We ordered Meze for two to celebrate a special birthday, and were delighted. The food was an absolute feast - so many different dishes, each carefully packed, with plenty of pitta bread and fresh Greek salad. Ordering was simple and collection time was spot on. We would have eaten in, had it not been lockdown, and we plan to go back when that's allowed again.

We had a lovely evening here on Saturday night. We were given an extremely warm welcome and the service couldn’t have been better. The lamb souvla and accompanying greek salad were beautiful and took us back to evenings by the beach. This is a super local restaurant with excellent food, it’s just a shame that it was fairly quiet on a Saturday night. If you live around Ealing or you’re a visitor I would urge you to support this local independent restaurant, you won’t be disappointed.

Have passed this restaurant every week day for the last 5 years, and never had any thought of eating here. However I was looking for somewhere different for our anniversary meal - so glad we came here. All the staff were absolutely delightful & did everything they could to make sure we enjoyed our visit. The food was all delicious - halloumi & kleftico for me with spicy sausage & spring chicken for my husband. We followed up with equally delicious desserts (even if we couldn't pronounce their names). Coming here really finished off a lovely day of celebrations. It may have been our first time here, but after the experience we had tonight I can certainly say it won't be the last. Take my advice & if you're in Ealing give it a tryThank you all @ Wine & Mousaka

Despite the fact that we have lived in Ealing for zillions of years, this is the first time we have ventured into this tiny restaurant on the edge of Haven Green. The staff are lovely - very welcoming - and we were delighted to see that the menu was full of traditional Greek dishes at a reasonable price. They even had my favourite Greek wine - Aphrodite. We shared prawns for a starter with a big Greek salad and then I had a really delicious souvla. Our first time and certainly not our last.

Visiting London from the U.S., we had 8 of us renting a house in Ealing. We'd pass this place daily on our way to Ealing Broadway. I'm so glad we decided to try this place one night for dinner. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like old friends who had been patronizing this place for years. The owners are warm and gracious. The food is outstanding. Even my kids liked the food, and they can be hard to please when it comes to something outside of your usual American food. Even during our short stay in Ealing, we ate here three times. It's right around the corner from the Ealing Broadway station, and we will definitely eat here again the next time we visit London.

Love, love, love this place. Having checked a few reviews online beforehand I booked this restaurant for Valentine's night. Andy, and his team were great hosts and super friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. I am on a dairy and gluten free diet but this wasn't a problem whatsoever. Even though my husband was having the calamari as a starter (which was amazing apparently) I had chosen not to have a starter, but when they realised that I hadn't got anything Andy prepared me my own little dairy and gluten free freshly made houmous and toasted bread. The lamb soulvaki was the best I have ever tasted. Even the mixed salad was fantastic. Ealing has so many restaurants to choose from but you can see why this little independent gem continues to thrive. It's because the food is amazing and the team there love what they do and want to make sure it will be an experience that you will remember. Put simply they care.

After being here few years ago, and leaving quite disappointed from the food, I decided to give it another chance, also considering the place is always full on the weekend. unfortunately I have to confirm my opinion: the food presentation is very poor, but this wouldn't be a problem if you have good food. But the food didn't taste much and was either dry or too greasy. I'm very sad of leaving a bad review, because the venue is actually very cosy and the family working there very nice and friendly (and that's the only reason for the 2 stars)...but in a restaurant it's (almost) all about the food...right?

The instant we stepped through the door of the place, the family that run it welcomed us as if to their home. Throughout the meal they were very friendly and helpful. All the food we had was excellent, as was the Greek wine which went down very well. We had between us various starters (halloumi, hummus and bits, whitebait) which were all good. The mains were excellent - moussaka, lamb and vine leaf dumplings were prepared to perfection - they all fit the category of hearty and warming, as Greek food should be.If I had to be picky we could have done with a bit more hummus at the start to go with the pitta, but this is the only minor niggle I can think of. And probably if we had asked they would have been happy to bring more. In any case, the exceptional welcome elevates it to 5-stardom in my book. The restaurant itself is quite small so I'd strongly advise booking as each night it appeared full when we walked past (including the night we ate there).

