Fish and chips was one of the best we have ever had

Amazing fresh and light batter on quality fish. Great chips too. Very clean establishment and the staff were also very nice.

This has always been our go to place for fish and chips. Last week we ordered a pick up meal. When we got home, the order was short by 2 curry sauces and a portion of chips. No big deal so I telephoned and the staff were very apologetic and offered a gratis peas and 2 curry sauces at a later date. I turned up last evening and when i mentioned the previous mistake, they accused me of making a false claim. Completely out of the blue, they offered to show me a CCTV film of me allegedly taking the said orders in question. This was fundamentaly and completely untrue. The staff became loud and offensive and very unprofessional so I took our meal and left. Quite a surreal 10 minutes. Not our our go to fish and chips place anymore. All over a couple of £. My customer experience was 2 out of 10.

Always friendly and polite staff. The best fish and chips in Cirencester by far, the quality is above the rest. Highly recommend.

This fish shop has to be one of my favourites! The food is delicious and reasonably priced. You get your moneys worth with the generous portions you are given. The staff who work there are friendly and lovely to have a chat with. I highly recommend this fish shop.

We came here after being disappointed with other trying other establishments. This is definitely the place to got for the best fresh fish with light batter and excellent chips. It was worth going just to the outskirts of town for!

Ordered cod & chips and curry sauce. The food was lovely the cod was tasty and batter light and crunchy. Chips were plentiful. Curry sauce was OK. The premises was lovely and clean with 5* hygiene rating and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit again.

A large portion of chips is the size of normal in other chip shops, and the order was missing one item, seems to be a regular problem with all the take aways in Cirencester.

I dont normally put a lot of reviews on TA however I felt compelled to when I read Jemma R's review below. Jemma R has only one review and does not explain why they thought the food was not nice, the review is not credible and it seems to me could stem from jealousy from another local food outlet. I have been coming to this chip shop for some time now and have always found the owners and staff to be very pleasant and professional. Even better, the food is always consistently great. I had fish and chips from here today and it was faultless. Great lightly battered fish, fresh chips and really generous portions. The mushy peas and curry sauce was also of the highest level. Five stars all round. Thank you.

Ordered 2 regular cod and chips, ran to shop whilst waiting, when got home the portion size of chips was more like a small and no salt and vinegar like asked… however wasn't a bad fish and chips otherwise. Seen not much size difference between regular and large fish, chips are good quality (other than portion size). Service was okay and polite.

Very very good fish and chips and super friendly service. We all really enjoyed our meals and thought the portion size was perfect! The only downside is the lack of parking outside but we managed to find a space on the road behind so it was fine. Would definitely recommend and return when next in the area.

10 stars all around! Literally ran here tonight and everyone behind the counter was soooooo nice!!! It was my first fish and chips since landing in England and moving to Cirencester and it did not disappoint! The fish was super soft with a beautiful crunchy batter and the chips were cooked perfectly. The curry sauce was also great. Highly recommend them for your fish and chips cravings!!! I will definitely be a regular here =)

Nice chips, would have been nicer had they been hot. I asked for extra wrapping as I had a short drive before eating. I got a paper bag and a comment "I tried to wrap a box once, it didn't go well". Well a paper bag is not going to keep the heat in is it! Thankfully I'm just passing through....

Not great.. Working away 4 nights a week. After a long cold day you need a hot meal. Came out with a big box with hardly any chips and a pie which is probably older than me... all served stone cold £6.80 @#$%

Used Cirencester Watermoor fish & chips shop for our free food Thursdays @ Batten and Allen Ltd - excellent food quality and great service. They were able to deliver all meals during lunchbreaks throughout the day piping hot. Would definitely recommend!

We've been wanting to try the fish & chips from here for a very long time after reading the excellent feedback. We've tried all the others in the area & they were average. This place I'm pleased to say is now on our "favourite hit list" when in the area again. We enjoyed every mouthful of the lovely white fish in a delicate covering of crispy batter with perfectly cooked tasty chips to accompany 😋!!!!

Coming originally from skegness and working in a chippy for pocket money in my younger days i believe that i know a good fish and chip shop when I find one, My sisters in law both live just down the road from here and this is the second time we have had fish and chips from here, The fish is coated in good crunchy batter not to thick and cooked through and the chips are also cooked well soft on the inside crunchy outside and both the curry sauce and mushy peas are tasty,The current covid restrictions are adhered to and you feel safe whilst there Highly recommended and we will definitely be eating from there again

First time I've been but I'll be back. VERY tasty fish and good chips too. Not a vast helping but to be honest that's a good thing. Too many places rely on quantity rather than quality. Nice to find one that gets the quality right first.

Had fish and chips tonight, unfortunately very disappointed, the chips were that dry was like if they were reheated or left over from yesterday. The fish was OK. The reviews giving this chippy a 4 star rated , baffles me. Probably the worst fish and chips I've ever tasted

Nothing wrong with the fish and chips as it is not bad at all. The issue is getting what you ordered and paid for. Two large cod and chips one plain jumbo sausage I battered jumbo sausage and a large chips. What actually received was 2 small cod with small chips and a plain small sausage with a tiny chips,seriously there were around 20 chips supposedly a large portion. Ive been to this chippy several times to understand there portion sizes so know what they should be. I will not be revisiting this place again.
