Amazing food every time. Super fast delivery and great vegan options. Dishes getting a little more expensive but worth it for the quality. Highly recommend!

Rude, rude and got people working there that is on the sick.

Decided to eat in before going to a concert. The restaurant didn’t look set up to accept diners, no tables laid accept the one we sat at. We were the only diners, and the bottom half of the restaurant looked like a storage area, with boxes, kids toys and take away thermal bags over the tables. Although the welcome was friendly, the place was so cold, we kept out coats on, no music so little atmosphere. It’s a shame the food isn’t served on warmers as we had expected, and because it was cold in the room, the food didn’t stay warm for long. The food was pleasant but what I would expect from a tale-away. I am sure years ago this was a thriving restaurant, but maybe the take away market is what they are focussed on.

Best Chinese in Cardiff. Always our go to and the staff are really nice. You can also eat in which is a hidden gem! All you can eat for only £25 👌👌👌

We had delivery. Probably the worst Chinese I have ever had and it came two hours late to add to the insult that this food is to Chinese cuisine. Ribs covered in some indescribable black sauce which seemed to be the same sauce as on the Szechuan beef. The spring rolls and king prawns were obviously straight from the freezer into the deep fat frier and the pancake rolls were soggy, full of only beansprouts and utterly tasteless. Never ever again

They cant even deliver the food you order so I wouldn't trust them to cook a pack of ready made noodles... Shambolic jokers.

I never, ever leave poor comments but the meal I had delivered tonight from Yangs was so poor that I was compelled to register my dissatisfaction on this platform as when I called them to complain I was told ‘Well, it is a Takeaway’. Seriously? The Satay had the consistency of wallpaper paste, the salt & pepper prawns were tasteless and soggy, the spring rolls were the same and the whole meal ended up in the food bin. The only saving Grace was that the ribs were at least edible! Disappointing as this meal should never have left the pass of any self respecting chef. Sorry guys but just not good enough.

One of the better Chinese takeaways in Cardiff. The pancake rolls are crispy and NOT dripping in oil, the prawns are to die for, and we love the chicken sate and ribs! Yes, these are all starters. We usually order only starters

Good food - extra fries 🍟 and drink

I was sent the wrong order - items were missing. I called and they said they would send out the missing item. They then called me back and asked for photographic evidence because they had sent the right order to me! This was not true. I asked them for a full refund and said I would give the wrong order back. They told me to call Just Eat if I was not happy as they could not return the money to my card or give me cash. I am absolutely disgusted. Never get a take away from here!

Ordered and food never arrived. Called the restaurant and they were not interested in helping us. Avoid this place! **EDIT: we don't have room mates (we are a couple), and it's the same address we use for every other delivery (never had this problem in a year). Yang's didn't deliver our food, and owe us £30

Ordered online and I took 2 hours to come. Phoned the restaurant 3 times to be told it was on its way. It came cold and we didn't eat any. The egg fried rice was boiled rice also. Very disappointed would give no stars if I could

I have a very horrible unpleasant experience with this restaurant. I waited approximately 2hpurs for my food and never got my food. They did not even even have the courtesy to apologize for their ineptitude. Wasted a whole 2hrs and more waiting for food. Didn't have food the whole night. I am still awaiting my refund and if I do not get my full refund and more, I will take it up until I get everything I am entitled. Never been this mad about a restaurant

Ordered crispy duck which was fine, but the 2 chicken curries we ordered were just awful, chewy chicken in a very bland, thin tasteless sauce. sides ordered were average at best and not very warm. To be fair delivery time was good

Ordered online at 19.50pm and was still waiting for my delivery at 22.10pm When I rang the restaurant twice they told me we were next for delivery yet we were still waiting. Couldn’t get hold of anyone at the restaurant at 22.00pm NEVER EVER USE THIS RESTAURANT ABSOLUTELY AWFUL

Special fried rice was just boiled rice with stir fried meat, veg and sauce on top. No egg, no shrimp... Just beef and chicken. I had to re-add it to my wok to actually make it fried rice...

