Woodstone Pizza and Grill in Allerdale

Overpriced for extremely average food. We were sadly disappointed with our food. The pizza didn’t taste woodfired and the steak was tough.

Delicious! We enjoyed our meal here very much. We ordered garlic "bread" and cheese, more like a cheese pizza, very good. One of us had a pizza, the other cannelloni. The cannelloni was absolutely wonderful. Perfectly cooked. Pizza good, too. Nice wine list. Excellent service, very friendly.

Very, very average pizza for the price. I have had better supermarket pizza. My advice, go elsewhere if you care about pizza.

We went here whilst on holiday in the area. We were greeted with friendly staff who were attentive throughout our meal. The pizzas were delicious and piping hot. The food was a reasonable price and it was quick service.

This was our third Easter weekend visit. The staff were great as always but the quality had dropped. The prices were shocking. 6 ok 12" inch pizzas, 3 side salads (£7.50 each) and 3 chips with 6 drinks was £190! So that worked out at £31 pp for basically pizza, you pay less in Leeds City Centre.

The staff were lovely ,but we were really shocked at the prices ! £15.90 for a 9 inch pizza . The basic Margarita was around £14 so just because we wanted a very small amount of veg and not meat on top it was two pounds extra . Sorry but we will never go back … The pizza for the size and the small amount of topping could have been around £10-11 maximum

We had Christmas Eve dinner here and the food was simply amazing! We had already visited the pizza and grill twice before when we were in Keswick, and it never disappointed. The place is small and cosy, and we would definitely visit again for its great food and lovely atmosphere.

We visited last night. We were booked in for 5 pm but turned up at 4:30 as we had done a long walk and were starving. We were kindly accommodated. The girls serving us were lovely. The food was fantastic a thumbs up from all and we wished we had come earlier in the week. We will come again next time we are in Keswick. The chicken kabab and pizzas were amazing the garlic bread and fries were superb.

We didn't sit in. Wanted a pizza but we had our dog with us. Stumbled upon this restaurant that did take out . Pizzas were delicious.

I've been to Wood Stone Pizza restaurant a number of times now over several years. It's a good pizza spot and you won't be disappointed. Read reviews about the base lacking depth and seasoning which is partly true, though, fresh ingredients make up for this.

Food was poor quality - very expensive for what it is. Staff were pleasant and welcoming and atmosphere good.

Pizzas are fantastic but frankly if you are going for something else on the menu you will get better value for money elsewhere. Nice atmosphere, nice staff but overpriced. Had the price matched the food/drink I would have given a much higher review rating. Pizzas are special, but everything else is very average. I wouldn’t pay the same money again, not with the other options available in the town.

We visited this restaurant with our dog on a cold night at the end of January. It’s quite expensive but our garlic bread and stone baked pizzas were excellent. Well worth a visit.

Absolutely superb food, delicious and freshly cooked we loved it for our first visit

Called here on a Friday evening in January for dinner with a friend. It is a very popular restaurant. We had booked a table, whilst it wasn't busy at 6.30, that soon changed around 7pm and onwards. It looks like they allow 90mins per table, so it can feel like they want the table back and you're getting hurried to leave, which made us feel a little uncomfortable. It would have got 5 stars otherwise. The food was very tasty and enjoyable, the pizzas were well cooked, and chips and fries were freshly cooked. There was only a limited selection of puddings available, mainly cheesecake, with or without ice cream. Prices aren't the cheapest. it's £6.70 for a pint of lager, but on the whole, it's worth it. We would call here again.

This restaurant is located in the town area, so parking is a bit of problem nearby the restaurant, and there is a private car park which is about a 5-10 min walk away. We did make a reservation for our table as there was 7 of us, but had to wait an additional 10 mins to get our table and even then, we were assignrc another table which wasn't the one they had allocated originally for us. Otherwise food was tasty, albeit they had run out of some key ingredients which made a difference to us as we're limited with vegetarian dishes, but we did go back home with full belly's and made the most out of the evening.

A lovely place, atmosphere and staff. I ordered a calzone which unfortunately I was disappointed about but when mentioning this to the staff they acted immediately! Had a great chat with the team and the young apprentice cooking and we rebuilt it together which was fabulous. So good to push back kindly and get such a positive response. The prices are high, but I’ve seen that a lot nowadays, hence I suppose it being so quiet - it’s hard to balance! But the service proved to be great and the place had a lovely feel. £6.50 for a peroni in the North though…. Ouch!

Really tasty thin base pizza. Servers were good. Quiet restaurant just needs the music up a notch.. Bit pricey. £4 extra for a little bit of pineapple!

Very expensive for what it is, really disappointed as the restaurant looks really nice, staff are lovely but the pizza was really poor and bland especially for the £19.

The food was great, we loved the Greek pizza, Vegetarian burger, wedges and fries were hot and crispy making it one of the best we had so far in UK. Lastly the roasted pistachio dairy ice cream was ❤️. Would plan to visit when in Keswick again.

Food was excellent, delicious so 5 star for that but I believe the best way to judge service is on how people deal with a problem, ever so slight issue with a pizza and it was dealt with brilliantly by both front of house and chefs….bang on so 5 star for that. Thank you 👍

Very expensive for what you received. Be real, is a thin base pizza with standard toppings worth £18?? This place is robbery. Suggest you just go to the takeaway nearby, which is also too expensive but actually cheaper for the same quality.

