Wellington Hotel in Aberdeen City

Stopped in here for dinner last night with my wife . Service was really good from precious our waitress . I Was envious of all the good looking plates of food coming out at least until my 32oz tomahawk which was cooked to perfection came out . Wife loved her halloumi wrap too . We will be back

Nice staff and a great location if you have your own transportation. Even if you just go here for the food it is totally worth it, the food is absolutely amazing

Rocked up on 27th to make use of the new beer garden. We took hot water bottles with us to keep cozy (it is scotland after all!) got food, drinks and a catch up with the besties. Our favourite beer garden table has been chosen and cant wait for the sun to come back and make good use of it! So glad your open again Michael!

Have stayed here many tines whilst I'm work nightshift.. Staff are lovely & extremely accommodating - Looking after a tired nightshift keyworker. Brilliant. Definitely recommend the food too.. Great value for money - fan sizes and always a good offer on.

Was in the Wellington today for breakfast, I have a couple of fussy children and the waiter Colin, was very patient and accommodating. Food was lovely as always! Well done Colin! X

Had lunch with family of 5 from 4 year old to 94 year old, we all came away delighted, food was a change from normal pub lunch menus, sandwiches especially nice and different. Helen our server was very attentive and chatted with our group warmly. Enjoyed it so much I've booked for Sunday lunch too. Well done staff.

We live within walking distance of the Wellington but had given up on it a couple of years back due to a bad experience. Heard that since reopening after lockdown they had upped their game so decided to give it another go. Not disappointed. They offer an extensive menu with loads of choice & a festive menu in addition. My husband had the turkey from that & I had the dipping steak. Both were decent quality & service provided was attentive. Reasonably priced too. Will be back.

Esta fue nuestra primera comida desde marzo, me alegro de haber elegido The Welly. El personal era amable, atento y nos sentimos instantáneamente a gusto. Ambos tuvimos el bistec que estaba perfectamente preparado, tan delicioso. Tomamos un café a continuación y queríamos algo dulce, pero no pudimos comer un pudín. Hacen una bebida caliente y un mini capricho que era del tamaño perfecto para un capricho dulce con nuestro café con leche. Recomiendo encarecidamente este lugar! Nos fuimos felices y llenos

Iv been here a good few times now, the staff are very friendly and welcoming.The food and prices are decent. Iv always enjoyed my meal with no complaints. Nice and relaxed atmosphere and dog friendly.

Myself and two friends had the "Steak & Eggs", Breakfast which was very tasty with coffees and toast. Our waitress was fantastic great service with a smile and is very proud of her company and team members

My partner and daughter and I went into the wellington tonight We all ordered steaks my daughter and I had dipping steaks medium rare My partner had a 12oz rump steak medium .We all agreed it was the best steaks we had had cooked to perfection I asked what the chefs name was that cooked our meal it was Grant all I can say isHe is an asset to your company .We will be back again (hope grant is on ) Desserts were lovely too

Food was really good. Steaks cooked perfectly. Daughters first choice dessert wasn’t available but she loved her second choice, brownie with ice cream. Staff were great, pace was spotless. Would visit again if we were in the area

I’ve been staying in a nearby hotel for the past week and last night decided to try a different restaurant than the one at the hotel. And boy was I happy I did so. The food here is tasty and the service provided by Daniel and his team is incredible. After my visit last night I looked online and saw they did breakfast until 12 so I arrived at around 10 and had had my food and coffee all by 10:20. Fantastic speed of service, again from Daniel, who although was here until late last night, welcomed me with a bright smile. Next time I’m in Aberdeen, I will definitely be coming back here!

Have just spent weekend here staff excellent. manager is the most hard working person I have ever met. Great leader asset to any company. Will stay here again

Beautifuly dressed table laid with small sweet for children, crackers and lights. Staff are friendly and most helpful going out to do their absolute best to please. I have a daughter who is Ceoliac and it's never an issue at the Wellington. Food was very good. Great little disco which the young ones enjoyed. Thank you to all the staff for making our Hogmanay special.

Went here with my mum who is a bit fussy. Food is straightforward but good. I had a steak sandwich which was good and reasonably priced. I'd go back. PS, my fussy mum enjoyed her meal too and specifically "liked the chips" - this is high praise from a lady with impossible standards.

