One of the best afternoon teas i've had! Staff are lovely & showed us around and really couldn't do enough for you! Food was amazing, so many different tiers and was really nice to have savoury on there too.

This is a lovely place in the historic village of Woburn. The food was very unusual and the service excellent. Every detail has been thought about and we felt very welcome. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. It is a great place for a special event and I would recommend it.

We booked Woburn Coffee House for a surprise baby shower so family could come together to celebrate the upcoming arrival of the latest family member. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly - everyone was so lovely and accommodating. We brought our own celebration cake and decorations for the upcoming child of two engineers. The afternoon tea was delicious and plentiful - we took quite a lot home in doggy boxes - just right for supper!! Definitely would recommend to anyone wanting a real treat in a lovely welcoming environment. An additional bonus regarding location is the convenience of the large free car park, just 5 minutes’ walk away.

This was my second visit for a Classic afternoon tea. It's wonderful, it's the best afternoon tea and it's so different to what you expect. I will be back again. The atmosphere is so claiming and the décor is so elegant and I adore the tea cups, saucers and tea pots.

I was taken here for a birthday treat. For me to describe something as exceptional is rare, unless it really is – and this really was! We were greeted in such a friendly manner, all staff was smiling throughout the whole experience, and that is what really made the difference. We were seated upstairs in a small room, and the table was decorated beautifully. The music was a little bit too loud and I felt not appropriate for the classy establishment. It was modern music with a heavy beat and I felt like I was sitting More in a nightclub so I think they should look at that aspect with a view to playing something a bit more appropriate and soothing to match the experience. Now to the food. Where do I begin? It was amazing. I loved all the savoury bites, a mixture of cold and warm. They were delightful. How the staff members can remember each item is beyond me. The presentation was exceptional the massive high tiered delivery made it more exciting, and we even had to stand up to see what was on the top tier. ! I was not that keen on the savoury scone, personally, I would’ve preferred a second sweet one, and perhaps they could think about some kind of option there. Similarly, I felt the scones should automatically be delivered warm and at a later stage throughout the meal. It was presented cold and seated on the high tiered stand and we requested for it to be warm, which of course was no problem for the staff with their can-do attitude so was taken away to be heated. Overall, I would highly recommend this experience to you. Personally I’m really eager to go back and perhaps next time I would consider sitting in the Orangery if available.

We celebrated our 6 Year Wedding Anniversary with Afternoon Tea at Woburn Coffee House. It was lush! The Afternoon Tea was the best we have ever had (even better than The Ritz!) Just back from a fabulous afternoon tea at the Woburn Coffee House. It was different to your average afternoon tea. Lots of different savoury things, quiche, courgette spaghetti etc. I would definitely recommend it. We was celebrating our Anniversary and the card was a lovely gesture - thank you.

I have been wanting to visit for a while and we managed to get a last minute table earlier in the week. Such a special place with attentive staff. The food is emotional all our favourite flavours and so much of it. They looked after us so well and can't wait to go back at Christmas. Our waitress was fantastic.

I treated my mum to afternoon tea at this delightful setting in the heart of Woburn. The service was second to none and the food was amazing. I would highly recommend this beautiful setting for a special occasion or just a treat. Worth every penny.

After being treated to a Celebratory Afternoon Tea gift card for Christmas, we eventually found a time to book. Unfortunately there was no room in the orangery so we were seated in the front room. Which in my opinion was just as good as the setting felt like a traditional afternoon tea, with the old school decor. All there crockery was branded which was a nice touch. This food was phenomenal. Such a modern, fresh twist on afternoon tea. Every ingredient served a purpose, so every dish that was served had an immense depth of flavour. The accommodating staff were incredibly helpful and professional. They explained all the food in incredible detail when brought to the table. Overall, the perfect place to come if you’re looking for an inventive take on afternoon tea and appreciate exquisite food.

Gluten and dairy free done perfectly - We went for the celebration afternoon tea, I was presented a version of everything and didn't have to go without, which is often hard to find. I was very pleased with the effort made to be inclusive of all dietary requirements.

