Booked last minute as I had a sudden urge for my first festive lunch of the season, so glad I did, the Turkey and trimmings were the best I've ever tasted, lots of flavour and seasoning. Have booked in for next week, cant wait!

My family and I are forever popping to the Wye Knot Stop for a bite to eat and we’ve never come away disappointed! John is an incredible chef, with all food cooked from scratch with the most amazing flavours that you will crave for days after! Paula is a wonderful Waitress and will make sure you are fed, watered and smiling at each visit - so if you’re popping past this gorgeous little restaurant...why not stop?

Passing through the village and saw this wonderful view of a green piece of land, a tree and people sitting out enjoying their coffee. Decided to stop and join them. My wife had the chocolate orange cake and I had a scone. This was delightful, a totally unexpected stop but what a wonderful location. Excellent service as well.

The food here is fantastic and so is the service. While on holiday with another family, Paola swiftly found enough chairs to seat 9 in total and she couldn’t do enough for us. During covid we ate outside under cover and managed to stay dry while it was raining. If staying in the area or just passing through, do yourself a favour and grab a coffee and a cake, you won’t be disappointed. We visited on several occasions and thoroughly enjoyed each time. Delicious

We were staying very close to Wye Knot Stop and visited a couple of times for tea/coffee and cake. We also ate breakfast there on our last morning before driving home. The food and service were wonderful and the staff were welcoming and attentive. Would definitely visit again if we return to the area.

This place caught our eye with its attractive floral displays so we stopped for lunch - so glad we did! We sat outside under the cover of the veranda and ordered Katsu Curry which was delicious. It also has lovely cakes and serves breakfasts - we would definitely return when passing.

When visiting Brecon we booked in for a couple of nights. Hosts were so friendly and the room was great. We missed out on eating here as they close at 5pm, which was the only downside of the trip as the smells were amazing. Local pubs were good for evening meals but booking would be advised. I think we will be back :) A delightful stay which we would thoroughly recommend. Thank you 'Wye Knot Stop'

Came here for 2 nights with some friends for a wedding - the rooms are comfortable and the breakfast and service were both excellent. The floor I slept on after being unable to make it all the way to my bed was perfectly acceptable in my post wedding alcoholic haze, as was the toilet, which I vomited into at 5am. Room tip: pick a room with a floor and a toilet.

I have visited this establishment on several occasions with my elderly mum and have never been disappointed. My mother has mobility problems and it is greatly appreciated that the owner will open the door for us when she sees us. She always greets us warmly remembering my mums menu choice (which does not change). In addition to the menu there is a specials board, portion sizes are generous. The salads accompanying the meals are fresh and tasty and I can also recommend the Sunday lunches.

Recomendado.

I spoke to Sue on the phone to check if she was ok to cater for a party of 8 and she was really helpful. The food on both the saturday and sunday was freshly prepared and great value for money - really recommend the full english breakfast, one of the best I have had. Many thanks to Sue and her staff!

We seem to stop here, either going to wales or coming back to devon as its almost half way. Its a lovely spot and a lovely family run establishment with just the right choices for travellers or just a spot to head for on a drive or ride in the lovely countryside. They also sell some local produce and gifts and I will always make this place to eat en route over and above the service stations.

Driving from Oswestry to Swansea is not for the faint hearted & by the time we'd got to the Wye Knot we needed a break from driving. We'd noticed this place several times but never had the opportunity to drop in. Well we did today & what a pleasant surprise. A small, intimate space with a roaring log fire, good coffee, lovely sandwiches and some locally made postcards & other knick knacks on sale. Reading the posters it seems this is a real community hub with live entertainment on offer. A real gem that we'll make a point of stopping in next time we pass through.

Best Sunday roast dinner I’ve tasted in a very long time ,looked good ,Welsh Lamb and Beef was tender and tasted FANTASTIC ,with lovely traditional vegetables cooked to perfection, what I would describe as real old fashion farm house cooking at it’s best. A credit to kitchen staff and waitresses and to local farmers and suppliers.

A pleasant meal with excellent service but very quiet, i suppose thats usually to be expected in January. Probably the nicest salmon we've had with a scrumptious cheese cake to follow and lovely white wine too. Waiter had a good sense of humour and kept us entertained on a quiet night and said "don't forget us on Tripadvisor" so here it is! Quickly cooked and delivered to our table with genuine warmth and a smile. Better than our first visit last summer but we don't like to make a fuss as it seemed full of holiday makers and a little short on waiting staff we hope you enjoyed your after work pint Johnny, Dean and Jenny x
