My new favorite place to eat. You can select what you want and see it in front of you rather than pictures on a menu. The food was hot and delicious. Staff were friendly. Thank you

I have ordered several times via Uber Eats until a year ago. Most of those times they always called after confirming the order to change the order because they seem to have a extremely flawed stock management. It says here that they close at 10pm and my orders were always before 8 pm which is way too soon to run out of stock. On 16 Feb 2023 however is the severe incident which neither WASABi or UBER is taking action to resolve even a year after. I placed an order at 7 pm after having returning from an exhausting trip without food at home. They cancelled the order altogether as they have nothing to replace, 3 hours before closing time. I was still charged for that. I phoned 2 times restaurant that night and no solution was ever offered. I have been at odds with UBER ever since (it has been months). they gave me different timeframes and nearly a year on and no solution. With no response from neither UBER or WASABI I actioned my financial institution and got a refunded but UBER retaliated by cancelling my subscription and banned me from the UBER Eats app until I pay this undue charge. Yesterday I got banned from UBER app as well and was left stranded unable to order a car. You might say: "Well, that's between you and Uber". Yes and no! It has been between me and Uber but I was advised by my financial institution to report both as fraud. But let's not forget that this while mess started with WASABI's gross mismanagement and incompetence! And it has been a full year of hassle! In would stay away from both! I am adding a response since the channel doesn't allow a reply. But the comment below is a good example of the constant push up I am up against the past 12 months. Dear Jane, I phone several times the restaurant and spoke with the manager. The order should have been cancelled via Uber so I would get the refund. I have been at odds with them ever since and I have been block from Uber Eats and Uber because of the mismanagement of Wasabi. It is stark the lack of accountability. Please resolve this with Uber urgently or I will have to implicate you in.further action as I have been advised to by my financial institution. Kind regards

The quality of the food is always topnotch. The selection was a bit limited on my last visit, but I did go in around 7:30. The seleves probably got cleared out at the start of the dinner rush. Overall, I really rate Wasabi, I always stop in for the doriyaki 👍

Superb sushi at a good price. The till was a bit slow as there weren't enough servers on for the volume of customers. Everyone wanting to grab and go had to wait for those ordering hot dishes from the counter.

This is probably the most unseasoned ramen I’ve ever ate. It taste like one of them cheap pot noodles with a bit of cabbage and thin noodles. Just so you know what you are getting, wouldn’t personally recommend it’s very bland.

Really not a nice place to visit. Feels a bit dirty. The food is no better than their microwave meals either so I fail to see why I would visit here.

A quick casual dining place for Japanese food. Stepped in for a quick dinner of prawn noodle soup and miso green chicken curry. The food was delicious and we would happily return. Has an extensive range of sushi and salads as well.

Salmon Poke bowl was delicious. I ate in for this and it was nice. The temperature of the food was perfect. I went back again this time for delivery but unfortunately the salmon poke bowl wasn't available this time. The website recommended Korean BBQ beef ramen and stated it was popular. I was very disappointed with it. There were probably 5 slim pieces of beef in the whole dish. I wouldn’t get this one again. The sushi was nice though which my daughter had.

It’s a great place to grab a takeaway before you are boarding a train as the food tastes great and is served quickly. The gyozas were a bit lacklustre but the chicken katsu curry was tasty.

The food is not bad, though there's not much choice after 6pm.

I like to nip in here for a quick bite to eat when i don't have time to dine in a restaurant. Staff are always pleasant and I appreciate that the place doesn't feel the need to play really loud music. Very chill environment.

