Visited today for the second time in a month Excellent service Excellent food Lovely atmosphere and first class service Would recommend to anybody who likes good food and also value for money

We had a family dinner here yesterday. Lots of outdoor seating and excellent kids play area. Food was delicious. I liked the QR code and app ordering service, it was prompt. Would certainly come back to this pub again for food if we happened to be in the area.

First time back at the White Horse and great to see it has maintained its atmosphere of hospitality and excellence. Meals were very enjoyable, staff warm and welcoming, seating safe and ideal. Thank you all.

Had a lovely meal at the White Horse last night, sitting in their heated marquee. The atmosphere was very relaxerd, but also felt very covid-secure and safe. Very yummy food, servied piping hot, considering it was brought from the kitchen to the outdoor eating area, and felt like excellent value for money. Very friendly and polite staff, overall a very enjoyable evening and would definitely return

Superb, had a lovely lunch here in the marque, staff very friendly and efficient, food was very well presented and tasted excellent.

We visited today with my elderly parents and asked for a secluded table and the White Horse delivered exactly that. We felt safe with their COVID safety arrangements in place and lots of sanitiser available. The main pub looked really cosy with a lovely open fire. The food was delicious, the service delightful and we would definitely return when we can visit Suffolk again. Even husband, who is picky about where he orders steak as he is usually unhappy with the result, was very complimentary about his steak lunch! Sad about lockdown but sure this place will thrive given the quality of its food available for takeaway.

This is an excellent pub they make you feel very safe and very welcome . The staff are delightful. The menu is varied and has new things on offer each time we go.

If you are after a 'traditional' Sunday lunch roast you will NOT be disappointed. Chicken and pork about £13; Lamb and Beef £14 approx.There are some lovely walks from the pub to work up your appetite if required, booking is essential and the pub felt very safe with the C-19 changes. We had a lovely warm welcome even thought we arrived a little earlier than we booked, the 4 roast meat and veggie options were superb. I had the lamb shoulder which literally fell off the bone. A beautiful, rich flavoured gravy which I could have drunk straight from the jug! Plenty of veggies and we had a couple of extra cauliflower cheeses. The portion size was ample and my pudding caused an intentional wardrobe malfunction.... Staff were really friendly, helpful and the overall service couldn't have been better. Would 100% recommend this pub and I can't wait to go back again. Compliments to the chefs, manager and all the staff, your doing a great job! Thanks x

We had a Sunday lunch at the white horse, everything was perfect, 4 of us had main course and deserts, 2 fillet steaks cooked medium/rare, 1 roast beef and 1 beef bourguignon, all exceptional, 4 deserts, if anything, even better! Service was prompt and friendly, ales well kept, a really nice dining experience.

Very happy when we arrived, throughout the meal and we felt safe. The meals were very good. I had the beef bavette and chips but would have happier with Frites but it was excellent nonetheless and rare to medium so thank you, Chef. The lamb was good, the fish and chips were good and my wife loved her pastry tartlets.

Booking is probably wise. They are doing the social distancing nicely. Staff very friendly and helpful. King prawns in chilli and garlic was well presented, tasted great and was a generous portion. Fish and chips were also very nicely done. Not been here for a couple of years but will be back soon.

We took a chance on this gastro pub for my birthday lunch yesterday and so glad we did as it’s one of the best places we’ve ever eaten at. The staff were lovely - we were made to feel welcome on arrival and the service was very friendly and very good. The menu was interesting and all three courses were delicious and seemed to be made with fresh, high quality ingredients (I had pulled pork fritter with poached egg and hollandaise sauce, steak burger with amazing fries, and banoffee sundae). We were impressed with the Covid measures – the place was spotless and there were plenty of hand gel dispensers on hand and the NHS QR code clearly displayed on the wall. We will definitely return – just wish it was nearer!

Stopped in on the off-chance on a Sunday lunchtime. Pub/staff were obviously busy but friendly and welcoming. A lovely garden. And reassuring covid-measures (eg the masks, staff keeping their distance when talking to us). (NB their procedure is smartphone based, but they accommodated us without, taking our order and contacts manually).

Called in on the off chance, after a local cricket match. The QR Code system for ordering drinks was brilliant, with a quick & efficient service, of drinks being brought to our tables in the garden.The garden had some beautiful play equipment, including a table tennis table which provided much hilarity.Though we we’re unable to eat as the kitchen was closed. The chef was cleaning out the ice cream machine, he very generously brought cones for those who would like one - no charge.Certainly a pub that warrants a second visit to sample the menu & the extensive drinks menu available.Thank you so much for making Nowton Cricket Club, feel welcome today.

