We had Xmas dinner here on Thursday 14th. Summer was the only person on the floor. She was. Brilliant answering the phone whilst greeting customers, clearing tables taking orders delivering drinks and having chats with clientele and also wishin those well who were leaving. Amazing lady amazing temperament and patience. Give that girl a pay rise and extend her contract. Sorry I haven’t commented earlier. And no I have never met this girl in my life Before. .

After a family day out with our dog we found a very welcoming atmosphere in this cosy pub/ restaurant . Our food was lovely and the service was really friendly and attentive. I am vegetarian and chose a Beyond Burger which was great. The staff even brought our dog a mini dish with bits of chicken . We will certainly be back next time we are around the Ards peninsula.

It was busy which was an advantage food served quickly very hot and gorgeous highly recommend

We were a sizeable group so we were only permitted a set menu. How this place has a taste of ulster badge we do not know. For the vegetarian or vegan among us the food was deplorable. Noodles with no dressing or sauce, a slab of cold tofu that was not seasoned at all, and a half courgette. That’s it. One poor fish eater had the tiniest piece of sea bass atop pasta, again without a sauce or dressing. It’s without doubt the worst vegetarians and vegan food we have encountered. We’re happy never to darken it’s doors again due to the complete lack of skill, interest or care for our range of diners

Called in last Sunday with a friend for lunch staff where lovely shame about the food we both got roast beef dinners one slice of beef that you couldn't even eat or cut through cabbage that looked awful no proper vegetables on the plate first and last time won't go be back

We came here during the summer for some food and we were very disappointed. So we decided to give it another go on Saturday 14th October and again ordered the fish. It came out badly burnt. I don't know what's going on in there but I definitely won't be back. Shame, as the bar staff are really nice and friendly.

Cosy restaurant with really tasty food, our kids loved it, friendly and helpful staff. Bread and butter pudding was delicious. Highly recommend

To be fair I was there on a quiet Tuesday night. Didn't have any food but did have a lovely craft beer made by a local micro brewery. Nice country pub and if there was a fire lit on these darker colder nights it would be great.

The starter was awful ordered garlic bread with salad no dressing no garlic dip the salad looked outta date waited 40 mins on fish n chips and burger the bap was moist the meat was nearly swimming in grease the fish wasn' nice either wouldn't go back

Delicious Chicken fingers for this American! However what they consider bbq sauce is very different from what Americans are used to.

Not pleased with a food, we had deep fried cheese for starter wich was lacking flavour and was bland, for mains we had a salmon sandwich and scampi, salmon sandwich was a disappointment bread was socked in oil and it's was hard to cut it with a knife, salmon was tasteless and wasn't fresh as edges of a salmon slices were grey. Scampi was soaked in oil absolutely inedible, the only thing that was ok was a chips that came with it. Service was super slow even though there was 4 people in the restaurant. We have waited over 40 minutes for our disappointment. I would rename this place to Greasy Inn. Also outside sitting area was dirty felt like a public picnic area rather then a restaurant.

We popped in on the off chance and were found a table. Staff are friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and hot, portions are generous! Definitely recommend

Our first time dining here and it won't be the last! They had lost our online booking but they had no problem in accommodating us. Our children had the pizza and sausages followed by chocolate ice cream - both were enormous portions and they really enjoyed their meals. My husband and I had the steak sandwich and blue cheese Angus burger. Both were superb quality and the pepper sauce is unreal. Friendly and efficient service from lovely staff. We hope to return very soon.

Really cosy, old tavern feel. Asparagus risotto last I was in and it was beautiful.

Called in for lunch in the beer garden. Weather was great, service was great & food was great. Large selection on the lunch menu & portions are big. Not too busy at 13:30, but got busier before we left. I would recommend the Wildfowler Inn for lunch.

Excellent potted crab starter even better fresh haddock as main course. This place does good fresh food good portions too. All served hot with a smile. 100% recommendation

Called in at 3.30pm bank holiday Monday with no reservation but thankfully they were able to accommodate us (party of 4) lovely staff, quick service even though they were busy, excellent food, we had burgers x2, scampi & chicken strips, good portion sizes & value for money.

