5 of us met in wetherspoons for a Saturday afternoon drink. The place was quite busy. staff number's was a problem. Waited far too long to be served. The place also needs a good cleaning especially the windows. You cannot fault the food or the pricing.but the general hygiene of the place let it down.

Me and my wife had a lovely lunch in here.The food was gorgeous and very good value for the price we paid for the meal.The staff are so helpful and riendly.Keep up the great.Plus ,well done Tim for recruiting good staff and supplying such good food for good value to your customers and other visitors to this pub/ restaurant.From Dan & Anita Long

Popped in last night spoke to lovely lady on door made me feel very welcome even though I wasn't staying and other staff smiled as walked by I will definitely be coming here for drinks

Busy Bank Holiday Monday and Eat Out to Help Out. Found a table and ordered on the app. Fifteen minutes later food and drink arrived. Ordered a coffee later, arrived in five minutes. Service and food could not be faulted. Service staff helpful and professional especially Anne-Marie very efficient. Wetherspoon don’t always get a good press but I’ve never had a problem always great. Well done.

Great staff effort through eat out to help out ... well done guys ... good value food ... good choice of drinks and deals ... tables well set out for safe dining and drinking .. clean and spacious.

Worst branch I have ever visited none of the food was right missing ingredients will not be coming back 6 dishes everyone wrong

This is by far the worst Wetherspoons pub I have ever been in, and I have been in quite a few up and down the country. The whole place feels like it could do with a heavy clean, sticky tables sticky floor, surly staff. I know Wetherspoons can't help who use there establishments but there are some totally unsavoury characters frequenting this place.I would never go in there again, which is a shame as this is my local Wetherspoons pub and I am a fan (generally) of Wetherspoons.

I went here on Saturday,ordered a burger and chips,would of thought that I would of had more than 3 tiny bits of lettuce in the roll,would of gone and complained but there was a long queue,and it would of been cold

Horrible pub, wait thirty minutes to get served and you have grubby old men talking about young women all day and two women in there talking to there selves. Staff are no better either as they rather talk about boyfriends rather than serve a drink. Think it’s like ‘one flew over the cuckoos nest’ to be honest

Popped in on Saturday with my 17 year old son for a coffee and a hot chocolate. Was told by bar staff that this was not possible as they had no clean cups!! The barman asked another member of staff when they could have clean cups and she just shrugged her shoulders and said dunno! Tim Martin you may have won Brexit but you have lost another customer due to appalling lack of service!!

Came in for breakfast kids had pancakes , my partner had eggs benedict and I had a muffin, they came out stone cold ask for the guy to take them back! When they came back my muffin was burnt and cold and the eggs benedict came back cold again! Absolutely aweful service!

Cheap drink which takes me back about 10 years. A little run down now but a decent enough place to have a booze

Typical Wetherspoon, so you will get what you can expect from Wetherspoon. Order at the bar with table number. You have to wait in the queue, sometimes staff is serving customer who came later, but that can happen in busy time. Food was good and tasty,

Very good Wetherspoons in Harlow. Very large inside with plenty of tables. Good service using the W app and prices were certainly lower than my Wetherspoons in Barnstaple.

Weatherspoons is what we look for for a good meal and a drink at very reasonable prices. You can find a good choice of food from small appitite to larger ones.The drinks menu cater for all.

Ordered a mixed grill and the fryer was down so chips were unavailable, which was fair enough you cannot help equipment breaking down, so I ordered a jacket potato in replacement, the meal came to the table and I cut the jacket potato in half and it was frozen in the centre so naturally sent the meal back. Then after a long wait the replacement meal arrived and the jacket potato was cooked nicely but the meat on the plate was burnt and chewy, so no care was taken at all and I wouldn’t recommend, the best thing is my mate had the same meal at the same time with the same problem.

Been here a few times, usually with people who have special needs.

This weatherspoons, never let us down. The food was top quality and so was the service. Well done to you all.

