Omg husband ordered chipsteaks for our tea tonight and honestly when he got them home an hour ago they were absolutely swimming in grease! The paper trays chipsteaks were on were covered in grease. So much so I tried to blot on kitchen towel. Used 6 sheets and were still so greasy ended up putting in bin. Will never ever use this chipper again. Definitely would not recommend still feel sick at thought of all grease on chipsteak. Was looking forward to my chipper tea. Never again!

Brilliant wee chipper, quick to get too from the hospital and good quality with friendly staff. Will definitely remember it for in the future

Stopped in by on the way back from Alford to home,hadn’t used this place since I was a kid it was good then,now not so good.Had Tattie Fritters (big portion) but soft greasy batter.A chip steak supper and a king rib for the partner.upside the chips were ok(if you can claim that comment as a upside)The chip steak and king rib not so good ,once again soft greasy batter,just not nice to eat.just stay in the car and drive a bit further if you want my opinion and if this is your local chipper you walk to unlucky.

I cannot say more about this place its amazing staff are so friendly the food is AMAZING! Deffo recommend if you haven't been here go now!

Worst place in Aberdeen. Waiting 50 mins

Ordered via just eat. Delivery driver around the corner, shown on map, disappeared and turned his phone off. Chippy washed their hands of the order. Nothing to do with them they said. Absolute joke. So, we order and pay for food and they have nothing to do with it. I hope the driver enjoyed his feast! Thief! Never ever again!

Worst chip shop in aberdeen, portion size is ridiculous, ordered fishcake supper, and it wouldn't feed a 2yr old, far to greasy as well

Was really nice and freshly made ..would recommend.

Abigail was lovely, upon entering she took my order. She chatted away. Kenny came out and started chatting too. Very friendly staff. Food was cooked to perfection. Tattie fritters especially. Unfortunately I ordered 2 pickled onion and 2 pickled eggs. They were not in my order.

Over all it was okay, i would go again. I know chipper chips are salty but wow, these were salty to the point me and a friend could not eat them. The chicken nuggets were bang on! really crispy a bit burnt. The slushy was like ice you could only taste water. It was a bit to long of a wait.

Ordered jumbo sausage suppers and single haggis all lovely but added curry sauce was yuck watery rubbish was binned

Recently visited the chipper and got a haddock supper for £7.60 ! a really great size fish, a great portion of chips !! The battered Pinaepple was fantastic as well, first time trying and will be back ! Great service by the gents around, keep it up

Had a haddock supper couple of days ago. Best fish that I recently had.

Cold small chips. Got the order wrong had to wait 25 mins.. looks dirty .. nothing to recommend about it.

Best fish and chips in Aberdeen

£13 for 1 fish supper and a single fish. Both fish was burnt. Batter was so rock hard we couldn't get our fork through it to get to the fish. The fish was dry and hard. Chips was all just scraps like the left overs at the end of the night. Not one single proper chippy chip ! Very disappointed in the quality of the food. Definitely not worth the money. Felt like we had been robbed. Won't be back. I would give them zero stars If I could !

Went again last night , new owner , 2nd visit since the owner took over, very pleasant and food high standard, great portions keep it up, as most people judge by standard and portions, the owner gave my wife a free whitepudding ,as he was just finishing up when we called in for chip supper with curry sauce!

Absolutely shocking! Put my little one in for a large chips literally got not even half a box. Don't know why they put a large chips in a box and only half full? Definitely avoid!

Opening times are incorrect. Says it's open until 22:00. Arrived at 21:10 to find it closed. Wasted journey.

Visited this chip shop for the first time today and it will be the last, staff were rude arrogant and unfriendly, place looked like it needed a good clean, none of the staff had face masks on, would not recommend this substandard establishment to anyone...

Quick service and tasty food reasonable priced. Cash only would have expected acceptance of card payments.

Massively let down by the portion size. The fish was a reasonable size and was actually nice, but the cheapest thing that they can produce is chips and this is what we got. For £7.10. This is p*ss poor! Imagine serving this to a customer?

Disgusted at the lack of chips in the suppers! Ordered a mince pie supper, a jumbo sausage & a haddock supper. The amount & quality of chips that came with the suppers were ridiculous! I paid £7+ for the fish supper & I was given a couple of chip chips but the rest were the dregs of crispy chips left. We actually ended up adding some microchips. The haddock was actually very greasy & the batter soggy in places. Very disappointing as this used to be a great chipper & the last fish supper I had was beautiful to say the least!

