Ice cream sundaes and pancakes etc were brilliant as always, except the old school cake was a bit (very) dry. Super busy as BHM but even so service and food excellent - parking was chaotic but it was so busy!!!

Visit the ice cream parlour several times. Young staff serving so some are more helpful and upbeat than others. Extremely busy but the line clears quick. Great value for money and lovely ice cream

Wallings website says they’re open until 5, so arriving to the cafe at 3:50 we thought we had plenty of time. As soon as walked in, someone abruptly told us to go to the counter to order as they were closing the tills immediately. Having found a table we dashed through the order process and went to place the order. Within 2-3 minutes the ice creams arrived, clearly in a rush. We were then told the staff would clean around us whilst we ate. At 4:10 having had chance to pour a cup of tea, a member of staff came to clear any plates that she could take. We were still just starting to eat the ice creams and scones, so not really much chance to have finished anything in the handful of minutes we’d had our food. Another member of staff constantly walked past and glared at us which made us very uncomfortable. We ended up having to almost force feed the kids their ice creams in order to leave. Another table made comments on being forced out too. What is normally a great place has turned into yet another venue run by teenagers who have no idea, and we won’t be rushing back, something which unfortunately will not even dent the abject arrogance of the staff working here.

Had to clear a table to sit down. Used to be good. Getting tired. And someone please get a duster out. Looked up to see this cobweb laden eyesore directly above what I was eating. Dont think we'll be back.

Food wasn't great in the restaurant and the place is looking tired. I'll be sticking With the takeaway ice cream In future. Staff helpful though.

Service poor, tables not cleared by staff (we had to move dirty plates etc. and wipe the table ourselves), cold coffee, quality of the food not good. We won’t be returning.

The service was colder than the Ice cream. Clearly ran by untrained, rude and completely unprofessional staff. The managers attitude and her team was disgraceful during our visit today. I would like to make a recommendation for all team members and their manager to attend a crash course in basic customer service. What could have been a lovely experience was very quickly the opposite and extremely disappointing. The manager does not address or accept responsibly for her staff’s bad and immature attitude despite several tables witnessing it. For the staff member who organised our table and who clearly hadn’t had a great day, I suggest you find an alternative field of work and also seek anger management.

Before travelling to Wallings ice cream we quickly checked the opening times, which stayed open until 5pm. After travelling for one hour with my family and niece who has special needs, we were greeted with great disappointment. We arrived in the cafe 3.57pm only to be told they have literally just stopped taking orders! We were told they stopped serving 4pm ( albeit my fit bit did not say 4pm) , I explained it took us an hour travel but even though the family just before us as we walked in were allowed in the cafe we were the first to be turned away. We were told we could purchase a takeaway ice cream instead. The time we placed our order next door was 4.01pm which proofs it was a few minutes to 4 when entering cafe. I understand there has to be a cut off point, but there was no one behind us and people immediately before were allowed in! I have since looked properly at the website which does say in small letters cafe stop taking orders At 4 however the customer service was not good. We therefore travelled one hour to sit in the car park with an ice cream, which was lovely, I can not fault the ice cream but I have given low score for being turned away.

The entire staff behind the counter stopped and stared me down as I left, look I dont mind people staring at me so long as they are discreet ( I know Im gorgeous) But these people have no tact!

I bought a litre tub of black cherry ripple ice cream to take home,I am near the end of the tub and still looking for the black cherry ripple should have just bought the vanilla flavour as that is what I ended up with.Photo supplied.

Wallings was recommended as a place for a good late morning/early lunch bacon butty, Our bacon rolls were fine with good quality and well cooked bacon, a little crispy just as we like it. Drinks proved a little more expensive by way of a cappuccino and a small pot of tea. Sitting downstairs proved to be a gloomy affair where extra lighting would improve the ambience, if only for a quick bacon butty. Staff were friendly enough with the exception of one who appeared especially surly and unable to interact with or smile at customers. I think in future we will stick to Booths in nearby Garstang for an all round better experience.

Come here a few times now, has not disappointed. Absolutely incredible flavours of ice cream. And good snacks inside the cafe too. Great service, and definitely worth the drive over.

