The food was ok , but the roast dinner contained less than 30 grams of sirloin. The main course was too small for the bill. In my opinion it was not worth the money. We all left hungry !

This restaurant is now called 27 Harbour Street & I could not recommended it more. We originally ate there as a family on 22nd Dec and loved it so much we returned with our extended family last night. Everything was delicious, but the bream and cod were particular favourites. The shrimp, clams and mushroom dishes were heavenly and you must order the delicious bread to soak up the sauces. The amazing food was only outshone by the incredible service. Truly some of the warmest and most professional service we have been lucky enough to enjoy. We can not wait to return to Broadstairs to eat at 27 Harbour Street again. Do not miss this gem.

Unfortunately, we left this restaurant still hungry . Even though most of the food had nice oils and flavours ,the dishes were so so small . If you like tiny meals that cost a fortune, then it will suit you . We had to fill ourselves with bread . The bill was over a hundred pounds for two people, so it was disappointing. We didn't drink alcohol only water . Have to say the sweet was delicious. Sorry not to give a better review. I only hope the restaurant reads the reviews and takes notice of what customers say . Staff were very helpful and friendly .

We were lucky and found two seats at a very busy time. Everything was cooked beautifully and flavors were bold and delicious. Only downside is that some plates are incredibly small, even some mains. Yes, I know the description of the place says “small-plates”, but three thin slices of fish in the crudo or four slices of miso glazed swede for a 20 pound main dish, even with a Sunday roast trimming, can be surprisingly small. Would love to go back as food was delicious, service was very friendly, and wine offering was up to it, but hopefully portions could be slightly revised.

We had a delicious lunch today. We came across the restaurant by chance and we are so glad we did. Everything from the bread, the wine, small plates and desert was absolutely delicious. This was a delicious find. Our waitress recommended six small plates for two people and she was absolutely right, we chose three cold, three hot, but start with a nibble of sour dough bread with (melted) shrimp butter. 😋 The food is lovingly prepared, a feast for the eyes and flavoursome. We left feeling satisfied but not too full. We didn't have dessert. There is a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant and we looked out on the water as the sun went down. This is not a cheap restaurant but that is because it is quality. A great experience. Sorry, no photos, we were too focused on the food!

Exceptional food in the very best spot in Broadstairs. Went on a the hottest Sunday of the year and in the face of sweltering temperatures and a broken card machine, the team went far out their way to ensure we were all attentively tended. The small plates on Sunday are a recent addition to the trad lunch menu and were all delicious and beautifully presented. Dinner for two, of exquisite quality, with oysters and a brutally cold Viognier for £135 including tip? Yes please! Highly recommend you all visit (but not all at once as I’m planning a return visit ASAP!)

We were a bit worried about the whole small plates thing in case we didn't get enough to eat! We needn't have been. It's actually a great way to eat as it allows you to try a greater range of the fabulous food this restaurant has to offer (particular favs were the devilled mackerel and pommel anna). Also they are very generous about letting you try the wine before you buy and you can buy wine by the glass without the markup which most restaurants apply which meant my husband and I got to choose what we really wanted rather than compromise on bottle of wine we could both drink. Staff were friendly and helpful too. We'll definitely be back.

Great location and wonderful food. The team were really knowledgeable and helpful about allergens and the gluten free options were superb. The heritage tomato salad made us both smile so much, the flavours were exquisite. We were very lucky to get a last minute booking because the team at Wyatt and Jones really know their stuff, from the delicious ginger switchel to the decadent chocolate palet the meal was divine (although the sauce with the gilt head bream tasted oddly of mashed potatoes it still complimented the nuttiness of the fish so no complaints) and I can't wait to see the seasonal changes reflected in the menus.

Finally managed to get a table here. Google online booking does not allow booking for solo diners but the girls were kind enough to accommodate me at the bar area. I had a wonderful lunch and chatted with a local family who were so friendly. Jersey oysters, tuna tartar, clams and special lobster were all delicious. Especially the tomato salad. I was too busy enjoying the dishes and didn't end up taking pics for other dishes. Great wine by the glasses option. Tips: you can make an online booking for 2 pp but make a note if it's for a single dinner. The restaurant would make adjustments on their end.

My friend and I have both been coming to this fabulously located restaurant for nearly 10 years and it has never failed. Particularly on our visit last Sunday (09/07) where everything we ate was perfection. Haven’t had such good courgette flowers outside Italy, the Shrimp Bread perfectly seasoned. Tuna Tartare so perfectly balanced with its accompanying Japanese seasoning and the Bream deliciously char grilled with another perfect accompaniment. The squid ink paella was probably the best of anything that I’ve ever eaten with Squid Ink in (and that includes dishes at the River Cafe) and a piece of perfection with clam and mussel in it as well. And a huge thank you to Mr Wyatt/Jones for squeezing us in and keeping us informed. The service was slick and spot on and our many plates perfectly timed so we never felt hurried. Very much appreciated and we hope to return soon.

Entirely underwhelming..not eating would have been more satisfying..never said or felt that before. The flagging staff were amazing... positive yet aware of what they were bringing to the table. I think the owner was there..a rotund, beefy bearded guy dressed as a chef..doubt he knew where the kitchen was or what it was for..youngsters cooking and serving up the fare at around the minimum wage. The highlight was the bread...but they ran out of it.. it's a small plates establishment..and that's being generous..the £16 paella saucer of tastelessness took gold..at least it was not offensive to taste buds. What followed was a late night highlight in a local pub..a Boy George tribute followed by a gourmet dirty doner courtesy of Queens Kebab in Ramsgate. Kebbles or The Jetty are the places I'd recommend in Broadstairs for good grub.

