It was so damn good I love the sushi. This is a family favourite, great food, great customer service. Honestly, the waitresses are so nice!!! ❤️❤️❤️

First visit to this place yesterday. It’s a cute restaurant, the waitress was very friendly and the food was well presented. However, the tempura lacked flavour and was slightly undercooked, the rice in the bento was stale, the miso soup was lukewarm, the chicken teriyaki was cold and bone dry and the salad was covered in overly strong dressing making it inedible. Such a shame! Fried tofu was great though. Unfortunately we won’t be returning.

So delicious and at much more affordable prices than most places. I absolutely love their miso soup which comes with the main meal. Super lovely staff too, 10/10 recommend 😊

Holy moly this has to be the best sushi I have ever had! Reasonably priced, great service and gosh I just can't get over the quality. The Zen Maki and teriyaki rolls were crazy good. The miso soup is delicious too. Perfect little low key date spot. Will definitely be back for more!

The food was really tasty and the menu was a rich one. The service was really good and quick. The staff was quite friendly and welcoming. Definitely a ‘must go’ if you are visiting the area.

Food and staff excellent, have been going there for years. The toilet is tiny and the white painted door on the inside is so dirty especially where most people touch so even if you washed your hand you would be sure to get dirt on them. Also their front doors aren't closing so we often sit in jackets and get up multiple times to close the doors.

Excellent service at this local sushi place. The venue was very clean and the staff super nice. Food was perfectly cooked, presented and the flavours and quality of produces were excellent. We ordered the Octopus salad that was a complete new experience of flavour, textures and flavour combinations. We got the Wow roll, Dragon Roll and the Crazy roll. All of them were delicious. We also got the pickles and the chicken Udon noodles. For dessert, the banana tempura which was supposed to come with vanilla Icecream but I asked if it could be with salted caramel and the lovely lady prepared it with salted caramel Icecream which made me even happier about the whole experience. The moshi Icecream was crazily delicious. I recommend this place a lot. The prices an quality are excellent. Well done WOW guys!

This is an authentic Japanese sushi restaurant run by a lovely Japanese family. It is very good value also. I would definitely recommend this to any sushi lovers.

We dined here last week. The staff were nice but the food was really very disappointing. Not authentic Japanese food at all. We won't be returning.

If you know a specific dish and within the boundaries that the restaurant can provide, the chef may be able to accommodate.

Was surprised that it was so quiet in the restaurant as the food was really top notch. The two waitresses were lovely friendly and polite. Everything we had was totally delicious from the starters to desserts. A major shout out to the tempura banana which were a truly scrumptious delight. Washed down with copious amounts of sake, thoroughly enjoyed this meal and look forward to going back soon.

Beautifully presented and delicious food in friendly local restaurant. First time but definitely not the last. Food was perfect as was the service. We had tempura, sushi, shashimi, teriyaki to share, and drinks and dessert. Can honestly recommend everything.

We have been customers for many, many years, as a treat for family celebrations. Just spent nearly £100 for my daughter's birthday and unfortunately had one dish with very little sauce and after asking for extra pickled ginger, we got none:( Something has changed as the quality of the order was not the same as we have known. Such a shame but I am not sure I shall be ordering again, very disappointing

Family dinner with older teens - why go to Wagamama with the real deal here in N8. Excellent service and a wide Japanese menu catering to all tastes.

Went yesterday. Overall it’s OK, and the service is excellent However, value/price is not great. We had two sashimi Bentos & two starters. Some of the fish was good, another not so much. Complimentary miso soup was ok, perhaps too much water and very little tofu. It felt those you get from the sachet.

This is one of our regular neighbourhood stops. The sushi rolls are delicious and there’s a great variety of rotating specials. The owners are friendly and have great hospitality.

Very nice and cosy place. Decent selection of sushi and other Japanese cousine like katsu curries. A tiny bit on the plus on prices but overall very decent.