However I'd seen great reviews of this place and heard that it had been under new management for a couple of years, so thought we'd give it a try. So glad we did! We were greeted very warmly by the owners and ordered the meze, which I was surprised to see had even the more expensive mains on the menu, such as the lamb souvla, in there. Everything was delicious- haloumi and calamari were a favourite for me,as well as the souvlaki. Super generous portions, so great value for money. The deserts were equally delicious and great end to a such a hearty feast. Very cosy atmosphere and excellent service. Will be back very soon- definitely worth visiting this little gem!

My sons and their girlfriends came to me for two nights for Xmas. First night I cooked, then we were going out for our celebratory meal. The reviews were good and I thought we would enjoy trying something new, so I booked a couple of weeks in advance. They use TripAdvisor all the time and agreed that it looked great. It was a cold evening. Sitting near the door I had my winter jacket draped over my shoulders. When one of the girls asked about gluten-free, the response was very off-hand and according to one of my sons, 'condescending'.The starter was okay. The mains were disappointing. My souvla was burnt and fairly dry. The others were fairly non-plussed with theirs.Decided not to have a dessert. When the girls were given their coats, they must have been put somewhere open to the outside because they were cold. The bill arrived, just a total. When I asked for an itemised bill I was told I could look it up on the internet. As soon as we got out onto the street, everyone said they wanted to go home and have a bacon sandwich. So it hadn't been just me who thought the meal was small! It took a while to work out everyone's share of the bill, because it was wrong. We were overcharged by £3. Not much I know, but that is not the point ...So if you are hungry, my advice is find a decent pub and have a meal there instead

The waiters were exceptionally friendly and helpful, however, that is the only good thing I can say about this restaurant! This used to be a special place that I would visit back in the 1980s so I was so excited that is was still there 30 years later when me and my husband were revisiting Ealing. We couldnt decide what to order so we ordered a Meze - being frequent visitors to many Greek Islands and never disappointed with the good old Meze we thought it was an ideal choice - how wrong were we! First we were presented with three dips ie taramasalata/houmos and Tzisiki - yum couldnt fault these even though I openly saw the waiter dish them up from pre-bought tubs - not a problem as I realise that these days these things are not made on the premises anymore. The next course was a slice of lounza (bacon) with a slice of haloumi cheese on top - very tasty but tiny portion. Next course (btw no time inbetween each course - 2 more plates brought and placed down on the table before others taken away)! 3 types of greasy sausages - you could see the fat as you looked at them. Next course - squid and whitebait - so awful we couldnt even touch them! Next the meat dish which was manky burnt lamb chops(inedible)/ sliced greasy chicken and pork kebab (this course for sure was warmed up in the microwave as I heard it ping and we were the only customers there so it had to be ours)! along with a "Greek Salad" please note this salad only resembled anything like greek due to the fact that it had feta and olives - the rest of it you would find in any kebab takeaway - tiny pieces of cucumber and tomato with shredded iceberg lettuce! All in all this was a very disappointing evening and I felt very upset about it seen as we only had two nights there and felt that we had wasted one of them here. Over the years I have dabbled myself in Greek cooking and although no expert for sure, I could dish up something resembling more Greek than these people who have apparently been here for over 40 years! Shame on them - they need to revisit their routes to learn how to cook Greek food properly!

The restaurant overall is a good place, nice clean and with a very good atmosphere and service, personnel is really kind and careful and manage to make you feel at home and welcome. Food to me has not been exceptional, just Greek but not enough. Lamb souvlaki is good, but why on earth serving it with pilaf rice. Greek salad is definitely different than the one they served us (there was lettuce in this), moussaka was ok but not great, and always with the pointless rice next to it. Now this is a quaint restaurant. Food was excellent, very pricey for the portions. Large Greek salad was barely enough for one. Good service but little bit in your face. Would be better if they wouldn't pour your wine every sip!! In my opinion it's overated for its true quality or image it tries to create. Main meal was good in taste..... Small piece of salmon with 7 chunks of potatoes is not a meal worth £16.50. So I would give it miss. Better ambience elsewhere for far less. Restaurant was also cold. Heating was switched off. This is not intended to be a derisory remark. Cleanliness goes without saying, especially for a restaurant. But plain means straightforward. Not too much decor (aka "clutter"), a simple menu, no ostentation. The food was simply presented and VERY tasty. The service was excellent, just the right amount of attention but not constant interruptions. There was a small look of surprise when we decided to have desserts (which were, again, simply presented and tasted good). It's been a while since I was in London and this restaurant was a great place to catch up with a friend. We hadn't made a booking but they fitted us in for a quick dinner. Everyone easily found dishes on the menu that they liked (lots of delicious options! ) and the food was very yummy. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere felt authentic.