Some of the best Chinese food we’ve ever tasted! Huge portions of great quality food and super crunchy chicken balls which were 3x the size of our usual Chinese restaurant! Will definitely be returning and great service with a good price. The restaurant was very quiet so very quick service and such a friendly waitress too. Highly recommend!

Absolutely fabulous meal tonight in Yangs. Service was attentive and friendly and the food was absolutely perfect. The best Chinese I've had in years. Felt really comfortable being there with all the staff wearing masks and being really Covid safe. Will definitely be back. Yangs at its best!!

Great vegan choices on most "meats", would recommend

My family and I have visited yangs several times and it’s always been love and we’ve always received great customer service. I assume it has recently been taken over by another family or so but the customer service was appalling. The delivery driver didn’t get out of his car and when I attempted to call he got out and said “why you call I am here” as if I was to know. He then passed me the food, dropped the lettuce wrap bag and didn’t attempt to pick up so I had to. I then noticed my chips and squid was missing, so I called the restaurant and advised, my response was “right ok sorry, what do you want me to do about it” so I said well I want it redelivered and if not I want a refund, he went quiet so I said hello and he responded “we be 10/15 minutes, goodbye” and ended the call. I was so frustrated and disgusted I couldn’t even enjoy my food, to which was cold anyway as we had to wait for the soggy wet bag of chips to arrive. I’m gutted it’s no longer the previous owners or family but we won’t be returning again. I 100% recommend anyone looking for a good Chinese to look at Lucky Chef or the new Cantonese.

Popped in when walking past 1. Saw it had re-opened 2. Trying to support local businesses atm 3. It had been spoken affectionately by vegan community in past. Service was friendly and efficient. Vegan meal for one was great value at £12.50 (tried vegan beef option) and really succulent/ delicious. Easily enough for 2 rounds. I understand that they can substitute chicken, duck or beef and veganise a plethora of menu items :) Go! Enjoy :)

Ordered food to be delivered for new years eve and knew it would be a bit of a wait, but still no food delivered after 3 hours. The staff at the restaurant even lied to me saying it was due to go out in 10mins, but 90 mins later and still no food. An absolute joke of a restaurant, if you can not do a service don't offer it. Awful awful. Stay well clear. And now have a family with no food for new years eve.

Yangs used to be my favourite Chinese in Cardiff. I think owners or chefs have changed recently and the ingredients too. I had crispy beef and it tasted more like chewy twigs. Service was shocking after waiting 2.5 hours for food with no apology and their driver being lost for an hour of that calling me while trying to find me. Food was cold and bad as well.

Could not see their hygiene rating so went online to check, when I saw 1 I ran home, hopefully they can improve this score for the future.

Staff so friendly. Slight mistake with our order (dine in), but it was easily sorted. Word of advice, the portions are pretty big, be careful when you order. Food was good too. If I'm ever back in Cardiff again, I'll stop by.

Los sabores de la comida eran muy buenos ya un precio razonable para pedir tantos platos como quieras del menú que luego se preparan para ti. Lo único negativo fue que solo se podía tener un plato de langostinos por cada 2 personas y no se permitía más después de eso, también había demasiadas verduras en algunos de los platos. En otros restaurantes similares no tiene un límite en los platos de gambas y menos verduras componen los platos de carne / mariscos. El servicio era muy bueno, pero iría a otros restaurantes similares si tuviera la opción.

Food was absolutely insane, best duck I’ve ever had in my life, and to top it off the two young guys there were the sweetest guys, constantly smiling and when we gave them a tip they were so grateful, lovely experience 1000% going again

Vemos clientes habituales para comidas para llevar, pero nunca hemos comido aquí antes. Ayer tuvimos la comida del buffet por la noche y por alrededor de 15 libras puedes pedir tantas veces como quieras comida fresca recién cocinada. Nada comparado con otros buffets donde la comida ya está preparada y se está enfriando.El servicio fue muy bueno, un joven y una niña fueron absolutamente amables y educados.El único "pero" es que no tienen variedad de cervezas, pero pueden ofrecer un par de ellas.Lo recomendamos al 100%.

