We have been visiting Wee Lochan for years. We love it. Today it was EVEN better. My mushroom soup memorable; our hake always delicious; fig posset dessert to fight over - (we were supposed to be sharing!) The staff are lovely too and they also have art on the walls.

This is a lovely place - they take some simple ideas and add their own style to create some absolutely lovely food. The staff are very friendly and professional. No complaints whatsoever

Went for set menu lunch with friend. Place very busy despite being mid week and in February. Both enjoyed mains of cod and cauliflower and shallot tartlet - pastry light and crisp. Service was a bit slow but became even slower when waiting for dessert - appary some mix up and another table got ours. It was however worth the wait - very light orange and fog steamed pudding with toffee sauce and white chocolate ice cream. To be fair the waitress apologised for wait and didn’t charge us for desserts. Would return.

Two Fat Ladies at the Buttery

21/05/2019: We came here with an “Itison” coupon. We have used these and other vouchers at other restaurants and been a little bit disappointed at the restricted menus on offer. There were no such feelings of that sort of limitation here. We were celebrated as guests of this wonderful restaurant.
26/05/2019: We met friends here for dinner on Saturday evening. We were seated in a booth which felt a little bit claustrophobic but gave us some privacy. The restaurant was busy but not too noisy and thankfully they keep the background music low. Service was attentive and efficient and we enjoyed dinner. I found the venison starter a little lacking in flavour but the duck was perfectly cooked and was excellent. My dessert was ok but I couldn’t taste the Cointreau jelly because the chocolate on the plate was so strong. As others have said, this is a Glasgow institution and a lovely place to spend an evening. The food is very good but not as special as it was pre Two Fat Ladies taking over.