Ordered a delivery from Wow during the Coronavirus lockdown. As a regular customer in Wow’s restaurant, we were not sure how the food would travel. However, the experience was excellent. The order was taken efficiently, the delivery arrived when they said it would, and the food was just about as good as it gets in the restaurant (which is excellent). Perhaps the tempura coating on the prawns and the gyoza were just slightly less crispy than in the restaurant, but it was marginal difference. Otherwise the meal was perfect, and the donburi was served in a takeaway pot that almost looked like authentic Japanese tableware. In these times, this meal made us both very happy. Well done Wow. I really hope other regular customers will try Wow for a Lockdown treat!

I've been eating to Wow every so often over the last 10years. Recently the very powerful smell of mothballs has over ridden our experience dining in the restaurant. You can't eat fish with that strong smell in the air. When mentioning it to the staff they tried to say it was the hot saki brewing, which was definitely not the case. Customers at the table opposite confirmed it as a mothball smell as well. ---- This is a real shame because we were looking forward to enjoying Wow's good food, but couldn't stay because of the smell.

Came for a celebratory dinner, apart from the gyozas being so good that we had some for dessert, the udon is as always superior to most other noodles. We’d recommend all tempura from soft shell crab to sweet potato. But the service shined above all. We probably used up all the world’s supply of green tea without an unkind glance. We always love it here and always come back much to their disappointment ;)

Pound for pound this is THE best Japanese food we've eaten in London, it's way better than other better known restaurants in Hampstead for example which cost at least 20% more. the quality of the food is exemplary and well worth the visit. The comments about ambience are right, it lacks a natural warmth to make it a first choice to spend a leisurely evening with friends and whilst the staff are not rude a little more finesse on dealing with customers would not go amiss! But for the food alone, its top notch!

We go to WOW a lot. The food is so excellent, always fresh and delicious. But the atmosphere is cold and lacks a sense of comfort. The staff never recognise us even though we eat there regularly. They need to fix the design then it would be a perfect restaurant.

Solo quiero decir que anoche tuve otra comida fantástica en Wow. He estado viniendo aquí desde 2011 y es el único restaurante que nunca ha fallado en ofrecer. La comida, el servicio y el precio todavía ponen en vergüenza a todos los demás lugares en un gran radio. Mi novia y yo teníamos literalmente dos mesas de platos increíbles y una botella de Prosecco, y la factura era de 63. No puedo elogiar el servicio y la profesionalidad de todo el personal lo suficiente. Ellos merecen la alabanza eterna. Sin lugar a dudas, es mi lugar favorito para comer y si no has experimentado la comida japonesa y no vives en el norte de Londres, debes venir aquí. Gracias a todo el personal y al gerente / propietario por responder a mi última revisión.

He visitado un par de veces y he tenido una deliciosa comida cada vez. Es un restaurante pequeño pero no le falta ambiente. A un precio muy razonable y una gran selección de artículos en el menú, incluyendo opciones de sushi. El servicio fue muy eficiente y tener un pequeño aperitivo gratis fue un buen toque.

Me encanta la comida japonesa, pero la comida aquí es increíble. Nunca he comido sushi, pero Dios mío, fue increíble. Me encanta y las goyozas son las mejores, la calidad es 100%. El pollo katsu era perfecto y el personal es amable y educado. No puedo recomendar este lugar lo suficiente

This is one place that makes Crouch End worth going to and as always the food and service is awesome and you can experience some real Japanese cuisine that isn’t hugely expensive. A bottle of wine, two heavenly crispy squid starters and a chicken katsu and beautiful sashimi main was £52. They don’t automatically add the service charge either but should do because all aspects of the service are brilliant. Check out their daily specials board. Wow have been delivering amazing food for years and they never fail to disappoint. Thanks to our waiter who was kind and attentive and a real professional. Will be back very soon.

The ingredients are so fresh it was such a delicious meal. Especially if you like sashimi, that was my fav by far. We will be back!

Pedí para llevar y 25 minutos tarde (pedí una hora antes de que quería entregado). Cuando apareció el conductor dijo ¿qué orden porque no tengo un recibo. Cuando la abrimos había dos negros enormes pelos dentro y lo que parecía un poco de papel higiénico - fotos adjuntas - que querían esperar para otra entrega de la misma, solo pedi un reembolso y conseguimos algo más. Asquerosa.

