Walnuts Cafe Bistro in Bromley

Ordered an omelette which was awful. Was crispy and leathery and was obviously not freshly cooked. Don't order. Very disappointed. Orange juice delicious.

What a great breakfast.. can’t get there too often but when I do, never disappoints .. very very good. The girls looking after me we’re attentive and so sweet.. and have to say, very good value for money

Have never been dissapointed before in this cafe but yesterday was the absolute reverse. Two of us ordered ham egg and chips both of us asking for 1 egg only, we got 2 each. My hubby ordered the stir fry with sea bass. The fish was dry as a bone and the vegetables in the so called stir fry were so large and raw. A total waste of money. We did enjoy the scoop of icecream. Sorry we will not be returning. No body was asked about allergies and allogeneic and certainly no policy visible

This was my worst food experience, OVERCOOKED meat, desert didn't turn up, chef sarcastic. its not the first time. very POOR.

Coffee was nice, but thats where it ends. The girl serving us clearly really didn't want to be there, the elderly couple who got served by the same girl behind us said "oh she's happy" No local cafe feel. The penne carbonara pasta we ordered was swimming in oil so half was left. Maybe this was just a bad experience, but I've been to much better coffee shops/cafes which are less expensive & a much friendlier atmosphere. Wouldn't recommend.

Lovely breakfast with my wife and some of my family for my wife's birthday.

The Turkish breakfast was delish, lovely combination of food all cooked well with plenty of it. Will be back!

A lovely independent cafe which serves a delicious array of breakfasts, sandwiches and other great lunch options. They also have a mouth watering selection of cakes. Combined with attentive and friendly service from the staff, I highly recommend Walnuts Cafe for couples, friends or even in your own company.

Is a place for brunch after visiting the cave

Just visited Walnuts Petts Wood for Saturday brunch and sorry to say it was the most abysmal service I have ever had. Yes, it was busy when we arrived, but we were seated promptly in a corner of the ‘garden’ area and were basically forgotten about. After 20 minutes my husband had to go and find someone to come and take our order. They didn’t come over for another 5-10 minutes and with no apology took our order. We sat for another 30 minutes without a drink and in the meantime another couple came in and were served immediately, although they also had to wait a while for their drinks, which actually turned up before ours! When the drinks did turn up I had to drink mine in one go because it was not very hot. We then had to ask again where our food was, still no apology. When it did turn up, an hour after we arrived, it was delicious, but ruined by the whole experience. My husband had to eat and run as he was now late for an appointment. After complaining to the waitress she said she would speak to the manager to get something taken off or complimentary coffees. She returned saying the manager refuses to give a discount as everyone in the restaurant had long wait times. I find this just appalling customer service. Customers had arrived and been served after we’d come in. The least the manager could have done was offer a discount on our next visit. However, I will not be returning to Walnuts Petts Wood, and I will make sure I tell friends and family of our experience. The manager needs to take a course in how to take care of his customers!

We have being going here for a while, but dissatisfied by our last visit , people sitting with dogs on laps, and snappy dogs ,service was slow, by husband ordered eggs Benedict on my recommendation, I had had this the week before with toast and it was served up with eggs on a large piece of toast and another slice. Husband ordered his with muffin, we were al shocked when it arrived as it was on the smallest muffin we’ve ever seen and that was it, my husband doesn’t like making a scene so we just ordered chips to go with it. Very disappointed as I have never had issues before with this cafe . We will go back, although they do seem to be concentrating on the home delivery side of the business, we should have said something, but surely the food should all come out as it has been served before.

The only reason I am giving it a 3 is the dogs are inside the premises … people must be in denial it’s not hygienic at all where they food is prepared and served you have animals inside this is getting out of hand as now they are everywhere nothing against dogs they are amazing but there is a place and time they shoujd be outside or leave them home if you can’t look after them ! Can’t bring dogs to work or any public places why where people eat ?? It’s not ok

The menu was good with a mixture of all day breakfasts/ brunch, burgers, pastas etc. I enjoyed the shish kebab and portion was huge! My sister has to ask for a takeaway box.

It was supposed to be brunch, but by the time the food came it was lunch. 25 minutes after ordering one coffee, was told it’s a 20 minute wait for drinks…still waiting now, 35 minutes in total! The food is very good at least

service very slow, had to ask twice where our drinks were. sandwich was like a door stop, bread much to thick.

Food was let down by poor service. I won’t be returning. It’s nice that the staff get on well but I don’t appreciate them shouting to each other across the restaurant.

I visited walnuts after a nice couple of visits before..I told my wife how nice it was even if it was slightly pricey..we waited 40-45 min for food I had extra poached egg as I didn’t have mushrooms..all 3 eggs were rock hard,bacon was cold and one of the sausages was burnt..shame….won’t be back..

Asked for a sausage roll and a cappuccino, I was definitely understood as the girl working said ‘one of these ones?’ She then only heated up about 10/12 minutes later after I had to ask, am I getting a sausage roll???? I had paid lol There was nothing else being done in the mean time, cafe wasn’t busy, just chatting away instead, thanks for forgetting me.

A welcome stop after a good walk in Petts Wood. A wide and good choice of food. Reasonably priced.

Walnuts Special Toast was excellent, and the quality of the vegetarian breakfast was excellent. However, if you are hungry or have a big appetite, you might want to order extra toast as one slice plus one hash brown may not be enough for you. Service was quick and friendly, and we ate outdoors to enjoy some sunshine. Popular cafe with families, so can be a bit noisy inside.