I'm disappointed to see that the quality at this wasabi seems to be declining. The portion sizes are noticeably smaller - around 1/3 less food than I remember getting previously. Additionally, if you want noodles now, you have to pay an extra 50p, which wasn't the case before. The combination of smaller portions and extra charges for noodles. I hope the management will take customer feedback like this seriously and make some changes to improve the dining experience here again.

got severe food poisoning from the vegan sushi (the rice) i have a severe phobia of vomiting and can’t even express how it made life hell for me, looked it up and i’ve seen that i am definitely not the first person this has happened to

Nice food and good portions but the overuse of single use plastic in there is criminal. Every bowl has a massive plastic top on even if you are eating in and don't even need a top, and all the forks are plastic. They also don't have any recycling bins, just normal ones so all the lids that no one was using and every fork just goes in the normal bin. That plastic lasts forever... call me a hippie but the amount of people going in and out was huge. That's alot of plastic and I watched multiple people sit and not even touch those lids then put them in the bin 2 minutes later. Change your ways Wasabi. This matters.

Always a good choice for a quick hot lunch. This place has a high footfall so you know nothing has been sat around long. Katsu chicken is a safe bet, chicken crispy, sauce tasty and rice nicely cooked. You can sit by the window and watch the world go by.

It’s insane how a salad can taste bad. That’s quite difficult. Salmon teriyaki salad bowl - everything has this smell and taste of stale and rotting sweetness.

Wasabi Sushi & Bento in Leeds is an exceptional sushi restaurant. Not only the food is amazing, the staff is also very kind. One of the staff saw we had a dog and kept it outside, so he asked if we were dining in. When we said yes, he told us the dog was allowed inside. The staff were also very polite. Overall, I recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a good place to eat sushi.

Sad that they stopped the coconut salmon but the small rice dish with cooked salmon was lovely. Decent price point too. Nice Mochi

Placed an order on Just eat at 8.50, got a message to say the restaurant had accepted it. Waited almost an hour for them to then cancel it. So I rang them, and spoke to a blunt lady who said they closed at 9 and don’t have drivers after 9. So I asked why they accepted my order in the first place then and she then conveniently replied “sorry the lines bad”. Why not refuse my order or cancel it sooner rather than making me wait an hour?

Visited for a quick lunch and was rather impressed. The service was fast, simple and cheap. Ordering the katsu curry bento box, I have had no problems with customer service. The food itself was quite good for the price and convenience- the rice was perfectly cooked, good portions and tasted alright. The curry was a little bland and could use a little more spice and had an unpleasant aftertaste but no complaints beyond that. The fried chicken was a nice contrast of texture, although it could have been seasoned a little better. In short, highly recommend to satiate Japanese food cravings on a tight budget. Well done.

Enjoyed it but not as good as it used to be when it the place was new a few years ago.. sauce portion a lot smaller so ended up with dry rice at the end, used to have some nice veg in the katsu and the chicken was nicer before. I'd probably try it again one day to see if it goes back to original standard.

I love how affordable yet filling wasabi bento is. Always my go to while traveling. Favourite dish will be katsu curry and rice.

Just spoke to the rudest person on the phone about some lost property who was completely unwilling to help me. I’m not even convinced he was listening as all he said was “we don’t do that” “no we haven’t done that in a long time”. Dreadful. Rude manager or employee, plus dining in wasn’t great, was rushed along the line while trying to decide what to eat.

OMG, first time I’ve been here and it was fantastic. We had the sushi 🍣 boxes and 🥰😘 The hot food options also looked amazing as well.. one of the best places to eat in #Leeds for lunch.

I came here after a crazy night with my girlfriend and her best friend. We’d managed to work up quite an appetite, safe to say the Katsu chicken curry managed to scratch the itch neither of them managed to reach. The wasabi brand aloe Vera pomegranate drink was the sweetest nectar I’ve ever tasted. The staff behind the counter were so accommodating, stretching to fulfil my deepest Asian dish desires. I would absolutely recommend coming here for a quick, easy meal after a night of any strenuous activities.

Excellent place. Love that the hot bowls are fresh. Coconut salmon is amazing. Also sitting inside felt ok as doors wide open.

Loved the taste. I liked the salmon sushi the most with chicken aside. Quite cute inside of a box. The staff seemed happy serving customers.

Food is very tasty and (in the case of the Bento boxes) very good value. Staff are friendly and poilte. However, the paper bags that they provide are not fit for purpose (mine split whilst I was in an elevator, causing a Chicken Teriyake to explode over several pairs of shoes. Oh, and they don't allow you to pay with cash. Until they chnage thast last bit, I will no longer be visiting.