Just had lunch and I am so disappointed with what I have had. Ordered on the app and quinoa salad and recieved a bowl of leaves. Asked a member of staff and was informed they do not have the quinoa salad so this is all they had. It was so disappointing and no offer of a refund. So I have paid £6+ for a bowl of leaves. Absolute joke.

We arrived about 9.45pm and checked with a member of staff that food was still being served before we paid for local parking and went in. However when we tried to use the app to order we discovered that the kitchen was having problems and there was an extremely limited menu on that night. The food we did have was ok. Overall the place was clean.

Attended with friends on a Friday evening for Fish & Chips, as usual the fish was excellent with crispy batter, chips and mussy peas were also good but how can you not have any tartar sauce on Fish & Chip Friday, if it wasn't for that I would of given it 5 out of 5.

I came in here with my wife,son and sister in law on a quick visit through Harlow. I ordered 2 bottled beers that felt as if they were brought out of the crate right before being served. I then asked to exchange these very warm beers for chilled ones and they staff wasn't very receptive towards my request. They handed me ice and said that's the best we can do. I was extremely disappointed with the customer service. The place looks dirty and not very well looked after/administered. I would NOT recommend this pub to anyone.

I visit Harlow every now and then and come here for a few drinks. Can’t complain about food and drink quality all fine, but unfortunately this Spoons is a bit rough (clientele) and probably more scruffy than many others. Staff work hard are pleasant and helpful, let down by the chavs that come here.

There where 14 of us : the stuff where so manned and greet us to our tables which was good but it looked like they didn’t care when we asked was going on which all our orders and other issue which was unsuccessful and unashamed.

I've been to a couple of Wetherspoons locations over a long period of time, not many, but they've been in varied places in the UK and all of them, have provided great to brilliant food and service.

Attending on a Sunday lunch time with family, a special was available for £3.99p consisting of steak, chips and peas which was cooked perfectly and very good value.

All I can say is you get what you pay for. If you want a cheap night out with some ok food to soak up the alcohol then this what you'll get. The service can be up or down depending on who you're being served by (I won't tarnish all the staff with the same brush) the place could do with a revamp and the wheelchair ramp needs fixing.

Absolutely terrible food came out stone cold asked for it to be replaced still waiting 30 minutes later. Chased several times only to be told "they don't know what the staff are doing up in the kitchen" it's not even busy what a complete joke. The manager could not have given less of a dam if he tried.

The service was great and the food was top quality force really good price. Well done to you all for a lovely service.

Ordered chicken and ribs and vegetable lasagne. The meal came without chicken and the ribs were cold. The chicken turned up but it was over cooked and I could only eat 60%. The ribs then turned up, one rack was at temperature the other was still under temperature. I had to eat what I could of my meal in 3 stages whilst my partner ate without me. I only managed to eat 50% of the ribs. I asked for some compensation and The manager came to see me. He said that he cooked the meal, although he was in a black shirt and trousers, not kitchen wear. He said that he had probed the food, I said it was incomprehensible that one rack was at temperature and the other wasn’t? He couldn’t explain this even though he said he had cooked it. His customer service was not good. He was customer blaming and not demonstrating any understanding that our meal and evening had been ruined. He also did not understand the difference between cooked food and reheated food that needs to be cooked at temperature for a specific time. This is the second time in 4 weeks that we have had a terrible experience at Wetherspoon Harlow. We have been regular customers for many years and try to support our local pub and restaurant but after tonight we will think twice before returning to the William Aylmer.

Unfortunately this is definitely not one of the better Weatherspoons I've been to. My colleagues food arrived nearly cold and the chicken in my burger was so sinewy I had to ask for another one. That said, Kevin was by far the most attentive and friendly waiter I've ever had in a Weatherspoons. His service totally saved the experience and I saw him doing the same for other tables. He should be a manager. Thank you Kevin.

Visit this pub often. Drinks are cheap, food is ok. Has gone down hill in the last couple of years with quality of food. Oh.... And bring back Jagermeister!

Been visiting this pub for many years and have had mainly good meals lunches/evenings, but tonight (14th Feb) was the worst visit ever. Cold food, undercooked pizza(twice), veg curry disgusting. The staff on the floor were excellent (especially Pedro) however the kitchen really let everyone down tonight. We weren’t the only table with issues, it was wide spread.