This is our second visit for breakfast as its the best bacon & sausage sandwich in the area, travelling 36 miles on a round trip - its so good. Table always clean, efficient service by staff, never having to wait too long for food. Fresh batch, 2 slices of thick tasty bacon with 2 butchers pork meaty sausages. Pot of tea (3 cups) & a hot milky latte - the perfect breakfast. Working my way through the luxury chocolates - buy 3 at each visit, different flavour each time - Kirsche Tipple favourite so far.

I Go here regularly. Have just visited today for a lunch and dessert having come away from another establishment without ordering because they made it difficult. They serve basic items which suit kids like cheese on toast, crumpets, sausage bun, pannini. That’s all we wanted a basic eat and brew followed by ice cream dessert. Every thing is high quality local produce and has a home made feel, such as the cheese on toast was served on lovely hand sliced toast, my sausage bun was a handmade fresh bun with proper pork sausages and butter. I got 3 cups of tea out of my pot of tea. Then we got 2 x2 scoop sundaes between 4 of us which was more than enough. We were served quickly. It’s always busy on a nice day. I’ve gone off going to the parlour because: 1 you get hounded by wasps the minute you get out of the car. Something more should be done about the wasp issue. And 2, they over fill the cones to the point they collapse, this has happened to me twice and I’ve wasted my money on ice cream that’s gone on the floor. And also the cones are too much for a child to manage, ice cream drips everywhere and the wasps get even worse. At one point my 2 year old had 2 or 3 land on him at a visit in July. That and the fact that today we wiped our own table with a baby wipe but it was extremely busy, is the only reason I’ve removed a star. Will keep going here.

I always celebrate the anniversary of my father's passing by having an ice cream. He loved the trip out to Wallings so that's where I went this year. I had a single scoop of white chocolate ice cream in a waffle cone. Believe me you won't be disappointed. There were plenty of picnic tables and parking spaces and I was able to sit quietly enjoying the weather, the ice cream and my own reflections. Perfect.

Been twice in two weeks and cannot fault the food it’s just the service which needs a little tweaking, on are first visit we ordered 2 breakfast items and a lunch item which came 5 minutes after the the first, we then ordered deserts and again we were kept waiting as they didn’t arrive together, today however was even worse, ordered drinks, breakfast and deserts and asked for the breakfast item first, before my daughter had even got back to the table from ordering the drinks had arrived and the ice cream shortly after, the waitress offered to take it back when i said I had ordered breakfast to eat first, then breakfast arrived along with my daughters desert we didn’t say anything again ,she ate while I had breakfast but i did have to go and ask for cutlery, we then waited over an hour and had to ask for are deserts which were promptly brought over and the table cleaned . Quite a few wasps flying around inside too which was annoying others . Food is great would suggest ordering separately if you want savoury then deserts

Visited with the family. Loved the ice-cream, great hot chocolate. Even the dog gave the ice-cream👍 Definitely worth a visit.

This is a fantastic place if you like ice cream- and excellent value for money. We had a light lunch- panini and jacket potatoes followed by ice creams and sorbets. There is a choice of many flavours and toppings and they do cater for vegans- one in our party.

Cannot fault the ice cream service or the pleasant staff. My issue is that in this day and age of recycling it is not possible to have your empty plastic containers refilled ,however you can purchase a reusable polystyrene one litre container at a cost of £2 just like the plastic ones for contents volume. come on wallingswallings help your customers reduce your carbon footprint by refilling only wallings one litre containers which will if the idea takes off reduce your overheads and landfill.

Ice cream 🍨 what more can you say ! If you love ice cream this is the place for you ! 😘❤️however eating in they have changed the menu and you can get a few breakfast items as well! Yet to try ! Because if your coming to Wallings your coming for ice cream your not coming for egg on toast ! The ice cream is second to none and you can buy it to eat outside but for nearly the same prices now you can eat inside ! So we did !! This is for a birthday treat !! However we use to come more often but just can’t afford it now 🥲🥲

It's a busy place so give yourself some time. Lots of various flavours of ice cream. You'll be spoilt for choice

I've been here several times now and it's by far the best I've cream I've ever had!! There's so much choice and the flavours are absolutely fab. Brilliant value for money. When they say 2 scoops they really mean 4...the portions are huge! If you haven't been here then you are really missing out. Staff are really friendly too.

