Woodruffs Organic cafe in Stroud

Ordered a salad to take away because it looked nice when I was walking past.Was given a vile mix of vinegar,olives and mushrooms not at all the same as the food that the people outside were eating.I asked for a salad. Why did I get such a revolting concoction soaking in vinegar which has upset my stomach?I'm in my 60s so this is not good.I think they gave me something called a "nourish bowl" which isn't a salad. I asked for a salad.I'm so ridiculously angry because I've eaten there before and it's been lovely.Yes I should've opened the box in the street but who does.

We popped by today whilst visiting Stroud market. The cafe is beautiful and in a great location. The food was nice too. However the staff were so grumpy! Almost as if they’d been forced to work there. Fingers crossed that it’ll be service with a smile next time!

Visited with my daughter today wonderful warm welcome, superb chai latte (homemade) delicious homemade butter bean stew and large, sumptuous take out vegan cakes to take home for my other daughter, wonderful well done and thank you Woodruffs! Recommend this lovely cafe to everyone vegan or otherwise!

This is real organic vegetarian food with interesting ingredients that we should all be enjoying every day, and you cannot find in any supermarket. Five of us found it by accident for coffee and came back for lunch, the two children also enjoyed the adult menu. I only wish it was where I live where pub food is often terrible, but we were on half term holiday.

In my opinion the best coffee in Gloucestershire. Also a great range of veggie/vegan options. I am always a fan of the quiche. Salads are always a pleasant surprise with various ingredients & flavours. I would recommend.

¡Qué buena sopa hoy! ! Como cliente intolerante al trigo y que prefiero no consumir azúcar, es muy bueno saber que siempre puedo conseguir pan y pasteles que se adapten a mis gustos: ¡el pastel de la pasión es simplemente magnífico! Me encanta este café, siempre hay un menú tan ingenioso y nunca me ha decepcionado.

Lovely spanakopita salad and berry and beetroot polenta slice which was reminiscent of summer pudding drizzled in dark chocolate. Loved the decor and the prices are very reasonable 10/10 would deffo visit again.

Wonderful outdoor seating and every Saturday fresh cakes. Always helpful staff who will make your coffee exactly how you like.

No sé qué salió mal en la cocina de Woodruffs hoy, pero las tostadas con champiñones y espinacas estaban espantosas servidas nadando en una salsa cremosa, lo que hizo que las tostadas fueran un desastre cuando la salsa de crema se vertió fue suficiente para llenar una taza de café vacía. los huevos escalfados estaban demasiado cocidos y duros. No creas que volveremos es una pena porque la semana anterior cuando comimos las mismas cosas estaban ricas.

Teníamos el 'cuenco nutritivo' x 2.El menú decía "arroz integral sazonado", pero en su lugar estaba frío, obviamente arroz blanco viejo. Sabía muy rancio y estaba frío de nevera, amarillento por el azafrán o la cúrcuma, pero definitivamente no era arroz integral.El humus no era humoso en absoluto, sino media cucharada de una especie de sustancia blanda, parecida a la mayonesa.Solo hubo un disco de berenjena en toda la comida.El resto eran lentejas frías e hinojo en escabeche.¡No estaba ni cerca de valer 9 en el menú regular! !Para ser honesto, estoy bastante sorprendido y asombrado de que los estándares de comida sean tan bajos aquí. El reclamo de Woodruff a la fama es ser un café orgánico de alimentos integrales, pero en realidad parece que ni siquiera saben cómo hacer hummus correctamente, o cómo servir comida FRESCA (la nuestra era claramente comida vieja y rancia).También tomé un jugo verde, que se describe en el menú como recién exprimido, pero pude sentir que era una base de jugo de manzana concentrado comprado en la tienda, tal vez con un chorrito fresco de espinacas y menta, pero la mayoría no era recién exprimido. presionado en absoluto.Muy, muy decepcionante por todos lados.Aprecio que nos hayan dado un reembolso.Desafortunadamente, no volveré a Woodruffs nunca más.

