The food was absolutely incredible. So fresh and really authentic. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Gave suggestions on the food which increased the experience. Looking forward to going back.

Been coming here for about 8/9 years or so both takeaway and sitting in. Owners are lovely people, their staff are always really pleasant. Food is always lovely and has been consistently good for years. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

We had a family birthday celebration in Wudon last night. The food and service was amazing. We had a selection of small plates and main courses and everyone loved the food. The prawns were the best I've had. Will definitely be back.

Lovely Japanese restaurant on Great Western Road in the trendy heart of Glasgow's West End. Stopped for a bite to eat on a wet and windy winter's evening. We received a warm welcome and were seated immediately. The menu is compact (which is a good thing, as they cook a small selection very well). I had rice with sirloin steak and my companions, chicken and prawn respectively. The food was great and very, very tasty 🤩 I will come again next time I am in Glasgow 😎

I ordered on Deliveroo. shrimps noodles and salted edamame and all was good.

This is a good place but some parts of the menu are misleading. They present the black bean ramen as “stir fried” but they are actually served as soupy as ramen normally are. Which is now what I expected when I ordered.

The food can be a bit spicier and the tables a bit bigger.

Was here for dinner with friends recently and had a delicious fresh meal. Would most definitely recommend. I had the salt and pepper chicken for starter followed by sweet chilli chicken and some teppenyaki sirloin steak and all were delicious. The prawn crackers were lovely too

First visit here for a pre-theatre meal (preconcert rather at Oran Mor nearby). We reserved online although the place wasn’t busy at 5 pm. The service was very good and so was the food. For starters we have ordered warteeps (dumplings with pork, prawns and mushrooms) and wontons - both were excellent although just three of them on a plate. For main courses we have had chicken katzu and chicken ramen which were tasty too (and the portions were big). We shared coco banana dessert. I think that those who like Asian fusion food will not be disappointed.

A fantastic meal! Excellent, very attentive staff. Had the king prawn katsu which was amazing topped and came with lots of sauce which other katsu curries often lack. Also had the spicy fries, veg dumplings and edamame which were all great. Would 100% recommend to a friend. Will be returning. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It's a top tier wee establishment serving a carefully curated range of authentic dishes from around Asia, paired with exquisitely crafted custom cocktails, teas both hot and iced as well as selected beers and soft drinks. They take their craft seriously and I always feel comfortable taking friends with allergies and varied dietary requirements there. Ambience is lovely and chilled out too. Definitely a favourite of mine!

Another fantastic visit to Wudon. Reserved a table for Sunday for 7 people for a friends 30th. Staff were welcoming and friendly, we had brought a cake along and they were happy to help present this to our friend and join in singing Happy Birthday. Food was amazing and served fresh and hot. This being another reason why we visit when we can ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a family run business, and some families shouldn't work together. We booked for a large party weeks in advance, and asked if we needed a set menu / pre order or deposit and the person we chatted with was very relaxed and happy that we just needed to come. Wind forward to less than a week before the booking and a different, very forceful, anxious and demanding family member called to change just about everything on our booking, meaning I would have to contact 27 people and get back to them with information, during our week on holiday. She was really rude to the point of offensive, clearly used to getting her own way and overly assertive. It was hard to get a word in at all. Given her attitude, and how unpleasant she was and would likely be on the evening of our party, we scrabbled around and booked elsewhere nearby. I would not recommend Wudon for a group booking at all. Too stressful and unpredictable.

The service was excellent. The hosts were very accommodating to irregular food allergy. We were very thankful. The Chicken Katsu was delicious and the Tom Yum egg fried rice was also excellent. Highly recommend this place for some much needed Asian food:)

Have been eating here both sit in and takeaway for the last 5+ years and have never had anything except a good meal. Service is always brilliant as well with a real welcoming feel. One of the west end’s best spots and one of our go to places 👌🏻

My family and I have been to Wudon twice in the span of a month. The food is absolutely amazing!! The Tom Yum soup is delicious, the teppanyaki is amazing, the prawn crackers.. Everything was fresh, delicious, hot and authentic. The service is great as well. Wudon is definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Glasgow

Unfortunately despite lovely staff and a nice atmosphere, the food was pretty average. The beef small plate arrived and we both felt disappointed. It was a tiny portion of greasy beef, no garnish to make it look appetising and could have done with a dipping sauce. The mains were better but my tofu arrived just sliced and a little cold in my rice, I was hoping for nice fried chunks to add some texture but it was a bit mushy - this is just my preference though. My partner enjoyed his chicken dish but after leaving we both agreed, unfortunately that there are better places offering similar food and we probably wouldn’t hurry back. The prices are a little high for what you are served.

