Each time we had dinner here the food was tasty, the service was good, the servers were nice and friendly and the atmosphere was cosy and relaxed

Sunday lunch, waitresses were kind and polite, service however was very slow with a very long wait for main course. When it arrived it was enormous with plate piled high with loads of veg, topped with Yorkshire pudding and all swimming in gravy. If veg had been served in a separate tureen so we could help ourselves it would have been so much more acceptable. As it was the piled up plate full put us off our meal, sorry.

I went to Wallis & Co most recently in between Christmas and New Year and had the steak. Oh wow, absolutely delicious. I had the chimmichurri sauce which was amazinggggggg, plus gorgeous chips.

Visited on a Tuesday night and had the steak sharing platter which was really good.

Very high quality food for a great price. Will definitely be back

Just finished, apparently the best parmo my eleven year olds ever had lol x Our first time here; the food was lovely, Great atmosphere especially the live band playing in the background and to top it off the bar staff were so polite and friendly certainly made us feel welcome so we will definitely be back! X

We called in tonight after the fireworks at Seaton , our first visit, and couldn’t find any thing to fault, great food, lively friendly atmosphere, attentive staff and live music, what more could you want

I recently had a meal at Wallis and co. We had a fish platter starter which looked and tasted amazing. A feast for the eyes before the taste buds kicked in. Then we had catch of the day. All done to perfection. One of the best meals I ever had. The chef came out when I thanked them and the staff were so attentive. Kev, Lloyd and Meg and the others made my night very special. Just bobbed over from Barnsley for the weekend as my partners working over here, called in today for sunday lumch. Was goimg to have 2 courses because i wanted mussels for a started, but you had run out, but was not dissapointed, because it was very busy an popular so decided to just have the sunday lunch and a pudd if we had room. I had crispy pork belly and my partner had beef briscket and we both agreed it was by far the best Sunday roast weve had in a long time. Everything was cooked perfectly so delicious we ate the lot, and didnt have room for pudding, The waitresess and bar staff were so nice and friendly and professional, I will definately be back, but I'm bringing all the family next time, cant recommend you guys enough, keep up the great work, what a lovely dining e perience we had xx

Came here for a big family get together. cocktails were delicious and the food was amazing. Staff were all polite and helpful and even let the kids go into the other side to sit on the swinging chairs before dessert. if I still lived locally, this is the place I would want to go for a night out, love the décor and daft quotes on the walls.

Excellent chilled out atmosphere. Food was excellent with big portions so make sure your hungry. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.

Excellent food all round our party of 5. I'm gluten free and that's sometimes a hurdle when eating out but I was catered for exceptionally well. 20/10 to the two chefs and the same goes to floor/bar staff who made the most delicious cocktails with all the trimmings.

We have been here a few times and never disappoints. Food is excellent and staff are attentive, friendly and polite. Cannot fault and I would definitely recommend.

We had lunch on Thursday..we are all in the hospitality trade and could not fault anything..most especially Hannah our sever..she was wonderful..professional and knowledgeable...give the girl a pairwise.. she is your best asset..we will be back!!

I didn't eat at the venue so I can't speak for the taste but it looked and smelled very appetising! Very smart looking venue, separate bar space to restaurant space including outdoor space to sit and enjoy the views of the marina.