I ate here recently to introduce my son to Greek food. We had a good experience, the welcome was warm, there was a reasonable selection of food and drink, and the overall cost was as expected. Some spicy sausage made a good start to the meal, washed down with a glass of retsina. The mains were kleftiko for my son, and stifado for me. The kleftiko went down well, but the stifado was a bit bland. If there was rosemary, tomato, and feta in it (which have been in every stifado I've ever eaten before), the amounts were miniscule. It was like a beef stew you would get in a café. Another glass of retsina helped me through it. We moved on the dessert, a paklava and a galadoboureko (which I've never had before). Both were very enjoyable. Overall, a pleasant evening, but not quite a great one.

We've lived round the corner for 2 years now and been planning to visit since we arrived! We finally made it a week or so ago and it was well worth the wait. Lovely food, great service and good value. We'll be back!

Went here a few months ago on a quiet but stormy Tuesday evening and had a wonderful dinner. Owner (?) incredibly welcoming and finally felt like I found a bit of Greek in London. Food was great (I had pork souvlaki) and if you ask for any changes or additions they are very happy to accommodate. The woman next to me had moussaka which looked fabulous which I'll try next time (There will definitely be a next time)

A celebration family dinner for my mothers birthday. From the start we had an incredible genuine welcome and were made to feel at home with nothing being too much trouble. Good local food and reasonably priced wine. The extra special surprise was a chocolate cake with candles at no extra charge this really made the evening special.

I first came across this quaint, family-owned Greek restaurant about fifteen years ago, long before I'd lived in Ealing and was impressed by the pertinency of its name. The warm welcome and cheery food made a lasting impression on me, and having moved just round the corner four years ago, I'm happy to consider myself at least a regular-ish customer. The restaurant itself is cosy and welcoming, the service is excellent and the food is simple and unpretentious, but generous and satisfying. Whilst it’s always tempting to go for the signature moussaka (which is a perfectly fine choice), I recommend ordering the meze sharer as it gives more of a sense of the menu's variety. Great local restaurant and inexpensively priced.

We've dined at Wine and Mousaka a few times as its just up the road from us.Every time we've been there we've had a wonderful time. The owners are lovely and always make you feel like you're one of the family - and the service has always been impeccable. The food is always of a high quality and our favourite is the meze as you get to try a little bit of everything and it's all yummy!Overall, this is our absolute favourite restaurant in Ealing - not only is the food good but the service is really special, and it really feels like an 'experience' every time we visit.

Meze and pudding plus 2 drinks each came to £30 a head. The staff were friendly. The food was ok, but I have often had better Greek food. Even the Greek salad was a bit bland. House red and rose were just ok.

I visited this place after hearing great things from friends, and was not disappointed!I brought my parents on a busy Friday night and we received a warm welcome from the owners, which was a lovely personal touch and so rare nowadays. We had the halloumi and dips to start, Kleftiko, Mousaka and Pork Soulaki- all equally delicious and great with the obligatory Greek salad and washed down with a bottle (or 2) of Othello. The staff were attentive but not overbearing and the atmosphere was cosy and inviting. Portions were very generous and the bill came in just under £75, so really good value for money. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the Ealing area, couldn't recommend highly enough!

Great welcome, but food average. The salad was straight out of the fridge (or possible the freezer!). The main was OK, but not very tasty. The wine was not opened at the table, so who knows what was in it, although it tasted ok.