We had a fabulous roast dinner in the garden today. 3 families on separate tables, all ordered on line, fantastic service and fabulous food. Our dog was very welcome, the kids had lots to do in the garden, the ordering system was flawless and the staff were very efficient. Obviously well run, and extremely thoughtful management. Well done.

I can't say enough good things about The White House. Even in this crisis we are dealing with we have just had a fantastic meal. The staff were VERY good, polite, attentive but not too much and smiling under their face masks. The food was very reasonably price, well presented and excellent quality and some great real ale!

We hadn't been since December 2019 when we had a good visit then but this surpassed that. We only decided on the morning and booked a table online no problem. They have the Covid measures well in place. Very impressed all staff wore masks. The menu for all 3 courses is wide and varied and the largest we have seen anywhere since since CV lockdown eased. We had feta in breadcrumbs with sweet chiili sauce as one starter and the other was chicken liver pate with caramelised onion and small bruschettas. Both we very good and they provided extra bread for the pate no problemThe mains were on a different levelHome made lasagne which was so tasty with many herbs and with salad and bread and chips and a very good sized portion I had to help my wife finish. I had lamb shank which was simply superb in a jus gravy and mash. We finished with sharing an home made strawberry cheesecakeAccompanied with a lovely bottle of merlot all in all a wonderful lunch. The 2 ladies that served us were equally good, polite and helpful throughout and attentive but not too muchHighly recommended we will be back very shortly

Went for Saturday lunch in the garden. The food was amazing, the setting is gorgeous and great facilities for kids and teenagers. The QR code system for ordering is great - service is fast and efficient. Really enjoyed our socially distanced lunch. A lot of thought has gone into the set up to keep everyone safe - I was really impressed and will be back!

Went through on route to Norfolk from Cornwall and discovered this delightful place near to Bury St Edmonds. Worth the extra few miles as this place is simply heavenly for foodies and couples- nice decor, excellent service and glorious food!

A great meal in lovely surroundings . Social distancing was very well managed and the food and drinks were very easily ordered using the phone and the service was excellent. All in all a very good experience and we are looking forward to returning soon.

My wife and I were on holiday in this area and visited the White Horse twice and took our Springer spaniel with us. It was perfectly set up for Covid restrictions: QR code for online ordering. Gazebos to sit under. The staff were so friendly and really helpful. They are a dog friendly pub with water bowls and staff genuinely pleased that you brought your dog. The food was delicious- we had an evening meal with good standard gastro pub food and then a Sunday lunch which was delicious. Highly recommended.

The pub is really well set up for those being cautious over Covid. Tables have a QR code, good wifi in the garden to make it work and pretty rapid delivery of drinks and food to the table. Lots of tables under gazebos or party tents for inclement days.

Turned up just after they had finished serving but they accommodated both us and the dog. Great curry, very tasty lamb casserole and the dog enjoyed her slices of beef!

Great light lunch. Chef was very helpful and waitress was lovely. Such a pretty pub with beautiful garden. Food was delicious. We ate indoors and felt so comfortable with tables set at a sensible distance from the next. Look forward to going again.

Just had a pint . They have put in place the most fantastic measures to make you feel completely safe. Order with an app, staff in masks , so well organised. Please support this pub they are doing everything they can.Our first venture out ... what a fabulous treat at this fabulous pub.

We came here for Sunday lunch. The pub is beautiful and as a family the beer garden was amazing- table football, table tennis, swingball. Plenty to keep the kids entertained whilst you enjoy a pint in the sun. Great choice of wines and beers. Kids menu portions were generous and good value. Lamb shank slid off the bone. Fish and chips were good. Definitely will be coming back.