I was curious to try this with my partner after a recommendation from a friendEven on a rainy and chilly afternoon it was busy with a significant queue which was a good sign. A lot of flavor's to choose but to be honest I was hoping for a little more innovation. We both had a cone with 2 scoops each , all different flavor's . The portion sizes were good and we felt it was value for money, but they definitely did not have the intense flavor profiles or silky soft texture of a classic gelato

Felt sorry for the young server in the takeaway section. She was working the till, then making up what you ordered (cakes, coffee etc). No one came to help her even though there was a long queue.

We have often eaten the delicious ice cream but on this occaision we had Coffee and cake, We both had the traybake cakes but there were many more available. The cakes and coffee were good and generous in portion. The staff were very friendly and the premises were very Covid safe

We have visited several times over the summer and the system worked. Today it didn't, we waited 1.5 hours for the ice-cream parlour. Lots of people gave up and went home. On getting to the ordering stage there was only one staff member serving for the palour, other staff were not looking particularly busy, it was a joke. What a shame when they had been doing so well. I doubt we will be returning that quickly, please go back to the original covid system!

Quality ice cream to many flavors to list i had Lemon Meringue and Cream Egg in a waffle cone good value for the quality. Disabled friendly just let them know as you drive in they rely looked after us.

I and my friend visited this excellent place this afternoon. As we are both disabled we pulled into a designated parking space and before I had time to turn the engine off the security guard was at my window with a menu and to tell us to remain in the car and someone would be with us shortly to take our order. Within 5 minutes a young lady was there to take our order. When my friend who is slightly more mobile than me got out of the car to go and pay the same security officer came straight over to see if he could help, when my friend explained she was going to pay for our order he escorted her to the head of the queue to pay . The service was both courteous and caring particularly from the security officer, who I believe was called Harley,. The icecream was delicious and served in generous portions. There is a very extensive list of flavours. Well worth a visit and I would highly recommend going. I will certainly be going again.

Was slightly apprehensive about visiting Wallings with the current restrictions in place! Would like to commend them for getting it spot on! Brilliant speedy and efficient service as always! New flavours tried over the last week have been: eton mess, coconut, stem ginger and malty teaser (black cherry ripple in a take away tub) They are all amazing and so much choice! Blackcurrant cheesecake remains my all time fave, or maybe coconut?? Ice cream heaven! If you are in the area Wallings is a must

Used to go here all the time when I was at Lancaster Uni, and decided on a nostalgic visit back yesterday. Wallings is honestly one of my favourite places - the triple chocolate ice cream is AMAZING, the prices are ridiculously reasonable, the servings are so generous, and the chocolate is DELICIOUS. You now fill in a form if you want an ice cream sundae, selecting scoop flavours and toppings, so I had hot melted chocolate and marshmallows on top. Literally ordered, sat down at our table and the ice cream was put in front of me not even a minute later. I seriously think they’re magic! ❤️

Just popped in today - just beware if you ask for 2 scoops you will get at least 4. We have travelled all around the world and I have to say that this was one of the best ice creams I have ever had, we will certainly be back, I am looking forward to it now!!

I have been a couple of times now, and I like it, a lot. Its nicely presented inside, good service, relaxed, not too corporate but family run feel. I find a nice little retreat on my day o work. I have a small cone but scoops are generous sizes. Price is £1.60 i think. That's enough for me, a small cone. others I see get large waffles etc...but I'm happy and value just that. Gets busy on weekends, car parking can be squeezed but can walk from down the lane. good place.

We had been told that if we were nearby we simply HAD to visit Walkings. We did and what a TREAT we had. Super place, great staff and the most delicious ice creams. As it was near Christmas they had Devine chocs for sale, so of course we just had to buy some for presents!

We visited Wallings in Cockerham Village on Bank Holiday Monday. We were looking for a breakfast venue and found Wallings. The restaurant and ice cream parlour are located in beautifully converted farm buildings . We opted for a variety of ice cream related waffles and pancakes and were thrilled with our selections. Friendly and professional staff, clean and spacious premises and Llamas in the field. Brilliant!

Heard through people about Wallings home made ice cream. Decided to visit & we were glad we did. There is plenty of on-site parking. It was fairly busy with constant cars visiting. The waiting queue was about 10 mins to get served. The variety of flavours is impressive. The lady who served us was friendly. The 4 of us each had 2 flavours waffle cone ice cream. The scoops were quite generous. I thought the apple pie flavour was wow, tasting like eating an actual apple pie. We thought all the flavours were really nice. There is plenty of indoor & outdoor seating. I would visit again & would recommend a visit.