I arranged my wife's 70th birthday party for 21 people including children at the Woburn Coffee House The service was exemplary, we were all welcomed in and shown to the White Room which is absolutely beautifully decorated with a cottage feel. The Celebration Afternoon Tea was delicious, it came on a 5 tier stand, at the top level we finished with white chocolate hearts filled with turkish delight, the chef catered for all of our various diets and allergies. When we got home the various WhatsApp groups exploded with great comments from all my guests.

I’ve been to Woburn coffee house many times. Normally I struggle to reach the top layer as I am always so full. Their spring menu 2023 is very disappointing. I felt it lacked something, and the Malibu dessert just wasn’t right, as everyone on the table agreed. I will of course be back. I won’t let this visit have an effect on future bookings but this menu isn’t their best.

I have to say, this really is my last resort and something that I wouldn't usually do... However, the customer service I've had from Woburn Coffee House has been terrible - or should I call it non existent! Me & my 4 friends were heading to Woburn Coffee House at the end of March for a Afternoon Tea Baby Shower - we couldn't wait to celebrate, however, due to the lock down at the end of March, unfortunately our Afternoon Tea was cancelled... The lady from Woburn Coffee House rang me on the week of our Afternoon Tea and explained that they would have to cancel the tea and they would refund my deposit money ASAP - brilliant! Now 8 weeks down the line, I have sent numerous emails to Karen, messages on Facebook - all which have been ignored and/or deleted... All I want is an explanation of when I will be receiving my refund, so I can then also refund my friends... Is that too much to ask?! When you have a business (I actually have one myself), I wouldn't dream of ignoring my clients/customers nor would I ever dream of keeping their money when I'd specifically told them I would be refunding them ASAP - what is the meaning of ASAP? Because I thought that was within the week, not 8 weeks down and still no communication let alone my money back? So with this in mind, there is no way I will be going to Woburn Coffee House when they reopen - I wish they'd treat their customers better, however I have spoken to quite a few people who are in the same boat as me, so I won't take it personally!! Hopefully Karen will see this soon and refund me - or is that wishful thinking?!

We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon here with the family to celebrate my wife's birthday. Nothing was too much trouble to the team with great service before during and after the day. The room was beautifully decorate (Thankyou Floral Journey Milton Keynes) and the food spectacular. Made us all feel very special.

There was 7 of us for my mother in-laws 80th birthday. when we arrive the girls didn't have a clue with the booking which was a bit worrying.so when we was take to the table they had no where to put them and they just all looked loss. there was wine on the table but some of the men was working later that day. we was not offered any other drinks apart from water which we asked for. and when the cream teas come they where just put on the table and not told what was on the plates. and after they brought the sandwiches & cakes some of us didn't like some of them and we had to order 3 more plates of sandwich because the men where still hungry. some of the sandwiches had been made for some time because they was starting to go a little hard of the tops and edges of the top ones. but it was very disappointing to what it use to be like.but only 6/8 months ago you could not fault it. the staff the owner and the young lady that served you. and the food was fantastic in all way. sorry very disappointed

Had a lovely time here today with excellent food and wonderful service. Very pretty very special and leaves you feeling very spoiled.Linens are gorgeous as are the china teapots. Today my wife went to the Woburn Coffee House for a Christmas Cream Tea. She hasn’t eaten meat for 35 years but today due to an error by the Woburn Coffee House she found herself eating meat! This is unbelievable what if she had a serious allergy? I can’t believe they then made her pay for it. Absolutely disgusted by their attitude. No proper apology instead they excused themeselves by suggesting they were so busy. She is completely devastated it was supposed to be a celebration but she spent most of the time being ill in the toilet. The whole event was completely ruined and they then made her pay for it! Terrible attitude towards a customer who they have seriously let down!

