bag, soup containers not sealed, free ice cream stated again never came for second time despite request on note. Shame. Have ordered lots won’t be ordering again.

I used to order from this restaurant often but this is the second time I have ordered the Crispy Mongolian Lamb and what arrived was mostly inedible - tough hardened pieces of meat with substantial gristle. The appetisers were amazing as always - their steamed buns and duck rolls were perfect.

Gran error.Los envoltorios de wonton del dim sum de gambas al vapor eran duros y muy desagradables, ¿poco cocinados? El langostino chop suey era una bola de salsa horrible con algunas gambas, brotes de soja empapados y verduras. Pedí el chop suey hecho picante, que fue ignorado.Gran parte se fue al baño. El problema con la entrega a domicilio es que tarda casi una hora en llegar y no se puede enviar de vuelta a la cocina. No voy a repetir este error.

Food was very nice but the ribs was a little over done very dry apart from that the food was excellent but delivery time was very poor.

Usually when you order from an asian restaurant, once you spent over a certain amount you normally get a portion of prawn crackers so we were a bit annoyed that we didn't receive them. Food was 15 mins late but we were well notified of this by just eat so did not have to contact the restaurant. Otherwise food was good and drinks were ice cold which you don't always get when ordering in !

You could tell the rice had been cooked probably a day ago... anything but fresh. The other dish with squid was almost all onion and a few pieces of squid. Definitely food cooked without any care or love. It's not my first time ordering, I wanted to give them a new chance, but this has been the last one. I had enough! Horrible.

Order was delivered 1 hour 45 minutes later than originally said. Everything was stone cold and I was unable to get any reasonable help from the restaurant. I would like a full refund on this order as nothing was remotely warm or at the standard it should have been.

Food was 30 minutes late, with no apology. The taste was rather bland and the meal had gone lukewarm.

Nothing good to say, food was 30mins delay, ordered Singapore noodles, for £8.60 only tiny bit meat, nearly like fried noodles only. Paid £2.20 for chill oil, came with tiny pot that normally get for free in a restaurant. Food are very pricey for what you get. Will not order again.

Chicken and black bean sauce was great with egg fried rice. Excellent meal.

I placed the food order at 7pm and it said around 30 mins. The time was then delayed a further 3 times and My food didn’t arrive until after 8.30pm! Another driver called me around 8.40 saying he was outside and wouldn’t come up to the apartment to deliver food, which I have never experienced before - I then went outside and he wasn’t there and I called him again and he said he had got the orders confused and was somewhere else - if he wasn’t my delivery driver/had my food i don’t know why he had my number.