This is a comfortable roadside hotel. A few minutes from city centre by car or a bus stop directly outside to take you there. Great parking. And on site restraunt & bar.

Me alojé en el hotel el 29/10/19. El recepcionista fue muy educado cuando me preguntó si estaba preparando un desayuno cuando me dieron el desayuno. Fue una comida estupenda y me alegró mucho recibirme. experiencia de desayuno y un personal tan amable que me quedaría al 100% y comería aquí de nuevo

The food was excellent. The service the same and the price was reasonable. What more can you expect.

We ordered the fish and paid the extra £1 to go large and could not believe how big the portions are. The fish was very nice and would recommend it. Also Monday to Friday there is 2 meals for £10.99 which is excellent value.

4 friends all hungover and looking for a nice breakfast to make us feel human again, unfortunately this was sub par. All four of us ordered the same, except two of us ordered extra hash browns for £1 ( this consisted of 1 potato fritter size hash brown each)

Went today for breakfast, everything was cooked beautifully. Great service by Lauren :) definitely will be back.

Went in to order a meal with my husband whilst my daughter was football training and we were told there was a half hr wait for food which we were fine about but an hour later there is still no sign. I go and ask about our order and the young lad said he would go ask and the girl serving us didnt even have the decency to come over to see us and when the lad asked her the girls face looked like it hadnt even been ordered. There was tables dirty since we arrived and the young girl was walking about chewing gum.. bad manners and service. We walked out and hubbi said cant wait no longer and she said "oh alright"..

I 've booked online 2 rooms and it was too easy. The quality price excelente. Just £35 / night. The hotel is not in the city but with our car it was 5minutes. Near you have a retail park and IKEA. Very good .

We stopped in by today after shopping with my kids. We got a table in the kids corner which my daughter loved as got to play. We got a starter and main course each, fine food, my 7 month old son was with me too which the made a fuss over. My daughter got her lunch for £1 which was a bonus. Made such a difference having lovely service and staff talking to your children. Will defo be back. Thanks again!

Table sticky with spilt drink to start with then we order and Nachos are crispy pastry rubbish not nachos and fajitas are mini fajitas won’t be back total rubbish then they think there doing you a favour for not charging for a meal you put back to the circus in the kitchen

From toilets to tables and the glasses are disgusting and dirty. There is no management whatsoever no cleaners really think after 4 managers they have to look at area managerhes clueless.hit rock bottom

First, I used to have a rule when I was traveling for business! I don’t sleep at restaurants so I don’t eat at hotels. This trip has been the exception to that rule until tonight. We decided to bypass our hotel restaurant because I thought the hostess had an attitude. First mistake on my part. Went to the Wellington because it was close and had decent reviews on trip advisor, second mistake, it is also a hotel. Not A very charming place inside, reminded me of a Big Boy style of place In The states. Lots of kids toys on the floor In The corner. Our table was a little sticky and it should have been my sign to try another place, third mistake on my part. The hostess, also our server, seemed pleasant but a little befuddled. Either over worked or just not that good. I ordered a Stella and bottled water and she brought back a single small bottle of water for one. I ordered the baked Camembert and it was ok. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad and the wife ordered the chicken breast with roasted veggies and a side salad. My Caesar was ok but little resembled Caesar dressing. Not sure what the dressing was. The chicken came with the side salad with no dressing and no veggies. The waitress was nowhere to be found. A nice Scottish gentleman dining next to our table apologized for our service and said this is not normal in the UK. The manager brought the dressing and our check and did take off 10% and seemed like a nice chap but a little overwhelmed. Not a great dinner. Sticking to my rule next time! It’s generally a good rule.

Won a voucher in charity raffle, was delighted as had never been to the Wellington. Lauren was polite on arrival, didn’t have to wait long for drinks or between courses. Great portion sizes for puddings too! Lauren had good banter and checked out meals were ok.

We was hunting for somewhere to eat near our hotel and decided on this place, the staff were attentive but not too much, they were polite and smiley and seated us quickly, I had a steak sandwich with skin on fries and onion rings which was well good and Ma hubby had a mixed grill with sausages,bacon,chicken,gammon,chips,steak,fried egg and it came quickly and was good and hot when it did, it was good value for money and there was a wee area for the kids to play in and they also had colouring bits and crayons too

We stay local to the Wellington and every time we go the food is spot on. Steak night on a Friday is great value for money and the service is always great. Dylan is normally our server and nothing is ever a hassle. The bar staff are great too.

