Saturday 28th July 18, my husband and I after walking round the pretty village of Pembridge were in need of refreshments so we went to ‘Ye Olde Steppes’ tearoom, which was also the village shop.

The coffee shop was busy on arrival and stayed busy. A really popular place and deservedly so. We were warmly greeted in a friendly and genuine way. Seated quickly and soon had a big pot of tea in front of us.

The Cider Barn

18/10/2018: We have been area for a while but appeared to have missed when this place popped up! Saw the review in GFG, looked at the menu on-line (interesting) and decided to give it a wiggle. Was not disappointed. The usual, and the slightly less, was on the menu. Presentation was quite good, flavours & taste really good. Nice ambiance, great staff. We have 'saved' this destination and will be back.
26/12/2018: This is quite a difficult place to find at night - you have to go some way further on from the point at which Sat-Nav says you have arrived - but once there the old barn has a very nice ambience and a welcoming log fire on a winter night. The staff are pleasant and attentive and the quality of food is very good. The only issue we had was the number of choices of both starters and main-course was quite limited – it would especially be so for a vegetarian. We only had main courses – one venison loin and one beef fillet with cheek – both were delicious and the accompanying vegetables were well selected and presented. With one dessert and a bottle of wine the bill was £68 which was fine for the quality although probably on the high side compared to other eateries in this part of the county.

The Tram Inn

18/08/2018: This is my sort of pub, quaint and traditional, old fashioned even but very wonderful.
02/09/2018: Lovely black and white pub in the centre of the village. Very popular, even mid week. Focusses on food but has some interesting beers. The staff are very friendly and there is a good choice of food at sensible prices. Perhaps the only thing was the chips could have been better. Otherwise I would highly recommend The Tram.