Lovely ramen here! Staff very friendly too, however only negative would be that it felt very rushed.

Returned to Wudon after long, long, covid-caused delay. Apprehensive; as we knew it had been revamped. Didn't need to worry 🙂! Still as friendly and efficient as ever. New décor was soft and pleasant on the eye. Broader, pan-Asian menu was tasty, suitably priced, and imaginative. "Wee Plates" were a perfect introduction to the food now available. We shall return 🤩!!

We came in for lunch on a quiet weekday lunch. The restaurant had just opened up and we were the first customers in, so no trouble having our choice of seats. We ordered a lemon tea, Black Bean Ramen with Tofu and a Tom Yam with Chicken. The lemon tea was just about the weakest lemon tea I can remember having in a long time. You tell by looking at the photo just how weak the tea was, and there definitely wasn’t enough lemon. There was one slice of lemon in the glass and I literally thought that was all the lemon they used. The sauce in my ramen was much too thick, making the noodles stick together. The taste was fine though, just disappointed by the presentation. Overall, I was a bit disappointed. Came here on the basis of all the excellent reviews. The lemon tea was poor and IMHO, my ramen should not be sticking together. I’m giving Wudon an average because my friend thought her Tom Yam was good.

Some really great Japanese food! The broccoli with sweet chilli sauce is amazing as is the laksa main! And the karaage, Japanese fries and black bean ramen were very tasty too! Finished off with some lovely desserts too! Def one to visit!

Really nice place! The serving staff were really nice and friendly! I was alone and it was nice to sit by the window and people watch. I was served very quickly and food arrived within minutes! I had the Crispy Prawn Dumplings, the beef udon and chocolate mochi. Yummy! It all tasted really nice and fresh (incl the veggies in the udon! :D ). Would recommend!

We ate here as a family of four at lunchtime, partly because unlike many Japanese restaurants, it has a children's menu. First the good stuff - the starters were amazing, the prawn wontons were to die for and the pork, prawn and mushroom dumplings were lovely too. Edamame beans were nice, but the portion was small and expensive. The service was fantastic, the 2 ladies were so nice, super-attentive and really friendly - even for Glasgow! The missing things - the kids meals were literally just chicken and sticky rice, no sauce included and no veggies, if you want sauce, it's an extra £1.50 each for a tiny bowl of sweet chilli or satay, not great. The waitress even said that the kids meals were really dry! The katsu curry was really tasty, but again missed the leaves and pickle shown in the pictures. It was nice though. Pudding was ok, hot chocolate roll were more pastry than chocolate, but the coconut ice cream was nice. Would I go back? Maybe if I was in the area anyway, but I wouldn't make a special trip. It's a shame because a few wee tweaks and the annoying stuff would be gone and this would be a fab restaurant, but for over £100 for 2 adults and 2 kids, it needs to be better.

Visited on Saturday afternoon. Ordered a variety of dishes to share. Food came very quickly however everything was very hot and tasted as though it was fresh. Had a variety of dishes and everything was delicious. Katsu curry was tasty and shared lots of small dishes which were all absolutely lovely. Service great and will definitely return.

Staff were very nice and service was good. However, the food was mediocre and was overly expensive for the quality. No authentic flavours, very bland. The chicken that came with the Teppanyaki was super thin as if a normal chicken breast had been cut in half, not very substantial. With the likes of Silla and E-Sushi with close by, I probably wudon’t come back.

Unfortunately sushi is now off the menu and the rest of the menu more fusion...still fast and friendly service but the whole experience is a bit "cheaper"...nowhere in the West End for sushi now :(

Udon noodles come in a great big bowl. Lots of sides to choose from. Staff very attentive. Cocktails aren't very inspired, but there's at least two on the menu worth trying. Lighting a bit harsh.