Booked a table at the Wellington hotel for an evening meal after a long drive and exploring all day. We received an excellent warm welcome from Cameron, who by the way recommended a drive for us to go on which did not disappoint, lovely chatty friendly guy. Me and my partner both ordered steak & for a chain pub we weren’t expecting much but we were wrong, the food was beautiful, cooked perfectly and piping hot when served. We were taken care of by Wiktoria, a lovely girl whose service was spot on. Will definitely be returning

Just had a lovely lunch here. The food was perfect and very quickly served. My husbands fish and chips was the best he's ever had. The batter was very crispy...Lauren that served us was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend eating here.👍

First time at the Wellington, had a family meal, very nice atmosphere and our server Lauren was amazing, very attentive and made sure we went away happy. Standard pub food but that's what we wanted, sometimes you just need a simple selection. Hubby had the rump steak, kids had chicken burger, I had the beef burger, all fine and decent value. Will visit again.

Popped in for a wee bite to eat and a drink and immediately we were greeted with a warm welcome and a smile. Our waitress Lauren was very kind and attentive. The food was incredible especially for the price!! Would definitely recommend and revisit!

This is a Greene King restaurant, with a standard pub grub menu. However, everything we ordered had been prepared perfectly and our server, Lauren, provided us with great service. Definitely worth a second visit!

Hemos estado en un montón de buena comida y siempre salimos felices. El mánager Michael es una joya, siempre hace buenas bromas y los perros siempre son bienvenidos. No puedo decir una mala palabra sobre el lugar. Hace unos meses tuvimos una noche de concursos (y me complace ver que se acerca otra) y la dama con el micrófono fue fantásticamente entretenida y nada tímida.

Solo quería decir unas gracias por otra rajazo que tuvimos en el restaurante. Mi hijo, que es del tamaño de un autobús y come, es como nunca había visto comida antes, le encantó y se fue completamente.

He estado yendo y viniendo a Wellington durante los últimos años. He tenido algunos problemas en el pasado, pero en el último año ha sido golpeado tras golpe. In the Wellington Hotel a few days ago. We were greeted by a chirpy tall man with glasses, he was very attentive and took our drinks order straight away and then someone else took our order. The food was great and the service was fantastic. We will deffiently be back with the rest of the family and maybe the dog!

Visited here with a few friends for a munch. Brilliant pub grub, would recommend the sirloin and the brownie freakshake! Staff were amazing, checked in on us (but not too much - nothing worse). Good atmosphere, will be back!

Myself and my partner came to the restaurant on Wednesday for a spot of lunch and was quickly met with a young girl with brown hair and glasses who was extremely attentive and friendly. She suggested my partner to try the steak pie and was not left disappointed. Our food came quickly even though the restaurant was very busy. Our servers (young girl with blonde hair) came to our table a couple times to make sure everything was okay and to check if we needed anything else and made us feel very welcome and at ease the entire time, they were both very good at there jobs!! We had came her a few years before and it wasn’t great but after being there for lunch and having such amazing service we have recommended all our family and friends to come along!

It's been a while since we visited, but tonight was much improved. Food was much better, and the service was exceptional - Cameron was our server, a breath of fresh air. I have renewed confidence in this place and will go again soon.

We arrived late for our booking but couldn't have received a warmer welcome. And the food was beautiful. We had pate and squid to start, both were lovely. Followed by rump steak and a mixed grill. Arrived at 12.30 on a Sunday with a colleague for a Sunday roast however after ordering we were informed that there was no Yorkshire Pudds, which was disappointing we were offered slices toast as an alternative, the roast beef had grill line marks on the meat, however I must say the meat was tasty and the side of cauliflower cheese was really nice,

Whilst visiting Aberdeen decided to call in for a meal. Best stop ever. The meals were really good, tasty and plates were full. I had fish and chips and my partner had Rib Eye steak. All fresh and cooked to how specified. Staff were so helpful and polite. It's clean and tidy inside and outside.

