I made a booking and requested a table rather than a seat at the belt as I have back pain and need the lumbar support, however, when we arrived a table was not available. Eventually one was found but we had to wait for it to be cleared and cleaned and we were not seated until 15 minutes after our reservation time. The menu which was on the table was disgusting and covered in grease and bits of food and I didn't really want to touch it. The waitress said that she would return with another one for my companion but she never did. While we were waiting a small child who was sitting next to the belt was licking the lids of the platters as they went past which really put us off. Then we noticed that there was old food under our feet where we sat. The app ordering system was no longer available and so we could see that we would have to place our order with the already frantically busy staff. And we then noticed that the veggie platter was no longer an option either. We felt miserable and stressed and didn't want to eat lunch somewhere so dirty and chaotic and so we left without placing an order. This was so disappointing. We love the food at Yo! and are regular customers, but on this occasion it just wasn't up to standard.

The food was really good but the toilets were disgusting and genuinely had one of the worst smells. Genuinely worse than porta potties which downtoned the experience. Also, all the cutlery and glasses were very dirty so I asked for them to be swapped and they were still dirty. I came to yo sushi today and no one came to seat us so we had to seat ourselves. We then had to wait 10 mins for anyone to acknowledge us. It seemed like none of the staff knew what they were doing. The man that served told us he was new, therefore he didn’t really know what he was doing. Which wasn’t his fault but he had no staff that were supervising him due to him being new. From the last time I came it’s really gone down hill.

Where do I even start Everything looks like it’s going down hill Every time we go out we always tend to have Yo shushi cause it’s our favourite we were in nottingham so thought of having a quick a lunch and we order few dishes shushi is always lovely there but god the cleanliness I give 0 we had a high chair for our baby it looked like it’s never been wiped or cleaned so had to wipe it ourself the floor looked like it’s never been hover or moped there was dirt everywhere the kitchen and the pots and pan they all look like they need to go in a bin that’s how bad they look We sat on the convey belt area everything looked messy it was so dirty I hope council comes and give you guys some rating if I had to give one I would give 0 literally that’s how bad it looks They had enough staff not that busy but still took long time to come and take orders for our drinks

Birthday Meal. Upon booking I requested a booth as the meal was for my daughter’s birthday, this was listened to and we had a lovely meal. Both children especially loved the Korean chicken and the Yo Fries. The service was attentive and excellent and we were even given a selection of free puddings for my daughter’s birthday. We felt totally ripped off, small portions , very overpriced for what we got , then they tried to overcharge us ! Tired decor. Terrible customer service. We spent longer waiting for the staff than we did actually eating. Even waiting for bill took forever. We very rarely eat out and Yo is usually our go too we’ve always loved it. Took my son & nephew today for lunch as a treat and oh my god it was shocking ! One very stressed lovely waitress seating, taking payments & taking orders. Crowds of people waiting to be seated ! We then waited ages to be served, no light to turn on so we had to attempt to catch the ONLY waitress as she dashed past which was impossible the food came out wrong literally after an hour we finally gave up and left after paying our £29 bill ……. Absolute joke, never again !

I went at a quiet time and ordered two hot dishes and had some plates off the conveyor belt between us. The prices for the belt food is astronomical and there wasn’t much choice at all. It seemed like they had only a few of their listed dishes on the belt. The Katsu curry was excellent however the waiting staff were not. We asked for the bill multiple times and they stood chatting instead of doing it and no tap water was offered to us and we couldn’t order it online. Overall dissatisfied, we were very excited to go and experience it but the restaurant just felt tired and the staff were rude. We eat out often and this is the on,y restaurant in Nottingham so far that we have been dissatisfied with the service and wouldn’t even consider going back.

This was my first visit to this Yo since the conveyers have been turned back on, and it was a pretty nice experience. Was very quickly sat, and in a booth as well. Staff were pleasant, checking up on us as needed and quickly bringing over any items we ordered via the website. The food was delicious, both off the conveyer and what we ordered separately. The music wasn't too loud, and the surroundings were quite pleasant.