We took our friends from Canada to White Horse Inn and they absolutely loved it from the charm and originality of the building to the food. Staff were friendly and helpful, food was excellent, desserts ... hmmm ... also excellent. Highly recommend the Bertha Chicken. Price very reasonable for the quality of the food. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again very soon

Walked in to the White House at 1.20pm on a Friday, it was busy and we had no reservation.My wife and I were shown to a table,served drinks and our lunch order was taken. 2 courses each , served in good time , both courses were very good.Service was great , food was great , price was good for the quality of food served. Recommend 100%

Went for lunch on Saturday. Easy booking via Open Table, booked for 4 for 1:30 (latest booking for lunch). Fantastic menu with a range of choices to suit everyone. Our party opted for Halluoumi Burger, Steak Burger, Fish & Chips and the Fish platter (starter for 2). Food was really tasty and not a morsel was left on out plates. Staff were excellent, really friendly and attentive. Beer was good and for those who prefer low alcohol, Adnams Ghost Ship 0.5% in a bottle satisfied. All in all a really relaxing lunch in a lovely setting. Thoroughly enjoyed by all

We were brought to this delightful pub as guests of another couple. We had no way of knowing that this was not a 'typical' English pub. Certainly calling it a pub does not do it justice. The interior is much nicer than a normal pub and the food was certainly considerably better than what we have experienced in the past when we visited England. Our server was a youngish lad who couldn't have been more helpful and answered all questions fully and clearly. My sea bass was presented beautifully and was just delicious. Everything was just perfect. I rarely give a full five star rating to any restaurant or other type of vendor, but this time I give it unequivocally. Would I recommend this restaurant to anyone....without reservation.

We never disclosed any dietary preferences when we first entered and so when it came to ordering food it was pointed out to us that pork was in the meal. Being from South Asian descent, I was pretty shocked and upset that this still happens. One of us is vegetarian, which we mentioned later but that really shouldn't need to be raised, the dietary preferences are clearly marked on the menu. I am quite appalled that I still have had no apology.

The reason why I wrote a review in the first place is exactly because an assumption was based on race which ruined my experience!!!

Had the most amazing food I’ve had in a very long time and that’s coming from someone who dines out a lot. The staff were abundantly friendly and helpful especially as I’m gluten and dairy intolerant. They helped me navigate the extensive menu and even adapted a dish. Can’t wait to return.

Having booked on the strength of the good trip advisor reviews, we understood that it was a real local pub so were a little apprehensive on arrival, that said we were immediately made welcome and were sat much earlier than our initial table reservation. The service was spot on, staff were friendly and food was delicious and well presented in an unpretentious way. I had the pork belly which was amongst if not the best I have ever had, as was the other half's salmon. We left feeling incredibly full and satisfied. Should we be in the area again we will definitely return!Also there are lots of dogs cutting about, including the resident canine who sadly didn't want to know us.

Yes, we can read the menu fine thank you! We live in times when vegetarianism/veganism is on the rise regardless of whether you're white, brown, black and everything in between! I'm not one to get fussed but I was seriously unimpressed with the attitude from the lady serving us and that covertly racial slur really irked me so it just ruined the entire experience. Not to mention it's redundant and out of order!!! All that just to get a nibble to eat ey!Otherwise a beautiful location, wonderful food. Shame!

We went to The White Horse Inn for Sunday lunch. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was excellent. The Falafel starter and the Haggis and mash main were delicious.

We had a wonderful Christmas Day Lunch at the White Horse. The food was gorgeours and the service as good as it always is. The whole operation is so professional but at the same time happy and friendly. Thank you so much to all of the staff.

We’ve been here many times before so we came to celebrate my daughter’s birthday . The food is ok nothing amazing but perfectly acceptable Sunday pub food . What was really awful was that we were told at least 3 times that we had to be finished by 2 pm - so rude and inhospitable . Actually 2 hours is pretty much ok for a meal and probably would have naturally finished by then, but it was the hassling that was just plain horrid. Our first course was cleared away whilst one of our party was still eating - and our table was cleared around us as we were trying to enjoy coffee. The service was slow so there was actually no time to have pudding. And the next occupants were bought in to crane over our table whilst we were still sitting there. We did actually finish 2 pm on the dot - hope they were satisfied. My husband actually left a fiver tip because he felt sorry for the young waiting the table, it wasn’t their fault .

Proper Country Pub absolutely packed on a Friday night great atmosphere. Service good and friendly all 6 of us enjoyed our meals.