Have never left a poor review before for this takeaway but they must have changed chefs. Tonight we had starters which were ok but the mains were awful and went in the bin. Wont be ordering from here again.

La comida era absolutamente deliciosa pero el servicio definitivamente podría haber sido mejor. Éramos una gran fiesta, pero los pedidos se volvieron muy confusos, muchos entrantes no llegaron. Esperamos más de una hora para que llegaran los platos principales, sin arroz ni fideos traídos mientras nos servían las mesas que nos rodeaban aunque estaban sentados y ordenados después de que lo hiciéramos. Tuve que pedir varias veces platos que se pusieron un poco frustrantes. Pero los camareros eran muy amables, claramente un problema en la cocina.La comida era muy buena, aunque volveremos en un grupo más pequeño, espero que tengamos una mejor experiencia. Bien vale la pena el 16. 99 una cabeza para el buffet!

Amazing, what a treat! I very rarely like Chinese food, but on a whim we decided to order a takeaway from here - boy we were not let down. This is the best chinese takeaway ever, and the chicken chow mein is to die for. Will 100000% order again.

Don’t be fooled by the somewhat tired exterior - Yangs is a real gem. Delicious food, nice decor and pleasant staff. We inhaled the crispy duck and pancakes and the char siu chow mien was to die for. A really nice, classic Chinese restaurant.

The food was so amazing, such great value for the all you can eat, loveliest staff. Never usually review but this deserves a 5 star review.

Was greeted by a very irritated lady delivering complaining she couldn’t understand reception at barrier and was stuck for twenty minutes made me feel like it was my fault and went on and on, I live in a gated complex and have no control over barrier, can understand her irritation but not happy it was taken out on me.

After being disappointed in all-you-can eat style buffets with the warmed troughs we decided to give this a try with the ordering to table style, the meals felt infinitely fresher and the crispy duck pancakes were to die for! thick sweet and salty plum sauce, fresh sliced cucumber and spring onion and soft pancakes, almost worth the price alone! I'm a fiend for the starter dishes over main course so I usually go to town on the ribs, wings, salt and pepper chicken, spring rolls, and an egg fried rice to go with it.

Me and my husband ate from the All you can eat menu on a Saturday night, the place is absolutely immaculate with a relaxing atmosphere! The staff were very polite and they couldn't do enough for us! And the food wow! It was incredible, by fat the best Chinese food we've ever eaten! Would highly recommend

Group of 8 post Six Nations match. 15min stroll from the ground. Very accommodating staff. Food was just what we wanted and excellent for a group. There was a nice ambiance in the restaurant and it is far better inside that the outside portrays. No, it is not fine dinning but never the less was very good. I will use again when in Cardiff attending the rugby with a group of friends. Good value for money. Thank you to all the staff.

Our fourth visit and eating here just gets better. Tried a number of different dishes everything tasted great. Service excellent as was the enormous ice cold Chinese beer. Brilliant value highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I were visiting Cardiff to see friends but we left booking somewhere to stay very late. The prices for staying in Cardiff on a weekend were very pricey and my boyfriend found yangs on booking.com. The room was only £35 for the night so I was expecting the worst but it didn’t matter too much as we knew we would not be in the room a lot. However, it was much better then expected.

Food is good but the attitude of the male waiter was terrible tonight. Charged a service charge of 7.5% which isn't advertised and had to pay! They should not be charging if not advertised. Got told I had no option and had to pay this regardless of it being advertised! It was also really annoying having the owners kids running around the small restaurant treating it like a play area. Lost my custom!