We really wanted to enjoy this restaurant, but unfortunately it was quite disappointing. The four of us planned to use the Winter Special two courses for £15 menu, especially since it had a garlic Mussels starter (a favourite for two of us) included. It also included a vegetarian lasagne that two of our party (vegetarian) liked the sound of. Having taken our orders, the waitress came back to let us know that the vegetarian lasagne wasn't available, but that they would swap in a veggie (mushroom) burger as part of the £15 deal. Which was OK so far I guess. Then the poor waitress was sent back to us to tell us that the Mussels were also not available. One of us chose an alternate started from the Winter Special but I didn't really fancy any of the others. I asked if I could (as the other had) substitute an alternate from the regular menu..."no" was the answer despite the alternate being only 50p more than the Mussels on the main menu. Anyway, to keep things simple, I did choose one of the available starters from the £15 menu. Having sorted all that out, we then had to wait over 45 minutes before our starters appeared. And the food wasn't that great unfortunately. The fish cakes, although really crispy, were quite bland - no flavour of fish, just potato. The mushroom burgers substituted for the unavailable veg lasagne were very tough - one of our party struggled to cut hers, and in the end left most of it uneaten. Upon receiving the bill, the promised inclusion of the mushroom burgers in the £15 deal didn't make it to the bill so we paid £70 for the food rather than the £60 we had been clearly led to believe. We did pay the bill as presented, rationalising the additional charge in lieu of service charge that we weren't asked for and didn't add ourselves. Final note: Behind us was a table of five, they also had a waitress advise them that two of the three desserts they had chosen weren't available that evening. So if something on the menu takes your fancy, probably best to call and check it's actually available.

Very disappointed went for afternoon tea eith vouchers that I received for my 65th birthday paid for a third voucher so there was 3 of us all together definitely not worth the money prices of everything is disgraceful even the presentation of the food wouldn't recommend

My husband and I eat here quite regularly. I booked in late for mothers day and Lloyd arranged for us to sit in the middle area. He even sent me a picture of the seating to check it would accommodate my elderly grandfather. The restaurant was busy but the service was still brilliant. The food is consistently good, home made and really reasonably priced. Cocktails are always really good too. It's my go to restaurant in Hartlepool.

We had the flat iron steak rare that was cooked perfectly, the rest of the meal was excellent and service was great. Would highly recommend. But be aware that you have to pay for parking.

The cocktail menu is HUGE! with sooo many novel and delicious ones to choose from. The names of the cocktails alone are worthy of a mention! Kudos to whoever put together the menu. The bar was very quiet when we arrived around 2pm on a saturday afternoon, which was lovely as meant we didn't have to queue and got first choice of all their quirky seating options, such as swinging egg chairs, plus the usual booths etc. Be warned when we walked past later just after 6pm the bar looked packed! The bar was decorated for Halloween, which was fantastic (we visited on the saturday afternoon 2 days before) and we had fun taking a few photos with the fun props, such as the giant spiderwebs etc. The staff behind the bar were very friendly and fast making our drinks, they clearly knew what they were doing. The Halloween cocktail menu was only small but there were some really tasty options - I loved the toffee apple! and priced at 2 cocktails for £14 (have to be the same) so not bad value . Otherwise cocktails are £8 each. Although there are much cheaper options a few doors down with 2 for £10 or £12, I think the cocktails here are worth the little extra! Summary: delicious cocktails, plenty of seating options on a saturday afternoon, music not too loud, plus fast service & friendly staff = what's not to love!

Bottomless brunch, very good, not as much variety of drinks as other places. Food good. Service seemed to slow down but that might have been due to the place being full x

Good food, however there was a moment where one of our party was told something was gluten free in an uncertain tone so when she double checked the answer changed and she was told it wasn’t gluten free after all despite making it clear twice she needed it to be gluten free

Came here really last minute on a Saturday night due to a cancelled food booking elsewhere and we had a great time, Hannah was incredibly accommodating considering there were 8 of us last minute and she looked after us the whole time making sure we always had drinks and even when it came to taking our food orders she made sure everyone got exactly what they asked for with no mistakes, and the food all arrived at the same time so nobody was sat waiting. Will definitely be back :)

My friend lives in Hartlepool and raves about the cocktails here! There is a big cocktail menu, but we lucked out as on a friday the cocktails are 2 for £10 on same drinks, so we ordered a couple from this menu. We were at this bar around 90 minutes whilst waiting for a table to open up at the tapas a couple of doors up. We then went onto Fuschia Lounge for some amazing Halloween cocktails!! We will be back :-) Lots of quirky seating areas such as swinging egg chairs, plus the usual booths etc - ours with a swinging table! There is a little room that can be hired for beer pong! Such a shame that there was a sign saying booked the whole time we were there, around 90 minutes, but we never saw anyone actually use or even go into the room!