We didn't realise we haven't visited the White Horse for 4 years. We visited for lunch yesterday and it was lovely. We were warmly welcomed when we entered. Shown to a nice table by a window. We were advised food may be slow as freshly cooked and a large group was already in but as we were not in a hurry that was no problem. We found the menu to be wide and varied which was nice to discover. We started with king prawns baked with chorizo which was delicious as was the tandoori chicken bits with a bharji. Then onto main course which we both had beef cheeks which were superb. The only 2 things we felt that could improve were 1) offer roast potatoes of dauphonaise with the beef cheeks as a option rather than just chips and 2) keep the heating on until lunch is over ie 3pm as it started to cool somewhat at the end as the radiator went off on this cold day however we highly recommend the White Horse and will be returning much sooner

We visited for dinner during the week and it was quite popular. We were looked after from the minute we walked in the door with prompt, friendly service. We chose the Haddock and Chips which was a great choice - very fresh and tasty. We followed it with dessert – plenty to choose from. The only thing to note is that it doesn’t open until 6pm - on the dot and not a minute beforehand! Would visit again.

After a recommendation from a friend, the wife and myself went for a Sunday lunch treat. After a lovely greeting from the staff we were shown to our table.

I’ve eaten here a few times and never been disappointed. The menu is reasonably extensive and different from a typical pub menu. Certainly more interested Well cooked and presented food Reasonably priced Always seems to be busy and I would always recommend booking

A good down to earth pub. As always with pubs a bit off the beaten track, they have to work that bit harder to win customers. Nice location with an expansive outdoor area for sitting and watching children play. Good bar if a bit small. Food is a cut above usual pub food with an imaginative starter plus main for £15.75. Fish and chips good but please don't get into this pretentious habit of putting a piece of paper on the plate that goes soggy before the meal is finished. I have found myself in other places eating faux newspaper with the chips. Definitely would go again. Faces tough competition from The Plough at nearby Rede but that only serves to drive up standards which on the basis of this group visit were good. Dog friendly. Marks out of ten by the group: eight. Most common remark: Better than expected and would come again. But hard wooden chairs could do with a cushion!

Basically this is the best pub ever. Killer, and I MEAN killer knife in the back good service. Very very quite yes good quality food. So foody it was food. I WAS THAT THEY HAD A DESSERT MENU. Jeez lois griffin it was good. A friend works there, and she served me, WHAT A SURPRISE!! Can't believe the employees planned that as a special birthday treat for my seven year old albino son Hesquatch. GOD! This is good stuff guys, keep up pub work, genuinely no jokies they even had a kids menu for my son, and he is quite, dare I say, FUSSY! Nice pub, really good, 5 stars, would maybe go again if I didn't break my face on a nearby bedpost in a house in the countryside. WOW! Great pub, great great banter pub. It really is.

Had not been to this pub since the new owners took over, and was pleasantly surprised. I liked the relaxed atmosphere, staff were attentive and friendly. I couldn't fault the food for the price, will recommend to my friends and will be returning.

Staying in the area so tried this pub for dinner. Out of the way but beautiful setting and very chilled. Had a cheesy mushroom bake for starters which i can honestly say was the best food i have ever eaten. So much flavour and generous portions. Crab salad for main which again was fantastic. Fresh bread and inventive salad to accompany it. Service was welcoming and efficient and the prices very reasonable. Cant rate this place highly enough and will definitely return if we are in the area again

Been in a couple of times in the last few weeks having moved to the area very welcoming nice atmosphere, had lunch the first time a ploughmans. Excellent Lovely ham, large chunks of Stilton & cheddar, pickles, warm bread, grapes,salad. So we booked for an evening meal. Excellent once again. Very friendly food & service great. I had the fish & chips with onion rings the haddock was lovely. Starters were Prawn & crayfish, and a hot chilli beef on salad. excellent. Will be back to try more !!

Despite our last minute booking and a clearly fully booked restaurant we were assured of a table and after a short wait we were seated and served a most lovely Sunday roast. The friendly hostess and her staff were quietly efficient and we won't hesitate to book earlier next time if we find ourselves in the area.

We visited for dinner last Saturday evening whilst staying nearby for the weekend. The food was delicious and the waiting staff were friendly and attentive. There was plenty of choice on the menu and everything was beautifully cooked. When it was time to leave, we had trouble booking a cab for 5 people, so the owner and chef both offered to drive us back to our cottage! They really went of their way (literally!) to ensure we got back safely and we were incredibly grateful. We will definitely be back!

A rural pub that seems to have attracted a wide range of customers as it was heaving on the Saturday evening we went. I think booking is essential. The menu was slightly different and interesting. Great food at really good prices so excellent value for money.

This was the first time we had dined at this pub but had read some very good reviews. We were not disappointed the meal was delicious, well presented and the staff were excellent. Also, we thought it was very reasonably priced. We Will certainly go again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend The White Horse, Whepsted.