My boyfriend took me here yesterday as a surprise and the night was a fantastic one. What I had in store was nothing less than amazing with the help of the restaurant staff. I was sitting at the table sipping my champagne thinking what is the occasion? When my then boyfriend gets down on one knee and proposes to me and then a dozen red roses come along afterwards!

I went for dinner here to celebrate my birthday. It is a really quaint restaurant and we received a very warm welcome. The staff were courteous and attentive throughout the meal. The food was typically Greek, although huge portions, which included both rice and potatoes with the kleftiko! I am not a great lover of Greek wine, so was relieved to see that the house wine was Shiraz. After a lovely evening, it was totally spoilt by the staff hovering with their coats on, waiting for us to leave. Bearing in mind that it was an extremely cold January evening, only 9.45pm and we hadn't yet finished our wine, we were amazed that the air conditioning was then switched on!!! I won't be returning in the near future.

Went today for my wife's 30th birthday, just the two of us. She is also 7.5 months pregnant, so reliability of quality was extremely important. This little place was recommended by a good friend (who really knows his Greek food). The owner was very friendly, but not at all in your face or false, just sincere, perfect. We both had the meze at £21 each, we had dips, pittas, salad, seafood, grilled meats, halloumi, etc, all were lovely, and of great quality! We had a really nice, quiet meal, exactly what we wanted! The place was very busy considering we went in at 6.15pm, but not too busy, which said to me that it must have a great reputation (to have so many covers at 6.15pm on a Monday night).Really enjoyed, would definitely go back!!!

We've eaten here a few times, and it is a real treat. The food is great, the staff are really friendly and always happy to have a chat. We would recommend Wine and Mousaka to anyone. The brandy afterwards was also a lovely suggestion from the owner! If you order the Meze dish, make sure you arrive feeling hungry!

We used to go to Wine and Mousaka 40 years ago under different ownership. The current owners are delightful people and the standards are as high as ever. Delicious, tasty, tender lamb, with yummy potatoes, onions and tomato sauce. The service and welcome are exceptional. You can't beat this traditional Greek restaurant for a thoroughly good meal in Ealing. Highly recommended.

This one is a little gem we discovered. They do spit lamb! All the dips, the lamb and the mousakka were perfect. Greek salad had coriander though which is unusual :( Portion sizes super generous and very kind caring service too. Wish it was nearer my house but will try my best to go back.

Very warm welcomed by the owners despite beeing super busy and treated like regulars we felt like been here ever since. Our son (3.5 years) was able to watch the chef grill his fish and just enjoyed every minute of the stay. Food was great and matched the atmospehere. We will be back!

Have been here a few times for special occasions over the years and enjoyed the atmosphere and food. However on our last visit for my husband's birthday we took our 1 year old son. It was a Wednesday evening and he was actually very well behaved compared to other children, he was very happy and enjoyed the food. Other customers were smiling at him the whole meal. There were many people talking much louder than his voice (of appreciation of the food) but the owner (i think he was?) came over twice to say he was being loud and offer to get him something. Just after we'd finished our meal he came over swiftly again to remind us of this, essentially telling us to leave. Was very disappointed I had higher hopes for this place, we couldn't even have dessert and my husband waited by the door with our son while I paid (£80 for 3 people!). Definitely not a family friendly place and we won't be back, if you have children best to give this place a miss.

Our team (22 of us) organised an evening dinner at this very small and cosy venue. Traditional Greek dishes served quickly and efficiently, and everyone being served at the same time. The staff and management were lovely. They were friendly, cheerful and the service was excellent. This was my first time eating Greek food, it was fresh, tastey, well seasoned, well presented and there was plenty of it. On first arrival I didn't think we'd all fit in, but we did and there were still few more tables for others. I'd go back again.

Used to be a regular at retsina mousaka so this place had passed me by. It won't any more. From the moment we walked in the owners welcomed us and were hospitable throughout. On the spit was some beautiful looking lamb and we knew we were in for a good night. They have all the Greek Cypriot staples, all done exceptionally. Only small criticism from my friend was the size of his kleftico however it looked fine to me. Already planning next trip!