Freshly cooked woodfire pizza. Wedges hot and serves with a garlic dips which was very moreish. American hotshot an excellent choice. Welcoming and friendly service. £30 for a 12 inch pizza, wedges, dip and two waters.

Absolutely couldn’t be happier! Food and atmosphere was gorgeous , was a lovely date night 🥰 Huge thankyou to Paulina? she was so lovely and accommodating, made our entire night so much better.. The food was delicious, especially the T-rex pizza. Absolutely amazing. The burgers were pretty good too and the chips were to die for. Lovely staff, although they stared a lot lol.

We went in on a busy Sat evening, and hadn't booked but they still found us a table! The service was great and the food was delicious, you can see the pizzas being cooked which was lovely. They had lots of option of size and toppings, including make your own and 50/50 split ones. Will definitely be going again!

Lovley place, kind staff, pizzas had great smoky tastes, We had Chicken Parma, T-rex pizza, and their special burger. It was all super tasty and one of the bests.

We visited on a busy Saturday night without a reservation, and the wonderful staff managed to find us a table with only a 45 minute wait. The decor was lovely and the open pizza kitchen was a brilliant touch. The pizzas were well cooked and there was lots of choice. Garlic mushrooms were delicious and the onion rings were crispy and flavourful. Fries were piping hot. Staff were attentive throughout which was amazing despite it been busy. Toilets were very clean.

Pizza beer and perfect service. I visit Woolstone Pizza & Flamegrill in Keswick almost every time when coming to Keswick for hiking.

We didn't even bother ordering the pizzas, all four of us had steaks and they were gorgeous, perfectly seasoned and cooked exactly to our specifications, highly highly recommend. The cheese garlic bread was also lovely, perfectly crisp crust, and the fried garlic mushrooms were juicy and flavorful.

We booked a table, which we highly recommend as it is a popular place. While full it didn't feel over crowded. We both opted for pizza, which was lovely, followed by a delicious ice cream. Service was friendly and welcoming.

We had a takeaway and it was one of the best pizzas I've had, thoroughly enjoyed every bite. 3 other family members were also impressed. Spicy wings on the side were actually spicy, I enjoyed the nice kick in them. Steak chips also a very nice addition with a good crunch and potato content. I asked for a garlic base to my pizza as I don't like tomato so much and they were very happy to oblige. This was immense, proper garlic added and they do not skimp on the meat (which were all very tasty). I had a 12 inch and left 2 slices as the content on the pizza was quite filling. We will definitely be back if in the area, and if I lived here this would be my local takeaway. Hats off to the chef.

Great food, can't fault it! Our steaks were delicious and perfectly cooked, and portion size was good. Service seemed a bit slow and unstructured, and although there appeared to be plenty of front of house staff, it took at least 10mins to get a jug of water and 2 glasses of wine when our order was taken. My husband was struggling with the heat in the restaurant and was keen to have a drink of water to help cool him down. It was a busy time when we visited, but felt that service could have been a bit more efficient. Saying that, we had a great meal celebrating our wedding the previous day, and we will go back when we are next in Keswick.

Do not get the ‘pizza’. The dough was quite tasteless, and the pizza lacked any sort of seasoning. The ingredients on top were fresh but it was like eating them on a flavourless cracker. It was not cooked by a pizza chef.

Rib eye steak 12oz. Wow, the taste was incredible! Can't recommend it enough. £25 good value with jacket potato and salad. Get in there if you get a chance!!

I rarely write a review but in this case I just feel the duty to warn others. I only finished my meal there because I was really hungry and didn't want to spend more time looking for other option. The "T-Rex" pizza I've had was awful, worst I've had in years. It was so bad that I've had to ask for garlic sauce (which was of a poor quality too, definitely not homemade) to stomach it and I don't remember last time when it happened. It was dry, bland, dough had a texture of a crispbread and absolutely tasteless. To call it a disappointment would be an understatement. I'd rather just have a frozen one. I guess when you have constant waves of tourists you don't have to care about quality of your food at all, right? It's a real shame as they have proper pizza oven, place is nice and staff is also welcoming.

I recommend booking a table, not on their useless website, but by calling as there was no way the website would entertain me booking for 3 people at any time. The food was delicious and service was excellent As always if you have food allergies speak to the staff before ordering

Average tasting food, bland. Garlic & cheese bread was good Mushroom and Broccoli Bake was tasteless, lacked bluecheese and sunstance Spag Boll was mild with hardly any mince and was a small portion. Check the bottom of your pizza because in my case it was one tenth black; you can get cancer of it. The waiter did nothing about it, e.g offering a new one, not even an apology or a reduction on the coffee.

Delicious pizza, but the smell of food would stick in your clothes maybe because the oven is so close to tables or they might have poor kitchen ventilation!!

Waited 45 minutes for starter after sitting down. And then half of our starters were given to the wrong table which delayed the food further (drinks were discounted after we complained). Seems like too much emphasis was placed on takeaway aspect of the business, distracting from booked, seated customers. Was very disappointed with the food, it seemed very expensive for the quality of the pizzas. The garlic bread tasted like a value brand purchase, not a freshly baked base.