A lot of thought has gone into this pub, from the decor to the facilities for children and the warm welcome for dogs. Ate outside on a beautiful summer's day and we could have been abroad. Have visited several times now and the staff are always friendly, and the food good.

We had dinner there this week eating from the amazing value fixed price menu. The choice was good and the food very tasty indeed. The staff are very helpful and friendly and there are lots of places to sit outside on a warm evening.

This was our second time. Just fantastic, light Yorkshire pudding, chicken and beef were cooked to perfection, perfectly cooked veg and excellent service! The kids meals were large and big enough for my ravenous 10 year old. We will be back! Service was just excellent.

Went for lunch hoping for more choice other than a chick pea curry or a cheese bageutte. The food was boring grated cheese which felt like being at school. Salad was fresh but with no dressing. I get the feeling that chips come to the rescue for many people when food is concerned they certainly are not what I feel compliment every meal. Average experience, however staff very pleasant.

This is just what a country pub should be. The food was pub grub but with a bit more style and variety, and very well cooked. Lovely service and friendly atmosphere. It was good value and overall a good evening.

Lovely meal , despite selected dish stated sauté potatoes but served with mash we had a lovely meal Particularly liked the starter!

We were invited by our elderly friends for lunch here. Met at 1.00pm as arranged, had drinks at the bar and sat down at our table. We were pressed , very uncomfortably , to order promptly. We ordered starters and main courses , which then arrived as soon as the starters were cleared. It should have been a relaxing lunch rather than a military exercise and listening to staff constantly commenting on which table had finished and can we do their bill.

Dog friendly, country pub, friendly staff, serving good food. What more could you ask for on Tuesday lunchtime? First time here and we will be back! We opted for the set menu of 3 courses for £18.95. What amazing value, the food was delicious. My first time eating ostrich and it was perfectly tender and was chargrilled to perfection, the crushed new potatoes were buttery and the vegetables had a good crunch. Desserts were to die for!

My daughter had told us about this hidden gem a few times, but as usual us Bury folk don't often venture out of town! Fathers day changed this, so off we went as a 4 plus

Booked for five last minute for a Sunday roast as we were struggling to find anywhere during our weekend stay at Ickworth House. Food is superb as well as the attentive service.

The meat eaters in the party enjoyed a huge and tasty Sunday roast. I don't eat meat but saw that a "meatless roast" was on the menu. When I asked the waitress whether a nut roast (or similar) was served as part of this dish she replied no just the vegetables and gravy, no meat thus meatless roast. This left a vegetable curry as the only vegetarian option. Not impressed. Surely serving a protein based vegetarian accompaniment to the meatless roast is not that difficult! Vegetarians I suggest you go elsewhere for a varied menu choice, as I will in future.

I will keep it brief There is nowhere I have eaten Sunday lunch recently in the Bury area that comes near to this pub. The whole experience was excellent. And the prices are spot on too. Try it yourselves

Birthday meal on Saturday evening, 4 adults and 2 children, what a wonderful time we all had. Lovely atmosphere, the place was buzzing, service as always perfect, and the food which was the main reason for being there was excellent, the meat on my lamb shank just fell off the bone, so tender. We have been here several times and it is our most favourite place, it does not ever disappoint. They treat my grandchildren with complete respect and nothing is too much trouble. The owners and her staff are wonderful. Thank you White Horse!

Went for lunch today. Busy, being Easter Sunday but plenty of staff on hand. Food was very good and I would say good value for what was served. Have not been here for a while, but glad we returned.

Caught the roadside sign and followed it on a Sunday lunchtime. Sign of a good roast pork is always extra gravy and good crackling. Wonderfully served and presented.

We have visited the White Horse on several occasions and always found the service and food to be very good.My one complaint is the dogs,I know it is a dog friendly pub but not everyone likes dogs in the eating areas and I think they could resolve this by having one room dog free.

Very good Sunday lunch. Roast beef, lamb shank or pork etc. Just like home cooking. Our table of 3 tried all three. Just right , although the portions are large. Lovely vegetables. Fantastic service and very friendly. Also dog friendly.

Good food and drink, good menu selection and friendly staff make this a great place to visit. We have visited with family and friends several times and never been disappointed.