Very pleasant staff. I was allowed to bring my dog with me. Big plus for me.

Food was really bad unfortunately but the waitress was lovely and helpful but the food was genuinely awful. I've eaten there before and the food was excellent but on our return we were absolutely disappointed. Menu was different to the one online and the prices had increase to the one online. Starters were returned and mains were just about edible we didn't bother with dessert as by that point our mind was made up. I hope they can get back to the levels of pur first visit.

Went to the wildfowler recently . I had pigeon for starters and it didn't dissapoint . For mains I was tempted by the burger . Again well presented and tasted delicious . I would recommend to anyone . Oh and for those who like desserts I recommend pavlova. A well deserved 5 stars

Called in on Mothering Sunday having pre-booked. First class service very attentive especially with the young grandson. Food was excellent for quality and price. They pour an excellent pint of Guinness. We will be back.

I visited the the Wildfowler about 2 years ago and the food was excellent so on my visit yesterday I was horrendously disappointed. The Menu online is no longer in use and prices and menu on arrival have both changed. Awful food at a much higher price. Apparently they have a new chef who obviously isn't at the same standard as the one that has just left. Starters were returned as inedible and mains were average at Best. We didn't stay for dessert as by then our opinion on our experience had been decided. The waitress was lovely and doing her best but the standard of food was extremely bad.

Came in last week with my family! There was 10 of us and we weren’t waiting long before our food was served! The staff were lovely and came to check on us often to make sure we didn’t need more drinks etc! The food was well presented and tasted as good as it looked! Would definitely book again and I would highly recommend the Wildfowler to anyone!

Very friendly staff, good service and great food. Be aware that they don't skimp on their portions so if you're looking something filling you've found the right place. Prices are very reasonable for what you get too.

Potatoes hard. Green beans did not taste of anything. Water on plate. Frozen chips. Very poor. Would not visit again.

Ordered sirloin great Chicken great Kids meal burger full of paper went to look for staff to find 4 staff all throwing food around the kitchen !!! The response from the supervisor Tyler was absouloutely shocking !! Owner is never here ? have you a number ? Just call in and see if you can get him!! We did wonder why there was no one in , well now we know why!!

Very happy with the food, tasty and well presented. The young chap behind the bar seemed to be way out of his depth - customer service poor, and panicked when 5 people were paying separately (he had tried to get one of the party to pay for all of us but as none of us were connected this was a non-runner). Perhaps more training needed?

Cold place and cold food Food was very basic and plain Servers don't know what a smile is Got a metal nozzle surprise in a latte, they did take the latte off the bill so that's 1 positive I guess Won't be back for sure.

We have had our work’s Christmas dinner here 2 years in a row and it was fantastic both times. Once again, there was a great atmosphere, very pleasant staff and great food, especially the turkey and ham. Would highly recommend.

Usually really love this place but today I was so disappointed. Starters of brie and creamy vegetable soup with freshly made wheaten was delicious but unfortunately the mains were no way meeting expectations. Christmas dinner was presented on a plate swimming in gravy, with frozen brussel sprouts and roast potatoes, sloppy mashed carrot and parsnip and dried up turkey and cocktail sausages, oh and I just about found the ration of ham which turned out to be inedible. All served warm, not hot. We had hoped that the length of time we waited for service and between courses they must be cooking fresh but not so

We went there for lunch with family and friends. What a great place, the food was excellent, we had a variety of meals and there were no complaints. The service was excellent and the place was clean. If we return to this area we will visit again.