The place itself holds a magical feel, as soon as you walk in. I was greeted and shown to our area, and as an early arrival to the party, I was seated quickly and courteously and asked if I’d like a drink whilst waiting for my family to arrive. When we were all seated, orders were taken, including 3 vegan options, which were absolutely fantastic. A beautiful array of colour, taste and texture. (I’d had Tea at the Ritz, Mayfair the week before, and their vegan choice was a little limited, so this wins hands down) SADLY, one thing let the side down, hence my award of 4 points, and not 5...your wait staff failed to bring the tea pots through, and we had to asked for them a few times, and when they did, they forgot milk and sugar (although they kindly remembered the sliced lemon for my selection of tea) So most of the party had consumed their tea plates, with no tea to accompany their selections...kinda failed the purpose of the cream tea. Nevertheless, a stunning place, in a lovely location and beautifully decorated for Christmas.

I went here with two of my friends one to which had been already. From the moment we walked in the door staff were lovely and the atmosphere was cosey. Wow what can I say about the afternoon tea how good it was. So much selection dietary catered for and nothing was a problem. We even got a lovely cheese and chive scone straight out do the oven. Will be making it our yearly trip.

My favourite thing is to go for Afternoon Tea and I’ve had the joy of indulging in this decadent past time in some of the most AMAZING places including The Ritz and The Savoy which I adored however both were pretty expensive, in my opinion the Woburn Coffee House offers a more unique experience than either of these and without the extremely expensive price tag. So much so I am taking my partner there for his birthday to experience their new and exciting Christmas Afternoon Tea. This will be my 3rd visit since discovering this hidden gem just 3 months ago. If you haven’t been yet my advice to you is book today because as it’s only open at weekends and also Thursdays just for the festive season. Dare to spoil yourself, you will be so glad you did because Karen and all her wonderful staff including the warmest waitresses and incredible Chefs who create the delicious Afternoon Tea without a finger sandwich in sight will make sure that you have a truly magnificent and memorable experience.

We were looking for a special venue to get married in, with about 40 guests. Imagine our delight when we discovered that the Woburn Coffee House had obtained their licence to host weddings!

Myself and a group of female friends went for a birthday afternoon tea here a few weeks ago and the food was out of this world! I’ve had lots of afternoon teas and this has got to be one of the best.

My husband and I took the celebration afternoon tea. Fantastic food and experience with not a sandwich in sight. Range of tastes and textures. Best afternoon tea experience I have ever had for my preferences.

Wow is all I can say. Stunning setting, decor and food. If you are looking for a traditional afternoon tea with lots of finger sandwiches this might not be your cup of tea (excuse the pun). The gf lemon drizzle scones were the highlight for me and the non gf for everyone else. To be honest I enjoyed all the food served. The variety was amazing and as a coeliac you don’t often have such a selection. Yes the teas in a bag but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. I will be back!!!

The biggest disappointment was been given tea with a teabag - this for me set the tone of the overall food which wasn't very good, the savory was definitely style over substance and the sweet scones weren't the best.

We had our wedding at the Woburn Coffee House yesterday and I have to say it was amazing !! I found Ian a great help before the day - he helped us with ideas and organisation and was extremely supportive and accommodating! On the day the staff were brilliant- I couldn’t have asked for a friendlier group of people . We had a small wedding (18 people) and everybody loved it ! The food was delicious and the setting very beautiful. The children enjoyed being outside in the garden and the adults soaked up the sunshine throughout the day . It was great to have an allocated bathroom / lounge for getting ready beforehand - and the lounge was available for us all day . It was honestly a perfect day and I would 100 % recommend this as a wedding venue !

Really great service here and trying all the different food was a great experience. A few dishes were a bit bland, but some of the good ones made up for it. The setting was lovely the only issue was the wasps. There was so many! My father in law had to abandon his scone because he was getting stressed by the wasps. We had to catch over 5, which ruined the experience a little bit. The waitresses were very helpful, but it was still intrusive on our meal.

As we have been visiting a range of afternoon tea but we are so impressed with their services, their afternoon tea hand crafted style are very unusual and the food are so delicious and taste beautifully, there weren't even no sandwiches but it's one of the best afternoon teas we have even been to visit, we have really enjoyed our time together and we will definitely be visiting again!