Ate here with my partner on a few occasions and also with the mother in law. Food is ok we only stopped for lunch but was a nice place to stop and relax after shopping. Wasn’t very busy so served quickly. Would eat here again

I frequent Wetherspoons’ all over the country. This is single handedly the worst experience I’ve ever had. They completely blanked us at the bar when first ordering drinks. Then ordered food on the app. Without telling us, changed our orders because they had no chips. Then when asked about what else they have, was met with a terrible attitude. I was so disappointed with the service, I created a trip advisor account just to write this review. Do not go here.

Wonder steak and brilliant service - massive credits to Harry and Liam. Thank you so much for wonderful steak and making us feel waited on. We will be back.

Attended with family and had the pizza deal, the pizza was superb and would definitely have it again and recommend it to others.

It looks a lot better inside than it does from the outside. The staff were terribly pleasant and the food came out quickly - their steak & kidney puddings are delicious.

Every Tuesday my wife and I have a meal at weatherpersons Harlow as it's steak Breakfastday it's a joy to get out for a good value meal with a nice bottle of wine the staff are first class so polite and helpful, But ,the big but sometimes we have jacket potato instead of chips ,for several weeks now there has been no coleslaw and to day no English mustard not a single pot to be found even the staff could not find a pot to enjoy with our meal , this I find is very poor and letting your repetition down .

This has to be the most unattractive,badly designed ,uncomfortable Wetherspoon pub in the UK it is depressing. The Staff are excellent,selection of drinks very good, food is the usual Spoons cremated carpet slippers.But the prices are very fair.

We opted for a lunch time meal here whilst out shopping, and are really glad we did! The seating area was clean, well laid out with plenty of space between tables. The tables were clean, not sticky, and any evidence of previous customers removed (no dirty dishes/cutlery/glasses/sticky marks). We arrived at the change over from the breakfast menu, and requested a curry night menu, which was brought to us quickly. My partner placed the order at the bar, having been served straight away by a polite and pleasant male member of staff. My partner returned with our drinks, and our food arrived within 10 minutes. The food itself was perfect. My partner had the mixed grill, which has been out of stock at other Wetherspoons on a somewhat frequent basis for a number of months now. It was cooked to perfection; the meat wasn't over cooked, stringy or dry, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the pulled chicken, avacado and maple bacon salad, which was also delicious. The salad itself was crisp and fresh, the portions of chicken and bacon were substantial and not at all skimpy. We used the toilets whilst we were there, and found them clean, and clearly well maintained. We have visited a number of pubs within this chain, and this has definately been one of the best meals that we have had from Wetherspoons for a while. When we visit Harlow again we plan to have a follow up meal!

From the moment I walked into the establishment, my group felt welcome; at home and like we were part of the wheatherspoons community. A waitor in particular, Pedro, was one of the sole reasons for this. As well as this the food was great and the service was excellent. I cant reccomend this place enough for those willing to give it a try.

Attended last Saturday with friends, just as we were looking at ordering food a member of staff came around with a special offer for fish, chips and peas for £2.99p, normally £7 +, lovely bit of fish with nice crispy batter and Strongbow at only £1.99p a pint, excellent value.

A good pub with good food and a fine selection of beers at decent prices. My only problem was that it was so big that, even with quite few clients, it seemed a bit empty. Also, while friendly, the service was a bit slow.

Our waitress (Maddie) was lovely and we had a fab time! The food was very good and came very quickly after using the weatherspoons app x

Although placing our order was a bit slow , with much moving up and down the bar to find somebody to take my money . The food when it arrived was excellent . Mind you Weatherspoons Breakfasts are always worth ordering .

I'm quite a regular customer and I'm always pleased with the quality of the service and professionalism of the staff. I'd like to name Pedro and Tyler in particular; they're always professional, friendly and make me and my friends feel welcomed and offer a nice short chat.

