As seasoned Wimpy eaters, we really like what they have done with this particular restaurant. The food and service are very good and the whole experience, apart from noisy groups occasionally, is excellent. Good luck to them.

Random visit to this particular Wimpy was actually heading out of Rayleigh and was planning on stopping in at Benfleet Wimpy but followed sat nav and brought me here by mistake, but i must say service and food was amazing!! Very polite and friendly staff very welcoming and accommodating! Best visit to a wimpy in a long time! Definitely be back for sure.

A random visit to the Wimpey in Rayleigh with my 89 year old mum was a wise move and her first visit ever to Wimpey ..She had the fish and chips and loved it and I had the double quarter pounder with cheese and chips ! It was such a lovely surprise when our meal turned up hot fresh and looking exactly like the picture on the menu from which we had chosen.. the staff were friendly and efficient and the food cooked to perfection .. the restaurant was immaculately clean and welcoming.. Elise and Ali couldn’t have been more attentive and efficient if they tried .. Wimpey Rayleigh you deserve your 5 star review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ we will be back .. Thankyou from Jane and Marian Crosland

Always enjoy a Wimpy, brings back childhood memories. This is a good one with great food, fast service and always a friendly welcome. (Cheaper to order in person than to use an app, I saved about 10%)

Most Thursday evenings we take my daughter to Wimpy after her dance class and she loves it. Service is all great and the burgers are great. Love the milkshakes too.

Took grandchildren for lunch food was fine.

I love Wimpey usually, but had a just eat delivery and was well over an hour and soggy and flattened.

The most rudest manager i have ever encountered . Zero customer service !!!!

Wimpy is a national treasure in my opinion. I grew up frequenting my local Wimpy on weekends as a boy and have tried various Wimpys. This particular Wimpy is always an exceptional experience compared to others I have been to. The food is cooked well, with generous portions; service is always quick, but you're not rushed out of the door, and the staff are always very pleasant. Thumbs up from me 👍

Staff are very friendly and it was nice and clean. Had the classic quarter pounder with cheese and a portion of chips. Burger was good (but not as good as I remember back in the 1980's) and the chips were red hot straight out of the pan. A nicer experience compared to the other burger chains by far.

I ordered via deliveroo and two items were missing, a fruit shoot and an ice cream sundae. Our order came to just over £46 for two adult meals and two kids meals. I phoned up to ask about the missing drink and ice cream sundae to be told they are unable to refund any money for this. They were closing so couldn’t send another order out. I am disgusted that after spending a large amount of money no refund was offered. Also the other child’s ice cream sundae was not a Sunday just a really small amount of ice cream put in a small paper cup. It didn’t even reach half way. This is not an ice cream sundae it’s a rip off especially as we were missing two items. I’m not happy at all with the service especially the customer service on the phone. They couldn’t have cared less.

First Wimpy we have had in a long time....New to the area. Got there at 7.55pm...Ali said it was no problem to get a takeaway 😜 Food was tasty as, Thank you Ali and the chef who's name I didn't ask but will next time we visit ....thank you so much see you again soon ✌😉

So this is a bit of an odd review but here goes, I've not been to this particular Wimpy since I moved out of the area close to 10 years ago now BUT I still have extremely fond memories of coming here as a kid with my mother. I doubt any of the original people still work there but the chef was an older gentleman with grey hair who always cooked the food perfectly how I wanted it, especially the fries well done lol.. I think he was the owner as well plus a younger guy who did the cooking perfectly as well. I will be back but living in the USA so not exactly local! Thank you for all the memories 👌

Decent quality meal, prompt and speedy, friendly service. It's Wimpy, so the food is consistently hot, made to order and filling. You get what you pay for, which is perfectly satisfactory.

Customer service disgraceful will not use again

This Wimpy changed hands as I think the previous owner retired. So, the new owners took over and it is fantastic as always. There have been changes inside but it is all lovely and clean as are the toilets. Obviously during Covid things have been tough but they offered delivery when allowed. Once you could go in to the restaurant social distancing etc was followed really well. We are regulars again and the food , service etc has been great. I often don't want the bun with the burger so they make it look really nice on the plate with salad on the side. You cannot beat a good Wimpy !!