The customer service in that shop used to be ok until they hired one of the new younger girls. I used to like going in the place to get chips but ill never be going there ever again. Even when i said id put in a bad review she said she doesn't care. Unbelievably bad service and getting shooed away when i was leaving. I hope everyone reads this and doesnt go there again. I only go there for convenience but the chips and food isnt even particularly good and i feel sorry for the guy running the shop as i wouldn't be surprised if it shuts sometime soon. The customer is always right and this time you messed up bad. Asking your colleague about who is in the right and who is in the wrong is incredibly rude too. In a time where most places are accepting cards for payment it should be encouraged and all i asked was if you accepted card only to be told "I've served him before he should know that we accept cash. The guy who runs the shop even said he made a mistake by saying he did accept card. How is any of this my mistake? Instead you didnt apologise and you decided to blame me?

Very disappointed this is twice recently that I have ordered things and got home to find I have received the wrong thing, I am a frequent customer of woodend chipper burger beginning to think I will go elsewhere. ☹️☹️☹️☹️

We had three suppers. and out of the three portions of chips we had to discard most of the chips.the majority of them were discoloured with black bits.disgusting!!

Fa from decent in Aberdeen, really annoying that all pies are put in microwave before frying! Not only mine been outside watching there is a lot of food that put into microwave first. £10 for mince pie supper & white pudding. However chips & pudding was 5 out of 5. The fish & Chips are a disgrace!:£11 for a portion of Fish n Chips, its about the size of a kids meal.

Its good price for what you get. However the food is not all that good. Depends on what your ordering i guess. I rarely go but have the red pudding supper.

Always my first stop when I arrive home in Aberdeen from London. Love the fresh fish and chip supper with a white pudding on the side .

On the last 3 occasions we have used Woodend Fish Bar. We stay approx. 5 miles at Westhill from it but stopped using the local Chip shop as his meals went down the drain. I had 3 meals in succession from them that were below his standards. So we started to use the Woodend Fish Bar. We can drive the 5 miles home and the Fish Suppers etc can be eaten without reheating not like the local one which is 1 mile from our house. The food is excellent and the batter is crispy and the chips are what chips should taste like. The quantity you get is better than the local one and the service is quick. The also do bonus deals 2 Fish Suppers for £12.00 Mondays to Wednesday. What else do you need if you are happy.

Went in by to get Haddock Supper and fish was freshly cooked and drained before getting it. Very crispy and very tasty.

Always had a good takeaway frae here and cannae fault the quality, but quantity could be better. Then agen ye dinnae get soo much frae yer buck nowadays. Parkin can be tight but as Tesco has a big store next doors a wee walk an ye are there but tis always the numpties innit aye .x.

I regularly use the Woodend fish bar and it has always been good. However tonight the fish and chips were greasy. There is a sign now saying that fish is fried to order. The fish was taken straight from the fryer and put on top of the chips. When i got home i found the fish had not drained and the fish batter was soggy. The fat had also made the chips soggy. I called to complain and was asked to take the food back to be checked. I declined as the the greasy fish had made me lose my appetite.

This chipper is all-round OK but do be prepared in a slight lack of chips with suppers.Plus side they do do burgers :-)

Having not long moved into the area we started using this chipper and have recommended it to friends/family as food is lovely and chip portions have always been great that is until Friday night when my husband went for a large portion of chips which we always get so we know roughly how much the box is full . I opened the box to find a small covering of chips in the box enough for 2 small handfuls and they were cold really disappointed. Will defo make sure we won't get served from the young guy again

Excellent fish and chips. We have the pensioners portions. Freshly cooked on the spot. Dont recommend going when the schools have just got out, long queues.

Ahora jubilado y cuando no apetece cocinar o me apetece una delicia. Me teléfono y cena de pescado como orden y toma 8 minutos para cocinar el pescado. Entonces me llega 10 minutos más tarde a un chipper pic pero conseguir mi pescado bien escurrido de inmediato. No hay mejor cena de pescado en Aberdeen

I always 3njoy pie supper or pudding supper from this establishment staff friendly its always cooked well and seems busy when i go to pay a visit

We have been to the woodend chip shop twice,the first time I bought suppers they were dripping with fat,I did not phone and complain because for the benefit of the doubt I thought it might be a one off,the second time was just disgusting the suppers were still dripping with fat not only that out of three suppers we salvaged fourteen chips the rest of chips were all are half or all black, to me coming from the country that's rotten or old chips that's that's being lying for a few days.thats made up our minds we will not return.

Lovely fresh local fish & chips. Mock chop & red pudding suppers to die for. All cooked to order, served by friendly & helpful staff.

The fish was not freshly cooked and the chips where soggy and didn't taste fresh. We where disappointed and will not return.

This is the best fish and chip shop in the area. Massive portion of haddock and chips served and the batter was gorgeous. Regular visitor to this chippy :)

Always have the fish (usually cooked to order), staff are friendly and chips are good. Fish has gotten a bit dearer of late though.