Really disappointed ate lunch here y,day had the salmon which I cldnt even cut through the skin it was so tough I understand its meant to be crispy but this was overdone and the potatoes where unedible I'm not sure what was over them but it was not nice partners lunch came and he thought it had been dropped and thrown back on plate it looked so bad really a shame as wee have had the same meal before and it was outstanding needless to say that was our last visit

Had lunch here yesterday and it was so tasty and plenty of it. I had soup to start and chicken stack for main and wife had prawn cocktail then baked salmon. Can't wait to go back to try more of the nenu

We chose the Wildfowler because my partner believes it to have the nicest veggie burger she gets anywhere. We arrived, admittedly without a booking at 4pm and told to take a booth. At 4.30 I gave up on anyone coming near us despite them walking past us several times and went to the bar to order some drinks and see if we could get menus. At this stage there were 6 tables in the restaurant and 3 foh staff. 45 minutes after we arrived our order was taken, the food was as always very good. The kids goujons were proper moist pieces of chicken, the veggie burger was as good as remembered (maybe slightly less salad this time) and the breaded brie was delicious. There were no check backs and on nearly every occasion it was drop and run. The exception being when the younger waitress came with our extra fries. We were there for 2 hours 45 mins for a meal that given the speed it actually came from the kitchen should have been 1h30 . Done all the difficult bits right but let down by a lethargic front of house

Booked a table over the phone for 4pm today20/10/22. It wasn’t busy but it was early doors. Warm greeting from staff and very pleasant atmosphere.4 of us eating an early evening meal.service exceptional, professional and friendly 3 of us ordered the special which was duck . It was superb and the service cannot be faulted.generous portions too. The starters looked very good too but we weren’t exceptionally but we will be next time!!! Thank you to all the staff and chef at this delightful pub.

Nice and clean staff were really nice couldn't do enough for us , food was nice too and the beer was on point wasn't very busy but it was a Thursday afternoon keep up the good work guys

Food great but staff not, after 3 recent visits I think that will be my last certainly for some time to see if things change . Advertised as open until 11.00pm Saturday night but when I asked for an Irish coffee at 8.50pm I was told sorry were getting closed up . During the meal no one came to ask if everything OK or if more drinks required, oldest staff member looked no older than 20 which is fine if there trained and professional at there job but this is not the case just a load of kids which has been the same on every visit , doesn't appear to be any management or front of house to run things . Lovely log burner fire which I sat beside to enjoy a bottle of wine which I had to go to bar to order as no waitress came near us to ask if ee would like another drink and place almost empty so no excuse for being rushed of there feet .Log burner went out at around 7.30pm as no one thought to put a log on it so have to say all and all very disappointed with service which is a shame as food lovely . Won't be back for some time as to many other good restaurants which I'm sure would appreciate my custom.

Found this place on a street corner while passing through Greyabby and looking for somewhere for lunch. Parking at the side nailed the deal. Decent ambience inside. The staff were prefessional and as friendly as they should be. Fish chowder was off the menu so I had the salmon. The portions were average, and while I have seen some reviews saying they were huge this was definitely not the case. But that is often the case when you opt for fish. The food itself was good and the fish perfectly cooked. Really good. When we visited there were only a few tables taken but we waited a long time for the food to be served. Overall, recommended and if passing I'll definitely call in again.

There’s only two vegetarian options for the main course which is quite limited but the plant based burger is great. We’d go back more often if there were more vegetarian choices.

We had an amazing food experience with our family

My partner and I were here this evening as he remembered the food was excellent. The whole place needs a deep clean, the ladies toilets are ancient, cracked tiles, no air hand dryers just paper towels and the bin for them was over flowing, I'm assuming the staff hadn't been in to check or clean the bathroom all day and the floor was sticky and the place stank. Food wise, well the hand cut chips were definitely frozen chips and reheated, the two types of fish we had were frozen not fresh and were so greasy, looks like they were taken from the fryer straight onto the plate without letting the oil drip off. We will not be back there again.

Myself and two friends eat regularly here and certainly enjoy the beautiful food on offer. The menu is varied and we tend to try different dishes each week. Both my friends have what you would call a "healthy appetite" so every week it's clean plates...

Food amazing great service highly recommended

The Irish scampi was full of flavour and the creme brulee was fantastic. As for the Guinness the only time I have drank better Guinness than this was at the Guinness factory. Next time I'm in the area I will be returning to this delightful little Inn.

Wildfowler Inn is one of the best restaurants around. Lovely welcoming open fire with friendly staff and the best coffee around. Lovely home cooked meals, you will not be disappointed here. Even if you want to just chill by the fire with a glass of wine and a book this is the place. Cant recommend highly enough.