Myself and my family visited Yangs for dinner on a Saturday night. We ordered food from the buffet menu. The quality of the food was outstanding. The service was good the waiter was very friendly and was always on hand if we needed anything. I have been to many chineses restarant but this is by for the best in Cardiff.

Ordered online and all of the food has come overdone. Prawn balls are far too dark and chewy, and over cooked inside. The spring rolls have burnt bits in them, even the prawn crackers taste old and greasy and these are just the basics. I dread to think what the actual meals are like....

The food was horrible, it took and hour to come; my food was cold, the chips were very oily and brown, the egg fried rice was very plain and the sweet and sour chicken balls were extremely oily. My can of coke was warm and flat. Worst Chinese I’ve ever ordered in Cardiff!!

The mixed starters was ok, prawns burnt and tough. The duck for the pancakes was charred and inedible, awful. The main dishes were variable. Won’t be ordering again.

The change of ownership means a change to both front of house and the chef, so both the things that really matter in a restaurant. Sadly, both have changed significantly for the worse.

I used to LOVE Yangs. I think it's under new management because the food is now bland and nothing special at all. It's not awful, but definitely nowhere near the quality it used to be when the lady was running the place. Such a shame!!! Need to find a new local Chinese...

Been going to Yangs for years, always a treat but the last 3 times I've been very disappointed. I was hoping things would get back to normal but the last meal I had was the worst ever. Beef in black bean sauce with no vegetables and a thick over sweet sauce - couldn't eat it. My partner had the same problem with over sweet soup. Service is not what it was either. Portions have also shrunk. It's a real shame but will not be returning.

We had dinner at Yangs last Saturday. The food was good and the service was excellent. Sadly the restaurant was quite quiet and this may reflect some poor reviews recently. We can only say that this is a nice restaurant and we will be going again.

Ordered takeaway from yangs, said to busy to deliver. So arranged to collect in 1 hour. Arrived was told not ready for a further 30 mins so went home and came back 30 mins later. Was then told would be another 20mins. So said no thanks And had fish and chips. 7 hungry people Very very disappointed !! Rubbish no apology.

I have supported this place for a longtime and always recommended people try it out. However, a third really poor meal and I’m done. We ordered a large order (£100 for a party of 8) to collect and was told it would be 45 mins to an hour, which is perfectly acceptable but when we arrive at the agreed time we’re left waiting for another 45 minutes. All would be forgiven if the food had been any good .... it wasn’t. Cold and tasteless!!! They weren’t busy either, particularly for a Saturday night which speaks volumes I suppose. I’ll be looking for another takeaway in the lovely Grangetown.

I have been here before and was quite disappointed but Grandma wanted to go here due fond memories. Arrived 6:15 restaurant had two tables customers x 2 each table. We were a party of 9 so two circular tables were pushed together. Ordered from the young lady that didn’t speak the best of English but not to matter I don’t speak very good(nothing) Chinese!

Ordered two dishes for collection via Just Eat. Restaurant requested 30min delay. Arrived at 21:00 to collect food and was told to wait 5-10 mins for order. Half an hour later, ahead of person who told me he'd waited an hour (in a very quiet restaurant) was given food not matching what I'd ordered so went back and politely asked for a refund. Waiter refused, telling me I would have to get one through Just Eat and did not offer anything in the way of compensation. Glad I checked order as it was not what I wanted, was bland and overcooked. Avoid this place.

Yangs is off the beaten track for visitors to the city, so more likely a locals restaurant. We received a warm welcome but it was a quiet experience. The standout dish was the Crispy Mongolian Lamb.

I visited Yang's alone whilst on business. The only downside to this restaurant is it's location, which is a bit out of the city and in not the best neighborhood. I would recommend getting a taxi and not walking.

Qué sorpresa, encontramos esta pequeña joya en tripadvisor, así que cogimos un taxi y nos fuimos. Qué fantástico lugar, el personal, la comida y el restaurante era perfecto en todos los sentidos. Por favor nota - media orden de lo que crees que quieres, las porciones son muy generosas!