Didn't dislike this place although I wouldn't rush to go back. The interior is not unpleasant although a bit cluttered and cramped. The staff are friendly. Service was fine although there was some sort of mix up about the version of the menu we had compared to the current version so what we wanted was no longer offered. The food was quite good although the salad garnish was distinctly above average.

We walked down from Rodborough Common and were looking for a coffee shop that would allow us to bring the dog in. December/rainy/muddy wet - not a lot of folk are ahppy to have a dog!They were happy to have us and the tea and cake was excellent - I had Lemon Drizzle and my husband had a chocolate brownie. Perfect. Thank you.

Our third visit to Stroud wouldn't have been as good as the first ones, without lunch at Woodruffs Organic Cafe. Like a top food oasis, in the middle of High Street, we went upstairs first, but all the tables were taken, so we found a comfortable spot downstairs and ordered from an array of organic and fairtraded teas. Fruit, red (rooibos) and green - several varieties, plus black-leaf teas are available. We chose the vegan sausage toasties - choice of breads - and were gratefully surprised when they arrived with a variety of delicious salad items plus sauces. Everything in the meal was organically produced, expertly cooked, and tasted fantastic! This was a filling lunch and we could have added a homemade cake or biscuit - nine to choose from, if we'd had room. We'd always recommend this cafe, which welcomes young families too - has a secure indoor play area for the litte customers! Plump for Woodruffs if you like organic, wholesome, local and veggie/vegan good food.

Tuve la sopa de champiñones y jengibre y mi esposa tenía el pan keto. Claramente, ambos hechos en casa. Ambos muy sabrosos. Tiene un ambiente encantador y acogedor yuxtapuesto Costa enfrente. Estaba lleno, así que fuimos a la sala de juegos. Yo era el único allí y ninguna de las mesas había sido despejada y limpiada. El personal hizo un intento poco entusiasta en nuestra mesa. El propietario sirvió la comida y, al preguntar, le dio a la mesa otra toallita con la toalla de té más abundante que jamás haya visto. Algunas familias iban y venían. Me fui 30 minutos después de la última de las familias y sus mesas aún no habían sido despejadas. Probablemente sea mejor que no haya visto la cocina.

Went in for a hot chocolate and ended up chatting about their vegetarian dishes and taking a look at the veggie book! Such friendly staff and so jealous of all those sat down to eat - I will be back! Great hot choc too!

Woodruffs are consistently brilliant with their freshly made lunch dishes, especially their soups and curries. A cosy, friendly space and they have a lovely play space for little ones in one of the upstairs rooms (peaceful in other spaces if you don't have small people with you!).

It was cold and rainy and the soup we had in Woodruffs was perfect for the day. Very nice atmosphere. Would recommend it to anyone who likes to eat good , healthy organic food.

Excellent black bean chilli with great range of salads. Staff cool calm and collected amongst the hustle and bustle. Brilliant coffee. Would be a regular if we lived in Stroud. Great value.

Woodruffs offer a great range of gluten free, vegetarian and vegan foods. The quality is excellent and the staff went out of their way to ensure that we had everything as we wanted. Unusually, we were spoilt for choice with our GF options, which is good, because we can go back and try the other items on the menu.We often have trouble finding places that do gluten free food. Sadly, we have been let down by cafes and restaurants that have assured us their food was gluten free, only to find to my wife's pain and sickness an hour later that their food wasn't, or had been cross contaminated. (Slicing their gluten free bread on the ordinary breadboard, using the same ladle for the hot dishes or the same serving tongs for the ordinary cakes.) Some places have changed their policies and now make no GF claims to avoid the come back. Many cafes and restaurants have adopted a defensive approach.Woodruffs however have attacked. They approach the challenge of Gluten free head on. And win. They offer a good range of GF options, the food was delicious and the staff understood the problems a coeliac faces. Although my wife is coeliac, I'm not. Nevertheless, I went for the GF options too and was rewarded by excellent soup and handmade fresh bread, then two marvellous cakes. The coffee was perfect. We'll be back. Long may they serve.Thank you Woodruffs for having the oomph to go beyond the pre-wrapped GF brownie.