Went into the local Wetherspoons tonight and was given great service from two you gentlemen named Pedro and Tyler, was straight to serve as soon as I got there and they were very friendly and approachable. Would definitely recommend.

Visited the local Wetherspoons in Harlow for lunch and a pint , the food and real ale selection were fantastic,Was lovely to be served at my table by a pleasant young lady by the name of Jo,it's just nice sometimes to have a little chat to the staff, well done ! Will come back soon.

Slowly but surely this branch of Wetherspoon is improving each time I visit. The atmosphere, bearing in mind it is a family pub and Restuarant, has improved greatly. I am now happy to bring my family knowing the management and staff have made significant changes to ensure we have a relaxing time.

It has been a long time since my last visit. But thought I would give it another try, as friends told me they had got a new manageress in . WHAT A SUPRISE . So better than before. Very busy but all available tables clean and ready for customers to select their meals with all menus. Service was superb, food excellent, staff was very smart and friendly. Manageress even even came over to us and introduced herself. How lovely such a BIG DIFFERENCE WELL DONE AMY AND ALL YOUR STAFF. I WILL BE BACK . Great value for money, food excellent and good selection of wine and beer. Front of bar and display at rear of bar very impressive. FIRST CLASS MANAGERESS all staff very efficient and polite throughout our visit.

Worst Manager in the area.. Totally unprofessional and rude... Been at other Wetherspoons locally. Was the same.. Amy is her name... And she has spoilt the pubs she has been in.. Needs training or sacking......

Hadn't been here for about 2 or 3 years.

Came in for a Mother's Day breakfast this morning with my husband and 2 kids. (Ages 7 and 3)We had a very lovely server named Maddie who dealt with my very fussy order and then chatted and listened to my little girl as she chatted and toddled around. We very much appreciated the time she took to include or little girl in the ordering process and kept her very entertained as I made my teas.

Been going to Wetherspoons Harlow for a few years now and I must say I’m impressed with the recent changes since the new management came in. Service sharper, tables tided quicker and change of attitude to offer good service. Keep up the good work.

Myself and my family went into the William aylmer for dinner 7th march at 7pm. We were served at the bar by the duty manger with a warm smile. She was very professional and even spoke to my children in a friendly and welcoming manner! Our food was delivered to our table promptly and to a good quality standard. All of the staff went the extra mile to ensure that we had everything we needed. Once our meal was finished our plates were taken away promptly which doesn't always happen. As we were leaving we saw "Becky" the duty manager who thanked us for coming and took some time to listen and talk to my daughter! Great manager great service we will be returning!!

Me and some mates on a stag do thought we would try Harlow for a nite out! Harlow it's self was pretty disappointing!! But the only saving grace was the wetherspoons all the staff are friendly and know how to take and give banter even the doorman charlie is a good bloke fair and fun the mangers don't take them selfs too seriously and the place was clean and tidy! They had a great selections of beers and spirits which often our local spoons runs out all the time! The mangers Amy and Becky are definitely a asset to the company well played girls we will be back from the sambucca lads!

No control over staff, people trying to look important doing nothing, tables full of dirty glasses, tabes never wiped, this is over a week just not one day, today 7th March at 16 06 bottles and glasses been noisily disposed off, looks like a supervisor is looking on, a manager needs to sort it out,

Visited Wetherspoons today, had amazing service as usual- all the staff are friendly but nothing beats the conversations I have with Curtis and Pedro, especially when they try to convince me about being father and son. Will 100% be attending this pub again. 😃👍🏻

Good range of beer which were well kept. I ate Aberdeen Angus steak with onion rings. Could not fault it at all, really very good. Pudding, fudge cake was also excellent great staff.

Me and my partner came in for breakfast Sunday morning. We had a traditional and a large breakfast. The food was ok... nothing majorly special but what stood out was the service given by a young waitress maddie. She served us at the till when we order and then also brought us our food. She conducted herself professionally and yet was so warm and friendly. Once placing down our food she asked if there was anything else we needed and when my partner asked where the salt was she smiled and brought it too us rather than directing us to the self service table. One of the best experiences I've had in any weatherspoons. The young lady is truly a credit to this establishment.