Can’t fault it, my favourite sushi place. Been going there for years to eat in or Sunday take always. It’s just as good as a take away as it is to eat in and has never let me down. Fresh and friendly, highly recommend it. Just go!

I live close to WOW and have always had good food in the restaurant. However last Saturday I ordered a delivery. My young daughter choked on her food. She spat out a large metal wire from her Tofu steak and immediately after found parts of a blue rubber band in her rice!! We reported this immediately. There were apologies on the phone and offers of new food, but as you may imagine this was unwanted! NOT GOOD ENOUGH!

We have been twice to this restaurant. The service was very kind and the food excellent. Big plates with amazing prices. We are definitely coming back soon.

I don't eat meat but I will have fish occasionally so I had the ika Karage - the grilled squid along with the fried tofu both of which I enjoyed. My friend is not a bit tofu fan but hoovered up the majority of the squid - he is from Greece and knows good seafood when it hits his belly lol. He went on to have the Chicken Katsu Curry with Miso Soup - both of which he tried for the first time. He is very picky about what he eats and I was a bit concerned new cuisine would not be to his liking but he finished the miso and absolutely demolished the curry! I had the Tendon bento - seafood tempura on bed of rice which I enjoyed although I could not eat it all as the portion was overly generous!!

This is our local, round the corner, favourite restaurant. We must go here at least once a month... Easy to get to, easy to park and always a pleasure to go to cos the food is just too quality. We always try to have different...

We took some friends to wow for dinner on saturday evening, we order the food and waited almost half hour, we ask one of the waitress for our food and she say is coming not in a polite way. Service were slow the food wasn't...

It continues to impress me with the quality of sushi,sashiimi etc . All very good value and they even bring me gluten free soy sauce. You can have a very good lunch for two for less than thirty pounds .

Probablemente esta fue mi cuarta vez en Wow únicamente japonés. El servicio parece haber mejorado desde mi anterior visita, la camarera japonesa que nos servía era sonriente y atento. Fue una noche concurrida en el restaurante, pero la espera fue fácilmente soportable. El punto culminante de la cena era la comida: empezamos con un plato de pan, una explosión de sabores y texturas! La ensalada de pulpo en dados desde la junta fue otro ganador ofertas! El donburi que tenia como principal también era bueno, aunque los aperitivos robaron la mostrar para mí.

Soy un gran fan de la comida japonesa, y llegamos a leer comentarios esperando a ser excelente. No podríamos haber estado más equivocados.

After a wonderful evening at the Spaniard where we were recommended this restaurant, we ended up here in a group and tasted loads of things on their menu and weren't disappointed. Small, cute, no nonsense food, tasty. Recommended

I love this place. As a great fan of sushi I usually try new places every weekend, this one is on the very top of my list. Great sushi, great service and well presented dishes, looks like fine cuisine but with a reasonable price. The best I've tried so far.

This is my first time going to a Japanese restaurant- at first I had doubts. But this was one of the best meals I've ever had!!

We ate here on a Tuesday night and most tables were occupied; not a bad sign.Large menu of Japanese favourites.Good sashimi and cooked seafood.We ordered about 8 dishes and were surprised that sashimi was not served first.Nevertheless we enjoyed everything.

It is great sushi, super fresh salmon sashimi and amazing tuna sashimi with poppe seeds. You have to try the mango ice cream balls they are amazing. Seriously one of the best giapanese place in london. Price is also good and fare :)

I don't pretend to be a connoisseur of Japanese food but I do really enjoy it and had the pleasure of enjoying it in Tokyo as well. I thought this restaurant was amongst the best I have been to in London. Really fresh food, presented really well, everything was delicious and the staff were just so friendly. Of course the sashimi can probably never be on a par with what you get in Japan, but failing that, still found my tuna fresh and high quality....really good value for money too. Will be back!