The food here is excellent, using absolutely top quality ingredients and prepared to perfection. It's a small plates sort of place, they recommend choosing around 3 per person, and each will be served as soon as it's ready. I found each dish to be perfectly balanced with herbs, garnishes and dressings, and it was nice to concentrate on each plate one at a time. The service was excellent. It's a small restaurant and booking is essential. In terms of downsides, it is quite expensive. Each dish costs approximately £8-£25, and I'd say for a decent evening meal you're looking at about £60 per person with a drink or two. The nature of the menu is also a little short on carbs, and the food can be quite rich.

Really like the concept of small plates. Restaurant recommends 5-6 plates between two people and it’s perfect amount to share. Sourdough bread is fantastic and really compliments some of the dishes. Our bread came with butter and salt, absolutely delicious. Jersey Rock Oysters - fresh, clean and huge. I have never seen oysters that huge. My partner really enjoyed them. Scarlet prawn ceviche, garlic chilli, Kentish rateseed oil - one of the best plates we ordered. The prawn is tender and well seasoned. The crispy garlic and chilli just heavenly delicious and goes soo well with the sourdough bread. I cleaned my whole plate. Courgette flower, goats curd, honey - what a surprise. I have had courgette flower before but this is something else. The filling and crispy flower is just perfect match. Cornish mackerel, tiger prawns, mussels, sobrassada paella - full on flavours, generous with seafood, if anything maybe slightly dry. But it didnt stop us to finish it. UK ex dairy sirloin (medium rare), mushroom xo butter - really nice, tender, well seasoned and cooked stake. (Medium rare is the default way they cook their stake - can’t order any orther way) The whole dinner was very nice, all foods were nicely seasoned, well cooked from fresh produce and delicious. Atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely. It’s rather small and busy restaurant, so little tip is to turn up on time not earlier.

THIEVES - As a local resident, I have supported this restaurant on numerous occasions and was due to eat there again in December 2022 with my wife. We had a £75 voucher for Wyatt & Jones bought for us by a family member and we were going to use this as part payment towards our evening. However, on the day leading up to our reservation, my Dad was taken seriously ill and was rushed into Medway Hospital, where sadly, he’s remained ever since. The voucher was due to expire, so I attempted to contact the restaurant directly by telephone to explain the situation. This wasn’t possible as they never answered the phone or provided a way of leaving a voice message. I therefore cancelled the booking in the method the restaurant suggested, to avoid losing our £50 deposit. I spent the next week or so focusing on visiting my Dad in hospital, but tried multiple times during this period and the following weeks to contact the restaurant to ask them if they would be willing to extend the expiry date, even just into January, due to the unforeseen circumstances of our cancellation. After about 20 phone calls and a several ignored emails, I finally got this response: “Unfortunately we are unable to redeem expired vouchers or extend vouchers beyond the 12 month period after their purchase date. This is a standard across the industry for vouchers but also after the expired period we are unable to enter the voucher codes due to expiration. My apologies. Jan Wyatt.” I was completely taken back by her response, as I’m well aware that Wyatt & Jones is a family run business and they could easily have shown sympathy and offered us a goodwill gesture, at least. There was no mention of my Dad’s ill health in her email, it was cold, selfish and uncaring. She says that it’s standard across the industry for vouchers not to be extended beyond their expiry date, but this is plainly a lie and I for one have had a hotel voucher and a restaurant voucher extended well past their initial expiry dates and this has become common practice since the pandemic. I cannot understand why Wyatt & Jones would lower themselves to “steal” that £75, which is basically what they’ve done. That voucher was bought and paid for by somebody dear to us in our family and we cannot bring ourselves to tell them what has happened. Wyatt & Jones clearly needs training as to how to treat their customers. This email, which you receive automatically after any correspondence you send them, very much sets the tone for the way they manage their business: “If you wish to bring a dog you can now book via our website, we have three options that are dog friendly, if you can not see a button for a dog friendly table they are all fully booked. Dogs will only be accepted if they are booked on the dog friendly tables. WE DO NOT ACCEPT CANCELLATIONS VIA EMAIL DUE TO THE EMAIL NOT BEING MONITORED 24 HRS A DAY. WE DO NOT TAKE BOOKINGS FOR MORE THAN 4 PEOPLE. MULTIPLE BOOKINGS FOR ONE PARTY WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. CHILDREN AND ADULTS MUST BE INCLUDED IN THE BOOKING. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PRAMS AND PUSHCHAIRS AND DO NOT HAVE HIGHCHAIRS AVAILABLE.” I will NEVER step foot in this restaurant again and would kindly ask anybody reading this review to stay away too.

We visited in august with family and found it overwhelming stuffy and hot due to the open kitchen. We were greeted by the very friendly manager and seated in the upper section. We found the food underwhelming and prices too high for the quality. The...

What a wonderful meal. The restaurant, located close to the harbour, looks great and definitely invites you in (although you will need to book - even in November it was full). The menu consists of several small plates which are served when they are ready...

Fantastic restaurant with some of the best food we’ve had in years - well worth a trip out of London. More than happy to adapt the menu to create incredible vegan options and happy to let us bring our little dog along.

We had a stand out meal here. Courgette in flowers stuffed with goats cheese and the layered fried potatoes were amazing and deserts to die for. Will be back

One of our favourite places. Now offering small plates rather than dinners but this is exciting because now you can try as much of the menu as you like :)

Amazing food! This little restaurant can be found right at the head of the beach and it offers small sharing plates of which most people order 2-3 dishes each. We went here for a birthday lunch and the food was worthy of it being on the Michelin guide. Not quite Michelin stars level but more than enough to be listed. Obviously this does come at a cost though but still, 5 stars for the delicious food.