I have been coming here for a while on various weekend days with special needs young adults.

Been here before and service is alway good,but lately it’s going down hill,ie lunch time only 1 bartender,with another with 1 washing glasses with no rush to serve.

The food here is top quality and the service is great. Families do not get ripped off financially and you get a lot of food for your money including deserts and drinks. Keep up the great work.

This was the worst meal I’ve ever had . Ordered via the new app waited 30 for drinks to come . Had to send back a cold coffee !!! Then the food frozen cheap crap the lamb shank was In disgusting cold had to send it back came back again cold rubber with powered mash potatoes. Tim Martin would not put his name to this crap !!!

Just had breakfast today Thursday 17/08 in this Wetherspoons and the service was bad only one person serving so had to wait a long time to be served and when the breakfast did arrived it was cold and the butter for the toast was like running oil.

In all the years I have been to Harlow, we have never been here. It was much larger than we thought & with the windows pulled open, the sun shining & the flower baskets, it was really nice.

So being a regular patron from the pubs first opening date I think it's fair to say I'm qualified to offer this review. Obviously you will only be interested in the pubs present day performance, the pub certainly has had a chequered past in this respect. The current landlord is unfortunately gauged against the previous landlord who undoubtly is the yardstick on how to run a pub. Criticism that's levelled at the latest landlord can at times be unfortunate. Bar staff atm is unrivalled for service and manners, again hasn't always been the case , this is a very cosmopolitan pub, on the whole very friendly and probably the easiest pub to visit solo and be welcomed . Complaints , of which will always be inevitable in this type of establishment, are dealt with promptly and to the complete satisfaction of the customer. So far so good, complaints about lack of bar staff is also very prevalent. Everything else that you expect from the great British establishment that is weatherspoons is on offer, cheap booze , cheap grub , after all isn't that all we ask.

Visited Wetherspoon for the first time. We were in a bit of a hurry so wanted a quick meal. I'm vegetarian so ordered quinoa salad. The person taking the order didn't know that was on the menu, then said it's sold out. So maybe they had a rush on with everyone ordering quinoa Salad. Anyway ordered vegetarian pasta dish. Quite bland needed seasoning. The toilets were upstairs although clean enough. Not sure if I would revisit

Llevé a mi hija aquí una comida de cumpleaños y fue un desastre. Pedimos un entrante de partícipe y fue con la comida principal. La comida en el plato frío y partícipe fue incinerado. Las comidas principales fueron también frío. He mencionado ambas cosas al camarero y él simplemente gruñó algo y a la izquierda. La mayoría de las mesas estaban sucios y llenos de vasos vacíos, y que deberían hacer algo con las moscas. El lugar está completamente personal. Tienes que esperar años para ser servido. Esperé tanto para ser servidos, casi salimos. Me hubiese gustado.

Esperar retrasado la comida en una noche muy tranquila, cuando finalmente llegó la comida estaba fría, envió y cuando la devolvieron de nuevo los artículos que faltan. Me quejé y el gerente nos dio un reembolso completo un gran servicio al cliente gracias a Georgia.

The William Aylmer Wetherspoons in Harlow has got to be the worst wetherspoons ever. I have been going into this wetherspoons for a long time on a Saturday for lunch before shopping and frequently they have managed to mess up my order and the service of the staff is dreadful. I went in there today with my son for lunch, I placed my order as usual, the young man behind the bar was new and I had to repeat myself a couple of times to make sure he got it right. The order turned up and the order was wrong yet again, my sons bread was missing and instead of a cheese and tomatoe toastie they gave me a Panini which I don't like. I sent the Panini back with instructions that it was a toastie that I wanted, plus asked for the missing bread to go with my sons lunch. 15 minutes went pass and no food arrived including my sons missing bread. I asked a young man serving where my lunch was and he very stroppily told me it was up to him to find out it was in the hands of the kitchen staff. I told him it was his job to find out where our food was as he worked there, he walked off and continued to serve other customers. Eventually after waiting another 10 minutes I lost my cool and beckoned another member of staff over, I demanded to know where my lunch was. He went off and after 5 minutes came back and told me I wouldn't be getting it because I had sent my food back and the chef was too busy to rectify the matter and that they would be giving me a refund. I really lost it with him at this point and told him to get me the mangeress, then said that I wanted my lunch served to me and I wanted a refund. 2 minutes later my food turned up (only luke warm but edible) then couple of minutes the very young mangeress turned up put the refund on my table mumbled sorry and rushed off. The staff here really want to trained in how to treat customers. I would not recommend this wetherspoons to any one, give it a wide berth. I certainly wont be going back to it again soon.