Had lunch here last week with my daughter-in-law and my three lovely granddaughters. They have an amazing choices of food on their menu. The food we ordered were really good and the portions were very generous too. The staffs were all nice, friendly and accommodating. Will definitely come here again.

Woodruffs is one of the reasons I moved to Stroud just over 10 years ago. As a vegetarian I have plenty of choice of wonderful fresh and tasty food. Always take my friends there.

Today at Woodruffs I had falafels on gluten free crispy bread with their three seasonal salads, humous, tzatziki, and pickled beetroot...it was absolutely amazing. The plate was colourful and everything was so full of flavour...you could just tell that a lot of love went into that dish!! It is on the expensive side- but what you're paying for is completely organic and nourishing, delicious food, so of course its worth the money. Whenever I go the staff are always so lovely and the service is fast. There is always a light and friendly atmosphere and I feel at ease there. I have been going to Woodruffs for years and plan to lots more in the future.

For the second time this week we had a meal here, which says enough really. Excellent quality, great taste. This also applies to their smoothies and juices. Purple power is my favourite.

I’ve started stopping here in the morning on a weekly visit to Stroud and the coffee is excellent and the staff are very friendly

I hate to give somewhere a bad review but on this occasion I think it deserves it. We arrived at 4pm at the tail end of a no doubt busy Saturday. We ordered two cappuccinos and a fruit tea and sat outside. The waitress clipped the edge of the table with the tray and spilit coffee into both saucers, and the empty cup for the tea was dirty. No apology for the spillage or offer to replace the saucers - we would have said not to bother but it would have been nice to be asked. When challenged over the dirty cup she somewhat reluctantly provided a fresh one, again no apology. The coffees were very so-so, but the tea was fine. Before leaving one of our party visted the ladies toilet to find it dirty and the floor strewn with spilt food. I know this may seem like nitpicking, but this place used to have great reputation and we have always been happy here before. With so much competition, these things matter, and I think we will try somewhere else next time.

Thank you Woodruffs team for sharing such a great cafe. Family friendly (with a cute kids play area), great service and organic homemade scones to order, plus we love their use of local Organic produce. We ate here a few times during our stay in Stroud and wish we had something like this near us!! Our kids loved their fresh juices, we loved Mexican breakfast with lovely fresh salads not to mention the apple and chocolate cakes. Everything is home made with lots of love and all healthy (apart from maybe the cakes!) but all full of flavour. Thank you!

We were visiting Stroud for a couple of hours and popped in for lunch. The menu was interesting and a bit different, in a very good way. We both opted for a 'lush' quiche which was served with salad, together with a homemade chutney - well chosen ingredients and very tasty. Outstanding!

This place has been somewhere that I try to visit at every opportunity I can. Ever since I was a child the food, service and atmosphere had always been incredible. Woodruffs will forever have a place in my heart.

Don't know what's happened to this place,it used to be so good. No longer, the service is incredibly slow,I went in at a quiet time but still had to wait 20 minutes to get my capucchino and cake...much smaller slices now too.

Can't lose eating lunch here. Great soups. Solid sandwich menu. Pastries and coffee/teas are first rate. What's not to love?

Totally overpriced.... Waited 40mins for a tiny breakfast that was badly cooked and well overpriced. I will never go back .

This unassuming place shows all the high street coffee places how it should be done. Great menu with a wide variety of fresh vegan and veggie friendly options and good kids choices. Nobody could miss meat with all the yummy looking choices.

Always so lovely to stop at woodruffs for coffee and cake, they are so accommodating, so many food and drink options for vegans! Always lovely food pleanty of options for kids aswell! The kids play room upstairs is so great gives us mums a chance to chat. Staff are so friendly!really is much fave cafe in Stroud!