Visiting our daughter and son in law for my birthday weekend we enjoyed the best afternoon tea ever! The savoury treats were all absolutely delicious and greatly enjoyed as a welcome change from the ubiquitous finger sandwiches! We enjoyed a jug of Pimms followed by a selection of teas with our sweet delights. The lemon drizzle scones were to die for. Clementine tarts and the other patisserie as delicious as if you were in France. All made with love and care. Will not wait for another birthday, but it must be our treat whenever we are in Woburn or even worth the journey from Dorset!

Our 2nd trip to Woburn Coffee House was just as lovely as the first. The full afternoon tea stacked on a tiered stand with a choice of teas or coffee. We added prosecco at the beginning. The conservatory provided a delightful setting. The staff were friendly and attentive. The 'manager'? was fairly efficient, though I would say that showing you right to your seat instead of merely pointing at your table would take the service up a notch. I was disappointed to see one of the staff being reprimanded in full view of the customers - not professional! Apart from that, all was a delight.

A Great place for an Afternoon Tea with a difference! The food is freshly made and absolutely gorgeous, I've been a couple of times and never managed to finish it - theres so much!! But you don't need to worry as you can take home what you don't eat! The service is great, lovely girls that give you attentive service.

We were taken to the Woburn Coffee House by special friends as a surprise present. They had ordered the Spring Celebration Afternoon Tea. How lovely it was, so different to the usual afternoon tea. Some of the ingredients were sticky lamb, crab, ham, quails egg, mackerel and many others all displayed on a 5 tiered tea stand. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Would definitely go again.

We organised an afternoon tea in the White Room for a hen party of 16 people and it was fabulous!! Karen and the team made the planning very easy and were happy to accommodate our requests to make the day as special as possible for the bride to be. On the day the team went above and beyond to help us get the room decorated, to ensure that all of the guests were tended to, and also made a delicious celebration cake which everyone was raving about!! The food was equally impressive and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it! I would highly recommend the Woburn Coffee House to anyone looking to plan a special event, you most definitely will not be disappointed!!

Wonderful and spectacular afternoon tea. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable. The presentation of the tea was gorgeous and we couldn't wait to tuck in. Would love to go again.

An awsome venue to enjoy afternoon tea for any occasion. It's a cut above the rest when it comes to their offerings and you really do see every penny you spend being served right in front of you. I've had afternoon tea at the Ritz twice and the Woburn Coffee House not only gives it a good run for its money but in my opinion surpasses it. A must visit for afternoon tea lovers.

A couple of lovely friends treated me to afternoon tea here. It was delicious not a sandwich in sight just a variety of tasty treats. The building itself was charming and the staff all welcoming.

The Woburn Coffee House is beautiful and unique. I have been 4 times now and each time I leave feeling like I cannot wait to go back and see what other wonders they come up with. This is not the place to go if you want a boring old afternoon tea with an egg sandwich and a piece of victoria sponge. The food is delicate and delicious and after eating 5 tiers I am shocked to see some people complain about still feeling hungry!! I am completely satisfied and full after I have been.

Visited with a small group of friends and, as always, the food and service were marvellous. If you haven’t been and are wondering whether to take the plunge I’d urge you to go. It’s by far the best afternoon tea I’ve ever had and I’ve sampled quite a few!

Visited last Sunday with friends over from Australia. This was my 4th visit, also had my daughters hen party here March 2017. What a disappointment, my daughter, now pregnant and informed the kitchen, got served blue Roquefort cheese, when we told staff they were very Indignant about it, and got told:" its just pasteurised cheese". Someone needed to do their home work and check what pregnant women can and can't eat. The staff weren't very inattentive, we had no refill of tea, and now use t-bags, so you loose the whole experience, of a traditional afternoon tea. The quality of the food has diffently gone down hill from all my previous visits. We asked for one more cheese and chive scone, and was refused, we had to buy a bag of 3 scones ourselves to eat one of them at the table. I did send an email to bring these points to their attention. The reply was very dismissive, and not one apology in it. I Will not be going back, and I have mentioned to friends and family not to go, as it's not the same quality any more. Absolutely a beautiful place, but it's not worth the money now. Especially when you have to buy your own food.

Very unique afternoon tea totally different from the normal we loved it. The staff and owners were very attentive will definitely return