Doesn’t look like much from the outside as part of the strange row of bars, cafes and restaurants along the marina but so pleased we stopped here! Service was great, friendly and efficient and the food was delicious. We went on Greek night and the small dishes in particular were excellent. Definitely recommend a visit!

Went to go into another restaurant on the marina but first 5 mins while standing at the door no customers been seen to felt more like a McDonald’s. So glad we came here tho,instantly greeted by Abbie Who seen us looking lost in the bar area. She brought us through to the restaurant and sat us instantly after walking for 30 mins to get to the marina from our Hotel we were so pleased. Abbie and Brosley were very attentive, affective, efficient, smooth with good knowledge of the menus and nothing was too much bother. Very nice genuine people, nice to get a warm welcome for out of towners my sister lives here so we will be back and defo returning well done to the team. As a restaurant General Manager myself I appreciate a good venue with great staff and exactly what you have here. The food and drinks were amazing best paramo we’ve ever had and a wham bar cocktail amazing

Visited for lunch today.. food was nice but overpriced! Brownie was £5 wouldn’t order again was tiny with a small dollop of ice cream worth no more than £2.50.. told waitress our feedback and she just walked off didn’t know what to do.

Visited 20th Aug for Dinner had the paramo burger and 3 of the starters. Food was nice and was delivered quickly. Beer was over priced at 4.90 a pint of peroni. Our server was great always smiling and asking if we required anything else. STAFF...

This was our second visit and we chose the Steak Night special. Both steaks were delicious and cooked exactly as ordered. The accompanying tomatoes were oven cooked and sprinkled lightly with herbs. The mushrooms were more of the wild type, not the standard button variety....

Came last night as a last minute plan didn’t book was quite late and they fit us in not a problem, other places would of usually stopped serving but these where more than happy ! Waitress was very accommodating and smiley over all very helpful (she’s a keeper)! Helped with alcohol free drinks our food that we ordered and it was beautiful ! Only let down was their was only 4 desert choices which weren’t to our taste, Will 100% be back thanks guys

Had Sunday lunch. We ordered drinks which finally arrived half way through our meal. (We had to ask for them 3 times). My husband ordered Ham which appeared to be no more than sliced ham from a packet. I had the beef which was delicious but the mash was cold and the vegetables were very disappointing. We used to visit this restaurant regularly but won’t be returning. They gave us the drinks as complimentary as an apology but this then got miscommunicated to the staff. Very disappointing.

Have visited Wallis and Co many times but on my last visit the food was so terrible I had decided not to go back. The server was embarrassed even. I arranged to meet a friend last week and it was where he wanted to go as he said he had been the week before and it had been very good. He wasn't wrong. All the food looked great and mine was delicious. Absolutely 100% better. I would certainly look forward to going again. Staff were attentive and gave us a friendly welcome. My only grumble is the spraying of a strong cleaner into the air when you are eating. The spray should be sprayed away from customers into a cloth. In close proximity to customers, clothes and food it is concerning and unpleasant and some staff training on this wouldn't go amiss to improve the customers experience and also avoid claims for damages to bags and clothes and for those with allergies.

Fabulous staff who worked hard with smiles on their face to correct various matters beyond their control. Food and service were great. Would certainly go back.

Having never been to Wallis and Co before, we visited the marina on a Saturday afternoon and ended up eating there. The waitress was very helpful and smiley with the additional benefit the food came promptly. I ordered the burger, although I don’t normally select this the menu made it sound very appealing. When it did I wasn’t disappointed. A belly busting plate of quality food. I would highly recommend and I will be visiting again although not necessarily before the cinema.

