Absolutely fantastic service. I went in to Nottingham with my family and hadn't booked a table anywhere, we went here on the off-chance they could fit us in and they were so accommodating.nothing was to much trouble for the staff and all 8 meals were delicious 😋 definitely go back

My husband and I went to Wildwood for the first time today, for lunch. Friendly staff, not at all pushey. The waiter was very helpful. My husband had the Ribeye steak, which was perfectly cooked, (rare) and well rested. I had a Florentine pizza, the egg in the centre was nice and soft, perfect! We'll definitely be going again.

The food is delicious. I went for the first time last year with friends for a celebrations. We had an amazing time and the price for the food was good. However, we returned recently and the food was disappointing for the high prices. The food quality is not as good and undoubtedly not worth it. The service has remained good, so at least something is consistent.

Absolutely shocking, booked earlier in the day for a table at 9pm online and arrived a few minutes before, upon arrival we was told they hadn’t got our booking so she fetched someone else, she said sorry unless we was booked in we couldn’t come in to which I produced the email of conformation then to be told that they don’t accept bookings on the day and they’ve decided to close the kitchen due to staff going home leaving us with no booking at short notice having travelled into town! The most insulting part was a family of 4 came in just behind us and was seated as we walked out! So much for the closed kitchen !

Hi, me and my boyfriend come in here for pizza or pasta whenever we are in the town centre and fancy some food! The staff are nice and it is never too busy! 2-4-1 cocktails are nice too. The food is always consistently prepared to a high standard also. Would recommend: Spicy tomato pasta Bruschetta Any pizza Peri peri chicken penne Calamari

We ended up here when there was no space at zizis next door and honestly I’m so happy. The restaurant itself is so cute and rustic the staff were lovely and very efficient. The food was incredible and good portion sizes honestly it was lovely!!

Generally decent food, but sometimes seems difficult to get staff's attention (likely because we normally go when it is busy around Christmas)

Not sure where to start with this restaurant. One good thing we walked in and there was a table ready so we were seated straight away. A second good thing was that our drinks order was taken relatively quick. Now for the negatives. Our food order was taken 20 minutes after ordering our drinks despite us being ready to order when we ordered our drinks. Once our food order was taken we were waiting well over an hour for our food to be delivered. Tables walked in after us and placed their orders after us were served their food almost straight away. We were not given any notices on how long the food will be or if there is any delay is food coming out. Once the food eventually arrived, we have several problems. To begin with the oven baked lasagna we order was burnt to crisp. It was rock solid. It was that hard you couldn’t even place a fork into it due to how burnt it was. Even the waitress was disgusted with how it looked. Secondly the rosemary garlic bread was foul. There was no flavour to it and it was hard and cold. They may as well have served cardboard. We ordered a side of fries and they were cold, bitty, and very much over cooked. The calamari we ordered was 100% reheated and was more batter than squid. The staff all look miserable and there is no friendly service. We asked a staff member how long our food was going to be and they all looked around at each incompetently and was almost scared of the chefs. We did not feel welcomed in this place. It was that bad one of the waitresses even told us to complain. Would avoid at all costs. We certainly won’t be going back. ‼️UPDATE‼️ Following the reply from my review from the owner, they said a discount was added to the bill. However there was no discount added to the bill. We payed full price for everything. The only thing that got removed was a lasagna which was burnt to crisp. It got sent back to the kitchen in which we said we did not want to wait for another hour for a fresh meal. Therefore it was removed since we did not have this. What other discount was applied? None? We wasn’t even given any complimentary drinks or anything to apologise. Utterly disappointed.