We attended an enjoyable walk around Whepstead with the local Ramblers group and decide to go to the local pub for lunch. We were greeted with the sight of the beer pumps displaying guest beers rather than the 'run of the mill' lagers and beers that seem to be found in many of today's pubs. Even though we had not booked for lunch a table was made available. We decided to go for a starter and a dessert and both were served up in good time. Judging from the quality of what we had it seemed obvious that this pub has engaged a good chef. Also very often when the 'quality is good' the 'quantity is poor' (Sometimes a small art work on a big plate!). But here the food was of good quality and good quantity. Finally the young waitress was both attentive and polite -we will return!

Our second or third visit here and have never been disappointed. Especially enjoyed the innovative starter of black pudding, bubble and squeak, poached egg with hollandaise. The menu offers plenty to choose from to suit all tastes and the service is charming and friendly.

This is the second year I've been here for my partners birthday lunch. Last year there was snow and the place was deserted, this year warm and sunny and everybody decided to visit - the place was packed!!

It is difficult to fault the White Horse Inn. The atmosphere is welcoming and the food is excellent. Service is friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We have been here several times before this was the first time this year. We were not disappointed. For a mid week lunch the Inn was busy which resulted in a very pleasant ambience. Portions are generous but we managed a starter and main washed down with a good beer and some wine. We will be back.

I’ve been here a few times and always loved it but only went for my first Sunday roast the other day. I don’t usually write reviews but had to leave one... this was the best roast I have had, probably ever! Also, I’m a vegetarian and they were so accomading with my food. Not only was the food lovely, but you get a lot for your money. The atmosphere was cosy, the staff were friendly & cheerful and the service was quick. Absolutely amazing roast... as soon as walked in staff were friendly and smiling which instantly makes you feel welcoming and relaxed... daughter ordered a spaghetti bolognese dish of children’s menu, little touch with the pot of cheese and garlic ciabatta makes even the simple things big. Had roast pork and food an presentation was just lovely... and added bonus is it’s dog friendly. Really perfect experience and will be back to test the rest of the menu. Thank you White Horse Inn

Called in here for lunch; very busy - a good sign - with a nice welcoming fire on a cold day. Great atmosphere, attentive staff and an interesting menu, plus the food was excellent - and plenty of it! We had the set price menu which was good value. Will definitely go back.

We enjoyed a really lovely lunch with friends, we were comfortably seated, the food was delicious and reasonably priced and the bonus was that they allowed our two little dogs. Highly recommended.

We have visited here on many occasions but may never return after this disaster of a night! Maybe a blip but I have to say the food was incredible, service on the other hand was something to be desired! This is what ruined the entire experience for my partner and I, a mistake was made with the order which I mentioned when paying the bill expecting an apology, what I was faced with was a rude young girl. She threw my bill over the bar (as she’d done with the food and drinks thoughout the night) and I quietly mentioned about the mistake she stated ‘forgot’ and continued chewing her gum in my face. Then when I began questioning she abruptly said I’ll just take it off. I was happy to pay I just didn’t expect it. Having said this ever other time the service has been friendly nevertheless this is not what we recieved tonight and will take our custom where it is valued more.

Brilliant food, great service, friendly people and a lovely setting. For top quality English Pub food, it simply does not get any better than this.

Visited here on the 7th December at the last minute as it was recommended to us through the hotel we were staying at, booked online very easily at approx 18:15 for a booking at 18:30, which was fantastic for a Friday evening. On arrival found ample parking and a beautiful pub/restaurant, was welcomed very warmly (even by the dogs) and was seated straight after ordering our first drink. We sat in the corner of the small restaurant area right by a real open fire which was absolutely fantastic! The food that we ordered was amazing and just what we needed, I had the Christmas dinner off the Christmas menu, I know it's early but very glad I did as it was amazing, everything cooked great and even changed a small detail on my dessert, my wife had a burger which she very much enjoyed. Me and my wife were very pleased and counted this as our anniversary meal, thank you so much to all the staff for making our time there a warm and friendly experience with great food. Anytime we are around the area again we won't hesitate to return.

Went for an evening meal with my husband on a friday evening. Lovely looking pub and nice friendly, comfortable feel but unfortunately the food didn’t live up to the expectations. We had the baked Camembert starter which was ok but nothing special, served with warm French stick but not homemade. I had the fish and chips and again although ok, was not great, batter was a bit greasy. My husband had the fillet steak which was cooked just right, the peppercorn sauce was very good but for the price, it was a small piece of meat. Overall, was an ok meal but nothing special.