Good menu choice, good coffee, very busy. Impressed by the food, albeit fake sausage and no bacon with Brie. Children’s food was good, although my child didn’t appreciate the green bits on the scrambled egg

We have visited this cafe before when in Stroud and its always been ok, not outstanding but fine for a quick lunch but yesterday it was truly awful. We ordered soup and brie and onion marmalade toasted sandwiches, not too taxing you would think. The soup was just warm and the toasted sandwiches which had been thrown together without an ounce of care were soggy, barely toasted and the filling looked grim (you can judge for yourself) we complained, were refunded and left. We won’t be going back.

Came here for lunch with my wife in early February whilst staying in the area and visiting the farmers market in Stroud. The cafe was busy but we luckily got a table. The cafe had a nice friendly atmosphere (much like Steoud in general) and there was a good selection of food. The options we chose were very filling and tasty. I would definitely choose to go there again.

Not quite a 5 star café in my opinion. Me and my friend went to Woodruffs for coffee and cake after having lunch elsewhere. There are many positives however. The menu is quite extensive and they cater for vegetarians, vegans and gluten-free. It isn't exactly cheap though. 2 pieces of cake and 2 coffees set me back over 12 quid!! The cake was very nice, and the coffee was good, though nothing special. Other diners' food did look very nice and I would eat a meal here. I didn't give 5 stars because it seems to take a long time to get served, even if they are not busy.

Lovely soup & bread - simple, tasty, hearty food. Always good coffee. Plenty of space and best view of Stroud from upstairs window.

It's a nice pretty little cafe with good views of the Stroud high street if you sit upstairs. Drinks were nice and all the food looked very good!!

Excellent organic fare for breakfast and lunch, service is a little quirky. Coffee blend could be improved do deliver more of a hit. Will return!

This is a must visit....the venue is great.....you can sit outside and watch the world go by.....the food is lovely and well presentented ....you can’t go to Stroud and not visit this gem

I’ve been coming here regularly since it opened and sad to say the service has been awful the last few times we’ve visited. The coffee is the best I had had in the area and the cakes wonderful if your looking for vegan/gluten free etc

poor atmosphere. I ordered vegan but pretty sure it wasn't vegan at all!! Circimstances prevented me from following up, so i picked at the only bit that I was fairly sure was vegan

I was very hungry so stopped for a sandwich. Stood in a small line waiting to be served as service seems to be very slow at the counter. When I got to the front I ordered a sandwich and a drink and was waiting to pay only to be told by a different employe that they had stopped serving food. Obviously a break down in communication between kitchen and front of house. Very annoying to say the least and a waist of my time.

Wonderful choice of vegan food, including both savoury and sweet options. The only thing which could be improved upon is the lack of a vegan menu - Everything is all crammed onto one sheet, which makes looking for the vegan signposting really difficult to find and at first glance it looks like there is a very little choice, which is simply not the case at all, there are plenty of vegan choices here.

Very relaxed atmosphere and very lovely food! The service is efficient and friendly and the food is always good. Would recommend to anyone, vegetarian or not!

Not only was this the best espresso I had in Stroud, this is a lovely cafe with friendly staff and a really cosy atmosphere. There is a good selection of teas and juices as well.

Great place with a great atmosphere. Very busy on Saturday lunchtime but understandably so as the flavours are fab and the staff seem to have a great understanding of veggie and vegan needs. Apart from fish, everything on the menu appears to be vegetarian. Wonderful. Give this a go if you're in the area - I'm sure you'll love it if you like fresh, flavourful, veggie food :)

I visit every week order the same, veggie burger yet always different as the veg is always seasonal.

The curry lunch meal is fantastic value as the quality and flavour are well worth it. The staff are very friendly, though busy, and we didn't feel rushed. A lovely space to watch the world pass by.

Not a great experience. I'm a massive coffee fan and I eat only clean food.

I have visited Woodruffs several times recently; it has become my favourite place to have a coffee when I am with my children. The cakes are always delicious (pear and chocolate cake is to die for) and I find the service relaxed and friendly. My kids enjoy the play area upstairs where there's a nice selection of books, toys, and also crayons and paper.