The William aylmer wetherspoons in harlow I go to every Saturday with my son for lunch. It's not the best wetherspoons, the bar is large and when it'a busy they never seem to have enough staff on to serve. They have often got my order wrong so it has to be returned to be redone. Once it was packed with customers and they only had one lad serving which was appalling. He took so long to seeve that by the time people got their food it was nearly cold.

Yet again the william aylmer manages to excel itself on its lack of bar staff, 13.30 hours on a bank holiday Monday there are about 12 people waiting at the bar to be served most wanting to order food and there is only one person serving behind the bar, disgusting service stay well clear of this place.

I love this place because they offer gread food (in pretty big portions) for quite cheap prices. I almost always get a combo (main dish + large drink) for maybe 7£ and £2 for big and delicious dessert. Also, excellent beer selection. The atmosphere is great, the staff very kind and fast, and everytijme we walk away full and happy.

It's exactly what you'd expect from a Wetherspoons. However it's a tired looking pub now and could use updating.

I've been drinking here for some years and recently this pub has gone massively downhill.They rarely have more than two real ales on the go and don't appear to care.The new landlady actually said to one of the locals 'if you don't like it there are plenty of other pubs". Says it all really.

Pub Manager, Helen, (not sure if she's new) is an asset to Wetherspoons Harlow, the William Aylmer. We watched her while we were eating, checking everyone was happy with their meals, helping the young team members and generally doing a brilliant job all round.No one could complain about Wetherspoons; the value for money is amazing! The food is good (brilliant for the price) and you don't get palmed off with 'house' spirits. The toilets are fab and always spotlessly clean and staff are always helpful.

Cheap beer ,reasonable food .good service. Close to shops. slope for wheelchairs, lift to raised floor and disabled toi!et

Seven of us had a very good experience in the Panic room, we were all hungry and in need of a alcoholic drink. Went to the William Aylmer we all had a very nice meal, which was very good value for money. The staff were friendly, service was good. Would definitely go there again, when we go for our girls fun day out.

Went for lunch at the William aylmer in Harlow. Saw that they had the "order and pay" app. Decided to try it and see what it was like, placed our order for starter,food and drinks at 13:16, app says not to worry as drinks and food will be brought to our table. At 13:35 our main meals arrived,we asked the server where the starter was,he said that it would be along shortly !! A few minutes later he brought our drinks and then after that, our starter !! We asked him what had gone wrong and he shrugged and said he was new and his first shift. He was the only server in the restaurant and he was running round like the proverbial fly but service like that is unacceptable. I did not see anything on the app that asked if we wanted things separately or as starters, maybe it would've been a nice addition to the site,to ask if a set order of service is required( drinks first , then starter and then main meal) We have been to this restaurant quite a few times, even know the staff by name, but this time I feel the need to put my thoughts into writing.On a more delicate note, I think the server would benefit from some quality time with a shower,soap and some deodorant, not just us that mentioned this today. My main meal went cold, my wife's salad went warm, all whilst we ate our starter. I have not given a 1 star rating,as I know this is purely a glitch ,as they sort out the app and how it works. We Will return but next time I'll order at the bar,

Went for Steak Night on Tuesday, no waiting time, steak cooked as requested and great value, staff friendly, really good evening had by me and my friends

As usual it is a nightmare getting served at the bar in this establishment due to only one person on duty as usual. On this occasion 13.30pm at least 10 people waiting to order food or drinks, the place is a joke.