The restaurant opens even on New Year’s Day. People are nice while food is average.

Had a mango salad here that was just fantastic...I've tried to create it at home and don't know the secret because it just wasn't the same! I've eaten here a few times and it's all good. Really lovely service as well.

Really Disappointed to be leaving this review, My Girlfriend and I have been here a good few times before and always been happy with the food. We hadn't been for the last maybe 2 years and thought we'd revisit. We arrived to a very quiet restaurant about 9pmish so was quite late. Ordered two mains and three small starter plate and 2 cold drinks. Food was pretty average and not what it used to be. I had Thai red curry ramen which was flavourless and had very little substance to it, a few baby corn pieces and chicken and beans.....really not a quality Thai red curry, the japanese chips(Frozen chips with seasoning on them) were very average and not really Japanese. The other food was also average. The bill came to £60 for 2 mains and 3 smallish sides and 2 cokes.........I understand prices have gone up but it truly was mediocre at best......Probably won't be back sadly because we lived this place.

A good range of dishes from Asian cuisine. Starters were not overly expensive and main courses were excellent value. The staff were attentive, removing used dishes promptly. Our order was taken promptly and served equally promptly. The decor and layout was quite basic and the...

Good service but disappointing portion sizes given the price. Very nicely decorated And food did taste nice. Also they serve highschool children at lunch on weekdays and they are a huge pain, standing right outside the exit preventing people from leaving.

Schick, modern und angenehme Atmosphäre! Sehr nette Bedienung und super fix. Vegane Option für die Classic Udong Nudeln, super lecker. Es gibt auch Cocktails, die haben wir nicht probiert, sahen bei den anderen Gästen aber sehr gut aus. Absolut zu empfehlen im hippen Westend, nahe dem botanischen Garten.

Delicious food, very quick, great menu. Food is perfect every time. But sometimes service can be a little curt, you can feel hurried as your plate or glass is whipped away as you take the last swig or mouthful. Super efficient and great if you are in a rush. It is refreshing in some ways as some places are the opposite.

We went for Saturday lunch and were completely blown away - fantastic food and fantastic service.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I'm sure it would have been fine, had it not been for the rudest server I've ever encountered. She scolded me like a child because I didn't know that the dish I ordered was battered, and I can't eat it for medical reasons. Do not go here, because no one deserves to be spoken to the way she spoke to me, horrible.

Food was very good, BUT before we finished 6 times within 5 minutes we were asked when we finish. Very impolite because no rush was necessary since many table were still free.

Very good place! The food was tasty and the service was fast and nice. They are pet friendly and our dog enjoyed his time there. They brought a water plate for him without even asking for it.

My husband and I came here for dinner last week. Much to our disappointment, we wont be coming back nor recommending this place to anyone. We ordered their ramen and udon bowls along with a side of veggie gyoza. The gyoza was still frozen inside, absolutely inedible. Really appalled that they would charge close to £7 for 4 frozen gyozas. The ramen, if you can call it that, is ramen-like noodles tossed in a sauce. Same with the udon. Everything is tossed in a sauce. With 6 very thin slices of tofu. We thought we were going out, not having to cook at home, but the moment we went we had a proper meal. This place is a joke. I’ve tried fantastic fusion restaurants. This is by far not one of them.

Definatelly not what it was 3 years ago. It is just an ordinary Asian food. In fact my local takeaway makes better noodles and better starters. Would I recommend it. The answer is no for the price they charge and the quality they provide you are better off with your local takeaway.

Was in for some lunch. Tried out the lunchboxes and they were great. Staff really helpful and nice too. Also I will be back especially for the chicken and kimchi sushi.

A great wee restaurant with amazing food and friendly, attentive staff. I'd highly recommend trying the sweet chilli broccoli, absolutely tremendous stuff.

Food was nothing special. Decor and atmosphere quite nice. We were really being rushed to leave though, despite not being particularly close to closing time nor completely full, which was really off-putting. Had the distinct impression that it's not a place where staff are happy.

Food is ok, but it lacked seasoning and the sauces felt like they were cheap. I wouldn’t eat here again