Really used to love this place back when I last worked in Leeds Used to order the chicken yakiatori but they have since discontinued it. Ordered the chicken teriyaki which resembled and tasted of chicken caserole rather than teriyaki (made mostly of a gravy type substance with cubed carrots and onions) Barely worth the subsidised price and drinks were a rip off at nearly £2 for a can of lemonade. Definitely not worth £8.60 It's better to leave some places as you remember them rather than have dissapointmsnts like this.

I love Sushi. I love bento boxes. They do a really good range and they deliver through deliveroo. Food is always so tasty and well presented. The restaurant itself was clean although a little draughty near the door.

I tried the food here after a recommendation from a friend - I had noodles and chicken, very tasty although some of the noodles were stuck together and going hard as if they had been sat out a long time. The portion sizes are very big which is reflected in the price, I would rather have a smaller portion for less money as the “regular” portions certainly aren’t regular.

Quick bite, nice food, reasonably priced and curry has always been tasty. Service has always been good. Advertised 2 types of chicken wings and one flavour was missing so lost a star. Will go back and recommended.

I'd been craving sushi for a while, and thought that Wasabi would be a good bet on a late night shopping. The selection was pretty reasonable, and prices were ok. But wow, just completely tasteless. No ginger was offered. Minimal soy sauce in a silly little container that isn't big enough to fit sushi. The chopsticks are terrible quality - what out for splinters!! Oh, and the "teriyaki chicken noodles" - wow. That is something else. Brown muck is probably my best description for it. It was edible, but I can't really say what it tasted of. The rest of the night I was drinking water to counteract the insane levels of salt in the food. I'm definitely not certainly that it was actually chicken. The biggest shame is the stink of food that permeated my clothes so completely that I now need to get my raincoat cleaned... Avoid, unless you're desperate. Just not worth it in any way. Boots will offer equivalent quality sushi.

You know what you’re getting with the food here so it matched my expectations. The customer service I received was great, contrary to previous reviews from others.

All wasabis are pretty similar as it's a chain but Leeds Wasabi is always clean and fast, I almost never have a problem with the food and would recommend the onigiri. That being said, if you're buying mochi, stay away from their own brand mochi which is tough and bland, and go for the little moons mochi that they also sell. It's ten times better and you will thank me. If you're buying bubble tea, go to Bubbleology nearby instead, it's far higher quality tea and even though it costs a pound more it's worth it. Wasabi's boba is never fresh and the straws they provide certainly aren't ideal, you end up with a cup full of tapioca at the end because they won't go up the straw. Recently I bought an apple bubble tea from Wasabi, and even though the tea itself tasted good, the cup itself split open and poured everywhere. I rushed to the counter asking if they could help me clear up the mess and apologised for it. The cashier immediately replaced me with a new one, no extra cost! That's impeccable customer service and I was so grateful I still got a drink with my meal.

We went in for sushi as it was late afternoon and we had missed lunch so needed a "quick something tasty" once we entered the building the smell from the hot bento counter was amazing do we had a change of heart. Katsu curry & rice for me and teriyaki chicken and noodles for him.We did obviously try each others, sharing is caring.Both were extremely tasty and very much enjoyed, only ever seen bento boxes already made up so the fresh option was something new.

Me and my friend have just come out of wasabi Leeds Albion street. What amazing service! The place was soo clean and the staff were mega friendly! They couldn’t do enough for us. Food was amazing ! What more can I say?? Fantastic all round!

I've been in Leeds over the weekend to meet some friends and we decided to give Wasabi a try, I think we been in the big shop, and wow as we entered we were welcomed by the team members with a smile on their faces, was refreshing to see such a young team with such a lovely attitude. While we were checking the sushi offer one team member approached us asking if we needed any help in deciding, I think his name was Ben, he made sure to tell us about the new salads and new bubble teas.

Generally consistent in terms of reasonably good sushi and some other Japanese style food, like mochi and miso soup. Some of the staff can be unpleasant, although I rarely see the same person twice.