We met my cousin in Petts Wood on the promise of carpets of snowdrops in the actual woods but although the woods are lovely, snowdrops there are not! After a good walk we drove down the High Street and liked the look of the Walnuts - what a find! A fabulous lunch in the sun, plentiful delicious salads, jacket potatoes made mountainous with fillings, good coffee and lovely desserts/cakes. It is like a tardis as it is much bigger on the inside and was packed (Sunday lunchtime) and when we got there we were told it was 45 min wait for food but it arrived after a more respectable 25 mins. Highly recommended.

Saturday lunchtime, the place was buzzing. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. However, although our order was taken fairly quickly, the food took 40 mins to arrive. This was poor as we ordered baguettes/paninis which required no cooking!

Hidden gem in Chislehurts!!! Great Menu, very fast service. Absolutely amazing coffee and the barista is such an artist.

Four of us ate here yesterday, we had booked. The place was so packed and buzzing. The restaurant was cold I do not think they had the heating on. We sat at the end of the restaurant opposite a door to another section. When this door was open it was so so cold. In fact in the end we moved tables so did many people who sat at the end. There were only 2 waitresses and one was very stressed. This is all a shame as when the food came we were told there would be a 45 minute wait it was excellent. Maybe this is just a blip as it was the day after Boxing Day.

Was so surprised how bustling this cafe was. I only had a coffee which was lovely and the food i did see looked well presented with good portion sizes. I will be back to sample some of the menu for sure

Always amazing food, Busy cafe but I believe that’s is only because it’s the best cafe around. The staff are so friendly and will always go out their way to make sure you are happy.

This is a lovely cafe situated in the prime position within a parade of independent shops. The menu is varied and tempting! The service has always been great and the staff accommodating, attentive and friendly. The fully loaded fry up and omelettes are the go to choice for us and the coffees are delicious. One of the best things about Walnuts is we have enjoyed every visit without feeling rushed. It is vibrant, welcoming, perfect outside in the sunshine and cosy indoors on greyer days. A lovely little escape from reality and would fully recommend.

Ordered on deliveroo as I love walnuts lunches. My daughters baguette with prawn avocado was fine but OMG my BLT baguette was horrible. It had cold bacon with lots of fat. Gross, left most of it. Won't order again.

First time ever visiting and the food was amazing and the service matched the food. The owner was also so accommodating and greeted other customers and myself which was lovely to see. I went home with 3 different cakes after having Brushetta, Olives and an Iced Coffee and the food was so reasonable. I will definitely return with the family. Thanks 😃

Good place for a quick bite, has a very extensive menu and is vegetarian and vegan friendly. Plenty of outdoor seating and some tables inside.

Paninis are good. I had the mozzarella sun-dried tomato one and it was delicious. Coffee is good and prices are fair - £5ish for paninis, £9 ish for breakfasts, coffees are about £2.50-3. Has outside seating on the roadside. Good service and we enjoyed this place.

So lucky to have this great business in Chislehurst. They are professional, courteous snd have great quality food and produce. There’s a great atmosphere and their staff are so helpful and friendly! The kids love their chicken kebabs, they are just delicious, the marinade is...

5 stars for walnuts! Came in for a standard bacon and egg sandwich and was surprised to see how well the food was prepared (even with a salad on the side) we ended up buying the melts & cakes too! Sally & Tilly served us...

The Walnuts Cafe is situated in the main Street of Chistlehurst it is a very airy Cafe and you have a choice of sitting inside or out the menu is varied with a good variety of courses to suit all tastes and it also has a kids menu the staff are very friendly and efficient so well worth a visit

Drinks were served promptly but we had to wait 35 minutes for the food. The baked potato was inedible, but the staff refused to give a refund for it. DON'T COME HERE unless you have plenty of time.

We visited this bustling café on a sunny Sunday morning for a quick coffee and pastry while our granddaughter was at her gym class, so can't comment on the hot breaker/ brunch offerings but other customers' meals looked impressive. Our coffee was very good and the croissants were good quality and very fresh. A good lively ambiance, nice inside and with outside seating, too.

A waitress took our order within 10 minutes but we were waiting over 45 minutes from then for our food to be served. I asked 2 separate waitresses how long the wait on food was and they both ignored me. I ordered a steak sandwich and it was like chewing leather. Will not be returning.

Coffee is above average but the cakes and pastries are just so-so, bought in/frozen from the usual big suppliers which is a bit of a shame. Lots on offer, lots of space and well staffed which will tick the boxes for most.

Good reviews so popped in for late lunch with my daughter. Usually I go to the Petts wood one. First impressions disappointing; not as nicely decorated as PW one. It was quiet so took a table at the back and waited for someone to bring a menu. Why didn't someone show us to a table and give us menus when we arrived? My sparkling water arrived with no ice or lemon. We ordered 2 caesar salads one with salmon 1 with chicken. Sorry but not as good as PW! Chicken not as nicely cooked and the croutons were hard, thought I might lose a filling. Salmon was OK. Whole experience of staff and service was that it wasn't as slick and efficient as the other branch in petts wood. Disappointing.

Best family cafe in chislehurst We love going to Walnuts cafe with our little ones. The owners are so welcoming and friendly, the staff very helpful and lovely and most of all the food is always amazing and freshly cooked. We always feel relaxed eating...
