Yiamas Greek Taverna in Glasgow City

We got two gyros to go and they were lovely. Can’t wait to sit in next time we are in the area to sample more dishes. Staff very friendly.

I've had gyros many times in Greece and can confidently say the one I had at Yiamas is one of the best I've ever had. The food is amazing, they have Mythos, the service is great and the prices are fair. This is now one of our favourite restaurants in Glasgow so can highly recommend it.

Brilliant meal.. Attended last Sunday. We had the chicken..Starters we had rye bread and houmous. The tomatoes were off the scale. An open kitchen added to the attraction and a bottle of house red under £20.. All in all a brilliant meal. Alas we had zero room for a sweet... Ideally situated around a 5 minute walk from the Holiday Inn Express and even less from the Hard Rock..

We came today for lunch and boy what a good decision it was to come here. Staff were attentive and we had a laugh about ordering drinks. Food was freshly cooked to order and was very tasty. We had a vegan pitta, feta in filo, chicken pitta a mixed gyros and baklava. Everything went down a treat and would go again :)

Booked online for a Saturday night. It was quite busy but the service was efficient. The restaurant decor is very nice. We shared 2 small plates as starters. The beef meatballs were particularly tasty. The Gyros were tasty and the beef moussaka was particularly fragrant, the veg moussaka less so but still good. Nice skin on chips too. Really enjoyed our meals.

Great little place on Bath Street in Glasgow. One thing I’ve always tried when eating Greek food is Saganak, having spent a few years working in Greece many years ago it was always a favourite of mine. A lot of places make it with Feta cheese which I don’t like but here they did it with Kefalograviera which was amazing. It tasted great and was the best I’ve tried in the UK. Main course was also excellent. Large bottle of Mythos beer, starter and main, was just over £24 and I thought it was excellent value for money.

Recently visited this family run Greek Taverna. Good location in Glasgow City Centre. Friendly and welcoming staff with excellent choice of food and drinks at reasonable prices . I had Moussaka and chips and this was cooked to perfection, well worth a return visit.

Had a couple hours in Glasgow between buses and had dinner at Yimas. Gyro was a wee bit chewy, but tasty and the the Greek salad was nice. Fries were excellent. I will return given the opportunity.

We had a reservation for Sunday evening. Not busy at all. Kind reception. We were told that some products were not available. We had a chicken- souvlaki and a halloumi souvlaki with greek salad. As side dishes fries and a tomato, aubergine and pepperoni vegetable mix. It al was really nice and tasteful. As desert we choose the ice-cream .

out to celibrate a family birthday, greeted immediately with a happy smile from the waitress and shown to our seat, drinks order sorted and given enough time to organise our food order. When our food arrived it was as usual delicious and authentic, both owners greeted us and were extemely freindly making sure we had everything we needed. Everything on the menu is well priced and well worth it. so if you are looking for a fun family oriented authentic Greek taverna get yourself down to Bath Street and enjoy a little slice of heaven

I have been here with two groups in April. I emailed our food order for 20 people a couple of days before. Everyone loved the food and the staff were amazing. Nothing was too much bother, even though they had to come upstairs to our table. I was there again with 13 people yesterday and we had a fixed price mezze which was brilliant, a great selection of food to share. Once again the staff were delightful and everyone has said that they plan to return.

Very tasty Greek food. My Greek friend always says that it’s authentic and the only restaurant that reminds her of Greece. I really enjoyed it.

Wanted to love this place, but sadly it was just average. Waited ages for waiting staff to take drinks order. Then when we asked for the different dishes to be brought together. They weren't, they were brought as starters then mains. Feta dip very watery. Though the tzatziki was nice. Halloumi souvlaki, the best bit was the halloumi, the rest really dry especially the hummus. Chicken souvlaki, no flavour at all on the chicken. Really disappointed as we love greek food. Expected more as it was 5 at night and not busy. Unfortunately don't recommend. Try Babs or Elia instead.

The taste you get from simple dishes is amazing,rustic chips have herb/salt that just is so flavoured, as does the bread,tomato feta dish. The whole visits on both occasions was great and new experiences from Mediterranean flavours.