Crouch End's best sushi restaurant - Ohba Leaf - has closed. Wow is a good alternative. I've had the sushi twice here and it's fresh and well presented, and the selection is pretty good.Service was also good. Much improved from previous visits.

After our favorite sushi place in Crouch End closed down, we're trying to find a replacement and ordered delivery from WOW Simply Japanese. We ordered different kinds of sashimi and some rolls. Tuna and Salmon sashimi were well cut but tuna pieces were rather a bit small. Yellow tail sashimi was a total let down as it was seared and slices were way to thin. Spider, spicy tuna and tempura roll were all good.Even though we asked 2x on the phone for extra ginger it was not added to our order.

An other great evening at Wow. Food is better and better and the service is also improving. Food is very fresh and full of flavour

Always excellent quality and the pricing is extremely reasonable. I can't fault the service or food... Best Japanese in the area.

We both chose the WOW Bento Box which we thought was a good way to sample a range of tastes and textures. From high to low: the sashimi was fresh and beautifully presented, the sticky rice was acceptable, the tempura prawns were fine but I couldn't see the point of the extra vegetables and the teriyaki chicken was overcooked and dry. Our green tea was dull and soupy. The seasoning and the flavour of the dipping sauce were too bland and the overall effect was unexciting.

Just came home and we loved it, close to us easy parking after 5pm place opens at 6pm!! Small and cosy so do book!! Friendly atmosphere and good service.. the food was just perfect in size , portion, presentation..price....all thumbs up!!! Defo going back and recommending it... 8/10!!! We where pleased...very!!

Me and my wife goes to wow quite often to eat, the food is always fresh and soooo tasty.Also there is one waitresses is very friendly, pleasant and bubbly, she always clear the dishes and give us a fresh plate, her service is excellent.( welcome back mel ).

Shocking what we received and the price we paid for this. The prawns on the nigiri were so dry and tough, the gyoza were wet and slimy and mushed. After reading the reviews and the ratings this place had I thought it was a sure thing but I am mortified at what we were sent and how much we were charged for such terrible quality. Majority was thrown away and what was tried was not at all pleasant.

Service was somewhat disappointing with a muddled approach to dealing with gluten free requests and also recommendations. Ordered sushi and some mains but was disappointed with the crab special that was no more than a couple of crab sticks, some sliced avocado and a pile of salad. Sushi lacked refinement and flavour. A plus side the sashimi was fresh but overall just lacked that wow factor.

金曜の夜に予約なしで行きました。割と予約で混んでいたようで予約の時間までに出てくれたらOKということで入ることが出来ました。正直な所、ロンドン郊外にある店なのであまり高い期待は持っていなかったのですが、日本人のスタッフもいて、本物らしい和食でした！揚げ出し豆腐がおいしかったです。お店はローカルの人がほとんどで、子供連れのグループがお誕生日会をやっていたりとアットホームな雰囲気でした。今度は予約をして行きたいと思います！

Came with my husband for some sushi, and it was fresh and beautifully served, the waiter was attentive and the chef catered to our needs. The only thing that was slightly off putting was when I ordered spicy mayo, I was giving sweet chilli sauce instead and that sweetness can get sickening after a few bites of sushi.

We often visit Wow's early on a Saturday evening as a family of 3. We book an early table as we have a 7 year old boy and do not like to stay beyond 8:30pm. We have always had excellent service. We tend to pick very similar food from the main menu. The sushi has always been excellent and is well presented. Definitely the best Japanese restaurant in Crouch End for quality of food and service.

First off let me say the waiting staff were brilliant, very friendly and attentive, cannot fault them at all. The food however was just average. We ordered a selection of sushi, both nigiri and rolls and a chicken teriyaki bento. The flavours in the sushi were a little clumsy and lacked the finesse of fresh sushi. The chicken teriyaki is the most bizarre I have ever had. There was no crispy skin with the sweet sticky sauce on it, the sauce itself was runny and thin and overall was fairly tasteless. The chicken itself tasted and ate like a frozen processed chicken breast. The agedashi tofu was fantastic, but that was the only food from the whole meal I would be comfortable recommending. However I don't think I'll be going back.