Myself and my party of a total of 16 attended on Saturday. I have contacted Wildwood main office saying that I want to make a complaint, however 2 days has passed and I've received no correspondence back. We were seated separately Wasn't very happy when we asked to be seated at 1 long table, there was room for this. I was told by the manager well its difficult with large bookings. But if they couldn't manage a party this size they shouldn't have taken the booking. Waiting staff were miserable and flustered. Was told to be seated at 4pm as our food would be served then. If we weren't there at this time then our table would be given away. We were seated at 3:50 and at 4:10 they tried to take our orders. Even though we had to pre order 14 days before the booking (their requirement) Food did all come out pretty much together, so I commend them for that. However extra sides didn't come and I had to as for this twice. It finally came out after the person who had orded it had finished their main. They were good again here and gave her the side and took it off the bill. At the begining there were glasses set on the table. Once we orded a couple of drinks there ended up being 40+ glasses on the table. We stacked some of these glasses up on to our mains plates for them to be cleared and taken away. One of the service staff took the glasses off a place that a medium rare steak had been on. So yes this put the blood/juices from the steak all over the table. When I explained this the wait staff huffed and puffed then took the glasses away. But she did not come back to clean the blood up, I had to go to the bar area and request a cloth and I did this myself as we still had dessert to come. At least 6 of the Tiramisu that was brought out was still frozen (I was not aware of this at the time otherwise I would have said) steaks were extremely fatty, the Turkey was dry, there was very little portions and we were expected to eat Prawn cocktail with a fork and steak knife and had no where to put the extra bits you take off a Prawn. The people who had the pizzas said they were nice and the fries were too. However my colleague's dogs did enjoy the left over steaks. Vegan option isn't very good, Butternut squash for starter, Butternut squash for main and no vegan dessert. The person who was vegan still had to pay for dessert and give it away. Toilets were blocked and no one was around to raise this with. Food overall was mediocre and nothing you couldn't cook after a long day at work and not worth the price of up to £35 a cover. I wasn't aware of all these issues on the night otherwise I would have said something in the restraunt and asked the 10% service charge to be taken off the bills and asked for my vegan to be reimbused for their dessert, as they didn'toffer an alternative. We spent just over £700 so it's quite a bit extra. We have all given feedback from the QR code at the bottom of the receipt but we have chosen to not accept the voucher that was offered for doing this. The bill was given to one of the gentlemen in my party to pay, even though the booking was in a woman's name. I thought sexism was on the way out. Obviously not at Wildwood Nottingham!!! I was greatly offended by this. It's a shame I've had to resort to posting this on a public forum. But if no one wants to get back to me then I have very little choice.

If I have a day off i pop in here. All of the hard working staff are great. I get a lovely friendly welcome and all of the staff are professional. I tend to go in for lunch. And once a month i have dinner here with friends. A good menu and the pizzas at lunch time are very good. The Sauvignon Blanc is particularly good!

Excellent service We were told there was a delay for food due to the restaurant being very busy However the food was quick enough to arrive and worth the wait I had a risotto which was great Well worth a visit

The food is delicious and staff very helpful and friendly. If any negatives just wish the portions were a bit bigger as we spent £35 per head and came away wanting more! The staff are a credit to you 😊

It was our first time there and everything was lovey. The staff were brilliant, the service was fantastic, there were a couple of big parties as well as our own but everything came out at the right time and was all correct. Evie was our main server and was a dream to all of us. Very kind and patent with us all.

Went for a work's Christmas meal. Food was very average but eating a prawn cocktail from its serving dish was challenging when only equipped with a steak knife and fork!! Had to ask for more serviettes as initial one had to be used to place the shell and head of a prawn garnish (no charger plate given)...hands smelled as no wipes offered either. Main meal of sirloin and hot, crunchy chips with a watercress garnish was fairly enjoyable despite the odd sauce that was either curdled or had been frozen. My desert of luke warm chocolate fondant was sweet and tasty. Service was very slow due to volume of customers and after an hour had passed from starter, we were offered a free drink...really appreciated this - barman who oversaw this was excellent and deserves a worthy mention.

The food was disgusting the prawn cocktail was vile chewy prawns .Mary rose sauce was somthing I've never tasted in my life .this was on the Christmas menu .the main came out luke warm.non of the meals came out together I was finishing mine and sumone with us hadn't even had the meal put on the table..worst meal I've ever tasted in my life..pudding was OK. Would not go here ever again.. No stars....

The only reason why the star rating dropped is due to the incorrect phone number listed online. Both Google and their own website has a number that's not reachable, despite the restaurant being open, so it was rather disappointing to not be able to change your reservation in case of emergencies. The layout is beautiful and food is amazing - the atmosphere of the place has a magical feel to it. And they also deliver!

Ordered the Vegan lasagne which came promptly but there was quite a lot of spinach filling I had to pick some away. Other than that it tasted nice and had good vegan cheese on top. There were only 2 people serving so had to wait for bill but that's expected - staff were very friendly.

Check your bill they add the tip to the bill without asking ( £6 )

Having had the manager boast how much better Wildwood was than Piazza Express (next door) I was expecting great things! Pizza was cold had to send it back, wine never came, it was soooo mediocre, Id have preference Pizza Express TBH.

Went for a meal before a concert at the arena and the service was great everyone was really friendly. Food was delicious too

Kids eat for £1 during school holidays with every main dinner ordered. Bargain.

What establishment books 3 steak meals for a party and then says they only have 2. Substitute is ribs In barbecue sauce, but they’re dry and tough as old boots with the next excuse being……… “we did have any barbecue sauce so they will be dry” omg nit rocket science is it hospitality!

The food was cooked very nicely and the portions were good for the price. The staff are very friendly and the service quick. My only criticism was the noise. I couldn't hear the staff very well or the people I was with.