I not one to write a review but I just have to say credit where’s credit due. This was the first night of the festive menu. OMG value for money was fantastic. Food was amazing and attention to detail was to perfection. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Can’t wait for my next visit.

Well this the 4th/5th time I have stayed here.

Myself and my partner came in for a evening meal the service was promp to start with but after starters the service was poor. We were sat for a while stuck away in a corner with no atmosphere on a saturday night and no service for about 15 minuets and none of the staff were rushed off their feet as there was only 2 or 3 tables in. the food on the other hand wasnt the best chips were rock solid amd veg was cold also the creamy whisky sauce wasnt creamy it was black and had lumps of skin through it. Not very good for rep guys sorry

Dont go by sat nav entrance is off A90. Plenty parking and a nice warm welcome. Table service was prompt and efficient.Drinks order taken quickly and allowed us to chat for a while before taking order. Plentiful choice on menu and starters were excellent. I had seaboard mixed grill which was good, fish a little overcooked but good. Overall I would recommend.

I had an enjoyable evening and the room was fine and the bed comfortable. They have an extensive food and drinks menu and all the food looked tempting so we decided to have something to eat also. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere and really cosy. Dogs were also allowed in which was nice to see.

Went here for breakfast on Monday morning! Mmmmmmm I enjoyed the lovely avacado smash and my mum and sister thoroughly enjoyed the eggs benedict! Ww wanted a slight change....(added mushrooms) they catered for this with no hassle at all! AND the lattes were a huge compliment for our breakfast too! Very friendly and informative staff. Definitely go back!

Me and family went here one evening for our dinner and won't be going back. My wife ordered Halloumi fajitas and instead was served chicken, luckily she isn't a vegiterian otherwise that would of been a problem. I had steak and ribs which was pretty bland. The kids meals were nothing to write home about either. The service was lacking as our server was seemed to be rushing about and getting things wrong like my wife's food amongst other things. And to top it all they tried to charge me for something we didn't order, which was quickly sorted.

Helado ordenado de vegen para pudín en No puedo comer lácteos. Se sirvió el helado, se comprobó dos veces y luego se comió. Cuando estaba en el camino a casa comencé a sentirme mal, con los síntomas de comer lácteos.

We stay close by and go through phases of trying the Wellington restaurant to see if it has improved ... sadly not ... anither disappointing experience . We booked a table for 7pm . Our drinks arrived fairly quickly but the 2 young servers were just hopeless at keeping track of the half dozen or so tables . It took an hour to get our food. The meals themselves were ok. Afterwards we asked for the menu for deserts ... the menus took another 10 mins to arrive & we were starting to get a bit annoyed . Eventually , the young lad came back over but by now it was after 8:30 so we declined the offer as the thought of another lengthy wait didn’t appeal. A really disappointing experience .

I last went in May and it had improved since the November. This time better. I still had the vegetable fajitas which were again nice but the new menu now includes roasted halloumi which added to the flavour. Still only 4 tortillas but you can ask for more.My friend had the Caesar salad which she enjoyed. The table was nice and clean-not sticky like last time. The young waiter was very nice and attentive. The place was a bit busier than last couple of times-maybe because food improving. The new menu bit better for us vegetarians. I notice there is now a Veg Tandoori dish which I will try next time. The main meal with big glass of fresh orange and a mocha coffee cost £15 which is well worth it.

Firstly I would like to mention Ryan, not the manager or even assitant apparently but you wouldnt know that from meeting him, knowledgeable, welcoming, efficient and made all of our group feel at ease. The general manager was approachable and a nice guy, he was quick to respond to any queires and even sorted out laundry for us. I put a complaint in about the cleanliness of my room, which overall was reasonable but after 6 days of not changing my coffee mug with a ring around the rim, no bath mat to get out the shower onto, no replacement bedding for 7 days and the same towels for a week I had to complain, again Ryan bore the brunt of this and low an behold sorted.New clean mug replaced (although the spoon and temporary mug were still left unwashed and changed!) bed made properly but still no bath mat? The food here was good and presented well, a credit to the kitchen staff themselves. I would suggest to others that this is worth a visit but the management structure and attention to detail in the daily management and running of the hotel side leaves a little to be desired.