Haven't been to YO! Sushi since before lockdown and it's gotten so bad. Zero customer service, shrinkflation and bland food. It's become such a gimmick with the conveyor belt. If I want sushi, I'll go to Bonsai round the corner, next time.

I attended a Sushi school class. The experience was absolutely great. I had eaten there a number of times and have always thoroughly enjoyed the food. To be shown how to make my own Sushi and listen to the Chef taking the class was great. The Chef was absolutely amazing in the manner he disected a slab of Salmon and explained how none of it is wasted. Fantastic experience.

Okay, so I hadn’t been since pre-covid, but I’m sad to say this place has definitely gone down hill. The fixtures and fittings look tired for the most part, or just not very clean or cared for. They were no lights in the toilet for instance. The sushi is still lovely, and most everything on the menu that I tried is still lovely. But the service was lacklustre at best and non-existent at times. I had to fetch my own chopsticks and napkins for instance. They also have a new system where you order on your phone. Normally I love this idea, but I had no signal in the building AND the YO sushi Wi-Fi was terrible! Fortunately my partner had more signal on a different network and ordered for both of us. None of that would be great regardless, but it’s even worse given how much everything costs there. I can only recommend you avoid this place these days. ESPECIALLY if you’ve been before and enjoyed it. As it is, this place will ruin your memories.

Went with my family last night (22nd August) after a day shopping, overall impression was food was overpriced for the amount you got, 4 tiny items on a small saucer for £8:95, the place was a bit grubby, whether that was the decor I'm not sure? But the worst bit was the gents toilets 😱🤢 it smells how I would imagine a Roman latrine to smell, it's obviously been days since it's been cleaned and no I didn't mention it to the staff as I went as we were leaving, although I did say this to my wife when were at home and she said she could smell the gents from outside the ladies toilet. Won't be going back

The place looks a bit worn. Clean, but ready for a sprucing up. The cost of the plates , for what you get, isn't quite right. Something seems out of whack. The sushi rice was warm and the rolls were tiny. I'm not being picky but they were half the size that they used to be. 60 quid later and I was a little bit let down. As mentioned before, the staff were lovely and polite.

This was mine and my partners first time visiting yo sushi and we had pretty high expectations. When we arrived it was pretty busy so were asked to come back 20 minutes later which we perfectly okay with until when we did get back it took at least 5 minutes for the host who we could see on her phone in the back to even notice we had walked through the door. When they did come over to seat us, we were given a table at the counter squished in between two couples. We asked if it would be possible to move because there were plenty of free tables just seemed like they needed a clean but we were told no and that they were all booked. After placing our order we asked another member of staff to move because there were still plenty of free tables and after a few ums and ah’s they let us move. Good job too because by the time we finished our meal the restaurant was basically empty of customers - server at the start clearly just couldn’t be bothered to clear a more spacious table so lied about the bookings!!!Nothing too bad to say about the food, just the fact that after receiving ours it seemed like the chef didn’t put in any effort as we noticed none of our food was garnished whereas the same dishes on the conveyor belt to us did have garnish. Also shouldn’t have to wait over 10 minutes for 2 mochis that we watched the chef just slap out of the packet onto the plate with no garnish or even a slight bit of effort to make them look nice.On the whole, we didn’t feel very welcome after what felt like the staff didn’t want to serve us and gave us very patronising responses whenever we asked for any help - even just for something small like a napkin (not how we wanted to feel at our first visit in this restaurant)We definitely won’t be returning to yo sushi and won’t be recommending this restaurant any time soon. The managers ought to look at training their staff on how to treat customers and learn some decent customer service skills!!

We got promptly seated and the staff was nice but because of the pandemic you have changed the way you run things. We struggled ordering online because network and free internet was so slow. Barely had any drinks in so we walked out . And not using the conveyor belt as used to takes the fun out of it.