Thank you for a fantastic 2 course lunch today 😊. Brilliant value. Vegan lasagne was very tasty and not at all greasy. Buttermilk chicken burger was great and lighter option small pizza and dressed salad very substantial. Toilet areas 9.5/10. Lovely place to meet up with a friend who was visiting the area. Love love loved it!! Went today for my birthday meal and they put up a cute birthday banner and sang happy birthday to me. Honestly Clare and Emily were so lovely and I would happily come here again!! Also if you’re planning on coming make sure to book because today was a bit busy but I think that’s because it was a bank holiday. However could not fault anything

Absolutely amazing experience, one of the best restaurants my partner and I have been to. They decorated our table for my partner’s birthday with banners and confetti, and even put a candle in the dessert and sang happy birthday - I only put ‘birthday’ on the occasion when booking, so we weren’t expecting a full celebration yet it was much appreciated. The drinks were delicious and the food was absolutely to die for, the staff (Clare and Emily) were both very friendly, bubbly and helpful, and made our evening very special, we tried to leave an extra tip but were told the service charge is the limit they take as extra, so hopefully this review does their amazing service and the food’s outstanding quality justice. We’ll be back!

Food was ok, not enough BBQ sauce for ribs considering the place was nearly empty service was slow. I had gluten free pasta which was good and spicy and although they have vegan cheese on the menu in other dishes I wasn't offered any.

Took my granddaughter's there for lunch. Pretty good menu and service was very good.

Ordered a steak which, according to the menu, comes with peppercorn sauce. Steak arrived without sauce. Asked the waitress about the sauce. She checked with the cook and got told they ran out. Would have been nice if I got informed about the lack of sauce when ordering, as I would've chosen something else off the menu. It was delicious despite the lack of sauce.

Nice staff and healthy food. I like the pizza,it’s crispy and not oily.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly and were great with my 1 year old daughter. Plenty of room for the prams. A lovely relaxed atmosphere.

Disappointed in the food, used to be better

After reading the reviews I was a bit weary visiting this restaurant for the first time. We were a party of 10 and I was very impressed with the food and service. Food drinks came out quick staff were lovely…. Definitely visiting wildwood again.. thank you for a lovely evening

We came with 3 kids aged 6-9. Excellent veggie options. Excellent service (speedy and attentive). Excellent options for a lighter meal. Our food: the vegan lasagne and the penne alla norma was really tasty. The kids loved their desserts in particular but also polished their mains. Highly recommended if looking for an alternative to the mainstream pizza and pasta restaurants with kid friendly options. Also during some school holidays kids eat for £1 when an adult pays for a main.

Probably the worst food, you’re better off going to Bella Italia . Had a Arabiatta pasta and paid extra £2 for chicken to have 3 small pieces of cold soggy pieces of chicken when I said I don’t have much chicken and the female waiter responded by ‘ well there’s more than one piece there’ very bland and not much choice of pizzas. The male waiter was nice though.

Not a pleasant experience I'm afraid. After waiting half an hour for our food, we asked when it would be ready, and we're told '2 minutes'. It was 10. When the food arrived, it was OK- I had confit duck, which was nice, if a small portion. My younger sons pizza was very basic, my elder's pasta similar, and my wife couldn't taste the goats cheese in her pasta. I asked why the food had taken so long, and was told they were 'busy'. Despite the fact the people to our left arrived after us, ordered after us and got their food before us. 40 minutes to make a pizza is unacceptable, and my son was crying with hunger by the time the food arrived, which may explain my words. The service was poor, the food nothing to write home about, and there are too many other, better places in Nottingham for us to go back

This is a wonderful place. The staff were super friendly and helpful. It was my stepdaughter's birthday and they were more than happy to bring our cake out, even singing Happy Birthday for her. The pizza I had (Fiorentina) was quite simply the best I had ever had. Kudos to the chef! All in all, a great visit and I would highly recommend Wildwood Nottingham.

Wonderful pizza, excellent service even though busy. Desserts seemed over priced but were delicious. Nice surroundings would definitely go there again.

This was surprisingly lack lustre. It's positioned next to two other pizza places, and I'd recommend going to those instead. The food was poor, and the service was poor. I had to ask for the bill twice.

Got us in at short notice for a 16th bird at celebration. They kitted it out with balloons and gave the birthday girl free dessert. The food was excellent and generous portioned too.

