Weng Kee Chinese Takeaway in North East Lincolnshire

The food was average to say the least, although delivery was quite quick. I had left a tip when ordering online and had a quick chat with the driver, someone known to me. I told them I'd left a £2.50 tip and they told me that any tips paid online are not passed to the driver. They also told me out of the £2.50 delivery charge I paid the company keep 50p from every delivery. So out of the £5.00 I thought I had paid the driver, the driver actually only received £2.00. The company kept £3 for themselves that is on top of the £1.50 service charge I paid and 50p charge for who knows what. The food isn't cheap to start with and not worth the increased price charge. Will definitely not be ordering from them again. Their tactics are dishonest. I will find another takeaway to use and collect!

Top quality, very tasty and excellent service. You can tell it's going to be great because if you go in the phone never stops ringing and there is a constant stream of customers coming through the door. One of the best chinese takeaways in Grimsby for sure.

The speciality rice dishes are large and good value for money. The King Prawn Chow Mein is massive and full of prawns definate value for money. Very quick service. My dad has used them for years and has found no one in the village or locally can beat the dish for size and quality

Just ordered from here and I jist want to say how much we enjoyed it was absolutely beautiful.. piping hit and well worth the money.. I've always ordered from here when I fancy a Chinese which is not very often and I am never disappointed.. keep up the good work..

Highly recommend this place, well cooked, good quality food. I ordered special green pepper and black bean sauce, and chips rice and curry. Very tasty, would order again. Totally agree with the review that said 'could be the best Chinese I've had'!

The best Chinese takeaway I've found. Food is always large portions and good value. The staff always friendly, and remembered me after being away for two years!

Had a take-a-way delivered on recommendation from a freind, we had Sweet And Sour chicken Hong Kong style, House special noodles, bean sprouts and pancake roll and boiled rice. They were excellent, the portions were enormous. Well worth it.

Ordered beef chow mein and a portion of chips was absolutely beautiful best chinese I've ever had a was plenty to feed 2 of us amazing value and fantastic food will definitely order from here again

While visiting we ordered a take away to the caravan various meals all really tasty and lots of meat in them .free prawn crackers and the delivery driver was super friendly too .

We ordered a take away from the weng kee tonight, my god it was awful, They used to be the best in town pricey with an authentic menu but the best now its under new managment its still as pricey but horrible the where do i start the food was dry and bland, the house special fried rice was dry and just barely cooked it tasted like and had the texture of uncle bens microwave rice the chow mein was missing bean sprouts and was also very dry and unbelievably salty. The sweet and sour chicken balls was mush inside the batter i cannot stress the need to avoid this take away at all costs, any reviews online that recommend the weng kee are based on how it used to be not the complete train wreck that it is now

ordered food 20.00hrs arrived 20.15hrs friday 5th January 2018, food was warm and bland, ended up in agony between bed and loo for 36 hours. still ill at time of writing this review. I am fair and will praise a place if it is good ,however i will condemn a place if it is warranted. Thank you Weng Kee for the agonising ruination of a whole weekend...............

Worst Chinese I have tasted burnt chicken curry awful noodles burnt felt like left overs .even the dog turned his nose up

Chips were good and hot but chowmain wasn't great and my partner didn't even want his fu young after a few spoons left a lot of it, spring rolls was nice

Food tastes very nice however we didn't enjoy the sweet and sour sauce. It was very acidic and left a strong alcoholic taste for quite some time after. A few pieces of chicken were a little coloured however we put it down to being off the bone. Thoroughly enjoyed the presentation of the sides we ordered and they were beautifully garnished.

Tasted lovely and fresh and not all greasy like some Chinese takeaways. Very nice 😋

Spilt order, sent it back, but same order came back in clean containers and cold, chips, re heated and awful, not impressed

The food was okay, but was below standard has normally is, the delivery was very fast but sometimes think they cook so fast it damages the taste of food. The food always taste's better when you go in for it.

Order arrived and food was nice and well prepared. However was missing items so rang up and was told they had to wait on driver to finish the rounds and get back before they can see if we are missing a dish. By time the rest came we had all either finished or was going cold. Disappointed

Unfortunately the black bean sauce was a thin and watery and the veg in chow mein was undercooked whilst the chicken was overcooked. Wont be ordering again. Apologies.

The food came very quick, delicious food was given a one hour wait time arrived within 25 mins excellent delivery time. The only downside was one of the curry sauce cartons had a big crack in the lid didn't bother but a child could have burned themselves. But Weng kees is still one of the best chinese takeaways in town. Thanks again for a great meal.

Best Chinese we've had in a long time! we normally use a different takeaway in town but have a new favourite now :-)

They forgot the chips had had to come back with them, pretty poor when there were only four items to bring anyway, not a huge order

An excellent meal, with our allergy requirements easily met. Plenty of food, all very nice, and so easy to order. Will probably be our regular Chinese takeaway now!

Food was hot and was tasty but I could taste the oil that it was cooked in and it smelt quite strong

We ordered a takeaway to be delivered to the haven caravan site, it came fairly quickly, was very average, beef fried rice was a bit stodgy and beef tasted like it was boiled, bbq spare ribs were OK but the sauce was oily and watery with little taste, crispy duck pancakes were very nice, wouldn't recommend or order again very expensive for little taste

Delivery was so fast ! The sauces in the meals were a little watery and could have been abit ore flavourful, but all in all good meal :) thanks x

Amazing turned up 10 mins after order

Wonton soup tasted foul. The chili squid was soggy, rubbery, and totally over cooked. My chicken balls were not terrible, but hardly had any meat in them. Total disappointment, especially seeing how many decent reviews there have been.

The only complaint I have i never received my prawn crackers

Always order from weng kee, great Chinese food. Food is delicious and they have some great offers on and have a great choice of food. Delivered on time too. I would recommend weng kee to others.

I am sure this place is psychic, delivered within 15 minutes of ordering, a full 35 mins before the estimated time for delivery. Food piping hot and loads of it as usual. Never had a bad meal from this take away :-)

quite bland the chicken balls was thick and doughy and the chicken curry had what looked like left over bits of soggy chicken in with a very bland sauce. Everything tasted of oil. Sorry but will not buy from here again.

Flavour of the food was pretty good, although the crispythings were not crispy. Also, we ordered for delivery at 7pm and it arrived at 7:22pm which was disappointing, we ordered at 5:30pm so they had plenty of warning.

The food arrived within 15 mins which made me a little suspicious. The food was not of poor quality it was just lacking in taste there were no chillies in the chilli beef and no flavour in anything else. It wasn't bad just bland sorry we won't be using this place again.

Meal was lovely but arrived nearly an hour late, understand being Christmas eve was busy but would of been nice to of had a phone call to let us know.

As always the food was excellent and the delivery was quicker than expected and the driver was friendly. The best food and service in the area.

Meats were average, all the sauces were extremely weak, could have swapped them for each other between dishes and I probably wouldn't have noticed, chips were great though.