Era solo yo, pero era imposible sentarse y disfrutar de la comida debido a esta actitud impactante del personal. Fue una dama que ni siquiera me saludó ni me dijo ni una palabra, ya que estaba demasiado ocupada hablando con su amiga, que vino a visitarla, pero esto no es lo peor, ya que realmente no me importaba. Comer, no socializar. Pero todo este tiempo ella gritaba y reía y gritaba tan fuerte con su amiga en su idioma, como he dicho que era imposible sentarse y disfrutar de su comida. Me fui tan rápido como pude.

Estuve en "Wasabi" y decidí volver a visitar un domingo con amigos. Fui al lugar más pequeño (lo siento, no estoy seguro de qué nivel está en el centro comercial). La dama de turno no era realmente amigable con el cliente, ya que cuando terminamos nuestra primera ronda de sushi, queríamos deshacernos de las cajas y buscábamos un bote de basura alrededor de 3 minutos, mientras que la mencionada dama estaba parada detrás del cajón. . . No demasiado profesional, cuando ves que la gente obviamente está buscando algo. Además, no estoy seguro de qué tan fresco estaba el artículo, ya que han pasado siete horas, comí mi sushi y no puedo dejar de eructar y sentir mi estómago bastante irritado (desde entonces no tenía ningún otro alimento). Así que no estoy seguro si volveré de nuevo.

La comida aquí, tanto el sushi como los platos cocinados, era buena, al igual que en otras ramas de Wasabi. Sin embargo, al igual que los otros, está realmente preparado para ser una comida para llevar, por lo que si bien hay algunas mesas, el interior es un poco básico, aunque está lo suficientemente limpio. Vale la pena señalar que, como todos los demás Wasabi en los que he estado, no tiene baño, pero eso no es un problema, ya que está en la entrada del centro comercial Trinity, que está bien equipado al respecto.

Sabrosa comida fresca, el ambiente es luminoso, limpio y organizado. Fui atendido por Bogdan, que es un líder de equipo y fue encantador, amable y educado. El tamaño de la poción fue excelente. Opté por un pollo al curry de Katsu porque no me sentía bien y quería algo cálido, reconfortante y no muy poco saludable. Tuve un regular que era 6. 40 y fue suficiente para el almuerzo.

I just love the chicken curry and the Katsu curry here. Service is fast and staff are very friendly. The only problem is portion size which is different each visit and totally depends on who serves you.

As far as sushi goes, I felt what I got was fairly average; it was nice, and perfectly edible. However, I did feel that the boxes didn’t really follow much of a natural ‘order’ or ‘theme,’ which I think would make it hard for people who only like certain varieties of sushi (then again, I’m no sushi expert, maybe it’s just me).

Best sushi in Leeds and nicely priced. It is also really nice katsu curry. I love the plum tea. It has a great variety. Hot or cold. You can get bubble tea.

For once I decided to try somewhere else to get something to eat as I didn't want to go to my usual favourite. I came across wasabi and I was very intrigued... I went to the one in Trinity though! I decided to try the Chicken Katsu Yakisoba Bento, which looked amazing...

Love popping in here to grab food, the hot food is delicious and huge portions for the price. I also love the cold sushis. Really nice staff. Will be returning again and again

For sushi I find wasabi reasonably priced. Great location in Leeds. On multiple visits I’ve never had an issue with the quality! Never had the hot food so can not comment on there hot food menu

I had no idea what I was doing but the lady behind the counter helped me out. I had noodles with sweet chilli chicken and it was delicious! The regular size was huge and cost approx £9. I will definitely be visiting again.

I love wasabi and the Leeds branch is fantastic. Loads of options for vegans, both in the sushi and the hot food counter. Bonus: food is 50% off in the last half an hour, which is perfect for a late night tea on the cheap!

Similar experience to Laura T review, not fresh food at all, very very salty which they use to try and hide the fact that food isn’t fresh.. served like warm , they microwave to warm it up Horrible, garbage food ..never again