Looking for a new pizza place for my son and Wildwood was his next place to try. Had a great pizza on the kids menu and lasagne on the main. Both were delicious and the service just made the visit even better

We came for lunch today with our 2 kids. Seated quickly. Ordered food. It soon became apparent that the kitchen staff were struggling with orders/making them wrong/leaving orders on the pass for 15 mins and still not taking them to the table. There was a customer who kept coming to the pass, they’d been waiting over an hour for their meal, when the table next to them who came in afterwards had already had their meal. Several customers were sat looking at their watches. We waited 45 mins… there was still no sign they were even cooking our meals, so I paid for the drinks we had and left. The poor guy behind the bar looked like he was on the verge of a panic attack, as he was under so much pressure. I asked him if he was ok, but he was visibly not. The manager was just stood at the pass, shaking his head at the kitchen staff. Something seriously went wrong today! I don’t think we will ever return from this experience today, after having such a great experience before. Such a shame.

Horrible in every way. The most callous narcissistic waitress just totally ignored us. I mean like we were the dirt on her shoes. Nonchalant downright mean and has negative customer service skills. I mean if I could give this place negative stars I would. Stay away and go elsewhere. Im horrified that in this day and age such nasty reception is still a thing. Never agsin

Waited 30 mins for a small cold starter (bruschetta) in a half empty restaurant (about 10 tables) at about 4pm. Only ordered a starter as it was a lunch snack and no main. My dish was also smaller than expected for the price. Waitresses were polite and quick to seat me but kitchen was slow and I wasn’t informed. Complained and got a small discount but won’t ever go again.

Food once we got served was lovely cooked very well served in a lovely way. Service dreadful many staff not a lot happening, one lady doing lots but unfortunately don't have her name. Location good lots of choice.

We popped in for some lunch. They had no chicken which meant most of their pasta dishes were no good. All of our food was very average unfortunately and it seemed quote overpriced.

Called in on a Friday lunchtime to take advantage of the two course lunch menu. Very pleased with my choices the bruschetta was fresh yellow and red miniplum 🍅 in a gorgeous pesto sauce. I am not really a burger fan but treated myself to the cheese burger. Lovely chips 🍟. Burger was well cooked and nicely dressed too. Lovely glass of merlot as a lunchtime treat

Service appalling. Got told to wait while they clear a table, we had one booked but didn’t even ask us. Left waiting 15mins to order drinks, then another 15mins to actually get the drinks. When came with drinks they took our food order, they didn’t have the items we wanted (why not tell us when giving menus?). Then we sat for waiting for the food when we could see it on the bench at the kitchen (we were sat right next to kitchen). Even chef was ringing his bell and complaining lots of food waiting to go out! Food came and it was luke warm as waiting so long. Sweet potatoes fried black, burnt to a crisp but cold, and completely inedible so sent them back. I was now in a hurry as had bowling booked so paid and left. After leaving I thought it was more expensive than I expected, checked receipt and they had added on a 10% service charge. Absolute cheek!!! I should have been paid to endure that service not tip for it! Will not be going back and will advise others the same.

Food wasn't bad but the service was shocking when plates of food were racking up on the serving hatch with 5 members of staff hanging around the bar chatting . And then to top it off have the audacity to add a 10% service tip

We spent £187 between 8 of us which is very reasonable but I was on the cusp of walking out because the bar manager was so unbelievably rude. We walked in wanting a decent red wine she suggested a wine of which she gave us 2 teaspoons in a water glass to sample then said "I can't keep giving you free samples." I don't think I've felt so insulted in a long time but kept quiet because I was with guests. She eventually agreed to another sample of the malbec which was passable. So I asked why samples were given in a water glass. "We only use wine glasses if you buy the wine." What sort of rubbish is this?? Do you really want to survive the recession or don't you? Unfortunately couldn't taste my pizza as still haven't got my taste back. The wine smelt good but couldn't taste it. Must have been OK. Pizza looked and smelt great. Mine was a bit burned but that's OK -- adds character.

Amazing food, we got the rosemary garlic bread to start. Usually not a fan of food with lots of herbs but this was so lovely. For main course I had a spaghetti pomedora as it comes, but you do get the option to add chicken etc to it, it was so so lovely I would recommend. They had a lunch menu with a deal on which looked reasonable and had lots of different food options to choose from. As a drink I had a passion fruit crush mock-tail which was really lovely. The server in there with the cool tattoos was really friendly and chatty. Overall a fab experience, very good choice in music whoever was on the aux at that time also.

Came as we was moving my daughter into university accommodation and omg we wasn’t disappointed. With us being picky eaters and my daughter having a gluten allergy, the team ensured everything was taken care of. Pizzas and baked chicken and mushroom are amazing and service was fab! Will definitely visit again when next down.

Complete disregard for allergies. Have started cooking food in the kitchen in nut oil without updating the allergen menu. And then kept trying to serve us food cooked in nut oil despite us repeatedly saying we have someone with a severe nut allergy in our party. Really dangerous, someone could die because of their lack of care.