Can’t fault this place for waffle & ice cream. The price I can’t believe what you get on your plate for a fiver and it’s in a lovely country barn setting. The staff are polite and friendly as well.

Came here on recommendation of a friend, easy to find visited on the way back from Lancaster. The place is like a big barn, found the tables and high chairs to be a bit unclean. The toilets were unclean on our visit too- used the baby change facilities and they were in a dirty disabled toilet- not the best experience! We had a coke float, that was presented mostly overflowing in a sticky mess, with a wet napkin underneath, a cherry scone with cream and jam, this was fresh and very tasty and my husband had a 3 scoop sundae but the ice cream wasn’t as amazing taste wise as everyone has made out!! The malteaser was nice but the cream egg ice cream tasted nothing like and the vanilla ice cream was bland. Overall , I think there is nicer places to get ice cream or for desserts. Wouldn’t make the trip from Preston again.

Excellent ice cream and massive portions. Blackcurrant Cheesecake had a nice sharp tangy taste. Coconut was very creamy and triple chocolate was delicious. Best ice cream around made from local ingredients. Highly recommended.

I came to Wallings a few years ago and it was a fairly basic concern back then but still a busy old place as people travel some distance to try the product. When we came today it was much transformed and looks a very professional outfit. The takeaway side of things was very busy. Lots of choice and service was swift.

To enjoy an icecream sundae the hardest part is selecting just which icecream flavours to have and then what to add. But they have made it delightfully simple - take one of the forms, fill it in with your selctions, and then hand the form to one of the staff and your sundae will be delivered to you. Each of us selected a two-scoop, two-flavour sundae which we found more than adequate.

This is a brilliant idea You can have sundaes, cakes, milkshakes etc I would very happily visit this place again because it was lovely

Went and they have amazing selection on offer. Good size portions. Worth a visit also they offer home made cakes to take home. There is a large selection of tubs of ice cream to take home and enjoy. There is also some farm animals to walk round to have a look at. Outside seats to enjoy your ice cream.

Absolutely love this place. I am really fussy with ice cream and Wallings ice cream is unreal. Whatever flavour you crave they have it. Even a flavour you haven't thought of, they got it! The portions are really generous, great value for money. If you haven't been, you need to!

The ice cream and dessert selection here was obviously great, the Create Your Own sundae option was a favourite! Hundreds of different ice cream flavours with pancakes, waffles and more! There wasn’t much beside the desserts available here which was a shame as some light cafe grub like toasties and jacket potatoes would go down very well.

Went here for the first time last week and annoyed that we had never been before. What a great place. Great venue and options. Create your own sundae is a must for all ice cream fans.

Very nice to place to go for a ice cream when it’s warm and the cakes and coffee is very good I would recommend it to anyone who wants a day out and who’s want to meet up with friends or family or anything and the food is really nice and the customer service is great

Lovely place, but gets very busy at peak times, so you can struggle to find a seat. Nice ice-cream and desserts. A great spot to meet up with friends or family. Defintely worth a visit.

Place seems nice enough, felt uncomfortable when I asked if they offered vegan ice cream, which didn't seem a silly question.

Had a wonderful first visit to this place for a sample of their great ice cream. I loved the idea - you can select different flavours from a ubiquitous selection of high quality flavours and toppings, to create a unique sundae. There really is something for everyone and every single flavour I tried was outstanding. Would certainly recommend, there are also alpacas on site to look at outside which made a pleasant atmosphere outside the cafe area.

We have called at wallings lots of times, each time we have been really satisfied this time unfortunately we bought apple and blackberry crumble pie which was microwaved it was dry and the crumble was anything but crumble.

Now I love ice cream, probably more than I should do Wallings is heaven on earth. Great selection of flavours and ample portions so a real must in my view. If the queue is long there are plenty of servers so go for it. Worth a short wait.

Situated approx c.2m off the M6 nr Lancaster, Wallings is a real hidden treasure for those with a sweet tooth.

Just stunning ice cream and fabulous service. Brilliant value for money and excellent choice of flavours. Not had food there yet but a repeat visit is imminent 😋