My wife and I decided to stop at navigation point and have a look around the marina on Sunday. We also decided to have some lunch and opted for Wallis n Co. We first ordered drinks and were then very kindly shown into the restaurant next door by very pleasant barman. Once on we were quickly shown to our table and ordered. We both went for a 2 course dinner, I plumped for the tandoori king prawn skewers served with raita, mango and rocket salad with mini naan bread, absolutely delicious. We both chose the beef brisket served on a bed of creamy mash, roast potatoes and yorkshire pudding. These were accompanied by roast parsnips, carrots and cauliflower cheese. The meal was quite magnificent. It was served by very pleasant and hard working staff and a return visit is on the agenda already.

Had a free Tuesday evening and we decided to try the steak night, both of us enjoyed our steak meal and the relaxed atmosphere. Thanks to all for the excellent service as well!

Fantastic service from staff, tables a bit cramped. I had a Greek salad which for £8.95 was very very poor value, lettuce one tomatoe cut up,a few small bits of feta & olives & a dressing that was it !!! I have never had such a small Greek salad ..... Grossly overpriced

I pre-booked at table for 2 persons for 2PM, we live 20miles away so was looking forward to the afternoon. We arrived at 1:45 and escorted to our table, it took around 10 minutes for a waitress to take our orders and told that they only had the Ham left out the 4 options. This establishment runs meals up until 4:30 so how could they have run out of options!!!! Unbelievable. Will not return to this place again and it’s a shame that I couldn’t score 0/5

This is the third time we have visited this little restaurant over the last six months, and cannot fault it. One of us had the garlic mushrooms, and the other had the fishcake off the small plate menu. The garlic mushrooms came in a bowl with toast, and the fish cake had a lightly dressed salad. Both meals were the perfect amount for small plates, and very tasty, ideal for a light lunch. The mushrooms were nice and chunky in a creamy sauce, whilst there was plenty of fish in the fishcake. We had the chocolate spoon desert and an Eton mess, both of which were wonderfully indulgent.

the three course meal and a bottle of wine was excellent the staff were friendly and the sevice great , when i came to pay for the meal i thought the bill said £81(no reading glasses) so i gave the waitress £90 in cash , she came back with £29 as the bill was only £61, so much honesty , i tipped of course . definately going back again

Went for Sunday Lunch with family and was very impressed with the quality, price and service. Lovely choice of starters, roast meats and desserts. Have been here before for breakfast and evening meals which have always been amazing. Would highly recommend Sunday Lunch.

We have dined at Wallis and Co many times in the past, and for many breakfasts as a family. We are often torn over options as all are usually excellent. This time two of us opted for home made hash browns with cheesy scrambled eggs as it’s a favourite. My plate arrived with a raw chip alongside the hash brown which I bit into thinking it was a slice of apple. The hash browns were neither browned or cooked, resembling a piece of old mattress and tasted stodgy and raw. The scrambled eggs were merely mediocre and lacked cheese. My daughter’s full English was also poor, with the same uncooked hash brown, cremated bacon (granted she had asked for it crispy) and was luke warm. We all left most of the meal and were bitterly disappointed. This has ruined our experience of what used to be a beautiful place for breakfast. The waitress explained it was a new chef but we paid for the food. The new chef seems to lack skills and we will not be returning

I visited here with my family on April 24th for are usual breakfast favourites as it one of our local bar/restaurants that we have always raves about their food drinks and fabulous service. As usual the service was fabulous, however when the food come out I have never been so disappointed in what I have been served. I got a full English and the my family got the hash brown with cheesy scrambled egg. First of they were room temperature which wasn’t enjoyable anyways and then my mum found a uncooked chip on her plate, not to sure what had went on their? The hash browns were more a lump of undercooked potato rather than a crispy golden hash brown, and most of my fry up had been burnt. The flavour was there as always from the products you stock in however the cooking was poor. Hoping this improves as you are one of my favourite places to go to. :(

We used to go to Wallace & Co pretty regular, everything everything was beautiful, the scallops came with Stilton Cheese and Crisy Kale, The Brisket was out of this world served with glazed stem broccoli.