Reliably good food, especially the soup and the curries but its all good, fresh and tasty. Very nice atmosphere, friendly staff and efficient to boot! Its a fail safe option in a town full of cafes, and definitely holds its own.

The smell of this place is incredible. The taste is even better. Something for everyone, with such attention to detail and complexities in the simplest of things. Further seating upstairs, with part of the upper floor secured with a stair gate with lovely toys and a small play area for toddlers. They will store your stroller for you if you ask. Fantastic place.

Always worth a visit, whether for coffee and cake (though cake is on the pricey side - a piece I had cost £3.50!) or for an enjoyable vegetarian lunch option. Coffee is good and the staff are lovely. Nice to be able to support an independent business too.

So pleased to fine a successful cafe opposite a Costa (why would anyone go in a chain cafe with so many independents around?).Popped in for a coffee. Believe it or not it's not easy to get a good black coffee - but at Woodruffs I did.Smooth, unburnt and just the correct strength - perfect.My partner had a piece of cake (he always does!), it was moist and tasty.Will definitely return for lunch sometime.

Wonderful food. I had coconut curry, husband had soup. Totally delicious! Chairs and tables are a wee bit tired but the food is so good I'd rush back anytime.

Raoul and his team provided fantastic food for my son's wedding at Owlpen last weekend - serving a perfect Beef Wellington to over 100 people was an extraordinary achievement, and the canapés, starter and puddings were of the same standard....and they are all such friendly people, we couldn't have asked for more....Maximum recommendations for these guys!

We had lunch there today. Nice cafe with polite friendly staff. We ordered a vegetarian sausage sandwich, a vegetarian bean burger, a plate of cheesy tortillas and a glass of elderflower squash. It was all very very nice but came to over £23.00 I read the menu incorrectly and calculated the value of the lunch looking at the children's column. Read the menu carefully it is not clearly highlighted. A really nice lunch but the food prices 're a bit step. Nice tea and coffee too. Seating inside and out.

Every time I visit Stroud, I eat at woodruffs. I've tried other places but nothing comes close. Why would you go to costa coffee when you can eat and drink carefully selected hand made produce? Would recommend to anyone.

After a 10 mile walk we were just happy to be seated with a cold drink in tow. I was looking for something meaty and fulfilling- I then realised it was a mainly vegetarian menu- oops!!!We could've left but decided to give it a go and it was definitely worth it and was fulfilling- I had the quiche and my wife the bean burger both with beautiful salads and lentils. It was terrific, delicious and with delicate flavours.Felt it was slightly overpriced but could not complain about the food. Again it was superb.

Stroud has a variety of cafes and restaurants many catering to vegetarian and vegans but this place was from start to end a gem, food, service and quality of food all fresh in a relaxed environment. Will be back

Staff were friendly and helpful. I had the Mexican Breakfast which was superb; warmingly spicy without being too hot and disguising the various flavours. The apple cake thingy (?) was to die for. This cafe is quite small with only a few covers. The only downside for me was the noisy coffee machine which played havoc with my tinnitus and hyperacusis - this is common to all decent coffee establishments and does not reflect on this place in particular.

Meeting with friends we thought we luckily managed to get a table as some customers left just after we arrived. Farmers market day so it was very busy and the drinks took a little while to arrive (some people had nearly finished their cake before the coffee came), but a nice atmosphere with good food and drink.

Stopped in first thing on a Saturday morning for some breakfast. The sourdough rye bread was beautifully buttery and the eggs were delicious. I do think the prices can seem a bit steep on first glance, but remember you're paying for organic produce. It can feel a bit overcrowded at times. I wouldn't say it's a place to relax but it's certainly one of the preferable places in Stroud for breakfast or lunch.

Be comfortabl estopping in for lunch if you need a bite in downtown Stroud. They will not let you down. Food is tasty AND healthy.