I have to start with saying this is possibly one of the best Sunday lunches I have had, I choose the melon and prawn and the turkey, my husband had the soup and beef, two soft drinks and two coffees, £40, th ereason I havnt given it 5 stars is because my starter of prawn and melon, was so small, (tasted wonderful) the smallest prawns I have ever seen, then another couple came in and the guy got the same starter, with lovely big king prawns, I pointed it out to the girl when we paid, and she did agree that it was a small portion, now if they had realised it was then surely they should have corrected it before it reached our table, but as I said it was delicious but just a bit of consistency required and it would have been 5 stars, will definitely going again and would highly recommend people give it a try

Ordered Fillet Steak and was served with something that didn’t nearly resemble a Fillet Steak. Server took it back to the chef who returned it assuring us it was a Fillet. It more resembled a stringy bit of brisket. We returned it and ordered the spicy chicken instead. Server was very helpful and the service was friendly and efficient but will not return and would not recommend.

I love it here and eat here occasionally. I often go for the Tuesday steak deal and I think the food is really nice and a decent price. The decor is lovely and there is lots of great food to choose from as well as a fab cocktail list. However the last two occasions I’ve visited the service has been really poor and it lets the restaurant down. I was there on Tuesday with my boyfriend and the service was so slow. We were sat waiting for our food without drinks for about 30 minutes and had to ask for someone to come over. The restaurant had about 3 other tables in it so it was not busy and the staff just stood around talking. The second time this week I was with friends and again service was really slow, it was not that busy so there isn’t much for reason for us to be sat waiting to order drinks/waiting a long time for the bill, payment to be take etc. It is such a lovely place but the poor service distracts from the good food and lovely decor.

I come to this place often and even hold our Christmas party here so we booked the afternoon tea for a friends 50th birthday. It was overall a very poor afternoon tea and we were all disappointed. I complained personally to the owner but was offered an afternoon tea (1) as compensation ???? strange. I did not receive a response after that. This place has always been first on my list for lunch, sunday lunch, cocktails etc. Not any more.

I have been to Wallis & Co for Breakfast, lunch, dinner & evening cocktails (all separate occasions) and each time has been perfect (I recommend the cheesey scrambled eggs with homemade hash browns & crispy bacon for breakfast ) Food is always lovely and cocktails are impressive too.

Wallis & Co have a great offer of a cocktail bar and restaurant. We like to visit the cocktail bar every time we go out out, and they have lots to offer.

Classy bistro restaurant lovely decor. Thursday taps night 3 dishes for £13 & 2-4-1 cocktails. 3 dishes were really tasty & filling and plenty for 1 person for a lighter meal 2 people could share perfect with a cocktail, glass of wine or beer. Also larger meals available. Had mini burgers & mini fish & chips perfect for the children- our 2 shared 3 tapas dishes. Nice atmosphere staff very attentive. Spicy rice was nice with a good kick of spice & the brisket was tender. The food tastes home made & really full of flavour. We were full up & didn’t look at desserts. Good value for what we had. Felt like a treat. Nice for family & friends to get together & nice marina views. Would be a great spot for a glass of wine by the window to watch the views.

We decided to try the Sunday lunch and we really weren’t disappointed. I had mushrooms to start, my husband had prawns but we did a swap half way through! Both were delicious. For main course I had beef which melted in your mouth and my husband chose turkey. Both mains served with roasts, Yorkshire’s and freshly cooked vegetables. We tend to eat out of town because we’re never happy with the standard in Hartlepool but we really enjoyed both the food and drinks and we will definitely be back!

My first thought was, this is a bit expensive but a few minutes reflection got me thinking that it is not that expensive compared to other towns, just that Hartlepool is a bit down trodden and it is normal to get some junk for a fiver.

My fiancé & I visited family in Hartlepool this month. It's been a while since we've been and we stumbled on Wallis & Co, on Hartlepool Marina. It was wonderful. The decor' is really casual and welcoming. The staff are really friendly and attend to all your needs in again a casual friendly way.