A friend of mine took me here knowing that I would instantly fall in love with thw place, she wasn't wrong, the staff were friendly, we sat upstairs where I found that there was also a children's game room (very handy when recommending to friends with children) I ordered the vegan bean burger and couldn't believe all the extra that came with it when it arrived, fennel, avocado, couscous, salsa, salad, chickpeas, the list goes on. The food was so tasty and I left feeling happy and nourished, so happy to have a new favourite place to go :)

Woodruffs is the only place I have ever eaten where I don't have to worry about what's in the food and for me its absolutely priceless. Sugar-free, gluten-free, diary-free and absolutely everything is organic. But that's not the best of it. The food is extremely tasty, fresh, very good value and locally sourced. I had the curry which was accompanied by a mouth watering array of different salads - not the usual leaves and cucumber, but a variety of grains, pulses and vegetables with delicious and original dressings which had obviously been lovingly prepared. This was served with a large chunk of homemade quinoa and almond bread which satisfied my constant hunger for gluten free carbs! All of this for under a tenner - coming from London I would have expected to pay (and happily paid) considerably more. I was very full afterwards, but I didn't want to miss out so took a generous slice of the carrot cake with me for the drive back to London which kept me going.I never used to have to worry about all that GF/diary free stuff but now for various reasons diet is now key. But you don't have to have diet problems to eat here. I went with my sister and mum and they loved the food too. I haven't found anywhere like this in London but would happily drive to Stroud to sample another one of their delicious meals and to eat in complete confidence and without feeling that I'm being difficult. For Woodruff's this is easy peasy. Service was very warm, friendly and efficient. When are you opening a Woodruff's in London, please!?

They are head and shoulders healthier than the cafes nearby, and the food is delicious. I was also impressed by their smoothies which are great especially in the summer. I visit here often with my girlfriend for coffee and brunch, great scrambled eggs as well. Recommend!

I visited today with friends and just have to comment on the wonderful service and relaxed atmosphere we enjoyed.There is an upstairs room set out for children with games, toys and books. This room has a child safety gate on the door to ensure safety and a more relaxing time for parents. This room was already fully occupied when we arrived but there was absolutely no issue with us using the other upstairs room. The menu is an extensive vegetarian menu and I felt the portions were of a really good size. Even though they had this extensive menu, today was one of those days when I just wanted something really plain. The staff could not have done more to accommodate my choices and made me a lovely salad with prawns and avocado. It was perfect for me today and I was really grateful for them taking the time to do this.Once we had finished lunch we went through to the children's room for our cake and coffee. The children were able to burn off some energy and enjoy some lovely cake without annoying any other customers. It just made for a lovely relaxing time for us all. Just what we all needed.

Woodruff's catered my birthday party. All the food was excellent and it was really easy to discuss options, despite my not being local. They also were happy to make provision for vegan and gluten free guests.

I wish I could write a better review on Woodruffs Organic Cafe- but it was awful.We popped in for a late lunch. We ordered one coffee, one water, a Stilton & mushroom omelette with a side salad & a goats cheese omelette with no side salad.We waited, and waited and waited. The poor waitress was clearly rushed off her feet. We had to remind her about our drinks.... then she returned with our drinks & asked us to confirm our food order...When it eventually arrived, the wrong omelette arrived with the side salad. Not the end of the world, but portion sizes were pretty stingy... not exactly a filling hearty lunch. Not the greatest tasting omelette either.I did feel sorry for the waitress as there were so many people waiting whilst she was trying to take orders, make drinks, serve up food & take people's payment.Wish we'd enjoyed it more...

A truly authentic vegetarian and organic cafe/restaurant. It has a stylish and cosy stripped back interior over two floors, with one room having a play area in the corner for young children. It is open all day including breakfast.The interesting menu varies regularly and is displayed above the counter on the ground floor. The range of food choices is moderate, with a wide range of drinks. The food was very well prepared and tasty, with lots of flavours and textures. There is also a good choice of excellent cakes. Allergies and intolerances are catered for extremely well.Prices reflect the provenance of the ingredients, and are reasonable value. Service was very friendly and helpful.

Between our family group we had the quiche, soup, burger and sandwiches. All food was tasty and freshly prepared. The accompanying salad was varied and sufficient. Service was friendly and efficient. I would recommend for all not just vegan/vegetarian and makes a very pleasant change from the usual chain offerings at lunch time.Will return when next in Stroud.

What marks this restaurant out from others is the lovely sense of peace that is present and a genuine care for customers. It is a cafe/restaurant with a heart, reflected in the beautifully presented, constantly changing and always organic food....The simple but creative decor belies an active commitment to encouraging and working with local artisans and a connection to the community through weddings and outside catering. I have known this establishment as a customer since its inception and am so delighted at the unusual and sensitive direction it is taking!

This is a fabulous and relaxed environment to enjoy a well made meal The only drawback are the portion size - smaller each time we have been. I've been coming here literally for many years. This time, my jacket at 1pm they had a half jacket available (basically had run out of baked potatoes) - except the jacket was the size of a new potato, they added two small Cajun Sweet Potato Wedges to replace the missing half of a baked potato - the two salad portions were each the size of a table spoon - and primary ingredient (in volume and makes up most of the salads provided) - cabbage. They were so much better in the past - a pity they have let standards slip.I think they believe that by replacing a lunch plate with a side plate to hide the inadequate size for a lunch meal In addition, one of the people working in the restaurant took their lunch at the same time - food mounded onto the much larger main meals plate no longer provided to the paying customer. So they understand the differentials in quantity - clearly the serving portions provided are planned and represent poor value for money I have loved this place in the past but I have been left very disappointed by their miserly ways - this is no way to run such a potentially wonderful restaurant I clearly felt hungry and wripped off

Loved my trip here. Had a really good coffee and lunch which was fresh, hot and super healthy. Loads of choice and a great attitude from staff. A great spot to watch the world go by.

The choice of food and the food itself is mediocre, the portions are far from generous and the prices are way too high.The "trendy" approach does not wash with me, I expect good value for money and did not find it here.

As a vegetarian of over 30 years, I particularly enjoy finding places that offer variety on the menu. This place seems to try very hard at that, but I must say I found it overpriced for what we received. Two falafel wraps at over £18, with side salads. Portions were rather small, and we're not coming from the gluttonous angle here, and it just lacked something that would warrant this price bracket. The cakes looked fantastic, but we didn't try any. The lunch was expensive enough. I'm sure there are reasons for the prices being the way they are, and I am a great advocate for people paying the real price of food, this just felt a little beyond that.

Dropped by here for lunch and went for their daily felafel wrap. At £9.75 I expected a something pretty impressive and the cafe had the air of being a wholesome, experienced vegetarian eatery that would have perfected their felafel through hours of labour and experimentation. At this price I expected soft and thick flat bread stuffed full of salad, carrot, beetroot, humous, tahini, chilli sauce, garlic sauce, fresh herbs and hot crispy felafel...I was very disappointed with the tiny wrap in rather effete looking flat bread, more like a dry pancake really and no more than 3, maybe 4 mouthfuls. It was too salty. Salads on the side scraped ok but simply didn't really inspire.Twice the price it should have been.

Love going for lunch with friends in this cozy cafe/restaurant. Fresh tasty bread makes fantastic sandwiches, love the blue cheese and pear one, tasty salads too. Everything is yummy!

Had breakfast here. Served cheap sliced brown bread for toast. Coffee was weak and milky and they got the order wrong. Really disappointing. What with the local farmers market and the number of local bakers it can't be that hard to serve up freshly baked bread?

Visited for lunch with the family in the half term the food was delicious and fresh, good value for money. We sat upstairs which was lovely, will definitely return and recommend.

The food is varied and delicious. Prepared with passion. A real treat for vegans and vegetarians. I am neither but find the food delicious. Actually the coffee is probably the best I have had! Go!

Met a friend here for lunch...mmmm very tasty.I had the vegetarian Thai green curry with noodles and salad ,yummy and very fresh and zingy .My friend had the smoked mackerel pate with sweet potato wedges,again lovely.Wide choices on the menu and great service Will definitely revisit
